I wanted to make this quick, but then I decided that since Md1 is being neglected because of Md2, I thought the intro should be as long as possible.
~~

I mean, what do we care? Md1 is being lost away in the dark, and Md2 is taking its place. Even www.pokemonmysterydungeon.com (http://www.pokemonmysterydungeon.com) got replaced with Md2 stuff!
~~

Anyway, hi. This is hannah909brown, here to share my stuff. My current team is-
Chickorita, Totodile, Magnemite
all with really good levels and really good moves! We cant let Md1's features get stolen by the second!
~~

Sure, more pokemon. Sure, better graphics and whatnot. New moves. It all makes sence! The pokemon company was so displeased with the first they had to let it rot in a closet while Md2 did it's role.

There's no reason MD1 has to be forgotten, and it probably never will. My team was Raichu, Charizard, and Absol. Then I started a new game which I'm working on.

In a way MD1 is a bit better it has a little more after missions, at least until you get the Secret Rank in MD2, but I'm not sure how many side missions there are.

Edit: Plus in MD1 all the pokemon you pick to be leader of the team or even if you evolve it shows them sleeping in bed. In MD2 when you evolve you and your partner are just turned to one side then turn around to wake up. -.-

I think that MD1 is much better. I beat it, using Cyndaquil and Pikachu, I started over and now in Sinister Woods with Chickorita as me and Totodile as my partner, i also made Geodude tag along.

I am hoping to get the second one for my B-day, thought the 1st I will always play. My team right now is Charmander (Lv. 51), & Cubone (Lv. 31) Cubone is me, but I fell in love with Zukco, (Charmander) I started to play Zukco more.

I liked the first Mysterious Dungeon, despite its poor reviews. The second one improved on a number of things (you can take 4 pokemon with you into any dungeon, you can still recruit pokemon after your team is full, no annoying waiting-about-30-seconds-for-Pelipper-to-fly-across-the-screen-to-deposit-mail-you-don't-want, second jobs board, story-related pokemon have more developed personalities, great music, great customizable layout, and your partner is still social even after you beat the game).

However, it also did not improve on a number of things (some attacks by wild pokemon are too strong compared to others, multi-hit attacks that are lousy in the regular game are overly powerful in this one, PP Zero traps are SUCH a pain, Agility seems to work better for Wild Pokemon than it does for you, the only places to save are so far away [seriously, you have to go down two flights of steps and walk to the right across 2 other screens to get to your bedroom at the Guild, and Sharpedo Bluff is only slightly better], and when you deposit items like Geo Pebbles, they don't all combine into one large group and waste room in storage).

Still, both are great games and neither deserves to be forgotten.

I beat the game using Cyndaquil, Pikachu, Tropious, Tropious. (The two Tropious were recruited in the dungeon.)

Right now, I am playing as Houndour and my partner is my level 31 Quilava (Cyndaquil evolved) so when Hound's hp gets low, Quilava can do some stuff.

I just started today \o/ I have Skitty (me), Pikachu and usually Voltorb or Absol. I gave them all nicknames for some strange reason, but well, now I can imagine my Voltorb and Ledyba friends actually have a personality...
Is the game all the same with every partner pokemon, or does the choice matter somehow? I've been wondering this for a while... I mean, like, do for example pikachu and squirtle have different personalities that would affect their reactions?

PMD1 Will NEVER ever be forgotten not in my mind anyway. I could play that game for years and not get bored of it. PMD2 has has better graphics and what not but it has lots of flaws. You can't change your leader too walk around in town only in dungeons. Storage items don't stack. Traps get way too irritating (especially PP Zero Traps and Sticky Item Trap) but there are also good points. More Pokemon (491+ Pokemon appear) and more legendaries, better graphics, added effects and more than 1 recruitment item.

I really loved PMD1, but I think PMD2 is better.

PMD1 isn't really as much emotional and hard as PMD2, but I enjoy it.

Also, It doesn't mean that I hate PMD1 though.

I'm gonna restart (again), I think I'm gonna be a Pikachu for some odd reasons.

Anyways, I don't get why people are annoyed at PP Zero traps in PMD2, I mean, PMD1 has also got PP Zero trap.

Thats what happens to first games. Some people forget about them because a better version came out. I dont have a problem with PMD but PMD 2 is way better than PMD.

Couldn't agree more and also the fact that throwned objects can't be comined. Why would they do that for?
