View Full Version : Night with the Stars

In this night, I watch a thousand stars glimmer,
I see them shimmer and shine in this splendid night;
An abyss of eternal unknown, in this these stars shine,
bright and everlasting, their solemn promise speaks:
"In my heart I am with you, in my eyes they see,
such beauty so true, everlasting it shall be,
and even though I shine in the night, I will always be by your side,
questioning not your light, but always remaining beside;
oh dear queen, heed my call, glance at me, and I will be happy,
glance at me, and I will smile,"
said the stars, whose hopes and dreams were but with themselves,
in the dark, opaqueness of the night.

As day comes, the stars recede,
the ultimate glare of Solis overshadows;
however the stars do not falter!
Even in this interruption,
they merely rest and continue to dream,
for night shall come,
for night shall be,
night shall rise,
and the stars be free.

this is a touching poem, with real depth. it nicley points out that the stars are always there even when we cannot see them. also kudos on the present avatar, with the poetry in that also.

i enjoyed it very much :) keep writing!
