Because it seems like you can't really make a respectable RP these days without including one of these. So yes, any and all questions, comments and general drabble about this RP (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=143800) or anything even vaguely related to it goes in this thread from hereon out. Should I have any announcements to make, I will also make them here, so for those of you who have been accepted: check this thread out every once in a while. Saves a lot of confusion for all concerned.

I mean, I know you said that eliminated characters will wind up having some significance to the plot, but I want to be sure that we're on the same wavelength about that. :3

No, being disqualified does not equal exile from the island, unless the circumstances (like, you know, being caught in the midst of indiscriminately massacring your fellow competitors or something...NOT THAT I HAVE PLANNED FOR THAT TO HAPPEN) or ego of the character in question decrees otherwise. A disqualified character could still stay as a spectator, keep in touch with any friends/acquaintances from the remaining competitors (or plot vengeance, according to personal preference) and of course still poke into anything...out-of-the-ordinary that they may encounter. Really, though, until we reach something like finals or semi-finals stage then the whole disqualification thing won't be applied to any but severe rulebreakers/underperformers...unless someone has a burning desire to be dropped out of the tournament, of course. XD

Well...maybe, I might admit that there may be a touch of the old ojou trope in her manner to flesh out the lovely persona of my grandma's late cat (bless her vain little heart <3), and maaaaaybe the hair color had some slight influence to it. Though in honesty, the slapping is adopted from the cat; except that I thought Tacey would be too concerned about the state of her nails to go about scratching people on a regular basis, so I made a few alterations and-

That aside, bad news: I've got a family trip to the French alps coming up next Thursday. It's two weeks with no reliable computer access, give or take a day or two, depending on travel arrangements, so yeah...major bummer for my RPing. .__.

That being said, I shall kick off the first round of the tournament (complete with instructions) before I go and hope that there will be enough in it to provide something to occupy your interest for the duration of my absence.
So...for the the first round, you may feel free to take your time in narrating your characters' progress, possibly having them run into each other (more on this later), and just generally give it thought and detail. Time should not be an obstacle in this case.

Ahh...but it will all make more sense once the evil land developer has spoken his piece. IC coming up tomorrow. ^^

Meh, it's not really a summer thing. In my experience, there is virtually no handy time or season for gathering nine people in the same place to do the same thing unless you're paying/coercing them to. That's just part of how the world works. xD What matters is that we always have at least a few people around to keep the plot going.

Speaking of which...the first round of the tourney. So yeah, I've pretty much laid out the basics IC, but to clarify: the challenges bit is freeform and there for your personal amusement, though there would probably be a supervisor for each challenge point, with the challenge being something like clearing a battle or possibly solving a puzzle or - heck - even riddle of some sort. Just don't make it anything completely silly and you should be fine on that count. ^^ The rest...well, it's basically overcoming the terrain (either cliffside or cavern; your choice) and making your way to the aforementioned area. Just as a heads up, though: I don't want anyone actually completing their second round registration before I get back, because there's a little plot thing that I plan to do with that. Just have your characters arrive at the pokémon center and finish your post outside of it or with the character just entering, thank you. Laure is not really interacting with anyone, so just ignore his existence during my absence.

Anyhow...this is probably my last message to you guys before going, so...please keep this alive for me? :3

Oh, and don't make anything blow up, of course, not in a cataclysmic way, anyhow.

Technically, yes, any number of people can go through the same tests, routes etc., but only one person can take each challenge at a time. As for the whole test/trial/whatever execution...that's up to you. If you want me to, I can make something up, but I have enough trust in your writing skills to let you decide on your own. As long as it isn't something completely crack-headed (Like, you know, 'go capture that baby Lugia over there!') it's fine by me. :3

As for the whole determining thing...that's actually kind of beside the point since it's only the time on the character's registration form for the second round that counts, and I...actually have a little surprise in store for before those will get filled in. >D

When determining this sort of thing in general, though, it is post quality rather than quantity that determines the outcome. You can make it as few or many posts as you like, but by the time Laure drags his sorry buttocks over to that pokémon center I'd like the rest of the competitors to be there as well, for plot reasons. :3

Yes, I imagine that it would. The options would be displayed in writing, but given all the other crazy things that those thingamajiggers are supposedly capable of, I see no reason why they wouldn't react to voice. :3

I have this weak for the weird little girl characters so I'm glad that another person is enjoying her too. <3 Iris will definitely stick around the area, yeah, as she likes to mess with the competitors. I'm still leaving it up in the air whether she'll play something on adel in this round or a later one, or both, but it will definitely happen at some point. ;D

Just to, y'know, help me help you here, though; could you make a post where your character arrives at a challenge point and does the whole 'check the challenge details' routine, similar to with Ibuberu's post? (Hologram attendant marks the spot :x) I don't care where it is or how it looks, just give me a location and I'll work the rest out. ^.^

And yay, that's one 'scary' and one 'cute' for Iris. That adds up to 'scarycute', which is my favorite adjective EVAR. <3 Honestly, though, a lot of the scary came from the way Yibber wrote her post. :3

Ehh...the holograms wouldn't really have a personality at all since they're, you know, just holograms with a little comp installed in the area that's programmed to respond the pokédex and give instructions that way.

Your challenge description actually looks a little different than mine. If they are the same, though, uniformity makes sense in this case, right?

The following are hints relating to my character's riddle, if you want to read them. If you do not want to read them, they are still hints about the riddle.

Hint 1:
The girl is unimportant to the boy's identity. She mostly exists to show and explain the boy's characteristics.
Hint 2:
The boy's name has 8 letters.
Hint 3:
The boy is a Pokemon.
