lol well it kinda is and kinda isn't....just cos it's missing it's number doesn't mean it's not a pokemon...does it?

I liked MissingNumber but it wouldn't make sense as a real pokemon... It'll screw everything up x_x;;

Well, that's been repeated several and several times. Missingno. is sort of a "leftover" of the prototype game. The game producers forgot to remove it but it was too late. ^^

it is like the skeleton of a pokemon... it "was" a pokemon but they erased the idea, however a little flaw is made as they forgot to erase this half finished product.
however it does provide some challenges for ingame to fight a lvl 200 "skeleton pokemon"

It *would* be cool if it was a real pokemon, I do admit. I've seen some impressive fanfics that incorporate it but inevitably, it's just a template pokemon, as others have already said. Oh well.

I think Missingno should be catchable without messing up your game but not a real pokemon to show that the different types of pokeballs can catch more than just pokemon.

missingno is a pokemon just left out by game directors...probaly just a test subject before putting in the real ones...well if it aint a pokemon why can you capture it like a regular pokemon..(rumors say that he is a left out legendary bird)and it's name is just MISSINGNO. because it has no number and the data of it got erased so whats left is a bunch of pixels and the "MISSINGNUMBER".they erased the true name,face and other etc.'s of missingno so the pixels and MISSINGNO. sign was left T_T poor missingno
