Hack Name: Pokemon Valkyrian
Hack of: Pokemon FIRERED

Story:
You are a boy/girl who has just turned 10 (just like others), you wish to start your adventure even without a pokemon, before you manage to leave Oak will stop you and gets you to go to his lab with him, after you get your first pokemon, and thus your adventure starts here... Later on in the story around after cerulean gym (when you don't have HM01 Cut) a trainer will battle you saying he remembers you from pallet and will challenge you with his Jirachi, he becomes another one of your rivals... later on you have to beat him a second time to gain access to vermillion gym, the third time at cinnabar is optional but highly recommended for filling your pokedex.... later on. after all badges obtained, you can now challenge the Pallet Town gym leader who you find out who it is when you visit pallet after the fourth badge is obtained, if you beat this gym leader you will be told to go to Hoenn through Route 1 at the 'hoennporter' and he wants you to visit him in Littleroot. (when you get to hoenn, the region is basically getting taken over by tress, you recognise it that well). When you visit him he will tell about what has happened to Hoenn, but there is no way to stop it, but he asks you to go find the cave leading to the Valkyrian Region, and also visit his friend next door, but the door is locked, so cannot enter the house yet. You continue the journey to oldale which is now just a path leading to route 102, the whole Oldale is just trees basically. The pokemon of Hoenn have become vicious with high levels, no longer the peaceful level 2 - 4 pokemon, pre-evolved pokemon, they are all fully evolved. at the end of Route 102 you find the cave leading to the Valkyrian Region, you enter the cave and it is pitch black, you can't even use Flash, you move on through the cave, it is like a maze and is hard to find the exit, through the cave you find a cave that is goes deeper inside, this is Birth Cave but this cave is optional. You manage to get to the end of the cave sooner or later and you find the region said to be a myth... the valkyrian region. The pokemon here are rare, just like the pokemon in the cave, after getting to the valkyrian region you can get the nationaldex from Shadow in Littleroot Town.

yeah, i have and thanks for the support, i appreciate it and so you all know, the legendary pokemon locations are only there until the first Beta release which will be soon, you could probably use your own fire red save in the first beta if i don't do many edits to Kanto before the first beta, my current progress is mapping the Valkyrian Region then scripting some of it, the region is not fully complete but in the first beta, when you get to the region, you will have some access to the caves the will be there, but you won't have full access the entire region though, but i'm planning on making it a big region, not as big as Kanto though, but it will hopefully have more caves to explore and hunt for those orbs and rare pokemon.

Update:
Now that i have perfected the applymovement script, well not exactly perfected, this hack will become better, with more of a story and im thinking of getting rid of the Elite 4, i've done 1 script for the Valkyrian Region now, so to continue looking around the region you must talk to shadow to tell him it's not a myth, or you cannot continue the valkyrian region story, this is where the hack gets interesting, so once i get more screenshots and videos ill put them up in the first post.

I'm almost finshed mapping the area of the valkyrian region you can access in the First Beta, the first beta, you won't be able to get inside nextdoor neighbour in Littleroot because the scripting for girl inside will take a long time, maybe a week, but that will bring it up 2 progress in the meter and i would have to do a little extra for shadow in littleroot which i am yet to script and the man outside the hoennporter and also, do you think i should get rid of the Elite Four? or should i leave them in? that is your call because i must know before the first beta, but that is your choice. Beta 1 coming 2 - 5 days.

Ok all, i will hopefully have the First Beta up and running this weekend although you need to the Fire Red Story it will hopefully be worth it, Beta 1 will have a little part of the Valkyrian Story, which is hosted in the valkyrian Region, though it may not be completely tested by the time you get to do part of the Valkyrian Region Story, i just hope there are no bugs, so in the first post i will have what hasn't been tested and what has, so watch out for that.

A Delay has occured and the beta will now be released at a later date.

hehe, As i said you cannot visit all of hoenn only LittleRoot, Oldale, Route 101 and Route 102 and it's also taken over by trees etc. but more about that in beta 1.5/2.0 releases.

speaking of beta releases, The first beta is now available in the first post.
one thing though, you must go through the Fire Red Storyline as well. but after you win the 8th gym you can start either Island Stories or Valkyrian Stories or both at once, simple. but there will be battles throughout Kanto (namely 3) that will be new to you.

the Spriter and OW spriter is a good idea, appreciate it, it has been hard working on this hack solo, if anyone wants to help out there are open positions in the team section.

The brightening of the FR tiles is quite a good idea, but i'm not exactly sure if i will brighten all the tile palettes, maybe just the grass palettes.

well, right now Kanto hasn't really changed much but by around beta 1.5 there will be some new mappings for it and possibly some new areas. :surprised:
But that's all i'm gonna say about it for now.

I found a bug when you face shadow after the Cerulean portion of the game. I would face him and beat his level 24 Jirachi and the screen would turn red and the game would freeze up. What should I do about that?

That is strange, it didn't happen when i tested it before beta release. :\
Did you patch it to a CLEAN Fire Red rom?
If you patched it to a Fire Red rom that had been patched by another file, that could happen so be careful with that.
I suggest try getting a CLEAN, US, FireRed, BPRE, Version 1.0 release if you can find one.
I will give no clues whatsoever.
If the problem occurs, tell me and i'll see what i can do.

I'll have to check that when i get home from work, cause if you're right, looks like i'm gonna have to re-script that. :\
If you feel like it, Get Advanced-Map 1.92 from the Toolbox and remove that event if you want, it doesn't change anything.

EDIT: apparently it must've been a glitch, my run through it didn't happen, but i will still fix it just in case.

Haha, well, i was a n00b to hacking at first, but i've gotten better over the days that go by. Probably not best to play the first beta due to a major bug which i will have to fix up before beta 1.5.
There will be videos for this hack sooner or later as well... right now, not many major events (it's only first beta).

I'll take your advice into consideration, thanks for it.

Due to many problems beta 1 had concerning a battle mess-up (cerulean shadow battle) i have decided to take down the first beta, sorry for those who wanted to try it.
But Beta 1.5, Routes will be changed so watch out for that, Route 1 is like a maze, so be careful with that when i put up beta 1.5.
