View Full Version : D/P/Pt: 60 hours of my life possibly wasted......

I dunno if this belongs here but I just wanted to post this since I'm in a bad mood about it
I was enjoying the post game stuff, I only got a little taste of the new battle tower I was gonna go check out the cave heatran is at and probably raise the team i left behind before I went to E4(I only used Palkia and Infernape for E4) and have fun with other post story stuff....
I was having plenty of fun for the last 60+ hours I played and was looking forward to enjoying more hours of play until yesterday when I discovered my pokemon pearl wasn't in the ds slot it was missing.....
this disturbed me since I never take it out of its slot
but the day before I lost it i was out somewhere and took my ds out of my pocket to to play a bit when I turned my ds on, pearl didn't appear on the screen i was about to freak out and I noticed that it wasn't pushed in the slot all the way so I put it back in somehow it fell out....?
I remember coming back home to play my ds i didn't play pearl but leaf green but i'm sure i would have noticed if it was gone again on the main menu when selecting slot 2 but i still can't remember that part clearly so theres a slight possibly it fell put my pocket though I doubt it
I've thoroughly searched my room and have had no luck finding it
So if I never find it 60+ hours of my life have been wasted
$35
a perfectly legit deoxy from a recent event
another $35 if i buy another one and in buying another one it'll take me another 60+ hours to get where i was without my deoxys
If I don't find it it's a lose - lose situation
either I buy another copy or forget about it.....
i haven't even had a chance to get on wifi yet....

I don't know if this belongs in the correct forum, and I feel sympathy for your situation, as my Emerald has gotten stolen. My progress, all the way to where I caught the Regis, is all gone. And I almost had my pokedex completed. However, life goes on, and I learned to live without it. Someday, I'll purchase another one, but there's no use crying over spilled milk.
It might be somewhere within your house or something. This is just a mere suggestion, but might want to try looking in other areas? I'd feel like crap if something like this were to happen to me too, but I'd get over it rather quickly. Losing most materialistic items don't affect me rather much, and can be replaced.
But good luck finding your Pearl version, anyway. D:

i'm just reall gonna miss my deoxys i was gonna trade it for another event pokemon....
EDIT:
heck maybe after i'm done looking for it i'll go buy diamond so if it turns up i could fill up my sinnoh dex(catches) lol

Tough Luck.....but for me..it's not as magical as playing it the first time through if i do it again (I've done it with my friends but never myself)
I remembermy favorite game..pokemon gold.....i had defeated the game and gottens tons of pokemon(i being a collector) i was bored so i go to dark cave(really original tittle) and you need flash......i loved how i would get lost in dark cave andfind my way out. But then I was really lost and had stupidly saved the game(apparently my typholision got a cool move). I didin't wanna risk my beautiful game so instead of restarting..I just stayed away from the game. A week later...I wanted to play and I couldn't find it but it was at least inmy house. When my mom was cleaning..and dusting the inside of a lamp, she found my pokemon gold and it had half melted..and i was sad ever since
A few years later..at a garage sale..someone was selling pokemon silver for $2. I jumped at the opportunity and loved it but it was never as fun as the first tme with gold......
eventually my mom wanted me to give my cousins my gameboy color along with pokemon silver since they're dad prohibited video games. They wanted to try a cloning glitch and it failed......
Now it sits in the middle of a cupboard in pakistan with permanent nighttime (the glitch messed up the clock)
If you play things another time through..you avoid mistakes, learn strategies and know what will happen next but its not as fun as making the mistakes and learning from them, learning the strategies and not knowing what to expect...
The post-game stuff is qite cool but the storyline would be a drag for me..mabye you will be different

I know how you feel.
Emerald was one of the best games I ever played and I lost it in Wales, I've bought another copy but I havent really played on it. Had it 2 years now aswell lol.
Come to think of it, I never got to migrate one decent pokemon due to starting new agmes at the wrong time. Time to replay through methinks.
Anyway, on-topic again, I hope you get your game back. That sounds very unlucky. Dont worry about your Deoxys, once you get to wi-fi, you'll easily get another one.

Long time ago but I lost my Blue version when i had all the starters lvl 100 (legally) and a lvl 99 Dragonite =(
I then found it and the weirdest thing happened, i somehow got a lvl 0 ditto and then my game went corrupt and u havta start a new game everytime you play.
It was weird.

Ouch, man I felt that, when my diamond went in the wash with 200 hours of play, added on to the onehundred spent in ruby, that makes three hundred. But I found it. But compare this to water pokemon master of pokebeach. He went on a them ride called ghost rider and his DS WITH his game went flying off of it...

My total Pokemon Diamond times is 407 hours and 36 minutes, but for me, I would'nt freak out over losing it becuse for a 15 year old, I have a pretty good ammount of money saved up. I would most likely freak out over retarting the game. Anyway, don't give up looking. I've lost my games before, but instead of putting effort into looking for them I pretty much found them by walking through my room later finding out it was just in my unorganized drawers. :D
Luckily I moved to a differant state and never heard from him again
And you still never got your game back. XD

judging by what you just said, I think you should take a break from pokemon and come back to it. Or at least from d/p. Get the new game when it comes out and you will be forced into making new mistakes and training different pokemon, just like you want :-D
haha if you get a craving just play a different version, that you own
