Intro

HI! I'm element, i am making a game with poccils starter kit, this game is pretty unique, it is off the normal path of the normal Pokemon games and its story is more serious and deaper, so may i present Pokemon Outlaw!

STORY


You play a 13 year old kid living in the region of sana, one
day you were outside playing with your eevee when a group of weird
looking people (the evil team) approach you and take your eevee by
force. You run to the local professors lab, and tell him what happened.
He says that there is nothing to do, and you should wait for the
authoritys to do something. His lab assistant comes in and says that
they had a break through upstaits. So the professor goes up the stairs
and tells you he's sorry but he has to go. Your character is really
frustrated and wouldn't stand by and do nothing, when he saw 3 pokemon
on the table beside him (i don't know the starters yet) you decide to
take one and go out to look for the evil team. once you go outside the
professor comes out and tells you to come back. You become afraid and
make a run for it. When you finally lose them you find the evil team
and demand that they give you your eevee back. The grunt that had your
eevee says that if you beat him he will give your eevee back. Once you
beat him the grunt gives your eevee back and fled. Your father who was
following you says that you should run, he says that you are now wanted
by the public and that the evil team will now try to kill you he gives
you some pokeballs and a cell phone, You must now try to clear your
name while trying to gain the trust of the public and not die by the
hands of the evil team. Once you get a bit farther into the game you
learn the plan of the evil team.
There will be gyms, but the leaders will first try to arrest you, but
after you beat them they will give you a badge and their friendship

Real nice screenshots! I like how you're an outlaw. ^^

I would prefer a different flooring for the trainers room, and you need to put shading for the floor tiles in ALL the houses. You need more variety of the grass tiles. Also, why is the lab sticking off a cliff? O_O

A rep system would be fun, but if it's your first time, I wouldn't reccomend doing one. (Rep system sorta reminds me of Pokemon Protectors ^_^)

Can't wait for the beta!(Or the demo... or whatever you call it... XD)

Element - I like your plot and screenies and stuff - but uhh, there's ONE thing that's just bugging me. The grammar in your dialogue (like, in the game) is lacking. For example, thief is spelt 'thief', not 'theif'....

Sorry, I'm just really nit-picky about that stuff. It makes it look more professional with proper grammar. When someone's angry and it's in all caps, that's fine - I just think it would be better with more accurate punctuation and spelling.

okay here are some spoilers about the maps story (it's pretty improtant to the story


well i modeled this after my home town anyway this is what happens in dis map

right when you get in the map a police man comes and warns the town about a dangerous criminal (you)

after that the ways out of the city are blocked, if you ask one of the police man that are blocking it why they are there they will tell you that it is because they do not want to let the criminal escape and that until the investigation is finished no one can go outside of the city.

after looking around a bit the gym leader of the town will find you and try to arrest you, after you beat him you will make him listen to your side of the story.

he will then take you to an underground passage inside his gym, then the police will barge in and try to arrest you, the gym leader will push you into the underground and tell you to get out and that he would hold them back, you here a gunshot that was supposed to be for you followed after by a yell, the gym leader did not survive......

The first one died! Perhaps you should make him severaly injured, but when you go back at the end of the game, if your name gets cleared, you see he is back at the gym!

i have also posted a fakemon that is going to be in my game! it is the dragon evolution of eevee, also it is going to be one of the ONLY fakemon in my game.

Oh, nice, I like it. But for your fakemon... The sprite is cute, but what does the 'vern' part of its name stand for? The Eevee evolutions kind of follow a pattern in accordince to type, such as

Leafeon = "Leaf"
Glaceon = "Glacier"
Vaporeon = "Vapor"
Flareon = "Flare"
Jolteon = "Jolt"
Espeon = "ESP"
Umbreon = "Umbra" (meaning 'shadow' and 'ghost' in Latin)

So what does "Vern" mean/stand for?

Btw I think you're thinking of a Wyvern, a species of bipedal dragon who's forearms consist of two batlike wings (sorry dragon fanatic)

Check your volume control. Go to the "Advanced Settings", and enable SPDIF. That should stop the static, and put the music in.

I like the brown, but it feels like EVERYTHING is brown. the floors brown, tables, walls, counter, and stairway. I like the idea of changing it. I feel like you should add some other colors in there though.

The game has the potential except for the "fakemon". ( Just my opinion, I dont like your "fakemon")
Your mapping aren't that good, just improve your mapping.

I like the idea of using icons, the two pokéballs, although not perfect look really good. Now let me begin by saying the floppy is perfect, but lets fact it, floppy disks have gone the way of the dodo. Why not have it as a flash drive/ jump drive/ whatever you feel like calling them? You can save data to them as well.

It's just an idea. If you like it run with it, if not that's ok too.
