need help with a hack

Hi I am kinda new at game programming or editing but I have encountered a problem, that I can't seem to figure out.How do you change the text of a person and add events to the game. I been trying but I am having no luck what-so ever. It would be awesome if someone could give me a tip on how to do that or a program that does it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

KingKombat, Thats totally wrong.
To make events and so on you have to use a program called PokeScript.
Tutorials for PokeScript can be found in the Rom Hacking > Tutorial section.

noe as for what you need, there is little that you need.
basically XSE,advancemap, and some other tools like UNLZ-GBA.

oh, i thought he meant something else, sorry. to MAKE events you are gonna need a script/hex editor, as said above, pokescript.
