A Gym Leader's Journey
Sign-Ups are CLOSED! With the exception of the exceptional

Plot:
This was a time before the famous Pokemon Tourney. A time before the Elite 4. A time before Gym Leaders. People still battled with their Pokemon, but not for badges, or money, or fame. They did it for the pure fun of it. But that would all change soon. There was word going around that the best trainers in all the land were recruiting talented trainers to run things called "Gym's". The "Gym Leaders" were to have a specialty in one specific type and take on any trainer that challenged them.

Many talented trainers took up the challenge, but only 8 would succeed. The road ahead of them would be filled with many tough trials and decisions. But what they didn't know was that a newly formed team of evil-doers, known as Team Crisis, was out to crush their dreams and rule the region as the most powerful trainers.

Team Crisis was lead by Drogan Mallice. They were a newly formed team, formed from the lust of stealing Pokemon and ruling the world. Their goal was to stop the formation of the Gym's and defeat the would-be Gym Leaders so they could reign supreme.

Now it is up to you, to either form these Gym's or stop them. The choice is yours. And let your journey be filled with excitement, adventure, and success!

-----------------------------------
Setting:
This RP will take place in the Kanto Region. But this is before any Gym's were built, so don't walk into Pewter City saying "Oh, look! Brock's Gym!". The cities and towns are still the same, just Gymless. You will be forming, or destroying, the Gym's in these cities and towns later on in the RP. Most of the towns, like Lavender and Pallet, are rural areas with few people living there. The cities are fairly busy, but not as busy as they will be when the Gym's are formed. All in-game areas will be present to. And by in-game areas, I mean places like Seafoam Islands, Cerulean Cave, etc. There also might be a couple of new places I could throw in. But we'll just have to wait and see for that.

-----------------------------------
Rules:
1. ALL of the Poke'Community Forum rules apply
2. NO GODMODDING, BUNNYING, OR POWERPLAYING OF ANY KIND!
3. NO going outside your specified type!
4. NO bashing other RP'ers! Nobody likes people who are rude.
5. Their is a two-paragraph MINIMUM! If you break this offence 3 times, you WILL be kicked!
6. NO CATCHING LEGENDARIES!!!
7. NO SCRIPTING OF ANY KIND!
8. Any and all NPC and Wild Pokemon battles will be played by me, all pokemon evolutions and captures will also be decided by me. For an evolution, PM me and I will decide if your pokemon has earned it yet
9. Have Fun!!!

To prove to me you have read this, PM me with this sentence: I have read the rules of your RP, and i promise to obide by them.

New Age Retro Hippie
October 3rd, 2008, 06:39 AM
Name: Joshua O’Dwyer
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Trainer type: Plain ol’ trainer

Appearance: Josh is a relatively tall boy for his age, tall enough to be pointed out for this fact. His body shape leans a little towards the thinner side, most likely a trait associated with his height. Due to his body shape, he has been called “Beanpole” numerous amounts of times much to his displeasure. His skin is the normal golden tan of someone who stays outdoors. His hair is a sun-kissed light brown, lighter golds marbled within. It’s a little on the long side, particularly around his fringe. His eyes are perhaps the plainest one would ever see, being dull brown with little variation anywhere across his iris. The rest of his thin face is equally unremarkable.

Josh opts for simple clothing: black shirt and jeans, really, how more basic can you get? The button-up shirt is rather matte in its colour, not being anything fancy enough to warrant an iron every day. Josh generally leaves the top button undone. Around his neck hangs a silver chain with a gold and silver cross-shaped pendant. On top of his head is a pair of sunglasses that he wears on very glary days. His jeans are just that: Plain old denim jeans. They’re relatively new, and so are not scuffed. On his feet is a pair of black running shoes.

History: Josh’s family has lived in Pewter city for many generations, and Josh is no exception. Bred, born and raised in the slate-grey city, he has never once before set foot outside its limits. And he was perfectly happy that way, growing up, visiting the museum… He was perfectly content. That was, however, before he saw a few older kids battling with their Pokémon. He had always seen Pokémon purely as pets and never as fighters. This new concept excited him far beyond anything previously in his life.

He became more interested in his family’s pet Spearow, having seen it harry at a Caterpie which was unfortunate enough to be in the O’Dwyer’s backyard at the same time as the viscous little bird. Josh began to train the small creature to battle, and by the time he was eleven he became of the best battlers in his class, then his year, and then with a few rental Pokémon his school. He thought nothing could stand between him and Spearow!

…Except death. Josh was staying over at a friend’s house one night, and Spearow was sleeping in the O’Dwyer’s backyard for Josh’s parents forgot to let it back in. That happened to be the one night that a particularly hungry Mightyena was roaming the streets, caught a whiff of the unprotected bird and within minutes all that was left was a bloodstain and some feathers. Josh was crushed, and stopped focusing on anything to do with battling. That was, until a woman he had seen on TV for being one of the most famous trainers approached him, inquiring about his talent and if he would take up a particular offer of becoming strong enough to form something called a “Gym”…

Personality: Josh is a rather confident boy, letting nothing get in his way. He’s loud and very honest, which does create the occasional problem. He tends to go with the flow and generally avoids thinking for himself if possible, but if an idea strikes him it’s like a lightning bolt with recurring static, it sticks to him and doesn’t go away unless he executes said idea: he’s highly motivated to extract these ideas to their fullest. He’s quite a nice person in general, and doesn’t like making enemies – though admittedly, he has via those wacky schemes his brain shoots him with. He’s quite caring, yet when the going gets tough he is his number one priority. He can’t say no to a fight, whether it just be a simple Pokémon battle or a real, full-out brawl.

Pokémon Type: Fire
Starter Pokémon: Charmander

Accepted. I liked it. Very creative. The whole spearow thing made me think you would be a flying trainer, but you suprised me with the fire. I would like a little backstory on how you obtained Charmander though.

BY THE WAY GUYS! You don't have to pick a starter pokemon as your starter. Like it doesn't have to be bulbasaur, squirtle, etc. Any lowest-evolution pokemon following your type will work

FINALLY DONE

Name: Noah Azhael
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Trainer type: Team Crisis

Appearance: Noah’s overall height is slightly shorter than the average height; Only standing at 5’5”. Accompanying his short height, is his lack of weight, weighing just above 100 pounds. As imagined, he bears no fat, only slight muscle. Despite the unfit appearance, he is in good shape. Most of the time, his black hair is spiked from the back of his head, but not on the top. When reaching his forehead, his hair is styled downwards to the right, leaving most of the left side of his forehead visible, with slight lochs of hair styled downwards in that area. When wearing a hat, he always wears it backwards. His eyes are hazel, with a tint of blue. He wears black-thick rimmed glasses. For jewelry, he wears a nose ring, snake bites, and gauges. On occasion, he is seen with black dashes under his eyes. He has a goatee going on his chin. He has a few tattoos; A skull with bat wings on his left shoulder, the letters L and P crossed into each other in a circle, and the letters “MCR” on his lower back.

Around his neck, Noah wears two dog tag necklaces, and one normal necklace. On his hands, he wears black, fingerless gloves. Most of the time, he wears a black shirt, and a black jacket sometimes. Around his waist, he wears a spiked belt, with six blank areas for Pokeballs. He usually wears blue Levi jeans. He wears Vans for shoes, that can be slipped on and off, not being completely tied.

History: Noah, still young, has lived anything but a normal life. Noah’s family could be considered to be called ‘rich’, or anything along those lines. This usually is a shocker, really, due to his personality, not being a stuck up spoiled brat or anything of the type; in fact, growing up in a heavily populated area like Vermillion City, he hated it, only enjoying just a few of the perks. He was always treated differently for being rich, whether people were trying to be his friend just to use him for the said perks, or like Ponyta crap for people envying his lifestyle. He was treated like so, until he actually got into the battling world, at age 13. When he turned that age, he ran away from his home, finally getting away from the place he would now describe as a “wretched hellhole”.

Even though his career as a Pokemon battler has been short, he has gotten in so much in all the time, having more and more fun with each battle, never even using his own Pokemon! His travels caused him to get lost one day in Viridian Forest. Having spent a total of a week lost in the forest, when he got out, he had gained a newfound love for bug Pokemon, making friends with a few stray Pokemon of the type. When he finally got out, he continued living his ‘normal’, in his sense, life. The more battles he fought and won eventually got him invited to some parties, which is where he got his current personality.

During recent events, while battling with a friend of his at a party, he heard about the gym leader ordeal. He talked the idea over with his friends, but his final mindset was that he wanted everything to stay the same.

Personality: Despite his metal head appearance, Noah is a pretty laid back person, most of the time. If his personality could shortly be described, it would be done so as one who goes with the flow. He is a joy to be around, too; Quite literally the life of the party. He is also a silly person, making jokes, and using whatever material he can, easily able to think on his feet. Obviously, he is a very smart, and nice person. However, he can fly off the chain, which is something you don’t want to be around for when it happens. In such a situation, he will either ask whoever is angering him to stop, or he will try to ignore the person. In all seriousness, he sticks to a plan from beginning to end, focused, and not caught off guard. Along with the serious side, Noah is a completely different person in battle, using his smarts in form of battle tactics, fighting on until the end.

Other info: Though he would seem like a trainer up for the gym leader challenge, he would like to keep everything as is.

Too, he enjoys underage drinking.

He also dislikes people who are rich and brag about it, though he will not treat them badly or anything.

Pokemon Type: Bug

Starter Pokemon: Scyther - Pinser

RP Sample: yayy a made up/battle sample thing using a previous character of mine (Marcus from Kats GT)

“Alright, great one, Nidoking!” exclaimed Marcus, as an opponent Pokemon fell to the ground, defeated.

A trainer rushed over to it, engulfing it’s body in a red energy, returning it to its Pokeball. “Ah! You got me! Darn! Well, I bet you won’t be able to defeat my friend! CJ, beat this guy!”

“What’s the problem, bro?” A teenage walked up to his defeated friend, taking a look at Marcus and his Nidoking. “So, you want me to defeat this kid? He don’t look so tough.”

“Looks can be deceiving. A two on two match sound good with you?”

“’s good with me. Come on out, Tauros! Show this guys Nidoking some real muscle, Horn Attack!”

“Nidoking, counter it, Mega Punch!”

Exclaimed to two trainers. The bull Pokemon stomped its feet on the ground, exhaling a violent breath before charging at Nidoking, full speed. However, Nidoking was ready to counter, charging a white power in its fist, thrusting it out towards the opposing Tauros.

“Tauros, duck!”

Tauros, before being hit by the power fist, ducked its head. The attack continued, Tauros’ horns making full contact with Nidokings body.

“Now, toss it in the air, and use Flamethrower!”

The bull used all its might to pick up the heavy Nidoking, but it still managed to do so. Tauros, once more using all its might, tossed the helpless Nidoking into the air. As Nidoking let out a yell while airborne, a vigorous flame rushed towards him; completely unable to defend himself. He suffered a burn from the intense heat, so once he fell to the ground, he was defeated.

“Ah! Nidoking, you did your best. This next one is not going to be so easy- go, Scyther!” Marcus threw out a Pokeball in front of himself. Emerged was a bug with scythes and wings.

“Ha! Did you just not see that Flamethrower? Tauros, finish it!”

“The flames won’t be an issue. Scyther, dodge and use Slash!”

Once again, Tauros launched a fury of flames, but not in time for Scyther to use its speed to go under. In a mere second, Scyther slashed violently at Tauros. The flames ceased on contact, as the impact from under itself caused it to go airborne, like the previous defeated opponent.

“Use Silver Wind to finish it!”

Scyther nodded, as its wings began to glow a silver color. Quickly, Scythers wings began moving rapidly, creating a strong gust of win that was Silver Wind. When Tauros landed on the ground, it was immediately knocked back down from the Silver Wind. Obviously, Tauros was now defeated.

“Damn! Tauros, return! Go, Graveler, Rollout!”

CJ threw out a Pokeball, and out came a literal rolling rock. Scyther was hit, but not defeated, despite the type disadvantage.

“I guess that one took me by surprise… Hm…Scyther, we gotta keep it off the ground. Swords Dance and Air Slash!”

Scyther quickly spun around, creating a gust of wind around itself, which was broke by its scythes. Graveler was once again rolling towards Scyther at a dangerous speed, however Scyther countered with a powerful ball of wind, which was launched at the ground below Graveler. The rock Pokemon was airborne, leaving Scyther complete chance to hit. Scyther charged forward, slashing at the rock hard exterior. Despite this powerful looking hit, the rock Pokemon only received any mass amounts of damage from hitting the ground.

“Ha! You really think your puny bug can defeat a rock type!? Rock Blast!”

“I don’t think Scyther’ll stand for that! X-Scissor, full power!”

Once again, the two Pokemon were at it. Graveler began launching rocks at Scyther. However, it was prepared; Scyther, panting, crossed its scythes in form of an x, slashing each rock the came at it into four pieces. After the rocky attack, Scyther gave a threatening and confident smirk, as it was its turn to attack. Scyther once again used its impressive speed to fly towards the opponent, using the x shaped slash up close on Graveler in no time at all.

“Now, use the finisher combo we’ve been working on!”

Scyther used Slash, but below the hurt Graveler. It was now sent airborne. Once it was, Scyther used the silver gusts of wind to launch it into the air further. Once this feat was accomplished, it was time for the final blow. Scyther jumped and flew up above the flailing, helpless Graveler. Using X-Scissor at full power, the attacks intensity caused Graveler to fly down to the earth at a high speed. Once Graveler hit the ground, it literally caused a crater effect, leaving a hole in the ground in impact. Scyther too, flew down to the ground, tired from the tedious battle.

“Graveler, return! Guess you were right about the looks can be deceiving thing…” Said CJ, returning his utterly defeated Pokemon.

“Good job Scyther, you deserve a rest. And, nothing’ to it. Just trust your Pokemon in battle, and don’t always count on looks.”

To be completely honest, I'm reusing my favorite character. :x I only got to post with him three times, as the RP died shortly after.

Name: Jett Donnovan
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Trainer type: Team Crisis.

Appearance: Jett stands at around 5'10". He weighs very little for his height, amounting to no more than 112 pounds. His body is quite slim--most people can fit their hand around his wrist with ease. Though, that isn't to say he looks sickly, as he certainly doesn't. His bones aren't visible, and, while he's small, it isn't a trait most people can pick up on without having their hands all over him...and he's not going to let that happen. Ebony hair falls across his pale forehead, parted on the left side, causing his right eye to be completely obscured by his side bangs. His greyish-black eyes are somewhat narrow, slanting ever so slightly upwards. A devious grin can often be seen painted across his face. Around his slender neck, he wears a black choker. Jett wears a white button down shirt, form fitting yet has moving room, a red tie hanging loose around his neck. Atop this, he wears a black dress jacket that matches his nice black dress pants. His feet are covered by a pair of black dress shoes. Both his shirts are long enough that they obscure the Pokéballs latched onto his belt. To cover his face, he wears a black bandanna around his nose and mouth. All in all, Jett looks relatively nice, if not incredibly emo.

History: Jett was born in Ecruteak City in Northern Johto. His family was extremely wealthy, and gave him all the opportunities in the world. He was a happy baby, never wanting anything more than to play with his toys, perhaps watch a video from time to time. He had an older sister-Heather-who was the pride of the family. She was an excellent Pokémon trainer, and the favorite Donnovan child. As a result, their parents would dote on her, leaving Jett to entertain himself. As Jett grew up, he was compared constantly to Heather, as she was thirteen years his elder. He felt his parents were trying to raise another Heather, rather than accept him for who he was. Try as he might, nothing Jett did was ever good enough, as he didn't do it as well as Heather. When he was five, he was enrolled in a private kindergarten, where he met his then-best-friend, Akihiko. He would spend hours after school at the other boy's house, as it meant that he would not have to go home and face the wrath of his parents. When he finally did go home, they often had begun to dote on Heather, thus leaving Jett to sulk in peace in his room. Because he was alone in his room so much, he developed a brilliant imagination, and subsequently, a brilliant mind. He would often devise plans to escape, despite being only six years of age. He ran away from home numerous times, but had to return for one reason or another. Upon walking through the door, his father would pull out a wooden spoon and spank Jett with it.

The day Jett turned seven was the same day that Heather had a huge battle. His parents tried to take him along, but he refused to go with them, so the boy ended up spending his birthday alone. Or, at least, he would have, had Akihiko not come over that day. His friend brought him a cupcake (haphazardly made, but still, the thought had been nice), topped by a single candle. The two spent the rest of the day together, only separated when Jett's parents returned late that night. He later found out that his parents had been too busy planning for Heather's battle to purchase presents for him. That day, his only gift was a single cupcake. Despite being plagued with misery, Jett still tried as hard as he could to be happy. He would find small things to take pleasure in on days where he couldn't see Akihiko, such as reading comics, or flipping a coin to see how many times it would show tails. While it seems as though it was a sad life, these little pleasures helped Jett cope with day-to-day life, and, when coupled with Akihiko, are probably among the reasons he is still alive to this day.

When he was eight, he began to attend public school, along with his best friend Akihiko. The two were often picked on, both for being small and pale. This never affected them much, as they always had each other to fall back upon. Jett and Akihiko became closer by suffering together, so the taunting had turned out to be a blessing in disguise. While other kids played on the jungle gym or the swingset, Akihiko and Jett would sit together on a bench and play cards, or talk, but always something they could do by themselves. Jett spent an increasing amount of time at Akihiko's house. The two would wander off to the apple tree in Aki's backyard and sit on a branch for hours, just eating apples. His parents didn't miss him much, as his absence made it possible for them to dote on Heather more. The routine continued all the way up to Jett's tenth birthday. It was then that his life began to spiral downward.

A few weeks after he turned ten, Heather decided to take him for a walk. It was then that she apologized profusely for everything that had happened to him. She explained that she hadn't wanted the attention she had received, and only did half the things she did so that she wouldn't let their parents down. Jett begrudgingly accepted her apology. After all, he still wasn't happy...he had spent ten years of his life in utter misery. Heather, being twenty three, had had more than double the life Jett had, and it had been three times as better. How could he not feel some sense of resentment towards her? She then scooped him up into her arms and took him to her favorite spot. She confided in him, telling him that she would often walk along the train tracks and just think. It was her way of escaping the pressure their parents placed on her. As the two walked along the train tracks, they heard the unmistakeable sound of a train approaching. When they went to get off the tracks, Heather realized her foot had gotten wedged between them. Frantically, she called to Jett, who was now standing a few feet away. He had been too scared to help her. He had just stood there...watching. He saw everything...had felt the spray of her blood as the train collided with her body...had been unable to do anything about it. The only thing that would not leave him was the smell of apples...Heather had been wearing apple-scented perfume.

Jett was now left with the task of telling his parents. As he walked through the door, they immediately noticed his blood-caked face. Rather than ask him if he was alright, however, they merely asked where Heather was. Jett was rendered silent, terrified by the sights he had just seen. In response to his refusal to talk, his father raised his hand to the boy, bringing it down across his face. It had stung, he remembered, and hot tears filled his eyes. He retreated to his room for the next few days while his parents mourned the loss of their darling daughter. His only relief came in the form of Akihiko, who, once again delivered a rather sloppily-made cupcake to his friend's doorstep. It was the only thing in days that had brought a smile to Jett's tear-stained face. The boy consoled him the rest of the week, often bringing him to the apple tree, where they would just sit there, silently, for hours. Upon returning home, however, he was viciously beaten by his father, who had just purchased a whip for use on his son's back. His parents both blamed him for their daughter's death.

This continued each night for five years. Jett would spend the majority of the night at Akihiko's, and when he would return, he would receive a lashing. He was in high school by this point, and found himself ashamed to remove his shirt, fearing the scars he carried on his back would only cause him to be tormented even further. On the days he had gym, he made sure he wore a wife beater underneath his normal clothes to avoid revealing his back. Despite the embarrassment his father's hatred caused him, things were finally starting to look up for Jett. He was doing well in his classes, and he had, in his mind, the greatest friend the world could give him. He still blamed himself for his sister's death, and would cry himself to sleep most nights, but things were still better than they had been. That is, until the reports of a robber surfaced.

The robber situation really didn't worry Aki and Jett too much. After all, they really didn't have much worth taking, save Jett's parents' money. They would have been right, however, to fear. One day, Akihiko failed to show up at school. Jett had hoped Akihiko was sick, and dashed to his house straight from school to take care of him. What he saw shocked him. Police cars surrounded the building, and cops swarmed the area. Jett pushed his way through, though the police refused to let him in the building. Akihiko's mother called Jett over to her, where she took him into her arms and just cried. Jett found out that the robber had broken into Aki's house and threatened his mother. Fifteen year old Aki had stood up to the robber...and ended up getting killed for it. Jett's heart shattered into what felt like a million pieces...and to this day, is not whole. That night, he took his beating without a word, and, upon reaching his room, continued the assault on his body. His wrists have been sliced so many times that he should be dead...the fact that he's failed every time proves that he's destined for something more.

Personality: Sadistic and masochistic, Jett is not the type of person you'd want to be alone with. He has no problem with death, and enjoys seeing others in pain. The kid is most definitely not right in the head. He is prone to going crazy at times, though he certainly gives a fair amount of warning before it is going to happen. That is, if you know what to watch for. Either his left eye or the corner of his mouth will begin to twitch, and his hands will start to shake. He has a laugh that would strike fear into the hearts of many...if you can call it a laugh and not a cackle. However, this side of him is kept locked away. On the outside, he appears to be a normal person, and keeps up the charade quite well. When he is covering up his insanity, Jett is generally quiet and reserved, preferring to stand by himself rather than with others. He can be insulting, and is usually the first to make a jab at someone else. He verbalizes what others are too timid to. He doesn't really pose a threat to the world, as his crazy mind is always locked away, and even if it weren't, he isn't brave enough to actually harm anyone. In fact, he is quite a coward as well, and won't hesitate to run from a fight if it looks like he's going to lose. Though he acts tough, he's really quite weak. Jett is merely scary, not dangerous. He has a strange love for apples, and giving him the fruit is the only surefire way to calm him down. He fears two things: death, and birds.

Other info: He has a horribly creepy laugh. Think John Kassir’s ‘Crypteekper’ laugh.

Pokemon Type: Grass

The sun was beating down on Pacifidlog that day. The hustle and bustle of both tourists and locals alike hung in the air. Waves lapped against the docks, gently misting whoever happened to be standing near the water at the time. At this time of day, the docks were usually unoccupied. This day would have been no different, if not for one boy serenely sprawled out upon the wood, a red apple clutched tightly in his fist. Jett Donnovan brought his hand up to his chest. Rather than taking a bite from the fruit, he released it into the air, catching it as it spiraled down to him. Once again, the apple took an unwanted flight before finding itself safely nestled into Jett’s palm. The boy shut his grey-black eyes, putting passers-by under the impression that he was perhaps sunbathing on the docks. One look at his skin would tell a different story, however. Jett was white as a sheet, the ebony of his hair in sharp contrast with the rest of his body. His clothes looked like those that would be worn to a formal occasion. Black dress pants ran down his legs, fading away as his shoes came into view. It couldn’t be said whether or not he wore socks. His ankles were never visible.

Jett released a heavy sigh as he brought the apple to his lips and took a bite. He had impulsively taken a trip to Pacifidlog, stumbling out of the ship that had carried him across the sea mere hours ago. It was then that he had made a beeline for the dock, and it was there that he stayed. His reasons for the spontaneous travel plans would remain hidden. It wasn’t like he had anyone to tell, anyway. Truthfully, his former best friend had always longed to travel to Pacifidlog, and, after his untimely death, Jett vowed to take the trip for both of them. A single tear rolled down his cheek, though it didn’t stay there for long. He swiftly wiped it away. It wasn’t the first tear he’d shed over Akihiko, not by a long shot. Once more, he tossed the apple upwards, catching it and taking his second bite. The sweet scent of the fruit brought tears to his eyes. Sitting up, he turned towards the water and flung the apple outwards. It sailed a ways away, finally landing with a plop in the middle of the sea, bobbing there for a minute before sinking to the bottom.

“Dammit, Akihiko,” Jett muttered, bringing his knees to his chest and encircling them with his arms. With his left hand, he wiped his face, though the tears wouldn’t stop flowing. “I’m sorry…” he whimpered, burying his face in his knees. He cried silently for a few minutes, chest heaving as his eyes pumped out small droplets of water. When he could cry no more, he stood, wiping his face with his sleeves. With that, he left his former place of rest, making his way up the rows of shops that lined the marketplace. Jett’s eyes retained a light pink hue, a vestige of his brief incident moments ago. Tourists perused the shops’ wares, squabbling over what souvenirs to bring home. The trifling arguments elicited a dramatic eye roll from Jett. There were bigger things to worry about than what to buy little Suzie for her birthday.

A light aroma wafted through the air, redolent of Jett’s seventh birthday. Cupcakes, admittedly more beautiful than Akihiko’s disheveled creation, lined the cases of a bakery. An elderly woman was standing behind the counter, attempting to coerce tourists into buying “the best sweets in Pacifidlog”. Clearly, the food was made with no love, or people would buy them of their own accord. Jett’s terminus was the Pokémon Center a few feet away. Ordinary trainers would have entered and kicked back, perhaps ordered some food while they waited for their Pokémon to recover, but not Jett. His Pokémon had been healed before his trip to Pacifidlog, and he hadn’t participated in a battle since then. Rather than go in and be somewhere he didn’t need to, he took a seat on the edge of the dock, across from the Center. The waves lightly lapped the toe of his shoes. Without thought of anything else, Jett stared out towards the horizon, eyes locked on the point where the water blended into the sky.

oh guys, i guess i forgot to mention, that if your part of Team Crisis, you don't need a specified type. you can have any pokemon.

Name: Max
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Trainer Type: Team Crisis
Appearence:
Cold: Max wears a black shirt, black pants, a black hat, his black spiky/messy hair, a black parka, white boots, white gloves, and his necklace.

Normally: Normally Max wears his black long sleeved shirt, black pants, a black hat, his black spiky/messy hair, green fingerless gloves, brown running shoes, his necklace, and has crystal blue eyes.

History: Max's mom died giving birth to him. His older brother Ken, who was 10 when this happened always blamed Max for it. Max was born into Team Crisis and his father expected him to become one of the greats in the team because his father was second in comand. Max didn't want to do it until he heard about the making of gyms. He hated the idea of gyms being built.

He trained alongside his given partner, Pikachu, for a few years and soon captured a Charmander. He plans on destroying these so called "Gyms" and anyone that gets in his way will be defeated.

Personality: Max is very mischeveous. He pulls pranks on everyone in his squad due to being the youngest and usually gets punished for it. He loves pokemon but hates the idea of creating gyms. He will do anything to stop this outrage. His hobbies are swiming, climbing trees, sketching occasionally, training, spying, taikwondo, and ocasionally making friends.

Other Info: N/A

Pokemon Type: No specific.
Pokemon Starter: Pikachu and Charmander.
RP Sample: it is from another RP:):Max and his pokemon were walking towards Saffron.

"Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaur! This is soooooo boring!" His Ivysaur complained ready for some action.

Max looked down at his Ivysaur who did look bored. He looked over at his shoulder which Pikachu was sitting on. Pikachu had dozed off. He shook his shoulder a little to wake Pikachu up.

"Pika Piiiiiiii! Ahhhhhhh. What was that for?" Pikachu wondered almost falling off of Max's shoulder.

Max chuckled and looked overhead where Pidgeotto was flying making shade for him. Pidgeotto was looking everywhere around them incase she spotted something.

"Pidgeottoooooo! There is a big tree with a bunch of shade around it just upahead... and it has apples in it!" Pidgeotto said.

Max sighed. None of his pokemon looked happy. They all looked bored except for Pidgeotto who looked determined to get the juiciest apple in the tree. He noticed Pidgeotto sped up in flying. Max smiled knowing that Pidgeotto wanted to race him. He got his footing just right and then he dashed towards the tree.

"I'll beat you Pidgeotto!" He yelled running just barely infront of Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeottooo! Not if I can help it!" Pidgeotto cooed flying like there was no tomorrow.

"Saurrrrr???? What the heck Max?" Bulbusaur complained running as fast as he could towards Max.

Max almost reached the tree first but Pidgeotto sped up just in time. He noticed that Pikachu had struggled the whole time just to stay on his should. Max grinned apologizing to Pikachu. Ivysaur had just come up to them panting hard. Ivysaur then caught his breath and used one of his vines to grab a ripe apple. He split in half and shared it with Pikachu. Pidgeotto grabbed a juicy one and then ate it. She grabbed a few more and ate them all.

"Pidgeotto I have some pokefood for each of you guys." Max said digging in his bag for their food.

He had six food bowls incase he had six different types of pokemon with him. He spread three out and then put flying pokefood in one for Pidgeotto, electric type pokefood for Pikachu, and grass type pokefood for Ivysaur in the last one. He pulled out a PB+J sandwhich and pulled out a bag of chips. He ate it and then sat there for a few minutes to let the food settle in his stomach.

He looked up in the sky and saw a cloud formation that looked like his mom's favorite pokemon, a Blastoise. He wished that he could atleast have known his mom. He shed a few tears every time he thought of her. His dad had always told him what she looked like. Blue eyes just like his, the necklace he had was hers before, black hair like his, and the most wonderful smile ever. He thought about it more and wished he could have known her better so much considering he was only a year old when his mom died.

He got up and told Pidgeotto to fly above them again, Ivysaur to walk next to him, and Pikachu to either walk next to him or sit on his shoulder. They all nodded their heads. Pidgeotto flew up in the air and flew above them, Pikachu ran up the side of Max and then onto his shoulder, Ivysaur stood where he was. Max smiled and then he walked along the path.

An hour later and Max had almost reached Saffron City. He looked overhead and noticed a flock of Spearow flying overhead. He flinched and then noticed them flying away. He rubbed the scar on his right arm and shuddered thinking about the day he got that scar. He then arrived to the enterence to Saffron City.

He walked up to a Tower looking thing and thought it looked creepy. He tried opening it anyway but it was locked. He shrugged and saw two Team Rocket members walking up the street towards them. He recognized one man. The man was someone who had battled Brock at the Pewter City Gym right before him. He gulped remembering how good that dude was. He covered his eyes with his hat seeing if the guys wouldn't recognize him then. It worked the Team Rocket members only told him that he needed to stay away from that tower.

He sighed with relief when they turned around a corner. He faced the way that they had come and continued to go that way. He then stopped at a young traveler who looked as though his ankle was hurting him.

"Are you ok?" Max asked.

"Yeah except I twisted my ankle a few minutes ago." The traveler said.

"Were are you going?" Max asked.

"I'm going to the pokemon center." The traveler said.

"Me too. I'll help you get there." Max said.

Max put his arm under the traveler's armpit and helped him walk. They came to the pokemon center.

"Thank you so very much my friend. I never caught your name...What is it?" The traveler asked.

"You're welcome and my name is Max. Your's?" Max asked.

"My name is Jerome. It's very nice to meet you Max." Jerome said.

"Same here Jerome." Max said helping him inside.

They went their separate ways when he went up to his room after he got a key, and Max went to heal his pokemon. Nurse Joy came out with them all and gave him his pokemon. He thanked her and walked outside.

"Everbody...Come on out!" Max said throwing the pokeballs into the air.

"Sauuuuuurrr Woohoo I thought I'd never get out of there!" Ivysaur yelled.

"Pidgeottoooo Man I'm ready to get us another badge!" Pidgeotto said flying around in circles over his head.

"Pi Pikachuuuuuu Ahhhh Team Rocket is coming!!!" Pikachu yelled running up Max's arm.

Max looked behind him and it was the same person from before.

"Hey kid get over here right now!" The grunt yelled.

Max did the exact oposite. He dashed towards the enterance to the next route. The grunt was fast though. The grunt sped up and grabbed Max.

"Let me go!!!!" Max said kicking the grunt.

"No way kid!" The grunt said.

Max got furious. He saw a spot where the grunt's jacket wasn't covering his whole arm and then he bit it as hard as he could.

"Ahhhhh" The grunt yelled dropping Max.

Max dashed out of Saffron City onto the next Route. He looked back and noticed the grunt wasn't chasing him anymore. He sighed with relief knowing that that was a close one. His pokemon were right above him because Pidgeotto had flew them over head when they spotted the grunt.

Pidgeotto landed and Max asked her if she could fly him to Celadon from here on out. Pidgeotto noded and Max called his other pokemon to their pokeballs and then hopped on Pidgeotto's back. The air felt so good on his face that he fell asleep. Only when Pidgeotto coed did he wake up. They had arrived to Celadon City!

ok Dark Type is now taken :]

Attention!: i am only accepting ONE more Team Crisis member! So after Pikalover finishes his SU then only one more TC member will be accepted!

EDIT: Your new sign-up was still lacking, Pikalover. Look at the accepted sign-ups, then compare them to yours. Also, your going to come up with something else in your history. I can't have an unmentioned character be second in command to a group that i will be controlling. So find some other way for him to be born into Team Crisis. Or another way for him to have joined Team Crisis entirely. And all you added into personality was hobbies. Not only does that not fit, that is still under the limit for Personality.

I'll give you one more chance to make it right.

Name: Cailey Owens
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Trainer type: Regular Trainer
Appearance: Cailey is surprisingly tall for a twelve year old, and her frame is still rather thin, waiting for the joys of puberty. Her hair is shoulder length, dead straight and platinum blonde, and frames her pretty face nicely. Her rather large eyes are a bright, dark blue, the colour bordering on electric blue. Her skin is slightly tanned, growing darker in the warmer months obviously, losing its colour slowly over winter.

Cailey does not care much about her appearance, and is often seen with smudges from dirt or dust on her face, she almost always wears yellow, as it is her favourite colour and type of Pokemon. Her outfit usually involves a pair of plain, worn denim jeans, a white t-shirt and a yellow hooded jacket, paired with dirty trainers. She rarely brushes her hair, and miraculously it maintains its silkiness and style. She carries her possessions in a black messenger bag with a white Pokeball on the front. She has a gory looking burn on her right upper arm, just pass her elbow, which she likes to keep covered at all times.

History: Cailey was born in Canalave City of the Sinnon Region to her parents Mary and Jason. Mary and Jason were very young when Cailey was born, not even graduates of high school. Their relationship and Cailey’s birth were frowned upon by the town citizens, so badly that the couple decided to move to Eterna City were it was much more peaceful.
When they moved there Jason struggled to find a job, making the task of raising an infant seemingly impossible. Mary had suffered from mental illnesses and depression since she was a teenager and when the pressure of her relationship and her role as a mother grew to be too difficult, she left town without a note and was never heard from again.

Distraught, Jason did a remarkable job of raising Cailey, supporting her through her primary education. When she was nine she told her father that Shinx was her favourite Pokemon, and asked her father if for her birthday she could have a Shinx plushie. Jason, however, decided to do one better than the toy, and went out to catch Cailey a Shinx.
Cailey was of course delighted and spent every waking moment with her beloved Pokemon.

When Cailey turned ten, Jason remarried. His wife, Anna, was a kind and beautiful woman who Cailey loved very much. Jason decided that he wanted to remove himself from all the memories of Mary by moving his family to the Kanto Region. They settled down happily in Celadon City and Cailey continued to battle her Shinx for fun, the pair becoming stronger and stronger.

One day her father told her about the rumour about Pokemon Gym’s and the need of Gym Leaders, Cailey instantly knew she wanted a gym of her own, specialising in her favourite type, electric Pokemon

Personality: Cailey has a very feisty, determined personality. She is impulsive and makes decisions quickly, whether they are good or bad, and carries them out until the end, regardless of the consequences. In fact, Cailey doesn’t regard consequences often at all, which would make you think this would lead her to all kinds of trouble, but you’d be wrong. Cailey has a knack to sail triumphantly through life, despite her rocky childhood. She rarely fails, and carries this fact arrogantly on her shoulders.

Her personality mimics that of her favourite type of Pokemon, often described as electrifying and dynamic. She is passionate and charismatic, and her words and actions enthral people, making fast admirers. Cailey could sell ice to an Eskimo, and she knows this. But she is not manipulative. She uses her smooth talking ways to help people out, rather than help herself.
Other info: Cailey dislikes fire Pokemon after receiving a traumatic burn from a Chimchar belonging to a classmate in Eterna City.
Pokemon Type: Electric
Starter Pokemon: Shinx

Allison held her breath as she watched the Pokeball continue to twitch and wriggle, until it finally stopped, declaring her the owner of the Rattata.
“Yes!” Allison exclaimed, racing towards her new Pokemon’s Pokeball and seizing it triumphantly. She then stopped, and composed herself, remembering she was not alone in the clearing.
“Umm, good work Charmander,” she addressed her first Pokemon, turning to look at him “Now lets go and find a battle”

Allison found a trainer standing by himself, after winning his second battle of the day. She approached him with her shoulders back and her chin up, making herself look as tall as possible. The trainer was of average height, and at least a head shorter then Allison, he looked to be about fourteen and had light blonde hair, which he wore under a grey beanie.

“You and me, battle now,” Allison demanded, looking down at him from her great height.
The boy looked her up and down appraisingly, a smirk stretched across his tan face.
“Sure, as long as the battle is followed by a date with you and me,” he replied, grinning.
“Ew, no,” Allison wrinkled her freckled nose in disgust “You’re what, like eleven?”
“Fifteen,” the trainer answered with a wink “So how about it babe?”
“How about you just battle me before my fist connects with your face,” she spat, beginning to feel very annoyed.
“Ooh feisty,” he grinned, “A battle it is” the trainer said reaching for a Pokeball in his pocket.
“Go Spinarak,” he called releasing the green, tiny spider Pokemon. Allison reached for her Pokedex, curious about the trainer’s bug Pokemon.

‘Spinarak- the string spit Pokemon. It sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. It waits motionlessly for prey to arrive’

“Huh. A bug Pokemon, guess I’ll use you Charmander,” Allison said, gesturing to the orange Pokemon at her side.
Charmander immediately jumped forward, eager to please his trainer.
“Spinarak, use string shot!” the blonde trainer demanded, rolling the sleeves of his red shirt up his arms.
The spider Pokemon shot a white web out of its mouth, towards Allison’s Charmander
“Quick, Charmander! Dodge it!” Allison instructed, and Charmander leapt out of the attacks way “Good! Now use scratch”
Charmander charged forward and attacked the Spinarak with its formidable claws, weakening its opponent.
“Spinarak, jump away and use your poison sting,” the boy called to his Pokemon.
The green spider Pokemon did as instructed and launched a poison sting from its fangs which connected with Charmander’s face.
“Char-mander char!” the Pokemon cried out in pain, rubbing its face with its clawed hands in pain.
“It’s okay Charmander! Use growl and then scratch the Spinarak one last time!” Allison called, concern for her Pokemon building up in her chest.
The Charmander nodded and growled, intimidating his opponent before leaping onto it scratching the Spinarak fiercely until it fainted.
“Return Spinarak,” the blonde trainer called, still smiling “You win”
Allison smiled a small smile and turned to her Charmander
“Not bad for a lizard,” she praised as it looked up at her adoringly. “I think I’ll call you Izzy from now on,” Allison decided smiling at her Pokemon.

Her opponent approached her, hand forward for Allison to shake.
“Great battle,” he praised “But I expected so from such a pretty girl,” he said with a wink.
Allison rolled her eyes, she was used to getting hit on, even from boys younger than her.
“Thanks,” she said dryly and she turned to walk away when he held out a piece of paper with his name, Billy, and phone number on it.
“Call me,” Billy winked, before turning on his heel and looking for another battle.
Allison shrugged and shoved the paper into her bag, she would never call him and Billy probably knew that. Most of the boys who gave her their numbers did.

Allison made her way back onto the trail of Route 101 and began to amble along it, feeling tired and hungry.

This RP intrests me. May I join as the Normal type gym-leader-to-be?

Also, If you are going to be controlling the pokemon we catch, do we get a say in what we encounter, or is it all decided by you? And 12 seems a bit young for a person to be running a gym... I always imagine leaders in their teens and above. But whatever, ill make it work.

Well, to me electric blue has always been this colour
http://www.strategicplanet.com/poolmaterials/National/ISLAND%20BREEZE%20Electric%20Blue.jpg

But some consider it to be the lighter colour you pointed out. It doesn't really matter, her eyes are just blue, nice and bright but dark in colour

Thanks for reserving a spot for me~

Name: Kit de Lavender
Age: 14 (is it OK if she's in the middle?)
Gender: Girl
Trainer type: Regular
Appearance: Kit generally wears a white t-shirt and green camo pants with white sandals. She occasionally wears a white kitty-eared cap and even more rarely a white kitty tail. She has sapphire blue eyes and long, straight blonde hair. For more formal occasions (if she decides to attend any), she has a long white gown that starts at her chest and goes all the way down to her knees, and she wears formal occasion white slippers. She may also wear sapphire clip-on earrings for the formal occasions.
History: Kit had lived with her parents up until two years ago. At that point, a huge fire in Lavender had wiped out her parents, leaving only her. She buried them in the tower, hoping that their spirits will rest in peace. For the next two years, she was taken care of by Mr. Fuji, who taught her a lot about Pokemon. He gave her a PokeOcarina (which is similar to the PokeFlute). Kit learned plenty of music on her ocarina, some tunes having effects similar to the PokeFlute's main song; others with different effects.

Around the present time, Kit decided to go out and travel around. Mr. Fuji gave her a female Eevee, and told her to evolve it wisely. At first, the Eevee hated Kit and bit her arm various times. But after hearing Kit play the PokeOcarina, the Eevee settled down and started to listen to Kit's soothing music. Seeing how PokeBalls are most likely cramped, Kit decided to keep the Eevee outside the PokeBall, even though any more Pokemon she catches will stay in PokeBalls.
Personality: Kit is overall shy and quiet; she usually comes up with strategies before and during battles. She is good at predicting the opponent's next move, and is usually on-target. However, sometimes in battles, she may become a lot more vicious, turning her personality upside-down. Yet even in battles, she still plays sweet tunes on her ocarina, with the occasional tune that sounds like an attack. Kit reads a lot on Pokemon, their abilities, powers, etc. and is even sometimes told she has unusual abilities (that aren't too out-of-the-ordinary).
Other info: If you won't allow a PokeOcarina, then would it be OK for her to have the PokeFlute?
Pokemon: Ice
Starter Pokemon: Eevee (nicknamed Jeanne; she will become a Glaceon unless you'll let her start as one; Vaporeon if only 1st gen. is to be used)

Jake♫
October 3rd, 2008, 05:18 PM
Name: Jake Richards

Age: 12

Gender: Male

Trainer type: Regular Trainer

Appearance: Jake is around 5'6" tall, weighs about 123 pounds, and rather slender. He has short, dark brown hair, where there is also a little piece that hangs over his right eye. He usually where a black sweatshirt with cargo shorts. He wears white sneakers, which always seem to get dirty too quickly, so he constantly has to wash them. He is about average when it comes to body build, but still he is stronger than he appears. When he is angry, his eyebrows will combine to make a solid straight line across his forehead. When he smiles, he has large dimples that most girls adore. He has a small diamond stub earring in his left ear (I'm trying to get at the left ear is for heterosexual men, and the right ear is for homosexual men. Honestly, I'm not totally sure which way it is though :P). He usually wears a golden cross that his parents gave him when he was born.

History: As a child, Jake actually lived a pretty average life in the world of Pokemon. His parents had total trust for him, he had many friends, and was overall a great guy. That was until he turned to age 10, where he started to hang out with a different group of people. It was basically the typical stereotype group, "The Troublemakers". He started to shirk on his responsibilities, both those at home and in his school. His parents started to lose trust for him, and his close friends from when he was young started to fade away from his list of friends. By age 11, he got into daily trouble, ranging from insubordination, disrespect, compulsive lying, and fights, both verbal and physical.

Around the time he turned 12, his parents lost all faith in him, and put him up into a foster home, to try to teach him to take responsibility for his actions, and try to learn to return to his old light-hearted, gentle-natured ways. Within a matter of months, he had turned his act around. His family took him back in, and life returned to normal. He left his trouble making friends, and returned to his old ones. In the time he was gone, they had all received their first Pokemon. He was jealous, and full of rage, and flushed with anger. He ended up punching one of them in the face. His parents decided they lost hope, and thought the only way to truly teach him responsibility was to live off on his own, along with a few Pokemon. They decided with the advent of the creation of the "gyms", they would try to have him earn one to learn self-respect and responsibility. To match his personality, they found and gave him an Umbreon, a Dark type Pokemon.

Personality: Jake's personality is like his Pokemon, DARK. He doesn't have much control of his temper, a lack of responsibility, and a violence issue. When provoked, he will be full of rage that can be violent to other's health, not to mention his own. He clearly has a lack of respect for authority figures, unless it is himself. Although he usually does have a lack of self-respect, he can respect himself when commanding others. He is actually a natural born leader when put in the right position.

Other info: Although he seems scornful and hateful, he really is a good kid :P

Pokemon Type: Dark

Starter Pokemon: Umbreon (Or Eevee, depending on what you want the starting form of the Pokemon to be, as Eevee is fine too :P)

RP Sample:Mount Moon, Part 2

After wiping the floor with the Team Rocket grunt, Colin was all the more pumped to get to Cerulean City and pounce on its Gym Leader. He took extra large steps, with a nice bounce to his walking. He decided to walk with his Pokemon, so he sent them all out of their Pokeballs. They continued through the cavern, until they came up to a fork in the road: They could traverse down a ladder, or continue forward.

"Well, the road straight ahead looks way easier, while the ladder could take us who knows where! But those rungs looks heavily used, while the road looks like only a few people of taken it. What to do!" Colin thought aloud.

All of the sudden, a few lines from a poem came into Colin's head.

"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages henceL
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

(OoC: Sorry, Robert Frost is awesome :D)

"Well, the road it is!" Colin said with a smile.

The walked through the road, and surprisingly, what looked like a treacherous path was quite calm. Colin was happy he enjoyed poetry. He continued to walk forward, until he saw a few more Team Rocket grunts in front of him. He decided to quickly return his Pokemon, as he knew that they would most likely try to steal them otherwise. In the group, he saw a familiar face. It was one of the grunts he and Brock beat together at the museum.

"Well well well, look who we got here..." Started one of the grunts. "A kid wandering through here alone. He must have some Pokemon!" He finished.

"I'm sitting this one out guys, this kid is tough. He kicked my *CENSOR* back in the museum at Pewter City," Said the familiar grunt.

"Smart move," thought Colin.

"Alright. Here's how this will work kid. It's going to be 3 on 3. Each one of us will take you one on one. We win, we get your Pokemon. You lose, be grateful we will let you out unharmed," Demanded the first grunt, who had a giant maniacal smirk on his face.

"That works with me," Colin said, with a smirk equally as large.

"Fine, you'll start it off Don," Said the first grunt.

"Alright sir! Go Zubat!" The first grunt shouted as his Zubat appeared before him.

"Go Iris!" Shouted Colin, as Iris the Taillow appeared before him.

Colin ordered Iris to charge using Quick Attack, but the grunt had another idea to repel it.

"Leech Life," he ordered.

Iris was stopped in her tracks, with her energy being sucked out by the Zubat.

"Iris, break free and use Wing Attack!"

Iris was able to move, but the Zubat dodged the Wing Attack with ease.

"Once more Iris!" Commanded Colin.

"Dodge it!" The grunt ordered.

The Zubat couldn't move out of the way in time, and Iris' Wing Attack struck the Zubat directly in the back. Zubat was knocked to the ground, but not for long. I got back into the air in a matter of seconds.

"So your Zubat is pretty strong I must say, but no matter, it's still a wimp," Colin teased.

Colin ordered another Quick Attack, while the grunt ordered for another Leech Life. This time, Colin had Iris dodge the attack completely, know that he knew how the attack worked. The attack struck Zubat directly in the face, knocking it out cold.

"Grah! Zubat, return you useless piece of garbage!" The grunt shouted.

'Well, that guy has just a FEW anger issues," Colin thought.

"Alright, you are next Maggie," The so-called "leader" ordered.

"Yes sir, go Geodude!" She cried out.

"Return Iris and go Aether!" Colin said as Aether appeared before him.

"Use Tackle!" She ordered.

Colin then ordered Aether to use Confusion to lift up and through the Geodude away. Geodude hit the wall, then landed on its head.

"Grr, Rock Throw!"

This time, Aether used Confusion on the rocks, stopping them. He then threw them at Geodude, knocking it out cold.

"*CENSOR*ING BRAT!" She screamed.

"Jeez, are ALL of them mouthy?" Colin thought while laughing to himself.

"You incompetent fools! You leave me no choice! Go Sableye!" The "leader" called out, as the familiar Sableye appeared before him.

"Another one of these things eh? Go Vulcan!" Colin said as he threw Vulcan's Pokeball.

Colin waited for Sableye to make the first move, which ended up being a Fury Swipes attack.

"Wait for my order Vulcan," Colin said calmly.

"Tor!" Vulcan said.

Sableye was approaching, and when it was within 5 feet, Colin made his move.

"NOW, EMBER!!!"

The close range Ember attack hit the Sableye head on, knocking it out in one big fiery blast.

"Wow, it seems the "leader" is the weakest one of all!" Colin said in a gloating matter.

"We'll get you next time kid! Team Rocket, we are done here, MOVE OUT!" He ordered.

"Sir yes sir!" The grunts responded in unison.

"Jeez, what goobers!"

Name: Yakuro (Yaki or Yak for short) [yah-koo-ro] Keshaen [kay-sin (the [ha] is silent)]

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Trainer Type: Team Crisis

Appearance: Yaki stands at about 5,7 with a weight of 160+. His light gray hair shimmers in the light and is somewhat short. He has it combed forward but some parts stick out in a stubborn manner. Yaki's clothing consists of a red, medium sleeve-length shirt with a black long-sleeved undershirt. On his red shirt is a black stripe that starts at the collar and runs down the center but then splits into a fork down to the him of the shirt, running into his baggy blue jeans. On the left leg of Yaki's pants is a red stripe that circles around the end of the leg. Yaki wears black shoes with red laces. Complimenting Yaki's clothing are his eyes, which are very unusual. They are a bright vermilion red (Vermilion Red (http://www.gnrhs.org/vermillion_red_rgb.JPG)) and almost seem to glow in bright light. His normal expression is very calm and soft, not something you'd expect from someone trying to take over the world. Yaki has an overall thin, athletic build. He is very flexible and able to move swiftly on his feet. Yaki exhibits the appearance of an innocent teenager.

History: A few people really understand what happened in Yaki's past as to why he wanted to join Team Crisis to help rule the world. It all started in his hometown: Fuchsia City. It was the first Safari Zone in the whole world, and his parents ran the facility. Yaki loved to play with all the Pokemon domesticated for the special zoo in front of the large zone and sometimes let them free through mischievous behavior. As any parent would do, Yaki was punished. One day, Yaki's parents brought in a very rare Kangashkan for the zoo. Yaki was dumbfounded over lust for the Pokemon. It was the most coolest thing he has ever seen and he constantly thought about stealing it and running it away. But he was only 6 then, what did he know about thievery. Yaki continued to live as usual, thinking about how to steal the large Kangashkan, when about a month later, Team Crisis attacked Fuchsia City. They broke into the Safari Zone and used special type of Poke'balls to capture all the Pokemon. Yaki couldn't believe his eyes as he then seen one of the Team Crisis members just jump into the Kangashkan exhibit and captured the Pokemon resting peacefully there. Before the police could arrive all of the Team Crisis members escaped on a large black helicopter with a large "C" painted on the side. Yaki couldn't believe it, they did exactly what he wanted to do, only they actually did it. His mom then wouldn't let him out the house, afraid Team Crisis would attack again, but Yaki didn't care. He was stuck in a trance of admiration for the deadly Team Crisis. When Yaki turned 15 he decided it was time, time for him to leave the gates of Fuchsia and go to Team Crisis. He left a letter for his parents reading: "Dear mom and dad, I have decided to go on a Pokemon journey. I will head to Pallet Town to receive my first Pokemon and a Poke'dex. Hope you give me all your support." It was a complete lie but Yaki couldn't even bring himself to even think about telling them the truth, it would hurt them far too much. Yaki decided to leave late at night and his first stop was the Safari Zone Zoo. He stealthily crept through the dark city and slowly came upon the cages filled with sleeping Pokemon, except for the Zubat cave. They were naturally nocturnal. First, Yaki sneaked into the Dratini tank. He heard his parents talking about capturing an interesting pink Dratini and putting it in the exhibit with the other Dratini. He stood on the wooden edge that went around the whole tank. It was for the zoo keepers to stand so they can feed the Dratini. On the very edge of the tank was a large cave, an added feature to the tank for the shelter for the Dratini. Inside the cave there was land where all the Dratini slept peacefully and some slept right where the land slopes down into the water. Sleeping peacefully on one side of the cave was the pink Dratini. Yaki pulled out a special type of Safari Ball, the kind his parents used to capture any Pokemon for the zoo, that he snatched earlier and threw it at the Pokemon. The ball shook 3 times and a red light shone. Yaki ran to pick up the ball and quickly got out the cave. Then Yaki continued on to the Nidoran exhibit, careful not to wake the sleeping Nidokings and Nidoqueens. He silently pulled out a special Safari Ball and threw it at a random Nidoran. It turned out to be a boy. Suddenly there was the growl of a pack of Growlthies and a bright light shone directly on Yaki. It was the Fuchsia police. Yaki ran and jumped out the exhibit with the growling and barking Growlthie right behind him. Little did they realize was that Nidokings and Nidoqueens were sleep and didn't want to be awakened. Yaki's little problem was dealt with by the Pokemon inhabiting the exhibit and got away easily. For two years he traveled around Kanto, looking for a sign of Team Crisis when one day, in Cerulean city he found them. He actually found their secret base or perhaps one of them. It was right on the outskirts of Cerulean covered by a lot of trees. Yaki went inside and was quickly seized, but he pleaded to join them and after a lot of torturing he was then accepted into the team, but only as a grunt. They decided he could be a nice foot soldier for the team and get valuable items and Pokemon for the group. Yaki was finally doing what he really wanted to do, steal Pokemon. It was just a sensation he had, even though he didn't like the other Team Crisis members that much, he just couldn't control the urge inside of him to steal things that were valuable.

Personality: Yaki is unusually nice. He is very merciful when it comes to destroying a gym or the gym leader. Always happy to help, Yaki always emits himself as a helpful comrade to all. His main personality "flaw", if you may, is his ignorance. It isn't very serious and sometimes can be helpful to him or others. It is almost inevitable for him to disobey orders. Yaki is also known to be cunning. He is able to seduce almost any woman and persuade any man to go by his will. He uses this skill to get what he wants whenever he wants it, or sometimes for gathering information on more gyms. You can call Yaki somewhat conceited. He always thinks he's better than everyone and will always try to challenge them. This is probably where his ignorance comes from. Sometimes Yaki is alone because none of the other Team Crisis members really wants to be around him. Because of this situation, he is always trying to do his best to get attention from the higher ranking members. Pertaining to his Pokemon, Yaki would do anything to protect them; even give his own life. Mainly because those are his only true friends. Society won't accept him because he's part of Team Crisis and most of Team Crisis won't accept him because of his merciful attitude; the only thing that pushes him to stay in the violent team is the dream of ruling the world. It probably doesn't match his personality but it's a long story and most people doesn't understand it but it's why Yaki is the way he is today. (sorry it's a bit choppy at the end, I was trying to rush because I have to go somewhere.)

Other Info: A lot of the other Team Crisis members look down on Yak because of his kind nature but he continues to stay with the organization.

Rp Sample: (It's from another RP. I hope that's okay.) ^^

It was a moist and sunny morning when Car's adventure was about to begin. It started with the packing of a few bags, courtesy of his mom, and catching a bus to Pallet Town. Car closely held on tight to the dark bluish colored egg. It had a smooth feeling and Car constantly rubbed it.

As Car was guided onto the bus by the little Azurill, named Path, his parents called out, "Bye sweetie. Have fun on your little adventure!" Car was going to get to be like all the other kids, go out on an adventure and catch different Pokemon; battle them and become the best trainer in the world. But...that was only everyone's dream. It was difficult for that one scenario of many to come true.

Path led Car to a seat close to the front door of the long blue and red bus. By feeling the seats and other parts of the bus, Car was able to distinguish it's appearance and texture. The seats were a hard leather and felt worn out. It was a sign that many people sat in that same seat. Car felt up and down a solid wall next to him. It was the buses metallic frame. He moved his hand up and felt a cold hard surface. It was the window. The bus had a cool breeze flowing through it, Must have an air condition or one of the windows is down. Car thought inquisitively.

The ride was long and bumpy. Every few seconds Car hopped up from the large lumps and almost dropped the egg but he held on tight to the slippery object. Path constantly cried out at the bumping motion of the bus. "Wow, this bus is horrible. It keeps bouncing up and down." Path said as he sighed. He then jumped up on Car's shoulder to look out the window. The setting flew past the bus, or at least the other way around. The large vehicle moved swiftly.

Soon, after an hour or so, a bell rang and it was a sign that they were at Pallet Town. Many other bells had rung before, each distinguished based by the stop. Path told Car to wait until he gave him the order to go. He tried to wait until everyone was off the bus so it wouldn't be such a large hassle for Car to get off. "Okay, it's all clear. Just follow my voice, kay?" The little blue ball stated, hopping off the leather bus seat. "Okay come this way and turn 90 degrees right. Then just walk straight and stop when I say stop." Car nodded and smiled a bit. He always got a kick at how weird Path's voice sounded. It was very high-pitched and didn't even sound like a human talking. It was obvious that the voice was from a small Pokemon. Car walked forward and suddenly stopped when Path screamed stop. Now turn 90 degrees right again and take small steps, their are some stairs to go down." Path explained. Car already knew how to get down the steps, he had a lot of training when he was at the doctors office.

"Finally!" Car exclaimed, smiling and smelling the calm fragrance in the air. "What does it look like Path?" Car asked, anxious to see the scenery he was present in. Path looked at him with a sad face. He felt a terrible feeling inside whenever he thought about how much Car was missing. He tried to explain without exaggerating the true effects of the area. It was far too beautiful for Path to explain in true details. He said it wasn't much of a place. Just a few trees in random places; opposed to Path's story, there was large oak trees that lined up the center of the streets. The houses were nicely built and had a clean landscaping. There was a large hill that led up to a huge building. It was surrounded by a raw iron fence and inside was where Pokemon grazed at and lived happily. To the south of the urban-like town was a nice view of the ocean. There was also people getting off a ferry at a dock in that direction as well. Car couldn't even come close to imagining the real detail of his surroundings, he could only go by what Path told him.

Car smiled brightly, "Okay, so guide me to Prof. Oak's lab Path!" He said, clutching tightly to the egg that still rested in his arms. He couldn't wait to really start his journey. It was something he always wanted to do as a young boy but couldn't because his parents thought he wasn't capable of going alone on a journey when he can't see anything. But that's where Path came in. Path was one of Car's only companion, one that would never leave him. He was very thankful to have him.

Name: Taro Zenbu
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Trainer type: Regular Trainer
Appearance: Taro has light colored skin, short, blond hair, and cheasnut colored eyes. Dispite his love for food, he is surprisingly thin, and stands at about 4'11. His normal attire consists of a white T-shirt with a red stripe crossing diagonally from the right side of his body, and a pair of blue Jeans. On his head he wears a red beanie with a small pokeball logo embroidered on the front, and around his wrist he wears a black watch-like item, a prototype of the famed Poke'Gear (Without phone functionality, as technology hasn't advanced that far yet)
History: Taro is the son of the aspiring entrepreneur who would one day come to invent the Poke'Gear, which would take the Jhoto region by storm. However, at the moment it still is in developmental phases, and would not be widely produced until several years into the future (The one around Taro's wrist is merely a prototype.)

With Taro's dad needing to travel all over the world to sell his product, the young boy has been to many places, and seen many sights. It seemed his family was never rooted to one place. While traveling around, Taro had the chance to taste the food from places all over the world, and soon enough, a love for the culinary arts. Once he had figured out how to, he became somewhat of an aspiring cook, taking recipes from all over the world, and even coming up with some of his own.

One day, while cooking hamburgers for his family using their outside grill, Taro felt a set of eyes watching him. Looking behind him, it turned out to be a Munchlax. Now, most people would dismiss this as a pokemon looking to get some free food, and shoo the creature away, but Taro knew better. The look in the pokemon's eyes was not one of begging or hunger, it was more... curiosity. Leaving the Munchlax be, he returned to his cooking. Whenever he went outside from then on, he would notice the Munchlax was always there, eager to watch him. At one point, he even left some of the food on their backyard picknick table on perpose, and left for a few minuites. When he came back, all of it was still there. It was as if the Munchlax knew that this was their food, and not his.

The time came for Taro's family to move once again, due to his fathers marketing needs. While cooking their dinner on their last night at the current house, he noticed the Munchlax, whom he had taken to calling Kiga, or 'hunger' once again watching him. Knowing he would be leaving the following morning, Taro offered the pokemon a chance to come along with him, which the pokemon gladly accepted. His parents had no problem with it, as long as he had a pokeball for the pokemon should it get out of hand. However, Kiga never did. Taro tended to keep him outside of his pokeball, and he became some type of a family pet. As usual, Kiga would always observe Taro as he cooked meals, and now that he was part of the family, was able to partake in eating them too.

While wandering around town one day, Taro discovered the sport of "Pokemon Battling" At first he was a bit put off by the notion of pokemon fighting each other for human amusement, but he soon saw the pokemon thought it was all in good fun as well, and slowly began to partake in these "Battles." As it turned out, He and Kiga were quite good, defeating most of their opponents, and coming very close to beating others who had advantages such as fighting-type pokemon on their side. Taro and Kiga had true potential...

Taro is the kind and generous type of person. As stated above, he loves food and cooking it, and if he is ever able to pay someone back somehow, it usually is by making them a meal. He loves seeing people enjoying the food he makes. He is very accepting of other peoples feelings and views, and it is very hard to pick a fight with him. During battle, Taro has a great deal of determination and trust in his pokemon, and dosn't tend to lose his cool in tough situations. Very sportsmanlike, he never complains about losing a battle. In the end, the point is to have fun, not to win (Though winning is a very nice consolation.)
Other info: Taro's Poke'Gear has all the functionality you would see in the G/S/C games (Map, Radio, Watch) except the Phone function.
Pokemon Type: Normal
Starter Pokemon: Munchlax (Kiga)

(From Pokemon Wars: Rise of the Darkhearts on Serebii forums)

They were weakened by Curse, and the Pikachu's Thunder severely weakened the Gyarados. Maverick said to the Pikachu "Use another Thunder attack against the Charizard! It will be weak to it!"

"Sure thing!" Sandi said, nodding to Maverick, and started twords the Charizard, before she was stopped in her tracks by Leo stepping in front of her.

"Don't." He said, and motioned twords her would-be target, who was now embracing Jojo, under the assumption that they were in love. "If you zap him now, the Lopunny gets hurt as well."

"Well what do you suggest that I do then?" She questioned. She was annoyed that this guy always seemed to be telling her what to do. The Typlosion paused for a second, thinking about it, before replying.

"Go back to attacking the Garyados. Ill see what I can do about loverboy."

"Whatever." She said, turning back to the giant water dragon "Makes no difference to me."

She ran twords the Garydos once more, noticing that something seemed different about it now, but for the most part ignoring it. With speed worthy of a pikachu, she ran up the mighty Water-dragon's back, all the way to the top of his head and held on as tightly as possible. Things were about to get bumpy. Her cheeks sparking once more, and the light orb around her neck glowing once again, and lightning rained down from the sky, crashing ontop of the serpent pokemon.

--------------

Meanwhile, Leo was approaching the Charizard who was hugging the Lopunny, thinking up ways that he could possibly get her out of the lizards grasp, when the pokemon in question attempted to attack a Tropius for laughing at its choice of love interest. He got on all fours and began to run twords the pokemon, in hopes of somehow helping them. It felt slightly awkward to run on all fours, but he assumed he would get used to it. It was faster anyway. Before he was able to reach the Charizard he noticed that the Armaldo had attacked it with a stone edge, either knocking it out or possibly killing it. Either way, it began to fall over forwards, which would mean landing ontop of the pokemon it currently was embracing. Now then, Leo didn't know the exact strength of the bodies they now possessed, but he surmised that having a 200 pound pokemon fall on you would have to hurt, and so, without even thinking much about it, he ran under the Charizard as it was falling and grabbed onto Jojo.

"Excuse me miss." He said politely to her, and dug his free paw into the ground, using the move Dig to create a very large hole for both of them to enter, safe from the pokemon falling on them above. However, once they entered, the Charizard's body covered up the entrance, concealing them in darkness.

"Well well... This is troublesome." He said in the darkness, and ignited his fire mane once again, filling the small hole he had made with light once more. "Excuse my slightly unorthodox way of saving you... I thought It up as I went along. If you'll excuse me for a moment, Ill get us back to the surface..."

He dug his claws into the dirt once more, and began moving earth to create a tunnel to the world above once more (this would most likely get the both of them more then a little dirty) and within seconds made his way to the surface. Emerging from the tunnel, he turned and offered a hand to the Lopunny to help her out.

"Need a hand?" He asked.

But whatever, ill make it work.

you can control what you will encounter, but i will decide if you catch it :]

RP Sample: Well, you know all my posts from The Second Coming...

Accepted.

We'll just call it a Poke'raina or something.. xD

Since we'll be in Kanto and that leaves no way for Eevee to become Glaceon, then i'll be generous and let you have a Glaceon as a starter

Ehh, the history seemed a little unbeleiveable, but i'll brush that off for now :]

Accepted.

And you can have Umbreon, since Pikataro got Glaceon.

kekekeke. By "paragraphs" do you mean actual paragraphs like: 4 sentences = 1 paragraph? If so then I'll edit later cuz I might not be able to even finish everything right now.

Starter Pokemon: Canon, Dratini (shiny); male - Kin, Nidoran; male

Accepted.

RP Sample: (From Pokemon: The Hybrid Chronicles)

AAfter Jasper and Mav went their separate ways, Ashley sat at the table for some time, thinking about the seemingly impossible task ahead. Jasper wants to leave Aiden out of the basement thing, but I don't think he will. He told me that he was going whether I was or not. She rubbed her temples in frustration and sighed. Why does everyone have to make things so difficult? "Hey kid! It's curfew time so get outta here," a guy from the kitchen staff yelled at her from the doorway of the kitchen, waving a spoon in his hand. "Oops! Sorry I forgot," she called back, quickly standing up and walking back toward her room. Changing her mind, she detoured to the basement door and stood there, listening and planning a strategy. A gust of air blew from under the door, causing Ashley to retreat from the steam that followed. Hearing a scream, she crept back up to the door and slowly reached out to open the door, her hand trembling. When her hand had almost touched the doornob, she realized what she was doing and jerked her hand back. Hurrying to the dormatory, she chided herself for being so foolish. What was I thinking? I probably wouldn't last two minutes down there without any help. Well, now I know for sure that there are people down there that need help. Taking a quick shower in a stall especially made for fire types that used some strange liquid that didn't extinguish fires, she went to her room, changed her clothes and tumbled into her bed.

The next morning, after dressing, she hurried down to the dining area for breakfast because she overslept a bit. Stopping in her tracks, she heard a huge commotion coming from the cafeteria. What now? Ever time I turn around something happens around here.... Breaking into a run, she gasped when she saw Jasper on the ground bleeding badly and Marcus lying on the ground several feet away with his wings covering his head. Rowan, that bully!! I have to stop this! I just have to! She glared at the tyranitar hybrid as he menacingly walked toward the Pigeot hybrid, not even caring if he didn't fight back. Feeling her Flareon side almost entirely taking over, she used Quick Attack to get close to Rowan and his gang. She snarled at the bully, pinning her ears flat on her head, and raising her body temperature several degrees as she prepared to defend herself. The air around her shimmered like on a hot summer day and flames danced across her dark eyes. Remembering her type disadvantage and noticing how much bigger Rowan was than her almost made her back down, but she knew that she'd never forgive herself if she did. Man... the guys gotta be at least fourteen inches taller than me!Maybe if I give Marcus some breathing room, we can beat them together. It'd be nice if Kite helped but Mister Attitude looks like he has other ideas. Could sure use Mav's water attacks.... "Rowan!" she shouted, a fierce growl in her voice. "Leave them alone!" Glancing at her, Rowan scoffed and laughed, "Stay outta this foxy. Look boys, the little fire fox thinks she's gonna stop us." He, Bruce, and Sarge all laughed at her with bystanders nervously joining in, making her glare at them even more with increasing anger, indignance, and disgust.

Turning his back on her and walking closer to Marcus, she let loose a flame thrower that she knew probably wouldn't hurt him much, but she needed to get his attention away from Marcus. The Flame Thrower hit him with full force, nearly knocking him off his feet. If he'd weighed any less, he probably would've been thrown to the ground. "That's it!" he snarled angily, "I was gonna let you off 'cause you're a girl but nobody attacks Rowan without gettin' a poundin'" He stalked toward Ashley, smiling with sinister pleasure. Ok.... Let's see how smart these jokers are... Double Team! Shining with a white glow, she five clones materilized around her in a semi-circle. She had to stop herself from looking at the clones in surprise because five was a new personal best for her. At first, Bruce and Sarge gaped at the illustions, unable to decide who to attack, but Rowan jerked them into action with, "Come on you idiots! Hit one of them!" With Sarge attacking a clone on the right with Dragon Breath, Bruce charged at the one on the far left with a Dragon Claw but both stopped, confused, when they disappeared. Whew... Bruce almost hit me! Taking advantage of the hesitation, she scored a knockout on Bruce with an Iron Tail to the skull. Using Quick Attack to give herself some more room and to dodge any oncoming attack, she stopped several feet away from where she was, her feet sliding on the floor.

Before she could make another move, huge, strong hands clamped around her from behind, lifting her into the air. I guess one of Rowan’s goons was late for breakfast. She kicked and clawed at the Rhydon hybrid, but he only laughed and squeezed harder, making it almost impossible for her to breathe. Smoke poured from her mouth and nose as she struggled or at least that’s what she thought it was. What a minute… That’s not smoke… It’s smog. How could I have forgotten? She smiled grimly as the purple gas gave her an idea. Not like it can stop all of them but here I go… Taking as deep a breath as she could with the suffocating grip around her, she aimed a Smog attack toward the advancing Rowan and Sarge. Although Rowan simply coughed and backed away, waiting for the air to clear, but Sarge fell to the ground, poisoned. Lucky, I guess… The arms gripped even harder around her middle until she expected to feel her ribs breaking at any moment. Unable to breath anymore, spots swirled around in Ashley’s vision and the room began to spin. Well...it...was…a good… fight while… it… lasted.

Personality:

Name: Victor

Age: 12

Gender: Male

Trainer type: Regular Trainer

Appearance: Victor is about average height for his age, but you definatly can't say he has an average build. To put it bluntly, this kid is ripped. He has a perfect six-pack and huge biceps and triceps. His legs, following suit with the rest of his body, are perfectly toned.

He has very short hair. The kind that you would think he just took a razor to it. His eyes are a simple slate grey tone, which usually show no expression. Down his right arm is a 8 inch long gash, caused from an attack by a Combusken.

Casually, he is always seen wearing a muscle shirt and either worn out denim jeans or a pair of slick basketball shotrts. When the weather is a bit chilly, he wears a jacket featuring his favorite team, The Donphans,[kind of a play on Alabama, Crimson Tide, in college football, which is my favorite team xD] along with matching sweatpants. To those fancy doo's he usually wears a brown stiped balzer with matching pants.

History: Victor was raised into one of the strictest families you would find. His father thought that muscles made the man, so Victor was forced to play any and every competitive sport there was. His mother was very hard on him. His forced daily schedule, made by his mother, was: Get up, Make bed, Get Dressed, Brush Teeth, Report outside for the daily chores. Victor hated this work, but he knew if he disobeyed his punishment would be severe.

Along with his parents being hard on him, he was hard on himself. He would train till he fainted, then train some more. But one day, he took it to far. He found a wild Combusken and started to pester it, thinking it would be a worthwile opponent. The Combusken became enraged and easily overpowered him. It clawed him down his arm, creating the scar he has today. Victor was pinned down by the Combusken; and just when he thought all was lost, a wild Machop saved his life by knocking the Combusken into a nearby river.

Victor thanked the Machop and headed home. But what he didn't know, was that the Machop was following him. He walked inside, still unknowing and heard his mother scream, "What is that atroucious thing?!". His mother always had a hate for pokemon. Victor turned around and noticed the Machop holding onto his leg for dear life. Victor grabbed the Machop and explained the situation and begged to keep it. Reluctantly, his mother agreed.

Victor and Machop trained day after day. The proved to be the toughest fighters around; nobody that has challenged them has beaten them. Victor heard of the "Gym" rumours and decided to take up the chance as a Fighting Gym Leader.

Personality: Victor has a boastfull, confident adittude. The fact that he has never lost anything doesn't help with that very much. And when he beats you he will show his boastfull side by rubbing it in your face for forever and a day. He also has a somewhat mean demeanor. That might be because of his resentment to most people. Other than those not-so-admireable traits, he has some good qualities towards him.

thanks to his parents strictness, he is very kind and mannerfull toward his elders and authority figures. He has a perfect adittude in school; and to most everybody's suprise, has never gotten into a fist-fight.

Pokemon Type: Fighting.

Starter Pokemon: Machop.

The sunlight shone throughout the window and onto Dom's face. His appearace has changed since the Everyblast. He has a slight stubble around his chin and upper lip. The light that was shining in his eye made him stir in his bed. He yanked the covers above his head in a desperate attempt to get back to sleep.

In the three years that passed Dom had ammased a good sum of money from Gym battles and mini-tourneys. He used that money to revamp his house in Lavender Town. It was now a nice, quiet, two-story house on the outskirts of town.

Dom's pokemon were all downstairs. Farfetch'd was eating its breakfast. Machamp, Poliwrath and Ursaring were in the Training Room. Gengar and Marowak were watching TV. And Dragonite and Arcanine were outside, enjoying the fresh air.

After a few moments under the covers, Dom got out of bed and stretched. He headed downstairs and poured himself a bowl of cereal. He patted Farfetch'd on the head and headed into the living room.

Gengar and Marowak were watching their usual Staurday morning cartoons. That is, until Dom changed it to the news. the two yelled at Dom then slumped off outside with Dragonite and Arcanine.

"Heh, there just like kids.." Dom said to himself as he sipped his coffee. He sat back and ate his cereal, until something caught his eye.

It was a reporter on the news, they were mentioning something about a Grand Pokemon Tourney. "This Tourney is available to anyone and everyone that has gained at least 8 Gym Badges from any reigon!" The reporter said.

Dom changed his gaze form the TV to a plaque on his mantle. It was a luxurious clear box, with 8 small broache-like objects resting inside. Those were his 8 Gym badges.

Dom walked over to the plaque and thought to himself for a moment or two. Man, it's been so long since I've won these badges. Well, looks like there finnaly going to good use!

He removed the badges and pinned them into his inner jacket. He headed into the kitchen and got Farfetch'd, then to the Training Room to get Machamp, Ursaring and Poliwrath.

With those 4 he headed outside to get his other 4 pokemon. "Well guys, i can only take 6 of you with me. It was hard for me to choose, but Marowak and Ursaring, you guys have to stay here with my Grandparents. Ok?" Dom said.

The two nodded and headed off into town, towards Dom's Grandparent's house.

"Well guys, lets shove off!"

Prolouge: The Journey to Pallet.
Things you must do:
Make a post in which you arrive in Pallet Town.
Head to Oak's Lab for information on the Gym's.

Here is mine:

It was early morning in the streets of Saffron. The air had a crisp, sweet smell to it. The strees were lit from the glow of lights, and the slowly rising sun. Victor was up and running his usual morning excersize around the city. He and his Machop got up at 6:00 every morning to train.

It was now 8:30. The sun had risen and the city glew with it's beauty. Victor took a quick break from his running and headed into a Poke'mon Center. He got a quick swig of cool refreshing water from the water fountain while his Machop headed over to Nurse Joy.

"Why hey there! How's my favorite little Machop?" Nurse Joy said playfully to the Pokemon. She patted the muscular Pokemon and waited for Victor to come over. He eventually walked over after a few more gulps of water.

"I see you're training hard as always, Victor!" Nurse Joy said with a smile.

"Yup, gotta be training hard if i want that Gym Leader spot!" Victor said, pumping his fist in the air.

"Oh, you mean this?" Nurse Joy said, handing him a flyer.

It read:

Think you've got the skills to become the best of the best?

Well have we got the challenge for you! The best trainers in the region are recruiting for "Gym Leaders"! These Gym leaders will specify in ONE type of pokemon and challenge anyone who take them on!

For more information, see Proffesor Oak by Monday!

Victor eyed the paper and replied to Nurse Joy. "Yup, this is what im working at."

"Well, have you visited Professor Oak yet? Today is Monday after all." She said to Victor.

"Are you serious!? TODAY is Monday?!" Oh geeze, I gotta go! See ya Nurse Joy!" Victor said, running out of the Pokemon Center.

Lucky for him, he had his own method of transportion to get to Pallet Town. His neighbor, Ronald, owned a Pidgeot. He would always lend it to people who needed to travel places.

Victor ran to Ronald's house and retreived the bird Pokemon. He hopped aboard the majestic bird and set sail for Pallet.

The flight there was beautiful. Victor caught an arial veiw of many bustling cities, like Celedon and Viridian. They finally landed in the quiet town caled Pallet. Victor instructed Pidgeot to fly back to Ronald.

"So this is Pallet Town.." Victor said to himself. It was quiet, and pure.

It took Victor a while to find Proffesor Oak's lab, but he made it there and headed inside.

"Umm, Proffesor Oak? I'm hear for information on the Gym's!" He said calmly.

"Oh yes! Sit, sit! You will wait for the others that are coming" The Proffesor instructed.

Victor obeyed and sat down in a comfy chair near the entrance and waited for the other trainers.

An eerie fog shrouded the sad town in darkness. It was always like this when Kit woke up. It started off chilly and windy, and later, it was still very chilly and windy. But the nights were always the worst. Fortunately, living in Lavender Town for ages helps boost stamina, as Kit always thought. Her Glaceon stood beside her, waiting for her to say the word.

The Glaceon was given to Kit by someone foreign who just happened to pass by her. He spoke in another language, and Kit nodded at every sentence, not knowing whatsoever what he was asking. Next thing she knew, she had a Glaceon. The guy spoke again, and Kit learned its name was Jeanne. She then figured he spoke French.

"Jeanne, today's the day. We have to get down to Oak's in Pallet Town so we can try and get recruited as gym leaders!" The Glaceon smiled, and a blue aura suddenly shone around it. Kit had seen this aura before; it was a frosty aura, and usually meant Jeanne was happy, ecstatic, anything of that sort.

The two headed down the stairs where Mr. Fuji was. He greeted them well, and let Kit use a Spearow that was abandoned by what was apparently a horrible trainer. The Spearow seemed glad to lend a hand, er, claw, and lifted Kit up high in the sky.

It took a few hours (it would be hard for the Spearow to fly so quickly with a heavy load), but Kit soon arrived in Pallet Town. She couldn't wait to try out becoming a gym leader. She entered the lab, and noticed what seemed to be a waiting room. She decided to wait there for the time being, and let the Spearow go back to Mr. Fuji.

Josh had had a revelation about himself that day, as he proceeded to flee from a small group of angry buys with shiny horns upon their head. Though he was as confident as anything, he was also a bit scaredy cat. And so was Lux, his Charmander, who followed in his master’s cowardly footsteps. Josh didn’t expect anything more, as Lux was bought at a pet store by some of his classmates when they saw the slump he was in at losing Spearow (RIP). Josh had decided to train the little fellow to be as a real battling Pokémon was.

That was, though, if either of them could overcome their fear and make their way out of the twisty Viridian Forest.

“This isn’t gonna work, buddy,” Josh panted, looking over at the orange lizard. Lux nodded, glancing away from his master’s eyes. The poor thing must be feeling weak and useless, Josh recognised. He sighed and sat down at the base of a large tree. Lux did likewise, making sure to keep his burning tail off the leaf litter.

Minutes passed as Josh tried to figure out what to do, Lux just feeling ashamed of himself. No sudden inspiration blew into his mind, and no great ideas presented themselves. The brunet stood up and stretched. “We have to keep walking,” Josh sighed, resigned. The bipedal lizard too got up, and walked ahead of Josh with new determination. Josh smiled at the Charmander- Looks like he was already rubbing of on the fire-type!

Many minutes and more aimless wandering later, they were no better off than they had been before. Lux still proudly walked ahead, slashing at any bug Pokémon he felt he could take on. Josh merely stared at his feet, willing them to find the exit soon.

“Char!” a high voice called. Josh’s head snapped up. It was Lux! He was curled into a little orange ball, harmlessly batting a yellow bug with a large horn on its head with his tail. Josh gulped. It was one of the species that had ganged up on the two earlier on. The bug stared at Lux quizzically.

“I think we should batt-” Before Josh could finish he was rudely interrupted by a loud yell.

“HEY! Don’t you DARE hurt my Nino!” A boy a few years younger than Josh launched out a tree and landed perfectly between the bug and Lux. Josh could feel the anger radiating off the boy’s gaze. He wore only a dirty singlet and khaki shorts, and a rat-chewed straw hat to keep the sun off his pale face. “Well?” the boy snapped. “Why were you attacking poor little Nino?”

“Well, I didn’t know it was yours,” Josh replied tautly. “It could’ve been one of the faceless millions in this forest!”

“You don’t respect the bugs?!” the boy shrieked, incredulous. “Then you don’t deserve to be in this forest! OUT OUT OUT!” The bug-obsessed boy literally pushed him with one hand and dragged Lux by the tail with the other and both were too stunned to do anything about it. Josh just hoped that the boy was taking him to the Viridian-side exit.

With a final shove and tug, both boy and Pokémon burst into the sunlight. Josh squinted in the brightness. Was it really that dark in the forest? “AND DON’T COME BACK UNTIL YOU’VE LEARNT PROPER RESPECT FOR THE NOBLE WEEDLE AND THE VALIANT CATERPIE!” And with that, Josh heard hurried footsteps depart.

“Well, that’s that,” Josh stated, helping his Pokémon to his feet. Lux stayed curled in his little ball. The brunet sighed. “It’s okay, you did great. If Bugman didn’t come to rescue his civilians, we would’ve burnt that stupid little worm to ashes.” Lux uncurled slightly and gazed at his master with one shiny green eye. “I mean it,” Josh assured. The Charmander fully uncurled, and smiled up at Josh, Josh returning the favour. He broke eye contact suddenly.

“This place seems unfamiliar…” Josh mused, taking in his surroundings. He suddenly grinned. “Looks like we made it!” he cheered, grabbing Lux and whirling him around his head. “Now all that’s left is to get past Viridian City and get to Pallet Town!” Lux suddenly froze in his grip, muscles tightening up. “Don’t worry, there’s a straight road right to Route One so we don’t have to wander again!” And with this, Lux was celebrating again.

What Josh said was true: There was a large road going directly from the exit of Route Two to the entrance of Route One, or whatever way you came from. The people in Viridian were interesting to watch, as they had slightly different manners and clothing to those in Pewter. Only a few carried around Pokémon, and even then the majority were just Pidgey resting on their trainer’s shoulders. It was a nice walk, if uneventful.

“BIKES FOR RENT~!” Josh heard this cry just as he went to traverse across Route One. Hello, bikes. A bike could certainly be useful. He set off to find the yelling person, Lux following his trainer, confused as to why his master was not making his way over to Professor Oak’s lab. A trendy-looking young man was the source of the hollering, as he pressured two young women into taking a tandem bike for a spin.

“’Cuse me, mister, but can I rent a mountain bike?” Josh asked, tapping the man on the back. The man whirled around. He had a plastic grin stuck to his young face, which Josh found rather frightening.

“Certainly!” the man boomed, steering the boy over to a chunky red model. “This is the newest thing I’ve got! My Dad over in Cerulean makes the bikes and sells them, and he’s a FREAKING GENIUS! My little brother designed this here one, and he’s EVEN MORE OF A GENIUS! You should definitely take this one, I can SO see you riding it! All I need is five thousand PokéYen!”

“Five thousand?” Thankfully, his parents were one the richer side of the spectrum and spared Josh ten thousand PokéYen. Grumbling, he dug the notes out of his wallet and handed it over to the man. Geez, one day and already he had spent half his funds…

“Thank you!” the man chimed and left Josh to hassle more passers-by.

Josh turned to Lux. “Looks like you’re gonna have to go into your Pokéball now,” he said, holding up the mentioned sphere. The Charmander sighed, touched his nose to the ball and disappeared in a red flash. Josh mounted the flashy bike and pedalled away.

Despite the cost, Josh figured it was a good buy as the journey to Pallet was over in a flash. The few Pokémon he saw scuttled away from the bike, seemingly frightened, and the terrain had been so much easier to navigate on a bike. So, only twenty minutes later, he was standing at the entrance to Professor Oak’s lab. Resting the bike against the wall, he pushed the door open.

He was in what looked like a lobby, dotted with comfortable chairs. Only a boy his age and a girl somewhat older were there. On an impulse, he sat next to the boy. “Hi,” he grinned, sticking out a hand. “I’m Joshua O’Dwyer. What about you?”

OOC: Just wondering… how long ago is this compared to normal canon?

Name: Ashley Jackson
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Trainer type: Regular Trainer
Appearance: Ashley is relatively thin at a height of 4'5" and a weight of 83 lbs. She has emerald green eyes, black, shoulder-length hair, and nicely tanned skin from spending most of her time outside. For clothes, she wears a dark blue shirt with red flowers on it, blue jean shorts, and a pair of blue sneakers. Also she has a necklace with a Celebi pendant that her mom gave to her.
History: Almost her whole life, Ashley has lived near the ocean. She knows its moods almost as well as she knows herself and her family. Just after her ninth birthday, her parents returned from visiting Fuchsia City, saying that they had a surprise for her. When they had almost reached the city, they found an injured Totodile on the side of the road and rushed it to the Pokecenter. After it was healed, they decided to bring it home and give it to Ashley because nobody seemed to own the pokemon, at least not any more.

Ashley and Surge were always together and became very close. After two years together, they even sometimes knew what each other were thinking without words. A few months after her eleventh birthday, Ashley decided to go on a journey with Surge to find out about this new think called 'pokemon battling' that she'd heard about.
Personality: Adventurous and exuberant, Ashley has a tendency to jump into things without thinking. Although she is very loyal to her friends, she doesn't feel like she can't make a move without them and will often explore places and other things with only her pokemon with her, as long as she knows where her friends are. Because of her warm and friendly nature, she easily makes friends, human or pokemon. She can't stand to see someone hurt or mistreated and will often jump in and help. Also she has a knack for getting into or finding trouble, but she has an equally strong knack for getting right back out of trouble. Although she rarely backs down from a fight, she tries to show restraint if the person who's picking the fight with her is a friend who's lashing out in anger or hurt for some reason. She only likes to have friendly battles with friends.
Other info: Because of her love for the ocean and water pokemon, she has become somewhat of an amateur free-diver (the practice of breath-holding underwater diving. Includes snorkeling, etc.) and can hold her breath for about four and a half minutes. She usually keeps Surge and sometimes one other pokemon out of their pokeballs at once because she likes their company.

After Jasper and Mav went their separate ways, Ashley sat at the table for some time, thinking about the seemingly impossible task ahead.

After what had seemed like an age of walking in an awkward silence, Simon and Jade finally reached Kagari City. Looking around blearily, they rubbed their eyes, tired from the long journey. Jade turned to SImon and smiled.
"This is where we split up, again," she said quietly, "I want to head back to the Mystifying Forest ti try and catch a Budew." Simon grinned, memories of a Budew he had fought for coming to mind.
"Good luck," He said, smiling broadly, "I think you're going to need it!" After exchanging good byes, the two friends parted, Jade turning back to the route they had just travelled, and Simon heading for the local Pokemon centre.
"Nurse Joy?" he called, walking into the centre, "Can you take care of my Pokemon overnight?" The red-headed nurse smiled and took the proferred pokeballs, before offering SImon a room key. He gratefully accepted, and stumbled down the hall and into his room, falling asleep instantly.

Waking up late, Simon collected his Pokemon from Nurse joy, before heading outside and releasing his Cascoon, Pidgey and Pikachu for some training in preparation for their gym battle.
"Okay! Cascoon, lets try out that new harden!" Simon called, and cascoon immediatelycurled itself into a ball. That is, it curled itself into a slightly rounder ball, compared to what it already was.
"Now, Pidgey, try and get past its defenses with tackle!" Pidgey charged at the small cocoon with tremendous speed, but simply glanced off. Simon was impressed, though,
"That was a great tackle, Pidgey!" Simon called to the plump bird, now hovering in midair. "And that was some pretty tough defense, Cascoon!" Then, turning to Pikachu, he said, "Now, try out your growl on me!" Pikachu turned to Simon, and gave him the meanest, scariest growl that could come from a creature as cute as a pikachu. Which was pretty terrifying. Once Simon had stopped shaking enough to talk, he returned his Pokmon, and headed to the gym.

Slowly, he pushed open the creaking door, and wandered in. Suddenly, without warning, huge lights flashed on, illuminating the darkness and revealing a battlefield. Standing at the far end was the gym leader.
"So you think you can beat me?" he called toSimon in a mocking voice, "My name is Natsuko, and I'm about to take you down!" Then, she stopped and smiled. "Okay, I'll drop the tough talk now. But seriously, you don't look all that confident. I bet you havenn't even been a trainer for a day yet." Simon blushed furiously, deciding not to mention that he had in fact been a trainer for three days now. Still grinning arrogantly, she tossed a Pokeball, shouting "Come on roselia, lets get this over with quickly!" A Pokemon resembling a living plant emerged, and Simon immediately reached for his pokedex, before realising that scanning this Roselia would only make him look even more like a newbie. Instead, he reached for his pokeballs and silently released his cascoon. Cascoon was slightly less reserved however, and started pumping its spikes like arms. Simon turned from pink to crimson, then gasped as he looked at cascoon. For Cascoon had started to glow, and Simon knew what that light meant...

It was the night before the big day. Jake was excited to arrive into Kanto, as he had never seen anything outside of Hoenn before. He knew something big was going down, and hopefully it would do him some good. He stepped out onto the ship's deck, and look over the railing. He looked out, and a dim glow from the lights of Kanto were showing. He knew it was his time for arrival. He heard the place he would be awaiting to was Cinnabar Island, a small island based off a volcano. He knew that he would spend the night in a small motel, then take a personal boat into Pallet Town, where he would meet Proffessor Oak, the starter of whatever was about to happen.

When he pulled into port, it was round midnight. The dim streetlights were growing darker, the noise from what seemed like a busy little town seemed to disappear, and the streets seemed barren. He marched over to his motel, checked in, and prepared for what would happen tomorrow. Honestly, he was not informed about anything that he was about to experience, but he hoped for the best and expected the best. He went into his room, lied down on his bed, and fell asleep instantly from the long trip to his destination.

The sun rose quickly over the horizon the next morning, which painted to sky all shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. It appeared the sky was a canvas, and the sun was the artist's palette (OoC: Did you like that imagery? :D). He knew what was to come, and he couldn't be more eager or more frightened. Jake was not a big fan of encountering the unknown, but he knew it had to be done. He got ready for the day normally, wearing his black sweatshirt and his khaki cargo shorts, and walked out into the motel lobby. He was hoping for a continental breakfast, but that came to no avail. He thought, "Yeah, this wasn't the most upscale of places anyways, it WAS free after all."

As he walked to the docks, a small motor boat was in place for him, for the short trip up the ocean to Pallet Town. The driver signaled him over, placed him at the back of the boat, and drove him off. The further Jake traveled, the more nervous he became. The moment he could see the shore, he leaned over the side of the boat, and majestically vomited over the side of the boat.

They pulled up, with Oak's lab in sight, and Jake exited to boat apprehensively. "Here we go..."

Cailey pressed her pale cheek against the window of the small red car that made it’s way effortlessly down the long, winding road. It was mid-morning, around nine, and their destination was Pallet Town, Professor Oak’s lab ultimately.
In the front seat sat Cailey’s father, smiling and dark haired, and his new wife Anna, who was sharing an amusing anecdote about her students in Celadon City at the local primary school.
In Cailey’s small lap was her only Pokemon, a blue and yellow lion Pokemon, also known as Shinx. Shinx was restless, pacing back and forth over the back seat, occasionally stopping to sit in Cailey’s lap or to look out the window, purring ecstatically.

“Thanks for letting us drive you today Cailey,” her father said from the front seat in his nice, deep voice that Cailey had loved for as long as she could remember.
Anna turned and smiled at Cailey, warmly and Cailey smiled back.

“I mean, it was on our way,” Jason continued, turning the car around a sharp corner, “But you’ve always been so independent, even when you were a little tyke. It means a lot that you would agree to this.”

Cailey nodded “It’s okay Dad.” It was true; Cailey was a fiercely independent person, usually only keeping Shinx for company. Ever since she was young she would look after her own problems, meeting each one head on with a grin of determination. Her father had always been thankful of that, when Mary had left him he was so worried about Cailey, but really, he had absolutely no reason to be.

Cailey looked at her reflection in the car window, examining herself. She had inherited her pretty face from her mother, as well as her shocking blonde hair. But her eyes were her fathers, deep, dark blue, with a bright blaze of determination and passion burning within. That was Cailey all over, determined and passionate. Like her father.

Soon the car began to slow and Cailey was able to see wild Pokemon outside. A couple hundred Pidgey’s fed off numerous berry trees; Spearow roosted in a massive tree, looking fierce and intimidating; A couple of Pikachu’s frolicked, their lightning bolt tails were raised.

“Note to self, catch one of those,” Cailey murmured quietly.
Not long after seeing the wild Pokemon, they passed a large, worn sign which told them they were entering Pallet Town. Green sloping hills made up the area, with cosy little houses dotted everywhere. Pallet Town was a peaceful place, it was on the coast, but was not a harbour town. It was quiet and welcoming, Cailey mused as they drove through the empty streets.

“Now why are we seeing this Professor Oak?” her father asked Cailey. He always referred to his and Cailey’s actions as “we”, so she always knew that they were one, an unbeatable pair of father and daughter.

“I told you Daddy,” Cailey whined playfully “It’s an invitation to anyone interested in becoming a gym leader,” she explained.

“I read about that in the paper,” Anna told them “It seems very intriguing, the idea of gyms and a league of trainers, making Pokemon battling itself a competition.”

Cailey nodded vigorously, excitement rising in her stomach “And I’m going to be a gym leader using only electric Pokemon, just like Shinx!” she cried, gesturing to her own Pokemon who exclaimed out of joy.
Her father and Anna chuckled fondly at Cailey, they were used to her plans and goals. There was not one yet that she had not accomplished, and they were both sure that nothing would stand in her way of achieving this particular objective.

“We know you will,” Jason said with a smile, flicking on his indicator and turning up the lane which would take them to Professor Oak’s lab.
Outside the large building Cailey and her family embraced and wished each other a happy, safe journey. Anna and Jason were taking a well-deserved holiday to Cinnabar Island via a cruise ship leaving the Pallet Town docks today.

Cailey and her Shinx waved and watch the red car drive off, knowing she probably wouldn’t see her family again for several months, she turned and walked up the steps and to the front door, where she knocked nosily, waiting…

Taro and Kiga sat at the end of a small dock, jutting out into the water on the coast of pallet town. Both of their feet were hanging over the edge as they gazed out at the sea. Wind blew through Taro's hair, making him reach up to brush it out of his eyes. He deeply inhaled, taking in the salty sea air.

"Too bad we cant bring back any fish for mom and dad, huh?" He said to Kiga. "The trips a bit too long by foot. Probably would go bad by the time we got home... and the sea food from Pallet Town's supposed to be really good..."

"Munch..." Kiga replied, seeming equally dissapointed.

"Tell ya what!" Taro stated, bringing a fist down into an open hand, seeming very happy "How about later we stop by and get some ourselves! I mean, its a pity we can't bring any to them, but it would be an even bigger pity if we didn't try any when we got the chance!"

"Lax! Munchlax!" Kiga egarly replied. Taro smiled at his partner. He couldn't imagine traveling around with any other pokemon. Sure, he intended to catch more along his journey, but he was pretty sure they wouldn't have as strong of a bond as the two of them had.

Taro's Poke'Gear began beeping, and looking at the device on his wrist, he noticed it was about time he should be getting to the lab. Clicking a button, he silenced the alarm, and brought up the town map. From their current position, the lab didn't seem very far away.

"Come on Kiga!" He said to his partner "Lets go become Gym Leaders!"

With that, the two raced off twords the professors lab, Taro in front, and Kiga following closely behind. They were running mostly out of excitement, and not so much because they were late. On the contrary, Taro had set the alarm a bit early, just to make sure they made it in time. Oaks lab coming into view, the two slowed down, now walking up the steps to the door, where a girl with a shinx awaited them.

"Hey." Taro said as a simple form of a welcome. He had assumed the girl had already knocked, so the pair simply waited for the professor to respond.

"Today's the day Surge! Are you ready!?" Ashley looked down at her Totodile as it jumped up and down excitedly. As soon as Ashley'd heard about the news about the creation of Pokemon Gyms, she knew that becoming the Gym Leader was her dream and when she'd told Surge about it, he became just as excited about it as she was.

"Just imagine... I could become the very first water-type Gym Leader!" Ashley took a deep breath of the salty air of Cinnabar Island, imagining what the future held for her. Pallet Town was just a short boat ride away, though the ride from Fruchsia City to the Seafoam Islands and then from there to Cinnabar Island had been long.

Beside her, Surge stood proudly and pointed a clawed finger at himself, saying, "Toto toto totodile." She laughed, understanding exactly what he meant. "That's right Surge. You could be the very first water-type Gym Pokemon!" She paused looking at her watch. "Whoa, we need to get going! The boat leaves in ten minutes!" Taking off at a sprint, they arrived at the docks just a few minutes till nine.

When they both standing on the deck of the ferry, Ashley wiped the sweat from her brow and gasped, "Whew. We made it just in time. It would've been lame to fail to become a Gym Leader just because I missed the boat." Noticing Surge nodding, she teased, "Well, you don't have to agree with me. I thought you were on my side. So much for loyalty!" He grinned a toothy smile and playfully nudged her arm. Matching his smile, she wondered how she could feel so close to him even though they'd only known each other for two years. She had friends that she'd known much longer than that, but there was no doubt that Surge was her best friend. She couldn't imagine a more perfect partner.

"Toto," Surge said, pointing toward something in the water.

Looking to where he was pointing, she exclaimed, "Wow, look at the Horsea! There're so cute!" A whole school of light blue Horsea were swimming together just off the port side. Ashley even thought that she could see the wing-like pectoral fins of a Seadra but couldn't tell for sure. "Wouldn't that be a good addition to our team one day!?" Surge nodded in agreement and grinned again. He knew that althought Ashley loved all kinds of water pokemon, he would always be her favorite.

Sometime later, they arrived at Pallet Town. Stretching with a yawn, Ashley muttered, "I don't know about you pal, but I'm done with boats for a while. Sure, it's fun for a while, but when you travel all the way from Fruchsia by boat, it gets a little tiring. Anyway, let's get to Professor Oak's lab." After trying at first to walk calmly to the lab, excitement got the better of them and soon they were running at full speed.

"Look! There it is!" With the wind turbine on top of the house-like building, there was no mistake. Dashing through the black, metal gate and up the walk, they soon reached the front door. A girl with a Shinx and a boy with a Munchlax were already there, apparently waiting to get in.

Surge walked boldly up to the other pokemon and greeted them with, "Toto totodile dile toto." Just behind him, Ashley said, "Hi. I'm Ashley Jackson and this is Surge. You guys going to be Gym Leaders, too?" She beamed them a smile and waited for their response.

is that everybody? i guess so. ok, time for chapter one!

Chapter One: The Beginning.

What you must do:
1. Get your pokedex and 5 pokeballs from Oak.
2. Make your journey to Viridian city. But each route must take at least one post to pass.

What you can do:
1. Battle a trainer.
2. Team up with a trainer.
3. Capture a pokemon. [will be explained when the first person reaches Route One]

*Professor Oak*

There was a slight, rhythmic rapping at the door. "Ah, that must be the potential Gym Leaders!" Oak said to himself aloud.

He headed from his workroom into the main lobby and jumped a the sight of three of the trainers already sitting in chairs.

"Well, you three are eager aren't you!" Oak said jokingly while opening the door. He greeted the remaining trainers and ushered them inside.

When everyone was inside the building Oak made his announcement.

"Well, I'm sure you all know what you're hear for; so let's just dive straight into the matter at hand. You trainers are here because you display a good amount of power. You have been chosen to become Gym Leaders. Now, I'm not in the mood to rant; so just come up and recieve your Poke'dex and Pokeballs."

Oak held pointed hand to a counter filled with pokeballs and Dex's.

-----
*Victor*

Victor turned to the boy next to him. He grabbed the boys hand and shook it vigorously with a firm grip.

"Nice to meet you Josh. I'm Victor." Victor gave one last tight squeeze on the boys hand before he let go. He then turned his attention to Professor Oak, who had just brought in the other trainers and started his speech.

After listening to the rant; Victor got up and headed towards the table. He picked up his 5 Pokeballs and the Poke'dex. He fumbled around with the encyclopedia like object; trying to figure out how to work it.

He accidentally pointed it at one of the trainers pokemon; and in turn, got a tid-bit of information.

As a protective technique, it can completely freeze its fur to make its hairs stand like needles.

"Woah..." Victor said in awe of the device. "I'm gonna have fun with this thing" He again said, with a slight chuckle.

Kiga blinked as a new pokemon approached him. Turning, he grinned at the Totodile and introduced himself.

"Munchlax! Munch!" He said happily, holding out a paw to shake with the Totodile. Kiga was a very sociable pokemon. He was always egar to make some friends. Taro smirked down on his partner, before turning to the trainer who had walked up.

"The names Taro. This here is my pal KIga." He said, motioning to his Munchlax. "And yah, were here to become Gym Leaders. You too huh?"

Before the girl could respond, the doors opened and they were greeted by a kind looking professor who guided them inside, and instructed them to take some pokeballs and something called a "Pokedex". While Taro was familliar with the functions of the small sphere-shaped objects, this new device was a mystery to him.

"So Prof..." He said, flipping his Pokedex's screen open. What exactly does this thing-"

He was inturrupted when he coincidentally pointed the device at Kiga, whos picture was displayed upon the screen, and the device began to narrate.

"Munchlax." The device said, in a computerized male voice "The Big Eater Pokemon. In the wild, these pokemon are known to wolf down its weight in food daily, at times without chewing. It can hide food under its long fur, but tends to forget the food is there."

"Woah..." Taro said, as the device returned to its normal screen, showing data for one 'captured' pokemon. "So, its like an encyclopedia? That talks? Cool."

"Munch..." Kiga said, crossing his arms, seemingly pouting. It appeared he was offended by what the Dex' had said about him.

"Don't worry buddy." Taro reassured him "It said in the wild they are like that. I know you are more sophisticated then the standard."

"Munch. Munchlax." Kiga replied to Taro's words, knowing Taro didn't see him that way, but still a bit burnt that the machine had said that about his kind. Even if it was a bit true...

"Thank you. Yes, I'd like to try out and become a gym leader," Kit said merrily. She then pointed towards her Glaceon. "This is Jeanne. She's been with me since I was a kid. She's a Glaceon, though I don't think there are any living in this region, nor is there any way to get one. So I'm very lucky to have her." She kindly took the Pokedex, and turned it on. She pointed it at Jeanne (even though someone else already had earlier), and read the description.

"Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokemon, and one of the evolved forms of Eevee. As a protective technique, it can completely freeze its fur to make its hairs stand like needles." Kit stared at her Glaceon in surprise.

"So, you're an Eevee evolution? I've heard of at least five, but... Guess there is another." Jeanne nodded, as if in agreement.

"Well, time to hit the route to Viridian!" Kit exclaimed. Jeanne smiled and nodded. Kit then grabbed the five PokeBalls that came with the Pokedex, and exited with Jeanne.

*Path to Viridian*

Kit glanced around, trying to see if any Pokemon would show up.

"I'm kinda hoping to specialize in Ice Pokemon," Kit said to her Glaceon. "but it doesn't seem like any would show up here... Wonder what we should do..." The Glaceon stared at her with a puzzled look.

"I guess we should at least get one Pokemon. For later." The Glaceon nodded again. "You like to agree with me all the time, don't you?" Kit asked Jeanne. This time, Jeanne shook her head, and Kit laughed.

"Wonder what will happen with the other trainers..." Kit muttered.

('Kay. *most regions don't have many Ice types; they're as scarce as Ghost, Dragon (ESPECIALLY Dragon), Steel (somewhat), and Dark types*

So, what do you mean by "being generous" to me? XD)

When the Munchlax spoke back to him and held out its paw, Surge grinned and shook it happily. Ashley looked proudly down at the two pokemon, glad that her Totodile had already found a new friend. She and Surge were both alike in many ways, but this was most evident in how easily they both made friends and their adventurous and enthusiatic nature.

"The names Taro. This here is my pal Kiga," the Munchlax's owner said, motioning to his pokemon. "And yah, were here to become Gym Leaders. You too huh?" Before she could answer, a kindly looking man with a lab coat opened the door and greeted them. That must be Professor Oak....

After the group had all made their way into the lab, Professor Oak announced, "Well, I'm sure you all know what you're hear for; so let's just dive straight into the matter at hand. You trainers are here because you display a good amount of power. You have been chosen to become Gym Leaders. Now, I'm not in the mood to rant; so just come up and receive your Poke'dex and Pokeballs."

By the time that Ashley received her pokedex and pokeballs, the others were each already trying out their pokedex. Pointing hers at Surge, she fumbled with the unfamiliar device muttering, "Is this how you use it?...... No, that's not right..... I got it now!" Surge's picture appeared on the screen along with a narration:

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/5/54/Spr_4d_158.pngTotodile: The Big Jaw Pokemon
Despite the smallness of its body, Totodile's jaws are very powerful. While the Pokémon may think it is just playfully nipping, its bite has enough power to cause serious injury.

After listening to his pokedex entry, Surge experimentally put his hand in his mouth and bit gently. His eyes widening in surprise and hurt, he jerked his hand out of his mouth and waved it around in the air until it stopped hurting. Blowing on it, he looked up at Ashley in concern, his hand only slightly red. Ashley had to bite down on her tongue to keep from laughing at the comical scene.

When she could speak without giggling, she said, "Don't worry, pal. I don't think you're really dangerous. Just watch what you put in your mouth." Although he seemed to know that she secretly thought that his experiment was hilarious, he nodded and smiled, comforted. Looking around the room, she noticed that the girl with the Glaceon was gone. Wow, I guess she couldn't wait to start!

(I guess you can see that I liked how you did your pokedex entry ArmyGuy. XD)

Victor experimented with the device a little bit more; examining his own pokemon.

It's muscles never cramp no matter how much it trains. It lives in the mountains away from humans.

Machop flexed it's muscles as if boasting at the Dex entry. Victor let out a small chuckle and patted Machop on the head.

"Well buddy, let's start out journey!" Victor said in a satisfied tone.

He headed out side and right on to Route 1. There were many pokemon frollicking around; but one pokemon caught Victor's eye.

A Mankey. It was jabbing the air and doing soumersalts around in the feild.

Victor opened his Pokedex to get more information.

It lives in treetop colonies. If one becomes enraged, the whole colony rampages for no reason.

"A great addition to my team! You ready buddy?" Victor said to his Machop. The pokemon noded in agreement and readied a battle stance.

Kit looked around, hoping to find some strong Pokemon. However, she had no luck whatsoever.

"If only there were some Ice-type Pokemon around..." Kit muttered. Her eyes then glanced over at a trainer hugging a Shellder. Kit walked over to the trainer.

"Is that a Shellder?" she asked excitedly. The trainer nodded.

"I just got it yesterday!" Noticing Jeanne, the trainer added, "What kind of Pokemon is that?"

"It's a Glaceon. It can't be found in this area, so... Do you know of any Ice type Pokemon that can be found?" The trainer looked at her with a puzzled look.

"Well... I think there IS one Ice type. But I'm not sure. It looked like a blue sphere, and it seemed to have icy colors... I'm not sure. Maybe you should try heading for Seafoam Islands. I heard you can find Lapras and Seel there." Kit thanked the trainer, then headed towards a bench. She sat down, and began to ponder what the trainer had said.

"I hope the trainer's right..." Kit muttered. "I'd need to get an Ice type as soon as possible..." She sighed. "But who knows when that'll be..."

(Huh. Just noticed something. I think of all the Ice types, Glaceon is the only one that is JUST Ice, besides Regice, of course.)
