View Full Version : Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Search for the Sky Legend

October 7th, 2008, 6:03 PM
The Story

The sun was heavily shining on the Earth below it. The glare caused some illusions for those who were walking on the streets of stone. They all ignored a black glow that was speeding high above the road, faster than a speeding Dodrio. The folks all assumed it was another simple illusion, but they were incorrect. It was a solid object, with real form. The object was very long, fifty feet at least, and its long body undulated through the sky as it moved at its high speeds. The object searched for an exit from the small town, and sharply turned left, towards a waterfall that was pouring over a cliff. It sped straight through the water, to where it knew there was a cave behind the waterfall. However, its head hit stone, and it shook itself hard, turning around.
It heard something behind it, and whirled around to see a Pokémon there. The Pokémon was tall and bulky, and had a pouch with a small baby in it. "What's going on?" She wondered aloud, apparently directing her question at the black Pokémon that had crashed.
With a start, the dark-colored Pokémon twirled its long, black body and soared out the alley and straight up into the thing it was seeking, that blue, blue sky above it.
The long Flying-type Pokémon was not identified, nor seen since that day. A year ago, it went as swiftly as it came to Pokémon Square. Legend has it that it rested on a tall pillar that towered above the clouds. Many rescue teams have tried and failed to reach it, for there are very tough Pokémon in the pillar of clouds. The Flying-type supposedly rests at the very top of the pillar, and has told itself that it will become a member of the first rescue team to defeat it. Many Pokémon are building rescue teams and training hard to find the Pokémon and gain a very powerful member. Will you join them to try to win the race and recruit the legendary Pokémon?

Your Role

Your role is to join either Rescue Team Truth or Lurking, the two top teams racing to the peak of Sky Tower and trying to fight Rayquaza. Don’t worry if you lose the battle against Rayquaza; you can always start scaling Sky Tower again. The good thing is that you will not lose any of the items you had if you faint! :D

The Rules

1. No godmodding or powerplaying; if you do either of these, I will warn you; if you are caught again, I have to right to kick you out of the RP and kill off your character.

2. Your character does not know the name of the Pokémon atop the Tower, but feel free to give it nicknames.

3. I will play Rayquaza in this RP, and no one else will.

4. Your team will go up with these items in its Toolbox:

4 Oran Berries
2 Heal Seeds
2 Reviver Seeds (not used automatically)
10 Gravelerocks
10 Sticks
2 Big Apples (Each Big Apple can be shared by up to two Pokémon, filling their Bellies by 75 each)
1 Huge Apple (Each Huge Apple can be shared by up to four Pokémon, filling their bellies by 75 each)

5. You may not be a legendary in this RP, and you may have up to two characters, but they must be on opposite teams.

6. Please use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, or I will not accept you into the RP.

7. Battles in this RP will be anime-style; that is, with all moves a Pokémon can learn are available at once, etc. It takes place in the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

Registration Form

Name: Your character’s name, obviously.

Gender: Male or Female

Species: What species of Pokémon your character is.

Team: Truth or Lurking; it doesn’t really matter, but I’ll close one team if it gets too crowded.

Personality: How your character acts. At least four lines, please.

Appearance: Is there anything special about what your character looks like? Images are fine.

History: At least one detailed paragraph about what your character’s life was like before this RP.

Other: Is there anything else you want to say? Also put here if you want to be the leader of your team.

My Form

Name: Sandra Angres

Gender: Female

Species: Lucario

Team: The Leader of Team Truth.

Personality: Sandra is serious, always focusing at the task at hand. She tries to stop any goofing around, and is not tolerant of unruly behavior. She can be rash at times, acting suddenly and not thinking before she does. However, other times she slows down and thinks. She tends to hustle when she’s in an important situation. Sandra always tries her best, and never hesitates to use an especially powerful move if she needs to. Sandra has a short temper, but her attacks are very powerful when she is angry. She usually takes advantage of this. However, her accuracy is lowered when she gets especially angry because she tends to hustle when she’s not in a good mood. Sandra can be bossy occasionally, and knows that her position as leader is important. However, she is usually friendly, and cares for others more than she does herself. Sandra also tends to act Japanese. She’s very sparing when it comes to items, and uses them only if she really needs to. Sandra has a secret fear of failing, and usually requires her teammates to keep her calm in situations where she doesn’t succeed.

Appearance: Her tail is slightly more axe-shaped than usual.

History: Sandra was born right here in Treasure Town, during a warm summer. As a Riolu, she enjoyed whacking her tail against trees. Of course, it didn’t do anything, but she didn’t seem to care much. This strengthened her tail, and she often uses it as a form of attack. When she was two years old, she joined a rescue team called Team Darkness. However, she didn’t know that they had evil plans, and innocently followed. After a while, she found out, but kept her mouth shut and stayed loyal to her team. Somehow, they figured out that she knew, and they began abusing her, refusing to give her healing items when she needed them. One night, she abandoned her team, and lived a harsh life on her own in Magma Cavern. There, Groudon took her in, but Groudon only looked over her as she fought off any intruders.
After a year of this life, she was recruited by a group of Pokémon that called themselves “Rescue Team Truth.” She lived with them from there on, gaining proper nourishment and growing strong again. But mysteriously, at one point, her team members began disappearing, one by one, every week or so. When Sandra was the only one left, she declared herself the leader. The day she did so, she saw the black glow in the sky, and vowed to find out what it was.

Other: None.

Team Truth
(Leader: Sandra Angres - Lucario/pumpkinziggy)
(Second-in-Command: Tuliae - Absol/dragonqueen0210)
Icarus - Bulbasaur/Humantorches

Team Lurking
(Leader: Vincent - Luxray/Blayze)
(Second-in-Command: Shoai "Sparks" - Pikachu/wolfsrain23)
Bailee - Lopunny/Candy Christina
Kaden Hirp - Minun/machomuu (would like to be healer/cook)

October 8th, 2008, 3:41 AM
Name: Tuliae

Gender: Female

Species: Absol

Team: Truth

Personality: Cool, calm and level-headed, Tuliae never does anything too reckless no matter what the circumstances are. She thinks about everything thoroughly and doesn't like to make mistakes. She is loyal to her friends and family and though she is quiet, always participates in any activities. Unfortunately, because of her wanderings, Tuliae has become less social towards others most of the time and keeps her secrets to herself. She prefers quiet surroundings and stays well away from any crowds or large groups. She sometimes acts on instincts instead of thinking in the most difficult situations so to escape from any danger.

Appearance: Tuliae's fur is a golden colour like ninetales instead of whitish-grey, it's claws and the thing on its head is the same colour as it's shiny form and it's eyes are as blue as a houndoom's shiny form. everything else is the same as a normal absol's except the absence of a gray spot on the forehead. I have a sprite in the attachments of it. I hope it isn't too much.

History: Tuliae's mother mysteriously disappeared when she was still young and so she lived and grew up in a small town with her grandmother, as her father suffered from wanderlust and liked to travel a lot. Tuliae herself also loved to wander and travel but the poor state of her grandmother kept her where she was so she could like after her. But because of the fact that she looked different from the other absols, one day, they finally decided to banish her from their clan and she took to wandering alone from town to town. She found a few traveling companians at times but sooner or later they would return to their own homes far away and Tuliae would be alone again. One day, while she was looking at a fairly large town's bulletin board for jobs she could do to earn her keep, she noticed a small sign saying that a group called Rescue Team Truth was looking for members so she decided to sign up.

Other: ......not that I can think of.

I've edited the personality a bit more, is it ok now?

October 8th, 2008, 6:10 AM
Can you add a bit more to Personality? For now, not accepted.

October 9th, 2008, 5:39 AM
Name: Icarus

Gender: Male

Species: Bulbasaur

Team: Truth

Personality: Icarus has a gentle, relaxing personality. Brave and calm when facing danger. Never likes to fight unless it's a dire situation. Very protective of his friends. Open-minded and respectful to others. Cares more about everyone's safety before acting. Perfers to go by the rules than break them. Mindful when things are turning out badly. Likes to keep personal things to himself. Cares alot about his friends.

Appearance: Icarus has skin slightly brighter than a regular Bulbasaur's skin. Shiny orange eyes. His bulb is the same color as his eyes. Wears strap protectors on his legs. Other than these differences, he looks like an everyday Bulbasaur.

History: Icarus never knew his parents. He was found by a group of Pokemon care-takers when he was a baby. They named him Icarus; after the strange high-sky Pokemon that flew past them after finding the Bulbasaur. He was raised with other Pokemon in the care-taker home. He made friends there and was happy for a while. Years later, the home was attacked by powerful Pokemon. Icarus managed to escape, but everyone he knew and loved, were dead. Weeks later, Icarus arrived at a town bursting with activity. He read a flier that said a Rescue team called truth was taking members. The wounds of grief were still wide open, but Icarus knew he had to start moving on. So he signed up.

Other: Nothing else to add!

October 9th, 2008, 3:56 PM
Dragonqueen, accepted. Thank you for adding to Personality.

Humantorches, I think you should add more to Personality, please. I don't mean to boss people around, but I'd like at least four lines.

Nidoking OriginGiratina
October 20th, 2008, 4:11 PM
Name: George

Gender: Male

Species: Octillery

Team: Lurking

Personality: George is kind and hospitable, peaceful really. He's cool, calm and collected like the average Treecko. It's hard to arouse him with panic or fear, and his serenity tends to spread. He's a deep thinker and never jumps to conclusions. Although he's great at decieving others, he only does it in times of need. He tends to look down on younger and smaller Pokemon, but easily hides it. In a tough situation, he thinks through it slowly before moving a tentacle. He's imaginative and friendly, and can turn anything into an adventure with his upbeat personality.

Appearance: The average Octillery.

History: George was always part of Team Lurking, even as a Remoraid, along with his mother Bubble. He enjoyed swimming around in the base, catching small fish that occasionally swam by. He made friends easily, but never bragged about any adventures he happened to go on. George believes that with friends and imagination, anything can be an adventure. This way, he found many adventures with his friends. He still remembers the time when he almost was eaten by a Pidgeotto! Now, he's glad that he can fight things off like that. Eventually, George'd friends brought him to a cave that had never been found before. Since they were scared, they ushered him to go in first, so he did. When an Octillery came out, his friends were so surprised they almost fainted. Talk about startling!

Other: Leader of Team Lurking.

October 20th, 2008, 4:13 PM
Can I have a sign up battle for leader of lurking?

October 20th, 2008, 4:23 PM
NOG: Please add more to History. I would like at least four lines for those two sections each in a wide style such as PokéRangers.

Lostt: Please do not have a battle for leader. You are allowed to be second in command, if you like.

Humantorches: Good. Accepted!

If NOG does not finish his/her sign-up by Thursday, October 23rd, then Lostt, you may be leader.

I've also updated the item list a bit and decided that we need Apples more than Ribbons.

It's done. Yay! :D Will you accept me now?

Wolf in the Rain
October 20th, 2008, 5:34 PM
Name: Shoai (sh-ow) "Sparks"

Gender: Male

Species Pikachu

Apperence: Looks like a normal Pikachu, but with a thin black strip across his muzzle. He also wears a blue Bandana that is the only thing that he has to remind him of his father.

Team: Lurking

History: Shoai grew up away from society in away from the main town. When he was young, his father left to join a rescue team, he was never heard from again, leaving Shoai without much guidance. Shortly after, he was separated from his mother when a squad of Syther attacked them. He hasn't seen either parent since the two events. It seemed to him that during this time, no one seemed to help him. This has caused Shoai to not trust people easily. Nevertheless, Shoai has wanted to join a rescue team, mainly to search for his father and to get revenge at the Syther squad. One year ago, when he was 14, he attempted to join team Truth, but they had turned him down, saying that revenge was not the proper motivation for a rescue squad member. After training for a year, he joined Team Lurking. Recently, to become more powerful, he has been searching for a Thunderstone, but is unsure whether this is a wise choice. Although he is only 15, he can hold his own and battle and is second in command due to himbeing a brilliant tactician.

Personality: Living alone for many years has taught Shoai many lessons. He can be rash in some situations, but if he is calm, he is a vital tactician and is a natural at solving complex problems, a vital skill needed for living on his own and to lead others. However, thoughts of revenge fly through his mind, leading him to focus on it and be driven by it at times. If someone mentions his father or the Syther squad, he will do anything to get that information. He sometimes looks back on choices he made and questions them about whether they were right or wrong. His strong conscious. the past, and empathy for others like him are the only things that will sometimes effect his decisions he makes. He helps others only so they do not have to go through what he did. Deep down he is confused and all he wants and needs is guidance and friends.

Other: people call him "Spark(s)" as a nickname
(wishes to be second in command if possible) due to clever strategies

Can I reserve a Spot and fill out the sign up tomorrow.... cause I'm not even supposed to be online right now ._. My mom is gonna kill me. Crap I gotta go >.<

October 20th, 2008, 5:47 PM
wolfsrain23: Accepted.

ShadowYashi: Reserved.

October 20th, 2008, 5:58 PM
May I have a spot reserved? I've got a charater in mind, I just have to write up his details. I don't know if I'll get them up tonight or not.
I'd like the Second-in-command for Team Truth, but if you need me on Team Lurking that's fine too. ^_^

If this thread is still alive, here's my Bio:

Name: Vincent
Gender: Male
Species: Luxray
Team: Leader of Team Lurking

Vincent takes his role as self-appointed protector very seriously. He will intentionally place himself in harm's way if it will safeguard his "charges"; because of this his body is covered with scars. Vincent is a Pokemon of few words. Don't take his silence as lack of interest though! He observes everything, speaking only when necessary.

His eyes are red, as oppossed to the yellow that is normal for Luxrays. His electric attacks are also colored red.
A few of his most prominant scars are:
Across the bridge of his nose
A large "X" shaped one on his left shoulder
A long, straight one along his entire right side
He is missing one of the points from the "star" on his tail

I was bored and edited a picture that I found in an image search to look like Vincent:

History: Still a work in progress, I'll get it up later.

November 1st, 2008, 8:00 AM
It's still alive. :)

Your signup is good. I'll accept you. Would you like to be the leader of Team Lurking?

November 1st, 2008, 8:09 AM
Sure, that's fine with me. :)

November 1st, 2008, 8:19 AM
So that we'd start faster, I deleted one space from each team. dragonqueen0210, I hope you don't mind that your character is second-in-command of Team Truth now.

Do you guys think we should have one more member of Team Lurking, or start now?

November 1st, 2008, 8:29 AM
Well, we could start and hopefully pick up another member for Lurking in the process?

Candy Christina
November 1st, 2008, 8:43 AM
I would like to be a member of Team Lurking, if that's okay. I'll have my sign up here soon. :)

Edit: Alright, here's my sign up.

Name: Bailee
Gender: Female
Species: Lopunny
Team: Lurking

Personality: Bailee is rather quiet although she always has something intelligent to add to a conversation. She’s never one to spill her emotions out to everyone; she tends to lay low in the background as she doesn’t like to always be the center of attention. Bailee tends to have a rather short-tempered disposition though and is willing to fight whenever the need should arise. As a result of this trait, she is quick to action despite her normal calmness which sometimes gets her and her teammates into trouble.

Appearance: Resembles a regular Lopunny.

History: Bailee is originally from Sinister Woods, having been birthed and raised there for quite a while as a Buneary. Bailee was raised by her father, a strong and very muscular Machoke named Timothy. Although Timothy really wanted a son, he treated Bailee as if she were a boy and taught her a wide range of attacks such as Ice Punch and Low Kick.

Bailee and her father were inseparable until he decided one day that he would leave her with one of his good friends in Treasure Town so that he could go on a journey to find Bailee’s mother, Amelia. Amelia had disappeared a few days after Bailee had hatched from her egg, while she was going out to look for food. After not returning from her search for hours, Timothy grabbed Bailee in his arms and went to look for Amelia with her. Timothy eventually gave up following weeks of searching, and decided that he must raise Bailee himself. It has been a few years since Timothy last left Treasure Town, leaving Bailee to believe that he has also gotten lost, never to return. She vowed that when she was older and gained more experience, she would also go on a journey to find her mother and father.

Other: Bailee has a disturbing obsession with food and has been known to eat a whole buffet herself, although she is still quite lean and thin because of her tendency to exercise extensively.

November 1st, 2008, 8:53 AM
I would like to be a member of Team Lurking as well reserve me

November 1st, 2008, 2:03 PM
Name: Kaden Hiro

Gender: Male

Species: Minun

Team: Lurking

Personality: Kaden is a cheery fellow. He's headstrong and always jumps into things before thinking. He's brave and loves oran berries. All his life, he'd wanted to join a rescue team. He loves excercising. he also loves flying on his flying type friends, however, he's young, so he cries at times when he doesn't get his way. He is eight years old but is very smart. He loves to cook, and thinks he'll do well as a healer. He loves swimming and roaming the world. He also loves being around other electric type pokemon, which helps him charge up for stronger attacks.

History: He was born in the amp plains. He was raised by a Pikachu, and was always making new recipies. Solu, the pikachu that raised Kaden, always made him excercise. Solu was also a cook, so Kaden was a big help around the place. Kaden fond out that his parents were alive somewhere in the world at the age of five, and were looking for him. At age six, Plusle got a foster pichu brother, his name was Syrus. Kaden swore his life to protecting little Syrus untill he could protect himself. The real reason he joined team Lurker was to find his family. When Kaden turned eight, he joined the Lurker rescue team.

Other: He want's to be the team cook\healer.

alot of people signing up, I suppose we'll start sooner or later, right? Oh, and pumpkinziggy, no I don't mind that I'm second-in-command.

Wolf in the Rain
November 1st, 2008, 5:49 PM
Ziggy, does this mean that your going to re-open 3 slots or are you just going to pick 1?

November 2nd, 2008, 8:19 AM
LOL, it looks as though we have enough players now, Ziggy. ^_^

November 2nd, 2008, 4:09 PM
I'm probably going to pick one.

....Candy Christina's sign-up is the best, out of these, so she'll be the final member of Team Lurking. We can start now.

The sun almost burned Sandra's eyes out when she opened them. Had she been sleeping standing up again?

...Apparently so. But she didn't blame herself for it, and instead, swung her axe-like tail through the air. She had to wait for the others to wake up before they left for Sky Tower.

The Lucario checked the bag. There were a lot of items, and she made sure each one was there.

November 2nd, 2008, 4:41 PM
Tuliae sniffed, the morning air was itchy to her nose. Sandra had already been up and about, by the look of things but then again there was her terrible habit of sleeping standing up. Tuliae stood up and shook out any dust that had accumilated in her golden coat. She accidentally scraped her tail against the wall, she stared at it, had she been making all those marks by herself? She groaned, "at least I don't own this place" she mumbled.

Tuliae walked out in the bright sunlight and past Sandra, who was checking the items they had prepared. "morning, Sandra" she greeted the lucario pleasantly.

November 2nd, 2008, 5:45 PM
Vincent the Luxray awoke with a start. His blue and black fur was drenched with sweat, and his heart was beating so quickly that one could almost dance to the beat.
He curled his lip and quickly took stock of his location. He was alone in his quarters. The bright morning sun-light was streaming in through the room's single window.
He had had the dream. Again.
With a sigh, Vincent stood, stretched low and yawned wide. In doing so he resembled a large cat that had just woken from a nap.
With a flick of his tail and a shake of his maned head the Luxray banished all thoughts of his dream.
'What's done is done, I can't bring her back no matter how much I dwell on it.', he scolded himself.
With a final sigh he walked over to the small table that was in the middle of the room.
Last night, before retiring, Vincent had taken the time to pack his Team's Toolbox with the items that they would need for their mission today.
Taking the leather strap of the Toolbox in his teeth, Vincent stood up on his hind-legs, and worked it over his head to rest comfortablely over his right shoulder. This acomplished, he dropped back down to all-fours.
'Well, the others should he waking soon.', he thought. 'I'd best get going.'

After looking his quarters over to make certain that everything was secured, Vincent made his way to the clearing designated for the pre-mission briefings.
Upon his arrival, he saw that two members of Team Truth were already there.
"Good morning, Ladies.", he said in his normal, quiet voice. He nodded to both of them regardingly.
Without another word, the scarred Luxray prowled the short distance to Team Lurking's meeting place, and sat on his haunches to wait for his team mates.

OOC: :"The dream" thingie is something that I'll explain in his History. I'm still working on something postable in that reguard. Once up, that'll make a little more sence.

“HAH! HAH! HYYYYAH!” Bailee shouted as she vigorously punched and kicked one of the tall trees that stood before her.

She was exercising in the Sinister Woods once again. This had become a regular routine for her nowadays. Bailee’s extensive workouts were ingrained in her ever since her youth. Her father Timothy taught her everything he knew in which she integrated every single move and style into her practice. She seemed to have lost track of the time, as she just now realized she was late for a meeting with her teammates.

“Damn…what a workout.” Bailee said as she looked up at the brightly shining sun up above her.

It was a rather warm day today, but the morning breeze chilled her sweat-filled face.

“I’d better get over there soon…Vincent will probably be angered with me…again.” She said as she started to stroll over towards their meeting quarters to discuss the mission they would soon partake in.

“Hmm… I wonder if there are any ponds nearby…I need to wash up a bit.” Bailee said to herself while she scanned the exterior of the forest.

“Ugh…I might as well just do it when I get there. I’m already late enough as it is. I hope I don’t miss anything important!” She uttered to herself.

The limber Lopunny quickly dashed towards the meeting quarters, punching and kicking any trees in her path while on the way there. The breeze refreshed her as her feet leapt; left, right, left, right, in a swift motion. She had almost made her way to her destination but tripped over a tiny rock and fell over.

“…I’m okay…” Bailee mumbled after a few moments of laying there in silence.

“I’m glad no one saw that…” She said as she struggled to get up and walk inside the home.

“Okay. I’m here.”

OCC: BTW, Blayze youre part of Team Lurking

IC: Shoai awoke to the sun beaming into his window. Rolling over to one side, he looked out the window. The sun just above the trees.. He had overslept as usual.

"Damn..." he moaned "I need a day off...training everyday, plus we got that mission at the Sky Pillar..."

He let out at a sigh as he got up. Checking his reflection in a small barrel of water, he noted that his fur on his head was a mess, as usual when he got up. Suddenly, he heard a loud noise from Vincent's quarter's, the room above his. Guessing that their leader was already up, Shoai grabbed his one pocket bag and, putting it around his back, Shoai rushed to the squad's main room, forgetting completely about his fur.

"Man...Baliee better be there, cause if both of us are late again, Vince is gunna make us run..."

He had just made it to the meeting place when Vincent turned the corner. Looking over, he noticed that Baliee had just arrived as well.

<That was good timing> he thought to himself.

Quickly Shoai leaned against a wall in the corner of the room and crossed his arms, acting like he had been waiting for hours.

Vince calmly walked to the front of the room, like a lion circling it's prey, before sitting down to explain today's mission.

"Shall we get started Sir?" Asked Shoai

Sandra nodded at Tuliae. "We just need to wait for Icarus, then we can leave. Thank you for being early. I appreciate it. Are there any suggestions you have on items?" Instead of looking to her side, Sandra turned around and faced the Absol directly.

“Yeah…so what are we planning to do, Vincent? We can’t be idle. I’m pretty sure the other rescue teams will be on their way to Sky Pillar soon as well. Team Lurking has a reputation at stake here. If we sit here and do nothing, we will never claim Rayquaza as part of our own organization.” Bailee passionately said.

Bailee stood with her right hand on her hip as she proclaimed this. She was usually very quiet, never speaking out of turn and letting others have their say before she did. She was devoted to the rescue team though and only wanted what was best for them. She wanted the team to shine and become better than the rest.

“It’s still morning so there shouldn’t be many teams on their way to the pillar right now. But they should be going soon. We have a few hours before a lot of them start to head out. If we leave a bit before they do, we should have a good chance right?” She stated, while looking out the window.

The sun was still shining, yet some clouds started to roll in front of the bright sunlight. It was possible that rain could be coming anytime soon. The day would be gray later on. Bailee could sense it.

“Hmm…we should leave before the possible storm hits too. It’s still sunny but you never know. The clouds do look eerie. We could be in for a storm later on. But who cares about that. We have to have Rayquaza join us.” She said, looking back to Shoai and Vincent.

“Sorry if I was speaking too much sir…I just have a great passion for the rescue team and I want us to be the best out there. I’m pretty sure our rival Team Truth will be on their way to the Sky Pillar too.”

Bailee thought of Team Truth and how tough the team was. Bailee had met and spoke to them on occasion but Bailee also saw them as rivals to their team. She knew that it would be hard to come up against a team with such strategic ways of doing things.

"Sir," said Shoai, pausing for a minute, " We could hurry to the dungeon right away, but we also need to think strategy. We charge in there without thinking this though, were going to get knocked out of the dungeon. If other teams head off before us into the dungeon, it is likely that they will clear some of the way for us, and also tiring themselves out. Eventually, they will have to stop for a break, then we can overtake them. This will allow us to save a lot of energy for the deeper parts of the dungeon and the final battle."

Shoai looked over at some of the other teams meeting and preparing for the upcoming challenge.

"Chances are, also, that some of those weaker teams will also be knocked out early, clearing the way and knocking out most of the competition for today. However, these teams may pick up items in the cavern which we could use."

Shoai stopped speaking for a moment, ears twitching. He was deep in thought, thinking about any other angles they could approach or other things for today.

"Plus, we also got to wait for those new recruits. Anyways Vincent, it's your call what we do."

OOC: Sorry if this post seems a little wonky; my brain's kinda fried from work. :cross-eye

From his place at the head of the Briefing Room, Vincent listened to his team mates in silence. His only movement was the occasional flick of his tail.
After they had both finished speaking, the Luxray looked first to Bailee.
He smiled ever so slightly at her speech.
"You're right, we can't afford to be idle.", he said with a nod.
He then turned to Shoai. "However, we do need a strategy. I'd rather not go rushing into this blindly."
Vincent then lowered his gaze as he thought over the possible ways to complete their mission.
After a moment he looked to his team mates again.
"It would be wise to conserve as much of our strength as possible, for our task is no small one. However, I don't think it necessary for the other teams to "clear the way". Team Lurking is strong. Am I right?", he declared, a hint of pride in his quiet voice.
"Our best course of action, I think, would be to leave as soon as we are able. And in the interest of strength conservation, we should not get ourselves involved with an obstical unless needed."
Vincent then stood and padded over to the low table at the center of the Briefing Room. Laid out on its wooden surface was a map of the area.
"While we wait for our new recruit, I suggest that you both look over this map and memorize what you can of it. Also if you haven't already done so, gather what supplies you will need for the mission."
That said he walked back over to his orginal place and laid down to wait for their final member.

Tuliae laid down on the cushiony ground and folded her paws crosswise. "hmm..." she stared into the pack of items Sandra had prepared the night before, nosing through them.

"There's not much that we haven't got but what do you suggest about wearing a few ribbons?" she asked, absentmindly checking around her to see if Icarus had arrived. the bulbasaur was no where in sight at all and she wondered if Icarus had forgotten about the meeting to discuss when to head up to the sky tower.

Tuliae looked back up at Sandra, "do we even have a plan to use when traveling through the dungeon?"

Shoai unfolded his arms and walked over to the table, grabbing the map off of it. He the proceeded to walk over to the other side of the room and leaned against the side wall. When he was comfortable, he opened the map like a newspaper, shielding his face and about 3/4th of his body from the other members. Only his feet and tail were showing from behind the map.

"Baliee, he said, still hiding his face behind the map, "I'll memorize this, you'll be in charge of extra supplies." Shoai then reached into the small one pocket backpack he carried on his back.

"Here," he told Baliee, throwing a bag of coins her way " Buy what you think we'll need. Vincent, Sir, you can go too if you want. I'll wait for the new recruit." With that, Shoai went back to studying the map.

“Hmm…alright. I’ll be back soon. If I’m not back in around thirty minutes, come find me.” Bailee replied and headed out the door.

She looked up above her and took notice of the accumulation of clouds that started to cover the once brightly shining sun. She figured she was right. It would be storming soon so she should be quick to get what they needed and head back. The storm wouldn’t keep them from completing the mission though. Rayquaza was a highly regarded Pokemon that any team would do anything to recruit. She had faith that her team would be the ones to have the legendary sky Pokemon join them.

“Huh…I’m going the right way, right?” She whispered to herself as she came to a stop. She looked at her surroundings and could see that they were familiar to her. Though for some reason, she felt as if something weren’t right about it. Bailee sighed and figured she was just being ridiculous.

“There’s something different about this area but I can’t put my finger on it. Blah. Maybe I’m just imaging things as always.” Bailee said bluntly.

She continued her walk to Pokemon Square. The walk was never too long so she figured she could complete the task in a short amount of time and get back so they could make sure they had everything for the mission. She would have to get the most important things that would benefit them the most.

“Hm. Shouldn’t be long now. In fact…I think I’m here already.” Bailee proclaimed. She took a look at the bustling village full of small Pokemon, big Pokemon, fat ones and thin ones.

“I wonder where those Kecleon guys are…they usually have the stuff we need.” She thought to herself.

She scoped the town square and finally noticed that she was standing right next to the shop. The Kecleon brothers had an inviting smile on their face as they welcomed Bailee to their store filled with various items.

“Hello!” cried the normal colored Kecleon.

“Welcome customer!” The purple Kecleon exclaimed in his usual cheerful tone of voice.

“Hi…um, I haven’t been here in quite a while. What do you two have here? I can see quite a few things that might be useful to us…” Bailee informed them as she looked around at the items.

“Hey! You’re from that one rescue team eh…what was it…Team Snooping? Team Sneaking?” The green Kecleon asked questioningly.

“No, brother. It was Team Prowling. Or maybe it was Team Creeping…” The purple Kecleon responded, trying to correct his brother.

“No. It’s Team Lurking. But back to my question…what do you two ha-” Bailee started to say.

“I know what it is! It’s Team Hiding!” The green Kecleon exclaimed, interrupting the tall Lopunny.

“You know what…I think we’ll be fine with what we have.” Bailee answered with a big, annoyed sounding sigh.

“Alright! Thanks for stopping by!” The purple Kecleon called out to Bailee as she walked away.

"If you think we should wear ribbons, we can wear ribbons. Do you have any particular suggestions?" Sandra asked, turning around to head towards the item storage place, where she kept three of each kind of ribbon, just in case. Who knew, maybe they would need them....

As she listened to Tuliae's next question, she replied, "Not really. But, you see, dungeons can be spontaneous, and you never know what's going to happen; thus, you can never really create any good plans from something that could be anything." She twitched her tail impatiently, looking around once more for Icarus. If he doesn't come soon, we'll just have to leave without him.

Shoai opened the door and left the bending room with the map rolled up in his hand. He turned the corner and leaned against the side of the building, facing the road. From here he could see the path to town, making sure he would see the recruit well before he got to the briefing room. Shoai then unrolled the map and returned to studying it, looking up periodically for the recruit. The map showed that there were two doors to get into the pillar. However, there were parts of the map that were incomplete. Shoai assumed that those parts of the dungeon were not mapped. He would have to ask Vincent later whether they should explore those areas or avoid them.

He looked up again, this time seeing Ballie return from the market, holding the coin bag in her hand. However, it didn't look like she was carrying anything and the coin bag looked the same. But, she was too far away to tell. When she got closer, Shoai confirmed his suspicions.

"Hey Baliee" he smirked " Did you get lost or something?"

"hmm...well, I had in mind that a few pecha scarfs would be a good idea," Tuliae watched Sandra stride back into the item storage room to check out a few boxes.

She grunted, where was that bulbasaur? She could see even Sandra was getting slightly impatient. Maybe we should just leave and go alone? She rubbed her head with her claw, no, no, we had better wait, one less for the team may cost a lot, she consoled herself.

The sun was starting to rise higher into the sky as midday approached...

November 6th, 2008, 8:06 PM
"Since I'm immune to poison anyway," Sandra began, "I was thinking of a Defense Scarf. A lot of the Pokémon in Sky Tower are ... specialized at physical attacks, ironically."

She found a Pecha Scarf, and handed the sweet-smelling band to Tuliae. Then, she grabbed a green scarf for herself and put it around her neck. It had no smell, but she immediately felt tougher, physically. Sandra knew that the Defense Scarf was a good idea.

The Lucario dug out a Special Band to save for Icarus, knowing that when he awoke, he would likely need it. Icarus was already a formidable foe, but the Special Band would make him even better at battle. Sandra loved strategy, and almost knew that it was more important than strength. But the best quality of all was teamwork, which meant that they couldn't leave without Icarus.

“No Shoai. I didn’t get lost.” Bailee responded with a sigh. She saw Shoai’s taunting grin yet something about it made it seem seductive. Bailee began to blush when she saw it. Did she have some kind of crush on him?

“I did make it to Pokemon Square but…those annoying Kecleon brothers. They wouldn’t shut up! I kept asking them about the items but they just kept ignoring me and were trying to figure out what our rescue team name was.” She continued, still with her somewhat blushing red face peeking out from her cheeks.

“I guess Vincent should have gone. He’s more forceful than I am.” Bailee muttered as she walked back into the rescue team’s home.

Bailee set the coin bag on a table as she walked inside, and held her head as if she had some kind of headache. This wasn’t the case though. She was merely just a bit tired from the walk. After a few moments, she got back up and decided to take a look at the map.

“Hmm. Huh? Why isn’t the map finished?” Bailee asked confusedly, as she noticed Shoai coming in the door.

“Where’s Vincent? We should inform him of this too.” She said.

Tuliae nodded at Sandra's choice, a defense scarf would be a good choice as her defense and sp.def should be average so a good boost would do great.

She tied the pecha scarf neatly around her neck and proceeded to look through the items once again, sorting them out tidily in her mind.

She sighed, turning to look out into the distance, the tall silhouette of the sky tower loomed against the background. Her body and joints ached to climb that dungeon and challenge the ferocious pokemon at the top yet her mind said that strategy was what the once legendary rescue team had once used and what she should pay attention to.

Tuliae faced Sandra directly, "what do you say about making a list of the enemies we will be facing in the dungeon?" she suggested tentatively.

As Shoai opened the door and walked in, he saw Baliee looking over the map with a quizzical look on her face.

“Hmm. Huh? Why isn’t the map finished?” She asked confusedly.

"I don't really know, my guess is that those areas have yet to be explored." Shoai replied as he shuffled pass the window, peering out as he walked by. "We'll ask Vincent about it later. He'll know more about this then I do."

Shoai walked over to the other side of the room and leaned against the wall in his usual spot. His ears twitched impatiently as they waited for Vincent and the rookie.

"Hmm...Baliee... any sign of the rook or Vincent yet?"
