FireRed and LeafGreen Monotype Challenge!

Hello good members of PC! I am Crkr Jak and ill be moderating, as well as doing, this mono type challenge. The prize for the winner will get a You Tube Video Dedicated to them, and possibly a sig or something of that nature. Now Ive taken a few types out of the running: Dragon, Ghost, Dark, and Steel. Now after you get the National Dex, you can create a team of these types for a smaller prize, such as a Badge of some sort made for you sig.

Rules

You may use your starter!

You must acquire Your poke with the required type. so if ur doing ground, a Nidoran, Nidorino and Nidorina are out of the question. The only exception is Eevee and any pokemon u can evolve without battling.

you may trade only ONE of the type to your game until you get a National Dex, then u may trade all you want.

You can have HM slaves, but they cannot help u in any battles. make sure they're in your PC before u attempt any E4, or Gym.

You must post about your journey after every rival, Gym, E4, and Rocket defeat(Like the end of mt moon, not every goon)

Your Challenge is complete when you Have all eight badges, the National Dex and defeat the E4 the second time after helping Lorlei with the Rocket goons on one of the Sevii islands.

trying to find a sandshrew on route 4, but he proves evasive...

Started up, Made my character, and chose Squirtle (My Favorite, but redundant as my type's water :P). Beat Gary in the lab, the beat him on Route 22. Went through Viridian Forest, beat Brock's Gym (With my Level 16 Wartortle). Got the running shoes, got up to the Pokemon Center outside Mt Moon, and bought the Magikarp. Went through Mt Moon (Constantly switching Pokemon for EXp), and came out with a level 14 Magikarp and 24 Wartortle. Beat Gary and Nugget Bridge, and killed all the trainers through the bridge and up to Bill. Got the SS Ticket, then went down to Misty. Easily defeated by Wartortle (THANK YOU BITE!!), and ended up getting Magikarp to level 19 with 32 EXP until next level up (Lol). Got Dig TM, beat the SS Anne with my new Gyarados and Wartortle. Killed Gary again, got HM Cut. Caught an Oddish for a Cut and Flash slave. Surge was easier than expected, although Raichu was a little tougher. Got the Thunderbadge. Caught 5 more Pokemon (Including Pidgey for Fly) for Pokedex reasons, deposited them. then when through Digglet Cave for Flash. Got the Bike, then plowed through Rock Tunnel with ease. Ended up in Celadon City, and got Eevee, evolving it into Vaporeon.

Defeated the Fushia City Gym with some help from Beedrill's Twineedle. Then travelled all the way along to Lavender Town and then back to Saffron to take on Team Rocket within Silph Company. Easily defeated Giovanni, and then headed to Saffron City Gym to defeat Sabrina's Psychic Pokemon with Butterfree's Silver Wind and Beedrill's Twineedle. From there I headed over to Cinnabar to easily put out Blaine's Fire Power with Charizard's Rock Slide. Now travelling around the Islands.

Passed through the Final events before the Elite Four, and managed to just pass through Lance thanks to Butterfree's Psychic that was lucky to confuse almost 100% percent of the time and Charizard's Dragon Claw. Gary was much easier. Then returned to Pallet to remember I needed catch 60 different Pokemon Species. So off I went and caught over 40 Pokemon. Then travelled over to the Islands and found the Ruby and completed the Lorelie Event. Then travelled over to pattern bush to find me a Heracross.

Beat Brock and Misty rather easily not fighting Lt. Surge until I have at least one Ice Pokemon. Finished the SS. Anne event to get cut even Rival is easy when you've got a level 34 beast. Missed many many trainers since I need to train up the new Ice Pokemon I will soon have. Saved just before Rock Tunnel. Gonna head to Fuchsia, then Saffron to grab a PokeDoll to distract the Ghost. Save Mr. Fuji and I'll have the flute so I can finally kill that Snorlax blocking my path to the Super Rod.

My last battle.
Gary's team was the worst Battle. I got off well. Charizard beat Heracross, and then beat Exeggutor OHKO with Blaze. Then Beedrill knocked off about half of Blastoise's HP before fainting, and poisoning it. Then sent out Butterfree. Which after Giga Drain, and the poison, Blastoise probably only had One HP. So Gary used Full Restore. AHHHHHHHHH! But Butterfree fainted Blastoise eventually after I used a Full restore.
Then kept Butterfree in for Tyranitar. Silver Wind raised stats second attack. Then knocked out Tyranitar. Gary sent out Arcanine and knocked out Butterfree. So I used Charizard and Rock Slide to finish off Arcanine. Then Gary only had Alakasam left, so used Yanma and Heracross as Guinea pigs to heal Beedrill and Butterfree. Only I forgot about Calm Mind. Sent out Beedrill. Alakasam OHKO Beedrill.
Butterfree got fainted so all I had was Charizard. Wish I could keep talking, but Charizard just passed Alakasam with a Critical Hit Wing Attack.
Eventually finished up with this team.

Turns out I needed to get the Silph Scope to get past the ghost. Got the Flute and killed the Snorlax. Finally got a Super Rod so was able to catch a Shellder who I immediately evolved with a Water Stone. Also caught a Poliwhirl and traded it for a Jynx with that guy in Cerulean. Getting pretty lucking in terms of Natures, they all seem to be beneficial.

Defeated both Surge and Erika easily with Jynx, gaining levels like crazy. Got to Fuchsia City and immediately went to get Surf but I soon realised that I needed another badge to use it. Absolutely annihilated Koga with Jynx's Psychic (TM). Went to the Seafoam Islands and caught a Seel which quickly evolved into a Dewgong which is surprisingly strong. Also caught an Articuno after many a PokeBall. Unlucky with the Nature but theres no way I was going to be picky when Articuno took so long to catch. I'll have a Lapras soon which will round off my team very nicely.

Phew! Managed to beat the E4 on my first go, although it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Many of my Pokemon just lacked the power to deliver OHKOs. Venusaur proved to be invaluable and was the reason I won 3 out of the 5 battles, its Sleep Powder/Leech Seed combo never missing. Both Articuno and Lapras who I had hoped would be my powerhouse sweepers became liabilities due to their Natures.

Gary was surprisingly difficult. I couldn't even OHKO his Pidgeot and if it weren't for Venusaur his Charizard would have obliterated my entire team. Gyrados was sent out early and ripped into my team killing both Lapras and Cloyster. I still had 3 Pokemon when Gary sent out his last Pokemon so I didn't do too bad.

well I (formerly BidoofMaster) am dropping out =( I got to much else going on and with school and stuff this is a bit too much sorry all =(

After an hour of VS. Seeker spamming to level up my Pokemon I finally felt ready to take on the League for the second time. Most of my Pokemon were in the high 60s and some int the 70s. Lorelei was a pain all her Pokemon were annoyingly bulky and I couldn't OHKO a single one. Jynx would have ripped my team apart if she didn't miss a Psychic giving my own Jynx a chance to Lovely Kiss it to sleep and Fake Tears it enough to OHKO with a Psychic of my own.

Bruno was quite difficult because I very stupidly tried to beat him without Jynx. Nearly all of his Pokemon have Rock Slide which OHKO all my Pokemon save Lapras and Venusaur. Eventually I revived Jynx and its speed was able to sweep all of his Pokemon with OHKOs. The two Steelix didn't even feature.

Agatha was the biggest pain ever. Her Gengars was faster than any of my Pokemon so the only one who could OHKO (Jynz) was OHKO'd herself. Luckyily I had Venusaur on my team that took every attack like a champ. I was able to Leech Seed both to death eventually while I healed and occasionally used Sludge Bomb.

Lance was cake. I OHKO all his Pokemon except Kingdra who fell victim to Venusaur's Sleep Powder and Sludge Bombs.

Rival was a lot easier than I thought he would be. Venusaur took a hit so he could land a Sleep Powder on Charizard which saved my team. Everyone else was easy. Rival has a huge weakness to Ice types over half his pokemon have a weakness to it.

So in conclusion, Venusaur ftw.
