2) Go to Prof. Jasmine's lab afterwards?
3) Go to Central City's Radio Tower after 2) and talk to Prof. Oak?

between the Youngster and the Camper should be gone.

Unbelievably well made hack. I can say with great deal of confidence that this is the greatest hack ever made (and I've play my share of pokemon hacks!)!!! This game could EASILY outgrow ShinyGold by Zel (sorry Zel, but this really is a great game!). The maps are unbelievably beautiful, and the 3D effects are amazing! And please, Wesley FG if you're reading this, could you make my wish come true in this hack, which I believe other players would like, if you could make the hero ride on his pokemon instead of using a bike (for exp. Arcenine, Rapidash, Tauros,...). Anyway thanks for this AMAZING game!

But if he changes something you shouldn't use your old save states.

Your not supposed to ask for a release date, and Wesley said that the next beta will be the entire thing, though you will have to wait if you want to play it in English.

I looked at the map of Lauren and I saw some forests. I wonder what events will go on? Do we fight against Team Steam in Lauren. Also you change some names, Diamond to Lucas, Kenta/Gold to Ethan. However that is a suggestion and you don't have to do it if you don't want to Wesley. Oh, and are there any other Gym Leaders of Zheri that have their names changed?

I've never done this before.. when i try open the patched pokemon ruby file with no$gba i just get an error message saying 'the rom-image has crashed'.

I have the original ruby rom, extracted
I have the IPS file, extracted
I used 'IPSwin' to patch the ruby file with the IPS file... and all i get is the message i posted above, can anybody help me outt? x

Rew, use the emulator Visual Boy Advance to play the game and Lunar IPS to patch the IPS file to the ruby rom.

but the name of the places are different.It is why in this beta the WorldMapa not yet is inserted, and for I inserted-ló is alone to use the tutorial one that already it comes in the Cyclone tool:

1) I guess not :/ But probably if you lose battle you can re-activate the event.

I also found a bug didnt read through whole thread if it was here but if u use a headbutt on the tree after u fight those guys where u have to wear their uniform...

If u use a headbutt an egg is using it and then u can move all over the place but the screen isnt so basically you can go outside the screen x) will post a screenshot

1. No. There's only one Pichu in this Hack.
2. No.
3. That will be fixed in the final version of this Hack.
4. That's because I forgot to edit the moves of the
4th Gen Pokemon.

Doubtful, as 4th gen moves can't be implemented, technically. Yeah, you can rename existing moves, change the damage they do and what type they are, but not properly implement animations or anything like that.

1-not will be possible to find pichus wild.
2-yes, but not in this beta, I am working in this.
3-I am thinking about botar movements of generation IV, but as I said already I am certain that it exists new blows invented for me.
4-This must be a BUG will go to adjust as soon as possible, but no publisher of Trainer functions very well with me, when decrees the blows, but I go to try.
5-This must be error of the translation, therefore in Portuguese I tested each I say of ALL the people, but in English I did not have time to test.

Debtor and all the Pokémons of the fourth generation had been edited in agreement as the site serebii.net all the moves that they learn, do not only learn the movess of IV the generation that had not been added for hack.

Wesley, these updates are terrfic! I'm trying to give constructive critiscism, as that is what folks are supposed to do, but it's pretty much impossible! You are a visionary, a legend amongst hackers. You update frequently and with a plethora of eye candy. Your hack has gone beyond being on par with pokemon games; it is better. When this is finished and translated, send a copy to GameFreak. I'm not joking, you deserve a career in this. I understand that some gen 4 moves probably can't be replicated since their effects weren't implemented in gen 3 (Pluck, Fling, U-Turn or Bug Bite to name a few) but there are some that wouldn't be that hard to replicate or at least replace with similar gen 3 moves (replacing Vespiquen's Heal Order with Recover and Power Gem with Ancient Power, for example)

Weird. That's impossible.

I don't know if that is a bug. There is a hyper potion in the seanport beach. When you go back to the pokemon center, when you go back to the beach, the hyper potion is there again.

Anyways, that was very minor compared to how great this hack is. Wesley is such a great guy. Thanks for all your hardwork on this hack.

Ive notice theres some holes in the ground with smoke coming out. Thats really nice cuz it looks like the character is sitting on one of them and all his guts are getting drained through the hole and out the other hole below the character. Good job with the animation (although it got much easier with the new tool)! Also the trees look nice, but once the grass has been steped in, the pallete of it doesn't really flow with the rest of the other tiles... I know the tile is supposed to be different, but it stands out just a little too much.

Aww man! I had this great comment for this all typed up and ready to go, but I forgot to log in before posting it, so it was lost forever (my perfect debut post is ruined!).

Anyway, here's the gist of it:

I absolutely love this hack--in fact I registered here just so I could tell you how much I love it (well, that and so I could download Pokemon Pure Gold--also a great hack). However, there are two (admittedly small) things that stick out to me:

1. Having a new text box open up when someone else is speaking would be great, since having everyone speaking in the same box--even though their names are marked--gets a little confusing.

and

2. You might want to get a few more translators--or some translators for your translators, since some of the grammer and punctuation (or lack thereof) in the english version is a little... bad. I do realize that this is being translated from portuguese, so some translating problems are bound to happen, but you might want to get a few grammar-freaks (the original term might count as swearing, so I'll refrain from using it) to look over the english script a few times and correct any mistakes.

--and again, these are small things. They don't hurt the gameplay, they just annoy me a little.

No problem, I'll edit some screenshots into this post when I get back on--I'm off to bed for now, since it's been near 48 hours since I last slept (mostly spent on a godawful class project, but whatever helps the grades, right?) .


Okay, I'm back. I started a new file on the hack to take some screenshots (I stopped when you choose a pokemon from professor jasmine's suitcase) and I've got almost 30 screenshots from just the intro scenes alone, however, I can't post the screenshots until I get 15 or more posts here, so they'll have to wait a while.

here's a few other notes (it's a bit wordy and mostly small nitpicks, so don't take this too hard, okay?) -
there seems to be a lot of repitition of whatever it is someone's talking about--see images repitition 1 and 2 for one of the multiple examples. a funny one is in the begining:

???: Yes, but first, I should introduce myself. My name is... KAHORI.
MC: What?! You're KAHORI??
KAHORI: Yes, I am KAHORI, the champion of Zheri, and I am a Close Friend of PROFEESOR JASMINE. I have another friend who wants to see this great mystery, and it turns out that the mystery is related to the origin of the World!!
MC: Could you go there ASAP?
KAHORI: Salamence, use FLY now!
KAHORI: Sure!

all of this is taken verbatum from the first conversation with him you have after leaving your house, spelling and punctuation unaltered.
another slight script problem is that some things are capitalized when they don't need to be, and other things that need to be capitalized aren't.
another comment: right after the awesome salamence travel scene, you walk out of the pokemon center and Kahori is standing outside--THEN the fly/landing animation occurs, which looks really wierd, since they're both already standing there. by extension, the fly animation after he destroys the tablet is a little off as well, since the bird (it's a salamence, but it's a bird animation--a recolor of the regular fly animation, so it's fine) gets past him and almost out of the screen before his sprite disappears.
on the subject of scene animations, the hydro pump animation in the following scene doesn't work--a waterfall (just one) tile just flashes to the tablet (though it is referred to as the "Strange Thing" about twelve times with no 'it's' or similar replacement words, though it's also called a 'scripture' and an 'Alpha Language Document'--it's cool how they have so many classifications for such a Strange Thing. Indeed, it doesn't seem very strange at all.) and it disappears. though the rain dance animation and such afterwords works and looks beautiful, by the way.
　
also: a small plothole, if they had to track you down specifically to read the tablet (because you're apparently one of the only people who knows the alpha language, other than your father), why is professor jasmine so worried that someone will see it (even though it's smack in the middle of a town, so plenty of people have already seen it, they just can't read it)--to the point of having it destroyed?
all it says is that god was beaten by three dragons and the world is coming unbalanced--what harm could knowing what's on he tablet do? if the reader were to spread this information (an ancient rock says the world is coming to an end!) to the public, they'd be laughed out of everywhere they went--even if someone were gullible enough to believe it, what then?and for some reason, the site keeps splitting the spoiler into two, despite my repeated attempts to correct it.

its either your Ruby ROM is not clean US version or your emulator is not set at Options>Emulator>Show Save Type> Flash 128k

Guys, im making a save in the pokemon light platinum but when i enter in the tv station and was about to fight with hunter zero(i was almost entering on the room) , my game "crashed" and my char stopped, and hunter zero transformed on my char and i had my original one stopped outside of the room (i can only control the second one and i cant leave the room)...

After 1 and a half year of trying to patch this thing all day long with only eating two times and drinking once, I finaly patched it. Yay now im going to play it.*opens vba and selects game*........ The update was nice. I'm happy to know that your scripting actively and I really like the graphic. Carlos, the ground leader, I think he'll have Rypherior, Golem, Donphan, and Dugtrio. For Wally, the electric leader, I'm going to guess that he has a Electabuzz/Electevire, Raichu, Ampharos, and Luxray. And finally, for Aline, ice leader, I believe she'll have Glaceon, Lapras, Piloswine/Mamoswine, and Walrein. Anyways, those are my guesses. Good luck with the hack!

That's true, the only possible but very weak connection I found between Sabrina and psychic types is you get the name "Abra" if you mix the letters around a bit, or that it's possibly a reference to Sabrina the Teenage Witch. But a lot of Leaders and Elite 4 have type-themed names (Brock, Lt. Surge, Falkner, Pryce, Will, Roxanne, Brawly, Wattson, Glacia, Drake, Volkner, Flint, etc.) so I think this naming scheme should be given some consideration, at least for a few of the Leaders.

But they really sound crappy :/

Make sure that you are using v1.0 of Ruby ROM. I verified mine with Advance Map. But I believe most of the downloadable Ruby ROMs are of v1.0

Try doing this, if you are using VBA, open your VBA. Go to Options>Emulator>Save Type then choose Flash 128k. I hope this works. :D

It's hard to say why it doesn't work... most hacks aren't made with phone emulator support in mind, usually just Visual Boy Advance.

I really love this hack. I downloaded it in Portuguese just to see how much I could understand because of my Spanish. It's amazing how much I understood perfectly and how similar the two languages are. Furthermore, the maps and basically the entire hack in general is just beautiful! Good work and good luck!
