im playing the game its great but on my town map or fly map ect. it shows my charector on a little island off the side of inhore and no matter where i go on the map my players marker is always there so somtimes it get confusing any help would be nice....... but other then that great hack great game

(If you read Wesley's comment about the virus, its clear he didnt have to start from scratch but rather from an old version which would postpone the beta, not completely change it.)

Open VBA, go to Emulator, Save Type, change it to 128k where the numbers are, close it, open it up, make sure the setting is still 128k and if so, open up your game and play ;)

Sometimes it could be a problem with the patching program.
Which one do you use? I use Lunar IPS it works all the time

Like said above the patching could be the issue.

Make sure the Ruby Rom is American and clean.
I used Gbata(Google it) to patch the rom, used the 128k settings and the game worked fine for me ;)

Why do you need to patch it if you're using VBA? VBA comes with automatic IPS patching, just make sure the ips file and base rom have the same name and are in the same folder and VBA will do the rest.

I am under the same patching information as rikudaman. I believe it is what is known as "soft patching", as apposed to to "hard patching". What i dont get is why this will not patch like the others. i have played numerous other hacks by using the information rikudaman. So i do think the VBA has a auto patching system, but his time it will not work. i guess i will download a new ruby base, but wierd that this base doesnt work when it has worked with other ruby based hacks.

i played through the beta fine on my computer, but then i tried it with gpsp and it doesn't work... i think wes has a bunch of compatibility stuff that got taken out or something from the game :( chances are it won't be fixed in the next beta either... but i'll keep my fingers crossed :D

I think I know what people fighting you're talking about. Go back to town and check the buildings. There's an event in one of'em, and then the bridge is free to cross.

hmm...if you read most of the post,most people has the same problem..anyway,i encounter this same problem before on Wes old beta but i manage to play it.But i am playing it on psp so it may be different on com.
Here is what i do:I ask someone who manage to play the game,play new game and told him to put whatever name i want as the character then just after the start of the game,i told him to save and send the save file to me.Then i put the save file in the save files folder on GPSP and play it.Instead of pressing new game,i press continue[or whatever].Then voila,i can play the game.I think it is the same if using Vb or No$Gba...make sure the save file name is the same..

I have a small question about the EV training.
Do all of your newly added pokemons give the correct number and type of EV points as they should?
In the beta 3, I trained the ATK stat's EV point by battling Shinx but it didn't work.
But it worked for training HP stat's EV point by battling Wurmple and Caterpie (I think because they're original pokemons of ruby version).

I'm pretty sure It was because of the emulator settings. Someone uploaded their setting a few pages back, so download them and see if it works.

Oh, I see. But, shoudn't you just move on without Wesley answering your question? (Unless it's important.) You can unlock the Rom to translate it by using Rom Header Editor (Which can be downloaded in Toolbox and it is made by Hack Mew.) Just remember to translate it and not trying to steal anything. I know you're reliable so I'm telling you this.

Ok, I'm not 100% sure of what i'm about to say, but clock patching the rom may help. When i used Gbata and a (U) rom as suggested, i tried to go for a diract patch, and got the blank screen.

Then i tried to clock patch, then apply the game patch. Bingo, so far so good. I'll keep you updated if i find any problems ;)

For some reason I can't play your hack, I have patched it over 2 different Pokemon Ruby Roms, and each time I open the rom in Visual Boy, I get a white screen.( I have the save type set to flash and the biggest Flash option). What am I doing wrong?

I figured out how to fix the white screen problem. What you need to do is google search: "RHEA rom hacking tool", download it, open it, open the rom you patched, paste this: AXVE into the game code, and then run it in an emulator.

Try using A-text, and search fot the text.
Sure, you can't increase the amount of letters, but it's better than noting.

The only thing bothering me is in the intro with dialga, palkia and arceus.
Because Arceus (or the ground) seems a little "off-centered"?
Also the pallette used for Arceus looks strange.

But other than that, FLAWLESS!

Try using A-text, and search fot the text.
Sure, you can't increase the amount of letters, but it's better than noting.

I have no idea how to use A-Text. I prefer editing through XSE. But some scripts have been cut off when them through XSE, so I have to use A-Text for scripts instead. I still have no idea on how to edit Dragon Trio vs Arceus Script (Dunno where the Script is located, so no idea how to edit it.) and the Kahori Script. (The missing part that Ash gave me isn't working.) Some other Talking Scripts cannot be translated is because I have no idea on how to use A-Text.

I can't run the programs to extract the text files what I will do is use images to show what I'll be translating... Kinda hard to explain, but you guys will see. Nope, just A-Text won't work. You need XSE too. And yes, I use Online Translators. (I'll correct the Grammar Mistakes that the Online Translator makes.)

Maybe you didn't patch it properly because most of the members visiting at this thread can play the hack.

Are you using Ruby 1.0 or Ruby 1.1 as the rombase, as they have differences.

If you can find them, try using different types of roms.
There is 3 versions of Pokemon Ruby (U/E).
They are v1.0, v1.1 & v1.2

1.0 worked for me, but not 1.1, nor 1.2.

Try using Pokemon Ruby (U) v1.0 if you can find one.
That'll probably solve your problem. ;D

Uh... yeah... anyways, I made a mistake in the last post. My mom didn't actually accidently go to a English Learning Website, she typed English Learning Website in English (Which is Google) and those are the only English Words she knew at that time, she wanted me to learn the international language, which I refused Japanese.

Anyways, Ash still hasn't informed me of him finishing the Translation, which I'm waiting for him to finish. And just to let you guys know, I'm the main Translator, and Ash is basically my Translation Fixer, who helps me fix the Scripts I've messed up, and the ones I cannot translate. Beta 1 English Version should come out either Today or Tomorrow, depending on how fast Ash helps me with the Translation.

Stay tuned, guys! If I say the English Beta's comin' soon, then it, of course, will release ASAP.

OK,now can any one tell me which one is the best until now ? I mean the one that's 100% English and can be finished and gba format ok ? I have found so many light platinum on Google but none of them work,when I try to play it with the emulator on my phone,it stuck at the circle below the professor.And after a while it crash ! (It's the only version that have error with my emulator,all the others work fine).So,I need all of you guys to help me out of this coz I see this hack is awesome and I can't wait to try it ! I say this as a Linguistics/Portuguese/English/Literature student. Seems to me that when someone doesn't have anything to say, the way to seem right is by demoralizing one's grammar. Also, biasing someone by the way he speaks is one of the many primitive and vulgar forms of hate, such as sexism, speciesm and racism. Is time you all chill about the grammar, and start caring about just what you're saying. What, by the way, if everyone did would save everyone else's time answering to "HEY I CAN'T OPEN THE ROM!1" comments.

But as far as I'm concerned, Bidoof doesn't have Pickup. However Wesley could have replaced Zigzagoon with Bidoof and he didn't change abilities. That's the point probably, I'll check this myself later.

All You Do is open it...
Select apply IPS Patch and Select the IPS...

Dude, you're probably confusing grammar (everything that concerns the use of a language, and not only the pattern norm, but also the spoken varieties, even lilttle kids have perfect grammar per se) and syntax (phrasal structure). Spelling is a part of grammar, so is syntax, and they're all spelled in lower case.
As for the betas, you can't really make a comparison, they're too different.
Beta 3 has several gyms regions and pokémons, as the new beta has cooler sprites, scripts, trainers, layouts and a better english translation (thanks to you and Ash :D).

How do you get pass the white wall glitch. XD I got pass it for another hack but it doesn't work the same way for this one.

Don't tell me to change the save type its at 128k, on Visualboy and that's as high as it goes.
