PC Presidential Elections!

Candidates have alreayd been chosen, please don't apply anymore.

Welcome to the PokéCommunity Presidential Elections!

This year, in order to honor the presidential elections, PC is gonna hold it's own elections, and you have a chance (providing you qualify) to win the title of PokéCommunity President! Or, if you manage to grab 2nd place, PokéCommunity Vice President!

The President and Vice President will have a bigger PM boxes, colored names (Chose by the President) and a title, like the Moderator under Mod's titles. And of course, the ultimate part, you can brag to the other members that you got voted into office. And no, you don't get to be a mod... but hey, you get the title. And we all know that's the best part of being a mod.

Now, after reading what you can get, I bet you're wondering how you can get it, ne? Well, you have to either PM to JKaizer (http://www.pokecommunity.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=2788) or Lightning (http://www.pokecommunity.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=31) saying that you want to join in the fun and take a shot at running.

There is just a single rule for running, however, so please follow it.
The Rule:
- You have to have been a member of PC for over 1 month as of August 25th.

Note: This is to ensure that you are at least somewhat active in PC. Please don't apply if you've only visited three times in the entire month.

And that's it. Not too hard to follow, right?


How it'll work
After 10 days from today, application acception will be done. A list will be compiled from the applicants, and a thread will be posted in either Announcements or Other Chat and members will reply with their top 4 choices from the list. The top 10 of canidates from the "Primaries" will then be announced, and campaigning can begin.

Members will have until election day to campaign, and on that date a poll will be posted and each member will be able to vote for their top choice for PC President. The winner of that poll will be declared the PC President and will be awarded their prizes. Ditto with the Vice President.


Any questions about this can be posted in this thread or PMed to either JKaizer or Lightning, the two people heading this.

"Vote Me" posts made throughout the forum, with no other motive in the post besides gaining votes, will be considered SPAM. It's okay to have a "~Vote Me" at the end, or a catch phrase, but no posts completely about voting for you.

There is not difference in power or font change though. Theres one small difference, and besides that they are exactly the same. The are similar enough to not even recognize as a different group.

Besides, Mods could go into the T-Dome before it was open to PC.

By default, forums are visible only to root admins. The forum maker has to decide the permissions, and if they want mods to see it, then mods are added. :P

They could make a forum that isn't visible to mods but is visible to normal members. ô_ô

For the first 10 days, it'll just be people PMing applications to me and Lightning. After those 10 days, we'll make a list of all the people and post it either in Announcements or OC.

From there, people will choose their top 3 out of that list (It may be a poll if we can fit that many options, otherwise it'll be posting the options) and from there, the top 10 will be determined.

Those top 10 will campaign and try to win the votes of other members here, and finally sometime (maybe Election Day... but that is quite a while away) there will be a poll where the winners will be voted for. =)

Piro is listing his qualities to show the type of person he is. All of those qualities are true and from his heart.

Blue is doing this purely for fun, he has no expectations of getting chosen, but he is willing to take the position if it comes to him.

President is just a colored name and larger PM box.

If you were a true leader you would already address all of PC's problems as if they were your own. After all, what difference is it going to make if you actually do become President?

People like Piro and I already try to address PC's problems with our knowlage and support, but you are only willing to give your support to PC if you become President.

This is about choosing the most-loved person in PC. And to give them recognition. They get no power, so why not at least give them recognition?
