Rawltz & Rawltz Co.

Story:

Rawltz and Rawltz Co. is a business sweeping over the economy of the Pokemon world. The economy of the world couldn’t be any better, and it won’t get any worse with the direction R&R is taking it. But something else is going on behind the great economy boosting and money making schemes of R&R. Authorities suspect that R&R is into something much more devious than simply tricking other businesses into selling the business to R&R. Authorities think that Rawltz and Rawltz are doing something so terrible that only the highest executives of the government can know.

Recently, the highest of the government have diligently chosen people from all over the Pokemon world to go into the business and get into the main building and be a spy for the government. You have been chosen to be a spy to help thwart Rawltz & Rawltz.

On the other hand, Team Tiroge has been slowly and slowly tearing down the Pokemon World little by little, bit by bit. Though Team Tiroge and the Rawltz and Rawlts Co. would seem like the worst of enemies, people believe that they are in close relation. Rawltz and Rawltz has been carefully gaining the trust of the whole of the Pokemon world, acting against Team Tiroge. Team Tiroge has been hurting the world bit by bit, and acts against Rawltz and Rawltz. Authorities think that they have close ties to each other because they seem to have headquarters in the same place and also seem to have related executives.

Plot:

You have recently received a mysterious envelope with your name on it, and with no return address. It is labeled “R&R/TT”. You wonder why this has been sent to you. You are just about to start a Pokemon journey of your own, and you are far too young. You open the letter anyways. It reads:

Dear [Your Character’s Name],
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn’t normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. We will immediately take you to your first destination. You must be there at strictly 7:00 PM. We do not appreciate or tolerate latecomers. Once there, we will all leave for the Laboratory of Professor Hann. There you will receive your first Pokemon, which has been carefully chosen by Hann. Then, Hann and I will explain to you everything that is happening and why. Then, just as quickly as you came, you will leave. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

Sincerely,

The name was unreadable.

Out of Game
Name: chi

In Game
Birth Name: Grey Christopher Rose
Nickname: Chris or Grey
Age: 12
Gender: Male

Appearance
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown/Green (Changes colors, or both at once)
Hair Style: No further than the collar, over the ears a bit.
Weight: 89
General Appearance: Grey is fairly tall for his age, being somewhere around 5'5". He is 'shrimpy' you might say. He doesn't work out, and doesn't have much meat on his bones. He wears a formal watch, nothing fancy though. He usually wears contacts, but if you catch him on a bad day he will be wearing wire-rimmed glasses. He has a few freckles here and there across his face. He has a skinny nose, and has the first signs of acne appearing on his forehead. He has a normal sized chin, and thin lips. He is usually wearing gloves on his hands to cover up his bony fingers. His arms are skinny and most would be able to wrap their hand around his wrists. His legs are the same as his arms: skinny and bony. He has fairly big feet for his small size. A good word to describe his figure is 'lanky'.
Average Attire: Grey wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. He always wears jeans, and is okay with short sleeved shirts. Underneath his shirt he always wears a white undershirt. Over his shirt he usually wears a gray hoodie (ironic, aye?). He has bleach-white sneakers; they look as if they have never been worn. Though you can't see his socks, he usually wears the socks that are hidden beneath the shoe.
Formal Wear: If Grey gets invited to a school party he would probably wear his normal: jeans, short sleeved shirt and undershirt and a gray hoodie. But if the party happens to be a 'Sunday Best' party then he would wear a black or navy blue sports jacket (or suit) accommodated by a usually blue or white button-down shirt with a tie (non-clip on). He would wear khaki or black pants, held up by a usually brown belt. His choice of shoes would be brown 'penny loafers'.
Cold out: On a chilly winter’s day, Grey would be seen in his usual dark blue jeans, but a long sleeved shirt and hoodie. Instead of sparkly white sneakers, Grey would wear brown boots. On cold days Grey would usually have his glasses on, so his contacts won’t dry out with the dry and cold wind. If it is especially cold, he would either have a hat on, or the hood of his hoodie.

Personality
Likes: Cats, work, Pokemon, Internet, technology
Dislikes: Siblings, dogs, cold days, warm days
Fears: Blood/guts, death, pain
Strengths: Schoolwork, work, typing
Dream: Grey's main goal would be one of the most well-known Pokemon technology inventor.
Personality: Grey is calm whenever things around him are calm. He is a follower if whatever must get done doesn't affect his grades, etc., but whenever something comes up and it will affect his life he will take the lead of the project and complete it with his best efforts and intentions. His mood changes as the mood of those around him changes. If it is a rainy day, he will most likely be gloomy, but on a bright day he will be happy and calm. Whenever something sad, devastating, happy, or joyous happens, he usually won’t show much emotion. A good way to describe his personality is if the weather is good, he’s good, but if the weather is gloomy, he’s gloomy. Because of his small size he is usually picked on by kids his age and older. Usually the first time they pick on him is also the last. He has a darks side when someone threatens him or tries to hurt him. People learn that despite his laid back person, he can get mad fairly easily. Outwardly to everyone Grey is very calm and shy, but those who really get to know him will see that he can be very open and talkative, quite the opposite of his normal, laid back personality. Grey is loyal to everyone around him and when he is around strangers, he tends to try to be cool and mysteries to make a good impression, but he usually fails.

Name - Mary Iona

Past: Twenty-two years to the day before Grey was born, his brother, Thorn Jr. was born. Twenty-two years later Grey and his twin sister Scarlett were born on a rainy, gloomy day; his parents were Scarlett and Thorn, both were great, wealthy Pokemon trainers. Sadly, Scarlett died at birth. Then to make his birth sadder, his dad died less than a week later. Now Scarlett was a single mom of to boys: the newborn Grey and Thorn Jr., age 10. Then, when Grey was eight and his brother was 18, their mother died. After the deaths of his parents Thorn became estranged from his only left family member, Grey. He left Grey in the care of Mary Iona, a boring, old caretaker. Luckily for Grey it was only two years before he left on his Pokemon journey. But when Grey finally turned ten, Iona wouldn't let him leave. After another two year wait, Grey was able to leave, but with no Pokemon. On a search to find his brother, he ended up in Sangem Town, where there was a Professor, who had a computer. He looked up his brothers name, Thorn Rey Rose Jr. he found out that his brother was the owner of the biggest money-making company and was better known now as Mr. Rose; Grey then knew that his brother would never let him live with him. He was a big shot now, not caring about his orphaned brother. That is when Grey knew that he finally needed to go on his own Pokemon journey.
Other: Though Grey would love to become part of his brothers new family, he was filled with hate because his brother left him long ago.

Out of Game:
Name: Army
In Game
Birth Name: Domonic Christopher Santino
Nickname: Dom
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance
Hair Color: Ebony Black
Eye Color: Navy Blue
Hair Style: Somewhat long, about eye level. Usually matted and messy.
Weight: Around 210 lbs, mostly muscle.
General Appearance: [I assume you mean like facial features and such.] Dom doesn't really have anything special going on with facial features. He has some stubble that he tries to keep clean shaven. He has a few freckles around his nose left over from his childhood years, but not that many to notice unless you really look for them.
Dom's build is quite nice. He works out frequently which resulted in his muscular figure. He has a nice, cut six-pack and thick Quadriceps and Hamstring. He is known for his massive leg strength; while his arm strength is sub-par.
Average Attire: Dom can be considered a poster boy for a Rocker. He is always sporting T-Shirts with his favorite bands; or maybe even his favorite guitar's on them. His hair is usually covering the topmost part of his eyes; providing a limited view of his face. The staple to his outfit is his guitar that is always swung around his back. It's a beautiful instrument with a special engravement on the metal plate that lies on the backside of the guitar. The engravement reads "Dear Son, Happy 7th Birthday. We love you. ~Mom and Dad".
Moving downward, his legs are usually covered by jeans. Never shorts though, for Dom hated people seeing his legs. Usually the jeans have a rip or two around the knees; nothing big, just little tattered spots here and there. His pants are held up by a black leather belt with a shiny belt buckle that was in the shape of a guitar's topmost part; the part with the tuning pegs.
Even further down, Dom's shoes are mostly his favorite dark blue, high-top shoes [I'm speaking of real-life Converse shoes, but I don't want to use copyrights.]. But he has a few other favorites; such as his pitch black skate shoes. Dom never skated, but he did love skate shoes.
Formal Wear: While attending the fancy-doo's Dom will wear only the best of the best formal clothing. Not something you would expect out of him; but hey, he likes to look nice for the ladies.
He dons his dark blue striped blazer with the fancy undershirt. He keeps a tiny handkerchief in the blazer pocket; not for fancy looks, but for his allergies.
His dress pants match his blazer; dark blue and striped. In the right pocket of his dress pants lies a guitar pick. Mainly because he can't carry his guitar with him; but he still wants part of it to stay with him at all times.
His black dress shoes are shined periodically to keep them looking their best at all times. Dom gets them so shiny you could see your reflection in them.
Cold out: When the weather gets a bit too nippy for Dom's tastes he throws on his favorite jacket. It has a checkerboard pattern on the sleeves and on the back. The front of it sports his favorite logo. [It looks exactly like this jacket: http://www.tillys.com/tillys/variant...ze=-1&source=3 (http://www.tillys.com/tillys/variants.aspx?prod=137948125&ctlg=010_Guys&ctg=030_Guys_Sweatshirts&nav=brand&bid=11&kw=dc-shoes&size=-1&source=3). Again, did not want to use copyrights]
He breaks the mold of his usual jeans when the temperature decreases. Instead he wears black sweat pants that are somewhat baggy. His shoes remain the same no matter what the temperature.
As for headwear, Dom will just throw on his hood for head warmth when needed.

Dream: Dom has no real goal. He takes life as it comes. But if he had to choose he would probably say that he wants to complete a Poke'dex someday.
Personality: Dom has a very interesting personality. He has so many different personality concepts all crammed into his being. For starters, he is incredibly flirtatious. If a nice looking woman catches his eye there is no hesitation to him flirting with her.
He is also very competitive. He protects his personal championship in guitar playing and running. So far, nobody has bested him in either.
All around though, he is a pretty simple, kind person. He is quite charitable and honest. You wouldn't really expect these kinds of actions with his outward presence; but hey, you can't judge a book by its cover!
History
Family:
Mother- Deborah Leanne Santino, age 37
Father- Joshua Scott Santino, age 39
Past: Dom's life has been pretty basic up until now. He was born in LavenderTown to his two loving parents; who have been there for him his whole life. One day, when Dom was 6 to be exact, He and his father were traveling around CeladonCity when Dom noticed a raggedy looking bum city on the corner playing a beaten and worn guitar with an open case in front of him. The intoxicating tune filled Dom's eardrums as he stared in awe at the beautiful music. Dom's father merely pulled Dom away and threw some pocket change into the guitar case. "Daddy! Daddy! I want a music player like that!" Dom would plead. "Maybe someday son" His father would say with a hearty giggle while patting his son's head.
That day came two years later; on Dom's tenth birthday. Dom was unaware of what the large rectangular box held. He tore like mad at the ribbons and paper. The guitar revealed its shining glory in a matter of seconds. Dom stared for a few moments, and then broke into tears of joy. He embraced his parents and picked up the guitar and automatically played a simple, yet graceful, tune on it. He was a natural.
Over the years, Dom's talent grew to near professional levels. He has gained much respect among LavenderTown as their local "Jimi Hendrix".
Other: Dom has bad allergies.

Birth Name: Gale Sapphire Hana
Nickname: Cobalt, Saph
Age: 14
Gender: Girl

Appearance
Hair Color: Golden Blonde
Eye Color: Sapphire Blue
Hair Style: Long and straight; roughly chest length
Weight: Secret~ But it isn't unreal
General Appearance: Gale is average-sized in terms of width. She has a D-cup, which men tend to stare at often (to her dismay). She is roughly 5'6" in height, so she's a lot taller than some may expect. And, she has a scar over her left eye. It is a crimson red, and I will explain how it got there in her history. But it makes her look more "sexy" to many for some reason...
Average Attire: Gale wears a white t-shirt, where the sleeves for the arms end roughly at the elbows. She wears green camoflauge capris that go until about an inch or two above her foot. She wears black slip-ons, similar to what a schoolgirl would wear, and she has short white socks to go with them. Often times, she wears a white kitty-eared cap and even more rarely a white kitty tail.
Formal Wear: Gale honestly does not like dressing up. But when she does, she wears a silky and smooth sapphire blue gown-like dress that ends around her knees. She wears silky sapphire blue slipper-like shoes to go with the dress. She also has pearl white frills where her dress starts (roughly around her chest; some cleavage is showing) and at the end on the bottom. She will occasionally wear a silver tiara with a beautiful sapphire in the middle.
Cold out: Gale actually just wears her average attire, as she is pretty much oblivious to temperatures from 33 degrees F and 69 degrees F. But, if it drops below 33 degrees F, Gale puts on a sapphire blue scarf with a wave-like pattern in the fabric. She will also put on a sapphire blue faux fur coat, where the faux fur is pearl white. She may also wear sapphire blue cozy slippers and black hiking socks to go with them, so she can keep her feet warm.

Personality
Likes:

+Technology

Dislikes:
-Water and Electric Pokemon
-Evil Peoples
-Stuck-Up People
Fears:
-Dying early
-Having her Pokemon experience the same mishaps she did
Strengths:
+Singing
+A decent battler
+A good seamstress
+A somewhat decent coordinator
Dream: To prove she just isn't "eye candy", and that she can be as good a battler (not to mention coordinator) as any boy.
Personality: Gale is very shy and quiet. She can be stubborn at times, but only when people try to make her do things she doesn't want to do, or if they collide with things she already has planned. Gale is also a brilliant tactician. She is able to plan out and execute strategies perfectly, and she is able to take note of her opponent's strategies, as well as the strategies certain Pokemon may have. She also may tend to be a bit of a scatterbrain, sometimes forgetting things. She may also tend to zone out, much to the dismay of some.

History
Family: Orphan, so no family :/
Acquaintances:
Rin "Yin" Tao - 18 - free-spirited coordinator and battler; works well with her partner/twin; has a blue female Shellos named Lan
Ren "Yang" Tao - 18 - free-spirited coordinator and battler; works well with his partner/twin; has a pink female Shellos named Zhen

Past: Gale has been an orphan for so long, she's lost track of where she's been and what she has done. She only remembers places she has stayed at for the longest times. Overtime, she gained a sewing kit and free lessons from someone with a heart of gold, so she can sew together attire for her or her Pokemon. As for the scar... She was struck by a Gallade's Fury Cutter while trying to protect a small girl. Eventually, the owner of the Gallade recalled his Pokemon, so it couldn't do any more harm. But since then, Gale's scratch has remained in place.
Other: Her singing seems to have a soothing effect on Pokemon and people O.o
Where Your Character is When Receiving the Letter: Blackthorn City, Johto, in the Dragon's Den; she has lived all her life in Phenac City, of the Orre Region, but decided to go to Johto on vacation, so she took a boat from Gateon Port and arrived in Olivine. She then trekked all the way to Blackthorn, and decided to visit the Dragon's Den and stay there for a while to avoid the hectic pedestrians.

Preferred Starter: Larvitar (Female; nicknamed Terra Ruby, or just Terra for short; Adamant Nature (+Atk. -Sp. Atk.) as given); Terra has a ruby red scar in the shape of an "X" right in the middle of her forehead, but it is unknown as to how she got it

Birth Name: Sydney Acacia Ackerman
Nickname: Syd
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark Brown (Almost looks blackish)
Eye Color: Light Gray
Hair Style: She has bangs that go down over her right eye and the rest of her hair is kept in a ponytail
Weight: 103 Ibs.

General Appearance: Sydney stands at five foot and three inches but sometimes she wears black three inch high heels to make her seem taller than she actually is, although it doesn’t exactly go with her outfit. Sydney inherited long dark brown hair from her mother which she usually ties into a ponytail while letting her bangs fall down to cover a bit of her right eye. On random occasions, she will allow her lengthy, wavy hair to freely flow down her back; it has recently grown to be almost reaching her lower back. She has some pretty strong legs as she tends to run a lot but not because she feels she has to, just for enjoyment. Her light gray eyes have a tendency to resemble a bluish hue in the sunlight and are also one of her most attracting features.

Average Attire: Syd can usually be seen sporting a short sleeved gray and black striped sweater that she received not too long ago from her mother. She has two diamond earrings, one for each ear, though she usually only puts them in depending on how she feels. Syd has white khaki short shorts, but they aren’t exactly too short; the shorts reach about halfway upon her legs. Her feet are covered by long black socks and green high-top converse shoes that never seem to want remain tied together. Before a battle, she may pull out a purple headband that doesn’t exactly have much a purpose other than that the fact that she possibly considers it lucky.

Formal Wear: On special occasions or outings, Sydney dresses in a black pant suit with the black three inch high heels that she occasionally wears with her regular outfit. She has loop earrings that she always wears when going somewhere nice as somewhat of a “complement” to the rest of her attire. Most of the time, she will leave her somewhat curly hair down, and also positions a white flower into her hair, usually on the left side.

Cold out: When it is cold out, she usually wears her normal clothing in addition to a wooly gray jacket with a feathery hood. Sometimes, she may put on some blue jeans if it is absolutely too cold for her mostly bare legs to handle. She is very lazy about doing so though, and usually just tries to toughen up through the chilly winds and air.

Likes:

* Thunderstorms
* Styling hair
* Volleyball
* Pokemon battles
* Meeting new people
* Going crazy
* People who play instruments

Dislikes:

* Her older brother
* School
* Being told what to do
* Mainstream Rap music (some underground is okay with her)
* The tuba

Fears:

* Pidgeottos
* Falling off a tall building (Heights basically)
* Losing her family
* Her hair getting cut off somehow

Strengths:

* Styling people’s hair
* Rock climbing
* Sparring
* Inventing

Dream: Sydney really just wants to say she has accomplished something big, which a lot of people aren’t capable of proposing themselves. Her brother and her have a fierce rivalry, and she wants to be able to completely destroy him in battle when the time ever arises.

Personality: Sydney tends to have a “I don’t care,” attitude which deeply disturbs her parents; although technically only her mother as she
doesn’t live with her father anymore. She is often described as a “rocker/punk chick” in which this description does pretty much fit her as a whole. She likes to style her hair in different ways yet most of the time it is seen with bangs in the front and the rest of her hair in a ponytail. She loves to meet people, although she may come off as a bit pushy at first. Syd can be a bit overly defensive and has problems telling when someone is joking around or being serious. She is overall a very down-to-earth person and loves to hang out and party or whatever, as well as being a person who one could have a very deep conversation with.

History

Family:

* Mother; Jean McAllister - 40
* Father; Dario Ackerman - 44
* Half-Brother; Roman Tisdale - 17 [Sydney and Roman have the same mother]

Past: Sydney was born March 31st in Petalburg City and has lived there ever since her birth. She originally stayed with her father, mother and brother, yet it was found out many years after Roman’s birth that their mother, Jean, had cheated on their (well, Sydney’s) father, Dario, while they were together. So it is assumed that Roman and Sydney are actually half-siblings through their mother, but have different fathers. This caused quite a bit of disturbance between the family, and also led to Dario leaving the home after a huge argument with Jean. Sydney and Roman ultimately stayed with their mother since it was not known who Roman’s actual father was, he figured it would be pointless to try and look for him since he could quite possibly be anywhere by now. A few months after this fiasco, Roman decided to finally go on his Pokemon journey, and stated that it was something he knew Sydney wouldn’t be able to handle. Sydney was going to embark on hers as well, but felt that her mother would still need some help around the house and ultimately stayed. Well, at least until she received a special letter specifically for her.

Other:

* Sydney and Roman are half-siblings, but were born on the same day, a year apart from each other. For this reason, the two are considered Irish twins.

Birth Name: Daniel Stanley Lupe
Nickname: Danny
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance
Hair Color: Solid Black
Eye Color: Sapphire
Hair Style: Long and clean “Emo” fringe at the front, short at the back.
Weight: 62 KG

General Appearance: Standing at 5’9, Daniel is a well built teenage boy. His semi-long, clean, black hair hangs over his head, showing no signs of life... while his sapphire eyes glow passionately and compliment his lightly tanned skin.

Average Attire: Daniel’s usual attire consists of a long sleeved black t-shirt under a striped jumper, coloured purple and black. A pair of tight black jeans, held up by a white belt with a colourful pattern on it. On his feet he wears new purple themed converse high-tops with bright white laces over black socks. To keep his hair under control he wears a white cap with a red, yellow and blue pattern on the front. It is worn at the back, standing up.

Formal Wear: Formal occasions are something Daniel dreads, he hates being separated from his natural dingy look and “Emo” clothing style. His normal attire is replaced by a black jacket worn over a thick plain white t-shirt and black dress pants, he keeps his purple converse high-tops and white cap, worn nearly upright, just to bring out his more rebellious side.

Cold out: During colder weather Daniel has been known to wear his usual clothing with a few changes. He swaps his striped jumper for a thick black hoody and he swaps his purple converse high-tops for a pair of old white Ugg boots that look as though they've never been worn.

Dream: Daniel hopes to one day be the best Pokémon Coordinator in the world.
Personality: Most people would describe Daniel as a bit odd and those people would be right. Daniel doesn't like acting like everyone else and has always been a bit different, he enjoys singing, shuffling, coordinating and acting like he doesn’t give a damn. Although, he is also one of the most calm and collected people you'd ever meet.

What makes Daniel a lot different to all the other adolescent teenage boys out there is the fact that he doesn't spend his time chasing girls. He'd much rather just be himself and let the girls come to him, which doesn't happen all that much seeing as how unusual he is.

Daniel and Markus tried not to worry too much about it and would usually just take care of themselves.

Once Markus was finally old enough he decided to go on his Pokemon Journey, which meant leaving Daniel with their unstable mother. Markus didn't want his younger brother to get hurt, so he made a few calls and got their grandparents to take care of Daniel while their mother got the help she needed.

So, Markus left to go on his Pokemon Journey and Daniel moved to Lavaridge Town to live with his grandparents. He spent the rest of his young life there and finally got the care he needed and deserved.

Other: Daniel’s father left when he was born, so he has never met him and probably never will.

Name:Slytherfang, Slyther for short

~+ In Game +~

Birth Name: Kelly Natasha Fey
Nickname: None, though some of her close friends occasionally call her ‘Kell’
Age: 14
Gender: Female

~+ Appearance +~

Hair Color: Dark brown with copper streaks around the top
Eye Color: Blue-grey (closer to grey)
Hair Style: Layered, the longest layer being about mid-back length, razor cut, with uneven ends, and her bangs are cut unevenly as well, and are swept to one side across her forehead.
Weight: 116 lbs.
General Appearance: Kelly is physically rather tall, standing at five feet, four and a half inches tall, and slender, weighing one hundred sixteen pounds, she also happens to have a small chest, much to her relief, as she doesn’t attract a whole lot of attention. Her skin is pale, an alabaster cream color which never seems to tan, and is completely devoid of freckles or blemishes, to her puzzlement, although she is grateful for this. Kelly’s hair is a light ginger blonde, and straight, and her eyes are a piercing blue grey, though rather pale. She looks like she would be a dancer, rather than the black belt in karate that she actually is.
Average Attire: Kelly normally wears a pair of black street pants with a small amount of white trim, especially down the sides, and which has several silver metal accents. Due to the design of the pants, they are slightly baggy, but just slightly, as they really fit her form rather nicely. Her t-shirt is light grey, with an intricate floral pattern that is made more noticeable by glitter and sequins sewn onto the pattern. Over this she wears a hot pink and black plaid zip up hooded jacket, and a black beret. On her feet she wears silver sequined Converse All-Star sneakers.
Formal Wear: Though not especially fond of attending parties, Kelly nevertheless does dress up for one. Her normal formal wear consists of a unique, strapless, gold dress which is shorter on one side, with a long flowing skirt on the other side. On her feet she wears delicate gold formal sandals with a thin, but rather low (1 inch) heel. The shoes slip on and off, and the top consists of two thin straps which crisscross and which are adorned with glitter. She also wears silver, dangly earrings, and a silver chain around her neck which compliments the earrings rather nicely.
Cold out: When the weather gets cold, Kelly wears warm, lace up boots with a faux fur lining, which keeps her feet warm, and which reach halfway up to her knees. Usually, this is enough to keep her warm, due to the fact that she really isn’t bothered by the cold until temperatures reach to below freezing, in which case she adds another jacket, which is more insulated, but not bulky. She’ll also wear a pair of pink, behind the head earmuffs, and black gloves, which still allow for a good deal of mobility, unlike the huge puffy kinds that render your fingers incapable of performing any delicate work with them.

~+ Personality +~

Likes:
-Citrus Fruits
-Mammalian Pokémon (eg. Buizel)
-Black clothing (not too much, though, it just goes well with her lighter skin color)
-Pokémon
-Frozen grapes (seedless, any color)
-Pokémon Contests

Dislikes:
-Unfrozen Green grapes (for unexplainable reasons)
-Being alone in a strange place, or being completely alone in general
-People who steal Pokémon to make a profit-People who mistreat their Pokémon
-People who care only about strong Pokémon, and don’t see every Pokémon’s potential

Fears:
-Dark, abandoned places (alleyways, corridors, etc.)
-Losing her Pokémon-Losing any person she has grown close to
-Ominous signs (she’s not really afraid of them, they just creep her out slightly)

Strengths:
-Black belt in karate
-Intelligent
-Strategic

Dream: Though Kelly is a decent battler, Pokémon coordination is really her passion, and she has wanted to be a great coordinator since she was young.

Personality: Loner might as well be Kelly’s middle name, because she mostly grew up alone, without any friends, and though she had her family, they were usually busy. Therefore, she is a very independent person, who often can do things herself without the help or assistance of those around her, not that there are people around her all the time to help her with something. She also happens to be very determined and strong willed, even though she knows when something is hopeless or impossible, or when something can be accomplished. However, like any other person, she has trouble sometimes distinguishing right from wrong, and may occasionally chose ‘Wrong,’ rather than ‘Right.’ Aside from her being a lone wolf, Kelly is often rather kind and polite, though somewhat awkward around large groups of people, which she is unaccustomed to. When around people, Kelly tends to be shy and quiet, due to her not really knowing what to say or do. Lately, though, she’s become a bit more outgoing, and a looser person, not staying in her own world all the time. Though there are many times when Kelly appears to be in dreamland, or drifting off above the clouds, she has a knack for knowing exactly what’s going on, which is, in some people’s eyes, rather unnerving and odd.

Collin Fey, Father, Age 40
Connor Fey, Brother, Age 12
Her Royal Highness Princess Ruby, Pet (Glameow), Age 5

Past: Kelly was born outside Fallarbor Town in the Hoenn Region, to Morgan and Collin Fey, where her parents were Pokémon Breeders and Therapists, and ran a sort of farm-ish thing, on which they took care of and worked with Pokémon, both breeding and taking care of them, as well as helping those who had suffered physical injury to recover. As their home, where they did all of this, was rather far from Fallarbor Town, Kelly pretty much grew up isolated, the only interaction she really had with others being when she attending her karate classes twice a week. However, due to her early life, she has had a lot of experience with Pokémon, and has helped her parents with working with them. As a result, she grew to love Pokémon, because when you grow up around them, a strong love for Pokémon is what’s bound to develop. She had her first battle experience when she and a Houndoom she was working with were attacked by a flock of Spearrow, and though she won the battle, she wouldn’t like to repeat the experience, even though she enjoyed the quick thinking and strategies that Pokémon battles required. However, she has always enjoyed attending a Pokémon Contests, and decided when she was 11 that Pokémon Coordination(?) was what she really wanted to do, and for the next three years she has held onto a dream of becoming a Pokémon Coordinator.

Chapter 1: Slateport City

‘Dear [Your Character’s Name],
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann.

Sincerely,’

You read the night before the day to meet the mysteries Professor Han. Too bad the name on the letter was unreadable; smudged. You are so excited about meeting Professor Hann. Or are you? The next day will be tough. You will have to make your way to Slateport City, which is far away in another region known as Hoenn. Once you get to Slateport you won’t know what is going on. You wonder if meeting this ‘Professor Hann’ girl is some kind of trick. Is it? Maybe you think it is, and decide not to go… Then what will happen once you do meet Professor Hann? How will you get to the underwater laboratory of Professor Hann? What Pokemon will Professor Hann give you? What will she tell you? And most of all why can’t you tell anyone? Hopefully most of your questions will be answered soon….

What to do on Chapter 1: Slateport City –
Explain your character going to bed the night before, or the dreams your character had, or why your character couldn’t fall asleep. Then explain them waking up, or finally seeing the sunrise signaling the start of the new day. Then talk about your characters journey to Slateport City. What does your character run into? Then end your post. [Remember, you don’t have any Pokemon yet.]

It was a pretty basic day in Dom's life. He had already went through his usual morning routine and was currently enjoying the fresh Kanto air that surrounded him. He was sitting in an off-white wooden chair on the porch of his house. The beautiful melodies that resonated from his guitar mingled with the air.

A familiar faced passed by where Dom was playing. It was a young boy, about 7 years old, and he adored hearing Dom play.

"Hey mister Dom!" The boy shouted out with an ecstatic tone.

"Hello, Robby!" Dom said with a hearty grin covering his face.

"What are you playing today, mister Dom?" Robby said with curiosity filling his eyes.

"Just a little thing I'm working on." Dom replied while playing the chorus to his song.

Robby listened to the smooth tones in awe. He had never heard such amazing music before in his life.

"It's beautiful, mister Dom.." Robby said quietly, making sure his voice wasn't loud enough for him to miss part of the song.

Dom abruptly stopped playing when he saw the postal worker arrive. He got up out of the chair, which let out a terrible creak, and headed down the driveway towards the mailbox.

"Afternoon, Dom!" The postal worker said politely.

"Afternoon!" Dom replied with a wave.

He thumbed through the mail; not really expecting to see anything for him.

"Bills, Bills, Junk Mail. Ooh, Pokemon Magazine!" Dom said cheerily, rolling up the magazine and stuffing it in his back pocket.

"Wait a minute,..What is this?" Dom thought aloud while looking at the mysterious envelope adressed to him.

It was labeled "R&R/TT" and had no return adress. It seemed like your basic mail; White envelope, basic stamps, nothing fancy at all.

Dom curiously opened the letter and read its contents

‘Dear Domonic Santino,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn’t normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

Sincerely,’

The name was unreadable, sadly. Dom read the letter over a few times to make sure he was reading it right.

"I'm requested to go to Slateport?! That's all the way in another reigon!" Dom said, shocked at the contents of the letter.

"I'll have to get first thing tomorrow! I surely don't wan't to miss out on this opprotunity!" Dom said while running back inside.

He rushed into the kitchen, where the rest of his family was enjoying lunch.

"Mom! Dad! Look at this!" Dom shouted, practically shoving the paper in his parent's faces.

Dom's father grabbed the letter and read it over carefully.

"Well, this is obviouslysomething very important; Dom. Are you sure you're up to it?" His father said in a curious tone.

"Of course! Who knows what will go on there?! It could very well be my big break!" Dom shouted ecstatically.

"Who knows...That's exactly the problem..." Dom's mother said worridly.

"Now, honey, if Dom want's to go then it's his decision." His father interjected. "Now son, DO you want to go?"

Dom breathed a heavy sigh. "...Yes, I do!" He replied. "I'll make sure to keep in touch and everything!"

"Ok son. If that is what you want. I'll order you a ticket to board the S.S. Anne tomorrow. It will take you straight to Slateport." His father said.

"Thank you!" Dom shouted out. "Thank you so much!" It was then that he realized his mother was crying. He slowly walked over and gave her a hug.

"Don't worry mom, I'll be alright" He said reassuringly.

"Oh...I'll miss you so much!" She said with a sob.

"I promise I'll keep in touch." Dom said again as he let go of his mother. He then headed up to his room to pack and wait for nightfall. Also to wait for the start of a new day; and the start of a new chapter unfolding in his life.

8:30 P.M.

It was a brisk and unusually chilly night. The sounds of all sorts of Pokemon could be heard in the night. It was already quite dark but the teenage girl of sixteen years found herself caught up in its starry beauty. She was named Sydney but was often called Syd by those who knew her well. Syd stared up into the night sky, thinking about what would come in the next day. She had received an invitation. It was a rather random invitation at that. It had seemed a bit suspicious but figured she had nothing to lose…well, hopefully anyways. The cold airy wind pricked against her face as she laid on the freshly cut grass; her long, dark brown wavy hair danced with the wind. She began to reach into her pocket again and took another glance at the letter that she had been given that afternoon.

‘Dear Sydney Ackerman,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. Sincerely,’

For some reason, the name of the author had been smudged somehow, much to her dismay. She wondered why she, of all people, would be asked something that seemed gravely important. Maybe her mother, Jean, had informed this Professor Hann of her? Sydney thought this may have been the case, but eventually shrugged off the notion as her mother probably would have confided in her of what was going to happen. Jean probably didn’t even have any knowledge of the situation in the first place, as Syd hadn’t mentioned anything about it to her. She had been contemplating on what she should do. Should she actually go to this seemingly underwater laboratory? What if it was really some sort of scam? It would be best to ask her mother of her thoughts on the issue. With these thoughts still on her young mind, she decided to walk back into the mid-sized home that only composed of her and her mother now, as her brother, Roman, had already left on his journey a few months ago.

“Mm…something smells good…” Syd remarked as soon as she walked into the brightly lit home.

The house was filled with many different paintings. Jean had always loved art and sculptures, which definitely showed as the home had plenty of them. Syd especially liked the painting of her favorite rock band, which she had gotten on a vacation from one of the malls located in Lilycove City. It wasn’t often that you would see a painting of a band, in addition to the band being one of your ultimate favorites, which Syd thought was a dream come true. Syd was always fascinated with music, and has tried on countless occasions to play her own instruments. She was moderately successful playing the drums, but had to quit because she was too busy with household chores. She finally approached the kitchen, in which her mother was also located. Jean was cooking some fried chicken with mashed potatoes to go along with it. Her mother was dressed in her normal light blue tank top with a blank skirt and black high heels. She wore her brown hair in a bun when she was cooking or doing some other type of chore, and sported some sparkly diamond earrings.

“Oh, hello sweetheart. Are you doing alright? Did you have fun outside with Melanie?” Jean questioned in her quiet, calming voice. Melanie was one of Syd’s good friends.

“Well, Melanie wasn’t home so I just decided to lay out and look up at the stars…I see you’re making your good old fried chicken…again…” Syd divulged in a somewhat sarcastic sounding tone.

“Yeah…I haven’t had much time to go out and do the grocery shopping. …Is something wrong, dear? You don’t sound like your normal self. Did something happen?” Jean asked gently.

“No. I just…I have something to give you. I was going to tell you earlier, but…I just wanted to think on it myself first. To see what I thought on the matter.” Syd replied as she handed Jean the opened envelope with the letter inside.

Jean took a long look at the letter. A very long look at it. After what seemed like half an hour, she looked back up at Syd and put her hand on her head while letting out a large sigh. She obviously didn’t take Syd’s choice of giving the letter to her so late, well.

“So…it took you this long to give something this important to me? When are you even leaving to go to this place? Slateport isn’t as close as you may think.” Jean affirmed her.

“Well…I think I’m going to go have to go tomorrow. Don’t worry though, I’m going to go the other way to Slateport. You know, through Oldale Town, then Route 110…” Syd answered her, her voice got a bit quieter and a bit less confident sounding towards the end of her statement.

“…” Jean was at a loss for words and just rolled her eyes while turning back to the fried chicken and mashed potatoes that she had been cooking.

“I knew you’d understand! I’m just gonna…you know…go to my room now. And…pack!” Syd exclaimed with a weird looking smile on her face as she said that.

Jean just shook her head and walked over to the table to set it for dinner.

@ Army - Great post.
@ Christina - Also a great post

Grey watched as night slowly turned to day in the small town of Sangem, Sinnoh. He yearned badly for all of his musical instruments left at home: his piano, both of his saxophones (his alto and tenor), his violin, and harp. All he had been able to take was his small pennywhistle. He quietly blew a few tones into the small recorder-like instrument. Soon the shadows of the buildings around him grew larger and larger untill it was almost too dark for Grey to see. He got off of the step he was sitting on and once again went to look in the music store before it closed. Sparkling saxophones and dazzling flutes lined the neatly tiered shelves in their small cardboard boxes. He was in the woodwind isle, with the many single and double reed instruments. He continued walking and made it to the string isle. It was divided into two sections: plucked and bowed. He could see the large box which held a harp, and also the small box holding violins. Grey skipped over most of the percussion instruments, only stopping once to look at the piano with its beautiful white and black keys. He played a small tune before being yelled at by the store owner.

"Can't you read?" he asked angrily, "Anyways it is time to close!" the man pushed Grey out of the door. There was a Chatot sitting on the mans shoulder, and a Loudred at his side.

Grey was once again back in the cold darkness left by the sun. He finaly decided that it was time to go to the Pokecenter to find a place to sleep. He walked in to the red building and was greeted by an always cheerful Nurse Joy.

"Hello, how may I help you?" the nurse said.

"I just need a place to stay for a night or so,"

"Okay, please just sign in right here," she pushed a small clipboard onto the desk. He signed his name, Grey C. Rose, befor leaving for a room.

He soon found one and went inside. He looked at the clock which read 11:00. It was late, and he was tired. He quickly fell asleep. Soon he found himself on the floor with the sun shining into his eyes. He was wide awake soon, and immediately looked at the clock. Now it read 7:00. It was a quick night for Grey. He quickly made the bed, and started to leave when he saw a small white envelope. Writted on the envelope was , R&R/TT. Grey noticed no return adress, but opened it anyways. It was clearly for him, as it read:

Dear Grey Christopher Rose,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn’t normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. Grey was unable to read the name which was signed, which was unfortunate.

Slateport, aye?, Grey thought, That is in Hoenn if I do believe... I must leave soon. Grey quickly gathered his things which wan't much: a backpack and a letter. He signed out of the PokeCenter, and went outside. Before he left for Slateport he went back to the music shop for one last look. He walked up to the old man and held up his pennywhistle.

"Is there anything that I can trade this for?" Grey asked.

The man put on his glasses and held it up about an inch from his nose. "Hmm..." he said, "Chatot, Loudred. How much would you say this is worth?" The Pokemon looked at the instrument.

"Chat, chat chat, tot!" said the musical bird.

"Loud, d drid!" the Loudred said.

The man cleaned off the mouthpiece and played a tune. The Pokemon jupmed in happyness, clearly glad with the music the instrument produced. The man again said 'Hmm' and went into the back. He came back with an old, greatly-used alto saxophone.

"I can give you this," he said, gesturing to the saxophone, "and also eighty dollars."

Grey brightened up. He quickly traded, then asked how much the saxophone was worth.

"Umm, I'd say around one hundred dollars."

"Okay, thanks!" Grey said rushing out the door. He quickly opened the saxophone case. He put the reed in the mouthpiece, the mouthpiece on the neck, and finaly the neck on the body. He attached the neckstrap and played a small, happy tune. Then he quickly put it up and went off to find a way to Slateport City.

November 18th, 2008, 07:50 PM
The warm morning sun shone brightly through Daniel’s open window, the heat woke him from his slumber and caused the thoughts of yet another boring day in Lavaridge Town fill his mind. He moaned as he rolled onto his back, his eyes half-open and staring dead at the ceiling, “I hate the morning...” he mumbled under his breath, before sliding out of bed and letting his feet hit the cold hardwood flooring in his room.

Daniel yawned and slowly dragged himself over to his dresser, which had his outfit for the day already sitting upon it. He scoffed quietly, his grandmother must have set it out for him... she knows what he likes to wear even if she hates it. He grabbed the clothing and exited his room, making his way down the hall and into the bathroom... closing the door behind him.

Fifteen minutes later, Daniel exited the bathroom and stretched... he was now washed and fully dressed for the day, save for one vital item. He briskly walked back into his room and grabbed his trademark white hat of off the side table next to his bed; he put it on and adjusted it before making his way downstairs.

In the kitchen, Daniel’s grandparents were no-where to be seen... then he remembered, they had told him the night before that they were going to be spending the day at the hot springs. He shrugged and went about making breakfast, but something on the counter caught his attention. It was a letter addressed to him; on the front it read Rawltz & Rawltz Co. He had no idea who or what that was, so he just ripped it open and began to read.

‘Dear Daniel Lupe,

Daniel was unable to make out who it was from, but that wasn’t what Daniel was confused about... he had no idea who Professor Hann or what Rawltz & Rawltz Co. was. He folded up the letter and shoved it into his back pocket; there was nothing better to do in Lavaridge... so Daniel decided it would be “fun” to just check out Slateport. He’d been there once or twice before, but never for something so... secretive.

The teenage boy packed up a few things into a white messenger’s bag; he slung it over the shoulder and left the house, making sure to lock up after him. He didn’t think to leave a note for his grandparents; he couldn’t be gone for that long... right?

OOC: Short-ish post. I didn't want to write too much as this is just an introduction.

Silence. No hectic travelers, no Pokemon battles, nothing. There was no movement except for the wind shaping the grass and waves. The calm area of the Dragon's Den benefitted the girl well. She sat up and noticed the blue-haired figure emerge from the small path's darkness. The blue-haired figure, a woman, perhaps, walked up to the girl.

"By any chance you wouldn't happen to be Gale Sapphire, would you now?" she asked in a stern tone. The girl, Gale, realized that she was talking to Clair, gym leader of Blackthorn City and sister to Lance, the acclaimed "Dragon Master". She stood up and nodded quietly.

"I am, I am," she muttered. Clair then reached into her pocket and pulled out what seemed to be an envelope.

"For you," she said quietly, shoving the letter in Gale's hands. She walked away silently, leaving Gale by herself. Gale ripped the envelope open with her teeth and took out what seemed to be a neatly written letter, except for a smudge.

"'Dear Gale Sapphire,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann.

Sincerely, |||||||||'?" Gale read. "Oh, wonder who sent it. But... Slateport? Hoenn? I've never heard of either. But from the sound of it, I can travel by ship... But I don't have a ticket..." She looked around the Dragon's Den, then sneaked inside the nearby building, where some sages (or maybe they were monks) practiced some sort of meditation. Looking around for the slightest bit of paper, Gale had no luck whatsoever. Deciding that she'd have to leave the dark, moist terrain of the den, she calmly exited through the path leading to the den and into the light.

Oh, how it burned! It had been so long since Gale had last emerged from the Dragon's Den. She had liked its soothing, yet haunting silence, and how there was seldom movement. But she had to go to Slateport, just to find out what was going on. She noticed a man with spiky red hair enter what she believed to be the Blackthorn gym. Following after this man, Gale went inside. At once she felt a sudden blast of heat, and all around her was magma, popping and flowing. Shuddering, Gale continued further into the building, where she then tripped and fell right into the middle of two people.

"Well now, what do we have here?" the spiky-haired man said. "Perhaps another challenger, Clair?" Gale shook her head.

"Forgive me, Lance (I assume I'm right?), Clair, but I just happened to notice you [Lance] enter this building. I'm really sorry, but... I just wanted to know if any of you had tickets for the S.S. Aqua!" Gale sputtered out the last sentence. The two siblings looked at each other, then laughed.

"My girl, of COURSE we have tickets! After all, we ARE the greatest, are we not sister?" Clair nodded and smiled. Egotists... Gale thought. Lance then reached into a small pouch dangling from his pocket and pulled out a crumpled up ticket. "The ship leaves today in Olivine, so you better not be late!" Gale took the ticket and sighed.

"Thanks. I'll have to find a way to get there, though..." Clair smiled again.

"Come on out, Dragonite!" Clair shouted. A large yellow dragon-like Pokemon appeared, and Gale gawked at its magnificent stature.

"Dragonite, take this young girl to Olivine." The Dragonite nodded, and immediately picked up Gale with its small hands.

"W-w-wait!" Gale called as the Dragonite began exiting the building slowly. "Are you sure this is alright?"

"Don't worry," Clair stated from below. "Dragonite will only carry you there, then drop you carefully onto the ground, then fly back here. He will make sure no harm comes to you. Happy sailing!" Out the door and into the clear blue sky. What more could happen today? Gale asked herself.

Sorry it took so long for me to get my post up, I won't bother with an explanation because it's up now, so, all good?

~+ In Character +~

The night outside Fallarbor Town was cool, the moon and stars obscured by the clouds that so frequently hung over the area, volcanic ash rained slowly down from the sky, due to the town being in close proximity to Mt. Chimney, an active volcano, which constantly spewed volcanic ash and steam, though it has not been known to have erupted, at least, not in any records. There were few houses in this area, though in a particular one, in the privacy of her bedroom, a perplexed girl by the name of Kelly Natasha Fey was reading a strange letter that had been sent in an envelope on which was printed only her address, with no return address or any other writing.

Dear Kelly Natasha Fey,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in SlateportCity, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn’t normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the OceanicMuseum located in East Slateport.

Sincerely,

Kelly squinted at the page, there might have been a name there, but it was horribly smudged and impossible to read, this was her second time reading the letter. She had to admit that the letter creeped her out somewhat. She had no clue who had sent it to her, and she was pretty sure she hadn’t met them before, and here she was with a letter sent from someone she didn’t know and has never met. Peculiar to say the least. However, along with her misgivings, she felt some excitement, she had wanted to become a trainer, this could be her chance. She knew her parents had already seen the letter prior to them giving it to her for her to read. Afterward, after her parents had decided that she could, indeed, go to Slateport to meet Professor Hanns, she had packed her belongings into a bag and was prepared to leave the following morning.

However, she didn’t really want to think about all of this right now, and flopped down limply upon the covers of her bed, knowing that this may very well be her last night sleeping in it for quite some time. Crawling in under the covers, she pulled them up to her chin and curled up. In moments, her breathing slowed down somewhat, and became deeper and more peaceful, and she drifted off from reality into a restful sleep.

All too soon, it seemed that it was time to wake up, and as she opened her eyes she saw that sunlight was streaming in through her window. Kelly laughed upon seeing the sparkling golden rays, more often than not, the sky was grey with volcanic ash, which rained down like snow. For a brief moment today, though, the sun would shine. She guessed she wasn’t the only one, for she could hear the pleasantly surprised exclamations of her mother, probably commenting on the unusual moment when the sun actually shone above FallarborTown.

Breakfast and goodbyes were far from the usual, in fact, the breakfast was unusually long, and Kelly wondered if it was ever going to end, fearing she might miss the bus that would take her to MauvilleCity, so that she could board the next bus that would take her to Slateport. However, it wasn’t that the breakfast was taking forever, it was the clock seemed to be moving more slowly than normal, and Kelly found herself, more than once, glancing anxiously at the slowly ticking hand of the clock. Finally, she slung her backpack over her shoulder, and after a series of hugs and an exchange of words with her family, stepped out of the house, waving at her mother and father as they seemed to grow smaller and smaller.

In fifteen minutes, she had arrived at the bus stop, where she should be catching her bus, surely enough, five to seven minutes later, a blue and white bus pulled to a stop. It was rather small for a bus, and on its side, written in cursive, but decipherable, lettering, were the words, Earthen Comfort Travel. Strange name, was Kelly’s first thought, but if Comfort Travel, were part of the name, then surely they wouldn’t have those horrible plastic seats. That was actually a good thing, though to double check before she got on the bus, she gazed at the digital sign on it, which spelled out in large, green lettering, MauvilleCity. So it was this bus after all, and she followed the other passengers, or rather, the other passenger, as there was only one person boarding, onto the bus. Into a modern looking aluminum, or maybe it was stainless steel container she dropped the bus fare, and then chose a seat on the bus. Comfort Travel really did live up to its name, she noticed, staring around at the pale tan seats, all of which were cushioned and roomy enough, and bigger than those of the normal buses. With a noise much like someone exhaling, the bus began to move, slowly at first, though it soon picked up speed. Kelly gazed out of the window, a feeling of exhilaration spreading through her, causing her to smile involuntarily. Today was the day that she became a Pokemon Trainer, somehow, she couldn’t let that thought go...

The day started out bright yet fair. She didn’t have any money to buy her own bus ticket to Slateport City, and she knew her mother likely didn’t want her to leave, but refused to admit it. After saying her goodbyes, she started the long tread to Slateport City. The letter specifically said to be at the laboratory at 7:00 PM, which would be next to impossible walking on foot. She started to lose faith in her making it to Slateport now, as it was already almost 9 in the morning, and it would take an hour or so to get just to Oldale Town. As she began to turn back, an idea suddenly sparked in her head.

+ I could use my bicycle! + Syd mused, as she started to make a run back towards her house.

Syd was a pretty fast runner and participated in tons of marathons that were held in Petalburg City. She never won, but she did come close to winning one year when she was around the age of 13. Running wasn’t really a priority for her, just a hobby. Her legs were very muscular and toned because of it though. She finally neared her home, and noticed her mother working alone in the front lawn, trimming the bushes.

“What are you doing back? You need to hurry. Slateport City isn’t exactly minutes away you know.” Jean remarked, almost sounding a bit cynical to Sydney.

“No time, I’ve got to hurry. Slateport City isn’t exactly minutes away you know!” Syd subconsciously responded, quickly grabbing her bike that was still perched on the side of the house. “Bye mom!”

“…goodbye dear…” Jean responded in a saddened tone.

___

4:00 PM.

The sun was still beaming high above her as she quickly raced towards Slateport City, not once making a stop to take a break, not even to eat, though occasionally she did ride with one hand and drink a bottle of water with the other. She passed Oldale Town a few hours ago, and was halfway to Slateport City now. She was no doubt getting tired but knew that if she stopped now, she wouldn’t be able to start back up again. Her goal was to get there by 6:00 PM, if not earlier. It wouldn’t be too much longer, she reassured herself.

“You can do it, Sydney, you can do it…” She uttered in between strong bouts of panting.

As she continued to move her legs down upon the pedals of the bike, she began to have flashbacks of her older brother, Roman, and his ruthless, hurtful taunting. He had left only a few months before, and it is assumed that he is already near Lavaridge Town, attempting to defeat the gym leader, Flannery as that was where he was last located when she last spoke with him a week or so ago. Roman always doubted Syd’s abilities as a possible future trainer, stating that she wouldn’t be able to handle the “manly outdoors,” like he supposedly would. Sydney vowed to defeat him in battle one day when she acquired Pokemon of her own and was actually tough enough to take him on. She was excited to finally receive her first Pokemon, something she should have done 6 years ago but missed out on the opportunity numerous times before.

“I…I can’t… do it…I can’t go on anymore…” She muttered rather dramatically, and fell off her bike in front of a large arch that read, “Slateport City.”

She laid there for a few minutes until she finally opened her tired looking eyes once more and acknowledged that she had at last made it to Slateport City. It was 5:30 PM now, about a half an hour before her goal of 6:00 PM. After so much pedaling, she definitely deserved some rest and relaxation. Right now though, she had to locate the Oceanic Museum.

“Hm… the Oceanic Museum…in East Slateport. So I must be sort of close by then since I came in from the north end. Maybe I’ll ask this old lady.” Syd suggested to herself as she walked towards an old woman sitting on a bench.

“Ooh, look, a Pelipper! Do you want some bread, Pelipper?” The old lady asked as she looked over to where Sydney stood.

“Uh…I’m not a Pelipper. I just wanted to know where the Oceanic Museum is.” Syd asked with a disturbed look that crossed her face.

“It’s right over there, to our left, Mr. Pelipper. Here’s some bread for you to eat too!” The elderly woman replied while throwing some bread on the ground.

Sydney sighed and just walked over towards the Oceanic Museum with the letter still clenched tightly in her hands.

The morning came faster than Dom expected. The shimmering rays of light from the sun beamed down onto Dom, who was still asleep in his bed. The sunlight made him stir slightly; he awoke after several moments of stirring.

Dom slowly opened his sleep worn eyes and peered at the clock that lay next to his bed. The fluorescent green numbers read a clear 8:30 AM.

Dom rubbed his eyes and slowly inched out of bed. As his feet hit the ground he paused a moment to stretch his sleepy limbs.

He then stood up and made his way to the bathroom. The room was hot and steamy; his mother had probably just gotten out of the shower. Dom wiped the condensation off the mirror and grabbed his toothbrush. He watched himself in the mirror as he brushed. He was thinking. Thinking about what today's mysteries would bring.

After the hygenical part of his morning, Dom headed down the wooden staircase and into the kitchen. By this time he was fully awake, and ready to begin his journey to Slateport.

He hastily made himself a bowl of cereal and scarfed it down quicker than he made it. He then bolted back upstairs and into his room. He grabbed his ticket, guitar and backpack and was ready to shove off.

But before he did, he walked into his parents’ room and approached his mother. He gave her a tight hug and gave his goodbye. His father extended his hand for a hand shake; but instead got a hug from his son. He gave another farewell and told his parents he loved them. It was then that he could finally begin his journey.

Dom exited his house and took in a big breath of fresh air. He gave the noble purple town one final glance as he made his way to Vermillion.

Lavender to Vermillion wasn't that much of a journey. About 15 minutes, tops. Dom sprinted as fast as he could through the gates to Saffron and headed south towards the Saffron/Vermillion gate.

As he passed through into the bright city he saw many things that caught his eye. But now was not a time for distraction; he had a boat to catch!

The shipyard was big and smelled of Remoraid and Krabby. Dom made his way to the cruise liner; the S.S.Anne. He flashed his ticket and boarded the boat.

"Room 128...128..." Dom muttered. He was in search of his room on the ship.

"Aha! Found it!" He stated with a triumphant tone. He opened the door and threw his backpack to the ground.

There wasn't much to the room; a bed, dresser, trash can, a loudspeaker in the corner and a window. Dom sat on the bed and began to feel the motion of the ocean.

"Ugh..*gag* I..don't feel so good..." Dom muttered as he swayed with the rocking of the ship.

It wasn't long before the seasickness sat in and Dom vomited into the trash can.

"Ugh...Just wonderful...” He said while he stuck a piece of gum into his mouth; to rid of the taste and smell of vomit.

"Maybe if I try to get some sleep..." He muttered as he tried to venture into sleep.

...
~*6:15 PM*~
...

Dom actually managed to drift away the rest of the cruise in his dreams. After an enjoyable nap, an unexpected announcement from the loudspeaker awoke Dom.

"We have reached our destination in SlateportCity! Thank you for traveling on the S.S.Anne!"

Dom bolted up from the shock of the announcement. He quickly grabbed his belongings and ventured out into the foreign land of Hoenn.

The ship had docked near the middle of the right side of the bustling city. Dom stood for a moment in awe at the new experience. He quickly snapped out of it and remembered the task at hand.

He looked around for anything that could be the museum. It was then that he noticed, about 50 yards away, a sign that read:

SlateportCity Oceanic Museum

He quickly sprinted in that direction and arrived at the museum in a flash. He noticed another person standing there. A girl, about his age. She was dressed in practically the same attire Dom was in, color wise. Dom assumed she was here to visit the museum; as he didn't think it at all possible that she had also received the very same letter he had.

Dom realized he had another 40 or so minutes to wait; so he sat down against the museum and pulled out the letter and put it in his lap, for safe keeping. He then swung his guitar around to the front of his body and played a soft tune to pass the time.

This would be the longest 40 minutes of Dom's life...

It took a quick 15 minutes to reach the S.S. Aqua, then about three hours or so to get to Slateport. Upon arriving, Gale noticed the many men staring at her, awestruck. She groaned and walked off, pretending that she didn't notice any of them. I'm glad I'm not 18 yet, she thought, else I'd probably be raped in my first night out in society. As she exited the building, she noticed some festival-like music playing, and she assumed they probably weren't going to hold a festival. If they were, the boat probably would've been more packed. Aside from the music, Gale noticed a marketplace just southwest of where she had came from. She figured it'd be best to go there until further notice.

The marketplace was quite full of people, but Gale didn't mind; it didn't make her (not to mention her chest) conspicuous. Looking around, she heard a vendor call out "Accessories! Get 'cher nice accessories for yer Pokemans!" Eager to see what the pitiful merchant was selling, Gale walked on over to his table and looked at the items he had laid out. She immediately noticed a set of thick gold bangles, each embedded with rubies all around. She picked them up and examined them carefully. Sure enough, they were real. The merchant looked at her with a curious look, and Gale returned the gaze.

"So, you have yer eye on those bangles, eh?" he asked Gale. "Well, pretty miss, I'll let 'cha know somethin'. That there happens to be a set of Power Lenses. Yes, yes, you may have seen 'em purple an' blue, but I'll tell ya this: This rare pair was used by a king long ago. He used them to increase 'is power, and I tell ya, 'is power was mighty raised! So, whaddaya say? Fer a pretty gal like you, they're free!" Awestruck, Gale thanked the man and continued to look at the items. "Now, y'all just tell me if ya want any more items!" he exclaimed, turning to his next set of customers.

Continuing to look at the items, Gale then noticed what seemed to be a metronome. Under it was a label saying "Metronome: It raises the power of a move if that move is used consecutively." Gale picked it up, and immediately the merchant motioned to her, also applying the fact that it was free. Smiling, she put the items into her pockets, and walked off to another stand.

This stand seemed to have all sorts of knick-knacks regarding Slateport. Overall, nothing seemed to be of interest... Except there was this beautiful yet strangely-designed ocarina-like instrument just sitting there. Figuring she could use the metronome to practice with it, Gale walked up to the vendor, an elderly lady this time.

"Excuse me," she asked, "but how much is that ocarina-like instrument over there?" She pointed at the object, and immediately the woman's eyes grew large.

"Ah, you have an interest in the Azure Flute, eh? Well, I hate to disappoint ya, but it is an ancient artifact, and although I'm selling it for cheap, you can only use the item for its true purpose on a carving in Mt. Coronet, which is located in Sinnoh." Gale had no clue where Sinnoh was, but didn't care whatsoever if it held a special purpose or not.

"Well, then how much is it? I don't care if I can use it for its real purpose or not, just as long as I can please people with its beautiful music." The lady smiled at her, and held up five fingers.

"5000 yen will do, thank you," she replied. Gale immediately dove into one of her other pockets and pulled out a purse containing money she had found on the ground in the Dragon's Den and on the S.S. Aqua. Sure enough, she had over 10000 yen, and handed half of it to the woman. The woman then carefully handed her the flute, and Gale waved a "goodbye" to her and continued on.

The final stop of the day for Gale was the beach. Being able to see such tranquil waters was all Gale wished to do. When she arrived, it wasn't crowded like she had expected, but still had its share of people. Sitting down on one of the towels and umbrellas conveniently placed for anyone's use, she stared at the quiet waters. The waves moved calmly back and forth, a motion she wasn't used to seeing, as the Dragon's Den's water didn't move as fast, though it had its share of whirlpools. Sighing, Gale doze off, for she was worn out from her hectic day...

(Just FYI, the Power Lenses are real; the vendor is telling the truth except for the king part; they were actually designed to be made in different colors by the creators. As you may know, a Power Lens lowers the Pokemon's Speed, but raises their Sp. Atk., which will come in handy with Terra, as her lacking stat is Sp. Atk. Gale will also use them as an accessory for contests. Just one final note, the Azure Flute, or the "Heaven's Pipe", the tool used to summon Arceus, will only be used as a musical instrument. Gale will in no way call Arceus, especially seeing how she is in Hoenn and not Sinnoh X_X If you want me to change any of this, let me know.

And I understand she does not have a Pokemon yet, but she chose the lenses for FASHION. Since she likes shiny things =P and as for the Metronome and Azure Flute, she likes making music, and thus both will come in handy.)

Okay, I'm back, sorry about the wait. I hope my post will at least make up for it. I'm really sorry about keeping everyone waiting.

~+ In Character +~

The blue and white bus groaned and screeched as it came to a stop at the next bus stop, about twenty minutes into the journey. Though her head was spinning with a whirl of thoughts that entered and left her mind at random intervals, Kelly still sat relaxed, but alert in her seat. Her limbs ached with a desire to get up and do something, though she ignored the impulse and sat as still as ever. In fact, it was quite difficult to tell whether she was breathing or not.

Passengers exited and entered the cool, air conditioned interior of the bus, though Kelly stubbornly ignored each and every one of them, save for a young woman with dark shades and a dark brown trenchcoat did stir her curiosity and interest. It was mainly her appearance, which was, in itself, almost exactly alike to a character in a mystery movie that she had watched some time ago. However, even then, she only glanced briefly at the person with a blank look upon her face before turning her face, devoid of any expression, back towards the window, staring at the scenery outside, though not quite taking it in.

Kelly had always been a thinker, able to sit still for long intervals of time without needing to get up and do something, yet occasionally, there were times when she felt especially restless, and would be forced to restrain herself from leaping out of her seat and running three or so laps across the room she happened to be in, or doing jumping jacks for two minutes to shake the restlessness out of her body. This happened to be one of the days where she was extremely restless, just the day, too, she had thought over and over again in a tone of irritated sarcasm, the day that she had to sit through a four or so hour journey to Slateport City. Finally, she felt that she could bear it no longer, and as the bus once again pulled to a stop in a bustling, wide awake town, she stood up, walked to the front of the bus, and returned to her seat, settling down. No one seemed to have taken the slightest notice of her, though that was just fine, in her opinion, not being much of an attention lover.

---+---+---+---+---

The sun was blazing high in the sky as the bus pulled into Slateport City with a screeching of tires. A small sigh escaped Kelly's only slightly parted lips as she stood, slinging her bag carelessly over her shoulder, and nearly bumping into a rather rotund woman in a pink, flowery dress, with skirts that brushed her ankles, as she exited the bus. Unlike in Fallarbor Town, the citizens of Slateport seemed to be accustomed to the sunshine, for there were no exclaimations of surprise, no laughs of delight at the sight of the bright rays glistening off of the crystalline waters of the sea that was just visable from where the bus station-thing was.

Warm air brushed Kelly's skin lightly as she stepped out from under the roof of the bus station into the open air and sunshine. She lifted her face to the sky and spread her arms, careful not to bump into anybody. Though she knew her behavior must be attracting strange looks, especially from the long term residents of Slateport City, she didn't care at the moment. For them, sunshine was a normal thing, for her, it was a wonder and something that was deserving of a bright exclamation and a light laugh. Either that, or it was just her.

Kelly glanced around. After the initial excitement of finally arriving in Slateport, she wasn't quite sure where she was to go. Maybe I'll just go where everyone else is going. She decided at last, after a few moments of thinking, there seemed to be a large group of people heading for the center of the city, makes sense, she would go to the center of the city as well.

"Ah..." A sharp intake of breath as she saw the bustling marketplace, set in a large, roomy square in the center of the city. However, the sight that next greeted her eyes was even more marvelous than her first glimpse of the Slateport marketplace. It was a violin, make of beautifully carved maple, with a one piece pack, and covered with a translucent varnish. She didn't know how she could recognize this all from one glance, though it was on a stand, making it easy to see the details, and she had so often visited the stringed instrument shop a short walk away from her house. Shame that it would be too large for her to carry, especially along with the case. These restrictions still did not stop her for asking for a look at the instrument. She cradled it in her arms, gazing longingly at it all the while, before thanking the man who had shown it to her profusely and returning it to the stall owner with a wistful look in her eyes.

Well, the marketplace was all very nice and bright and everything, but it really wasn't what Kelly wanted to find. She was more interested in who Professor Hann was, and as she sat down on a bench, pulled out her letter, rereading it with a familiar puzzled look that crossed her face briefly, darkening its features before it returned to its normal state. Her brow was furrowed just slightly with curiousity as she folded the letter neatly into a four by four inch square, which she then tucked quickly back into her pocket, pulling her legs up and curling up into a ball on the bench, quite out of sight of everyone else.

Grey looked at his map of the Pokemon World on his old, worn out PokeDex. Up at the top were Kanto and Johto, right next to each other. To the left of Kanto was Orre, and the right of Johto was Fiore and Almia. At the bottom were Hoenn, the Sevii Islands, and Sinnoh. Once Grey located Sandgem Town on the Sinnoh section of the map, he traced out a line of how he could get to Slateport. He already could tell that it would be a long journey. Grey put up the map, and started walking to the small beach south of Sandgem. He had called a friend earlier to come with his boat so he could have a form of transportation.

"Hey," Grey said.

"Hey! Long time no see!" said his friend, named Walt. "You know I wont be able to get you all the way to Slateport in this hunk of junk!"

"Yeah, I know," Grey said.

"Hop in, if you're ready," he said as Grey jumped into the small boat.

"Tell me again why you need to get to Slateport?"

"Uhh, family thing,"

"Sure..." Walt said as he turned on the engine. "Off we go!"

What Grey figured was a few hours later, they finally reached Three Island. The two walked onto the deck, and into the small town. Walt had already hooked his small boat onto the slightly larger one that would take them to Cinnabar Island. After stretching their legs, they boarded the larger boat. Grey soon found himself asleep. He didn't have many dreams as he never does. Soon they had made it to Cinnabar Island and were greeted by Blaine.

"Hello!" he said in a crackly voice, "Its been so long since someone from a different region came! Sinnoh, aye?"

"Yup," said Grey and Walt, in unison.

"Any Pokemon?" said the excied gym leader.

"Sorry, no. But I think Walt might have some," Grey said.

"Yup, but I'm sure they are no match to yours." Walt said.

"Naw, don't say that they just need more practice!" Blaine said.

"I guess, well I think we have to be leaving soon. Grey here has to be at Slateport for a 'family thing'," Walt said.

"Ahh, then. Well you'll be off!" Blaine said as the two walked away.

The two walked to the same boat that had brought them. They would have to pay extra though, because they were getting the boat off the normal route.

"To Slateport, please!" Walt said, handing the 'captian' a wad of money. Once again on the boat, Grey fell asleep again. Once Walt could see Hoenn on the horizon, he woke Grey.

"Almost there," he said.

"Good, I guess," Grey said nodding off again. Before Grey knew it they were in the Slateport docks. Grey was wide awake, and ran to the Oceanic Museam. He burst in and said, "Sorry I'm late!"

Wes woke late that morning, he hadn't slept well after the last nights thunderstorm which kept him up rather late. Wes went downstairs and thought out what he should do over the wekend. But, as usual of course, he could not think of anything to do. He went into the kitchen and had some jam on toast for breakfast then cleared up and watched some television.
Once Wes' show had ended he left to go out to the light house and spend some time alone and watch the battles raging on in the ocean outside Sunnyshore City.
As he went outside, grabbed the newspaper from out of the letterbox, but as he did, another item fell out, a letter in fact. Wes read the address, he couldn't make out what it said and assumed that the letter box had a leak and the letter had gotten wet after last nights storm. But this couldn't have been the case, as the newspaper seemed perfectly dry.

Wes went back inside and opened the letter, it read.

Dear Wes Christy,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann.

Sincerely,

Wes could not make out the name on the letter.

Wes thought to himself, 'Who would be writing to me? I don't have any contacts outside Sunnyshore City, let alone outside Sinnoh. How do these people know me? Who is Professor Han?'

'Maybe I should tell Volkner, he might be able to make some sense out of it' he thought.

But as Wes read through the letter again, he noticed it specifically told not to tell anybody.

'Whoever these people are, they obviously aren't the people to mess around with.' Wes thought

Wes decided that he would make a few calls today and try to figure out how he would manage to get to Slateport.

After many hours calling around, he found a man named Mr Reilly who would be able to get him to Sootopolis City in Hoenn, and from there he could buy a ticket to get a submarine to Slateport.

Wes hardly slept that night, in fact Wes was surprised he slept at all, he had so much on his mind, so many questions, like.

'What if it's a trap and these people want me dead, for whatever reason they have?'
'What if Mr Reily can't get me there, will they come for me?'

Just to name a few.

Finally, at 3 AM he managed to get his eyes shut and drift off to sleep...

OOC~ Wow... did I write all this?

IC~
Wes woke very early that morning, he had been having nightmares all night. He tried to remember the dream he had been haven't but couldn't really work it out, though he remembered a shady and quite bulky man had something to do with it. He went down to the kitchen and made his breakfast, and as he sat down to the table, he saw and remembered the letter, and that he had to make his way to Slate port City by the end of the day.

Wes quickly ate his breakfast and pulled o some clothes, he wore a pair of old jeans and one of his new t-shirts with Pink & Blue diagonal stripes across it.

'If I'm going to die, I might as well be comfortable.' thought Wes.

He quickly regretted thinking that, as it scared him a lot to think what these people could be up to.
He left the house at 8 AM, very tired and scared.
He left to go meet Volkner at the GYM, as Volkner was going to accompany him along Route 222, to make sure no harm came to him, or at least for now...

'When Wes arrived at the GYM he noticed that it wasn't even open yet. Wes decided that he should wait for Volkner rather than attempt the journey along Route 222 alone.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, Volkner arrived at the Sunnyshore GYM.

'Well, aren't you an early bird eh?' Volkner said jokingly.

'Oh, Yeah I guess so...' said Wes.

'So can I ask, why are you heading over to Slateport Wes?' asked Volkner.

'Oh umm... I'm heading over there to stay with my cousins for a while.' lied Wes.

'I see. Well, I'll just pop inside for a moment to gather some stuff, then we can head of ok?' said Volkner.

'Sure thing' said Wes.

Volkner opened up the GYM and turned on the huge floodlights to display a huge maze of electrical switches and wires.
Wes had seen it before, but not when it was empty, there were usually battles raging on whilst Wes was there, when it was empty it seemed so much bigger.

Volkner came back out a minute later, and after him came his prized Electivire.

'I assume your ok with ol' Vire coming long with us?' Volkner said.

'How could I not be?' said Wes jokingly.
After all Wes was very glad Volkner had chosen Electivire to accompany them, Electivire would just shrug off anything that tried to stop them.

So Wes and Volkner set off to the Sunnyshore Gate and out onto Route 222.

Wes came out of the gate nervously, as he saw many trainers eyeing him.

'Hey you! Skinny!' said a very large man, Wes presumed that he was on of the local Sailors.
Wes despised the Sailors, for their huge ego's and their macho man attitude.

'You a trainer skinny?' asked the large Sailor.

'Err umm...' Wes didn't know what to say, he was scared. SO much in fact he was thinking twice about going to Slateport.

'What say we have a battle right here Skinny!' said the Sailor boomingly, as if to gain everybody's attention.

And gain attention he did, everybody was staring at Wes.

'I - I'm not a trainer' said Wes nervously.

'Well then' said the Sailor.

The Sailor had a chuckle to one of the fisherman that was sitting a few meters away from him.
The Sailor turned back to Wes, he then brought out his obviously prized Pokemon.

He sent out a Machamp, which Wes was terrified of.

Although terrified, Wes did all that he could think to do - he insulted the sailor.

'So who weighs more? Your Machamp or You?' said Wes, and he quickly regretted it, as the Sailor got very angry and his Machamp started to advance on him.

Luckily at that moment, Volkner came out of the gate, though Wes didn't notice. as he couldn't even see the sun past the huge Machamp.

Machamp raised his arms in the air, as if ready to strike Wes. But at that moment a huge bolt of lightning struck Machamp and it fell to the ground, just in front of Wes.

'What! Who the hell was that?' boomed the sailor angrily.

'Oh sorry, I could have sworn that your Machamp was about to attack an innocent young man.' said Volkner smoothly.

'Hey, wait - grr, the little punk insulted me!' said the Sailor angrily.

'Hey what? Thats not true' said Wes. 'I simply asked him a question regarding him and his Pokemon, it's not my fault if he took offense to it.'

'Sir, if you will please leave this area quietly and calmly, Electivire won't have to cause any more damage to your Pokemon.' said Volkner in a very stern and serious way.

The sailor left Route 222 angrily, muttering something under his breath as he did so.

'Sorry about that Wes.' said Volkner
'I had a call from Flint which I had to take.'

'Thats ok' said Wes. 'But can we get a move on, I have to be in Slateport by tonight.

For a while Wes and Volkner didn't talk, until they reached the beach where Wes was meeting Mr Reily.

'Well good luck on your journey.' said Volkner. 'I have to go though, there will be people piling up outside the GYM waiting to battle, and they aren't exactly going to be getting happier by the minute.'

'Sure, I should be fine from here anyway.' Said Wes.

Volkner left the beach at a brisk walk with Electivire by his side.

Wes, turned around to face the ocean, he couldn't see anybody around.
Then just as he thought he had been abandoned, he saw the sand a few meters away from him, start to rapidly move away from the area.
Wes turned and looked into the sky, just in time to catch a glimpse of a huge Pidgeot fly past him and hit the ground.

'Hello there!' beamed the the man riding the Pidgeot.
'You must be Wes! Happy to meet you, I'm Mr Reily.'

'Oh, hello, nice to meet you too.' said Wes

'Well then, you said you need to get to Slateport by tonight am I right?'
'If thats so, we going to have to get a move on, we are already behind schedule.' said Mr Reily

'Yes I do' said Wes. 'Can I ask, where is your boat?'

'Oh that, well we were going to take my boat, but last night old Shooter here evolved into Pidgeot, and can fly a lot further, in fact, it can fly us all the way to Slateport!

'Wes didn't know what to think of this, it would of course, get him to Slateport quicker, but Wes had never ridden a Pokemon before, let alone flown on one.'

'Well come on then, hop on Shooters back and grab hold of a few feathers while we take off.' said Mr Reily.

Wes climbed on Shooter the Pidgeot's back and grabbed a hold of some feathers.
At the moment when Wes felt comfortable, Mr Reily jumped on too, he gave a tug on Pidgeot's tail and hey were off.'

The speed Pidgeot flew at was amazing, and after a while Wes felt very comfortable riding Pidgeot, so much so in fact, he looked down upon Sinnoh, forgetting about his fear of heights and stared in aw at the magnificent Country, and most of all at Mt. Coronet.

After hours of flying, they went down on a small patch of land for a while.

'So, can I ask why you are heading over to Hoenn?' asked Mr Reily.

'Oh umm, I'm staying with my cousins for a while thats all.' lied Wes again.

'Fair enough, but why do you have to be there by tonight?' asked Mr Reily.

'Oh, umm, err... Dinner...' lied Wes nervously.

'Haha Dinner? Well, fair enough. We should head of soon, in about half an hour, we will be flying over Hoenn.' said Mr Reily.

So they were off again in minutes, yet after about 10 Minutes or so, it started to pour with rain.

'Do we need to keep going? Or can we go down?' shouted Mr Reily over the sound of the rain.

'Can we keep going? We are almost there aren't we? shouted Wes.

Mr Reily gave Wes a stern looked and then signaled at Pidgeot to keep going.
Just as they started to fly over Slateport, a bolt of lightning struck Pidgeot on the left wing, and they lost control.
They rocketed down out of the sky at an amazing speed. Wes tried as hard as he could to hold on, but could not keep his grip. He fell off Pidgeot and started to fall down into the ocean below.

Wes felt the impact of his body hitting the water all over his body, and felt a sharp pain in his back.
Wes surfaced the water, and tried to swim, but felt himself being dragged towards a huge rip. Wes swam as hard and fast as he could, but to no avail, he was pulled into the currents.

Wes felt like a rag-doll as he was thrown around the water. When Wes decided that struggling was doing no good, he tied to stay calm, in fact he thought he saw a huge cave fly past him as he was pulled along the currents.
After what seemed like forever, Wes found land. On shore he saw a huge boat yard, and presumed he was at Slateport. He was feeling a lot happier now that he had reached his destination, but the happiness was drained from him as he saw Mr Reily and Pidgeot lying on shore a few meters away from him. He rushed over to them as fast as he could in his drenched clothes.

'Are you ok Mr Reily, how's Pidgeot?' asked Wes.
'Oh, we took a hard hit on the surface, but Pidgeot should be fine, we just need to get her to the Pokemon Center as fast as possible.
Wes and Mr Reily carried Pidgeot through the pouring rain and into the Pokemon Center.

Nurse joy took Pidgot into care and assured Mr Reily that she would be fine.

'I'm so sorry, I should never had made us go through that storm.' apologized Wes.
'Oh please, don't worry about it, now you should head over to your cousins house, I resume they will be wanting to know you are safe.
Wes suddenly remembered about Professor Han and rushed out the hospital, doubting that they would care if he was safe.

Wes found the Oceanic Museum very quickly, as there were many signs pointing him in the right direction towards it.

He arrived at the Oceanic Museum at 9:46 PM. He entered through the doors soaking wet and with his hair absolutely sodden and over his eyes.

He paused as everybody stared at him. He didn't care anymore, he had had enough.

Wes raised his head and screamed at the top of his voice,
'ARE YA' HAPPY NOW?!'

Chapter 2: Professor Hann

You’ve finally made it to Slateport City without harm. Now what? You make your way to the Oceanic Museum, where you are told to go. Once there, you are able to enter without fee, but once you get inside you are blindfolded, and taken to who knows where by a strong force.

“Don’t worry,” whoever took you would say. Then you would recognize that they are male. The mystery person takes you upstairs, and in through a small, box elevator. It is very stuffed, and you can tell that there are about seven other people and their kidnapper in with you. Everything goes still, and you can’t hear anything. Then, all of a sudden, the elevator moves, shocking everyone it seems, except for the kidnappers. Soon it starts to get cold and very dark. Then, just a suddenly as the elevator started, it stops. You are escorted from the elevator by the kidnapper, and your blind fold is taken off.

You are welcomed by a short lady in a white lab coat.

“Hello, children!” the lady said with a big, booming voice which you wouldn’t match with her small, dainty body, “I’m Professor Hann!”

“I’m Logan,” said a tall man next to her, “I work for the government. I’m a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well,” he stressed the ‘very’.

“Now, time for your Pokemon!” said the booming voice of Professor
Hann, “After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive,” the Professor went to the back, and came back with eight Pokeballs. Then she said, “Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together,” she handed Grey an all white Pokeball.

“Gale, you will receive a Larvitar. Both of your stubbornness and ability of executing strategies will work together finely,” Logan said, handing Gale a specialized sapphire colored Pokeball.

“Dom, you will get a Rhyhorn. Your competitiveness, smarts, and simple traits will make you and Rhyhorn work together at your strongest,” it was Hann this time, handing Dom a blue and black Pokeball.

“Sydney, you get a Drifloon. Your carefree and loose personalities will mesh,” Sydney received a lavender colored Pokeball from Professor Hann.

"Wes, you will recieve a Growlite," Logan said, "You are both joyous, happy, outgoing and fun-loving," Logan handed Wes a bright fiery red and orange Pokemon.

“And finally, Kelly. You will get Buizel. Though you and Buizel have completely different personalities, we decided you would do best with Buizel. Have you ever heard the opposites attract?” Logan handed Kelly a deep purple and bright yellow Pokeball.

"On a sad note, news is that three of the people were unable to make it. Now,” said Professor Hann, “Time for you to get to know your Pokemon!”

You then open the Pokeballs, releasing the Pokemon given to you.

“Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs,” Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. “They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.”

“We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spys. We will be training in Mahogany Town, Johto. Pryce will be there to help us. We will be traveling by plane, but you must be in Mauville City at 8:00 am sharp.” Logan said. As Logan was talking something beeped. He ran back to the computer with Professor Hann and came back with a stunned look on his face.

“There is some news,” he said, “But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town.”

What to do in Chapter 2: Professor Hann

Explain getting to Slateport, going into the Museum and the events that took place. Then explain Professor Hann and Logan talking to you and your character’s thoughts on what will be taking place in the near future. Explain getting the Pokemon and PokeTech, and have your character wonder what the news is. Explain letting your Pokemon out and what it is like. Then end your post once you start to leave.

Chapter 2~

It was about time for Gale to go check out the Oceanic Museum. With her Metronome in her pocket, her specialized Power Lenses on her wrists, and her Azure Flute around her neck, a somewhat tired Gale headed off to the museum. Upon entering, she was greeted by two clerks. As if they knew of her coming, they let her in without a fee. Wow, yet another thing for free, Gale thought. Unfortunately, her thoughts had distracted her long enough before she finally snapped back into reality and realized someone had blindfolded her and was now dragging her along with great force. Too scared to say anything, Gale was to wait until the person took off her blindfold, so she could beat the crap out of the lecher.

Gale heard the person say it was OK, and realized it was a man, making her feel even worse. She felt herself go up some stairs, and then through a narrow elevator. Gale could sense some others in the elevator with her and her captor, but couldn't figure out how many. After a few more seconds passed, the elevator began moving, and Gale had to stifle a scream. In about one more second, the elevator stopped. Gale whimpered a bit, but no one seemed to notice. At last, she felt herself moving again, but she didn't know where to.

At last, the person took the blindfold off. It seemed as though this person didn't mean to harm her.

“Hello, children!” a short and perhaps somewhat stock (in Gale's opinion) woman in a white labcoat said with a big, booming voice. “I’m Professor Hann!” she quickly added.

“I’m Logan,” said a tall man next to her, “I work for the government. I’m a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well.” He seemed to stress the "very", or so Gale thought. She then realized some of the other people around her were about her age, maybe older, maybe younger. But why they were here, she didn't know.

“Now, time for your Pokemon!” said the booming voice of Professor Hann, “After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive.” The Professor went to the back, and came back with eight PokeBalls. Then she said, “Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together,” she handed the boy, Gray, an all white PokeBall.

“Gale, you will receive a Larvitar. Both of your stubbornness and ability of executing strategies will work together finely,” Logan said, handing Gale a specialized sapphire colored PokeBall. She snatched it up immediately, and looked at its fine design. Such a nice design. I'll call this special ball... The Ribbon Ball! Now all I need to do is attach a pearl-colored ribbon to it! Gale thought merrily. Her thoughts yet again distracted her, and she didn't hear who the other people were.

"On a sad note, news is that three of the people were unable to make it. Now,” said Professor Hann. “Time for you to get to know your Pokemon!” Was all Gale got, and fortunately, it was enough for her. She pressed the button in the middle of the Ribbon Ball, and out came a light green-colored dinosaur-like creature. It stared at her, blinking every few seconds, and Gale returned the gaze. This went on for a few moments, until finally the creature reached out its hand towards her. Happily accepting its introduction, Gale grabbed the creature's small hand and shook it. The creature smiled, and at once Gale began coming up with names.

First off, the Larvitar was a Rock/Ground type, as Gale recalled from past recollections of her time traveling in Johto and her time in Orre. So Terra would fit perfectly. Now the Larvitar needed to have a middle name. At first "Emerald" came to mind, but Gale scratched it off; Emeralds were too dark. Then came "jade", but once Gale saw the ruby red scar the Larvitar bore, she finally had a name for her.

"You'll be Terra Ruby, Terra for short," she declared in front of all the people surrounding her. The Larvitar smiled, and then motioned for Gale to pick her up. Gale did so, and it was then that the professor began speaking again.

“Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs,” Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. “They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.”

“We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spies.

“There is some news,” he said, “But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town.” Sighing from the long day, Gale figured it was just about time to leave, when she suddenly recalled what the merchant who gave her the Power Lenses had said. Since Terra was a Pokemon, it would be best for her to receive them.

"Here, Terra," Gale said, placing the two specially designed Power Lenses on Terra's arms. As if by magic, they immediately fitted themselves to match Terra's arm circumference, as her arms were a bit smaller than Gale's. Terra seemed to struggle a bit, but then got the hang of her new items. "I think the merchant said they lowered your speed while the lenses are equipped, but that doesn't mean your overall Speed stat is lowered. He also added that they raise your Special Attack even more, and I'm sure that'll help." Terra nodded as if in agreement. With that said and done, Gale took her time to look at the others. Apparently, no one was staring at her chest or her scar, which she liked. She took her Azure Flute from her neck and began playing it gently. An eerie tune began to play, but then it got prettier and prettier as she progressed in the melody. It was a bit quiet and probably unnoticeable, but sure enough, Terra seemed to hear it, and turned stone-hard as she listened to this haunting melody. It's a song I've known for a while now, Gale thought. It's called "Torn World"... She continued playing as some began to leave while others talked with their Pokemon or some of the other trainers.

(Yes she is playing an ocarina/flute version of the music in the Torn World in Platinum. I don't think there's an actual arrangement of this, but I like the Torn World's tune, so...)

~+ Out of Character +~
Okay, so it was more than ten minutes, 'cause I got sidetracked. Sorry 'bout that.

~+ In Character +~

Kelly trudged wearily to the Oceanic Museum, the designated point of arrival by 7:00 PM, though she was tired, knowing her, she would never even think about showing it. She lifted her watch up to her face, so that she could read the time, 6:45, good, she still had a few minutes to reach the museum. As the time ticked away and it drew closer to 7:00, thoughts began to penetrate Kelly's mind, disappearing as quickly as they appeared.

What if she had gotten the date wrong? What if there was nobody there when she arrived at the Oceanic Museum? She'd have to find a way back home, though she speculated that it must have been safe to walk, as so many trainers had successfully completed their journey through the Hoenn Region, she couldn't help but remember that they had Pokemon with them. If she was forced to return on foot, she'd be on her own. Though it wasn't exactly scary, she imagined it would be rather lonely.

"Ah..." A soft release of breath escaped her lips as she set eyes upon the ocean. In the dimming light, what remained of the sunlight glistened and danced upon the waves, turning the water golden in spots where the sunlight touched, and dark blue-green in the spots that the clouds stubbornly defended. She had never seen a sunset upon the sea, in fact, she had never even seen the sea, until today, of course, and the sight of it filled her with a sense of wonderment that was quick in passing.

"'Ello there, goin' somewhere?" A gruff voice interrupted her thoughts, chasing them away as fast as a lion chased away antelopes. Probably one of those many sailors, she thought, before turning around, eyebrows raised, though only slightly.

"Yes." Kelly replied shortly, her voice light, and completely devoid of emotion, like the way she almost always spoke. Though this was often enough to cause most people to back off, if only slightly, the sailor didn't seem to have been fazed in the slightest. He turned to his fellow sailors and let out a bellow of laughter, which Kelly found rather annoying.

"You're a young 'un to be travelin' on your own." The sailor remarked, grinning to reveal yellowed teeth, though in several spots he had no teeth at all. It was all Kelly could do to keep from showing her disgust, though the side of her mouth twisted in a revolted grimace. However, fortunately for her, this slipped the notice of the sailor.

"I suppose so. But if you don't mind, I'd better be on my way, you see, I have to reach my destination at designated time." She could think of no better reply without risking the anger of the sailors, though she felt now that the words had left her mouth that her reply was overall rather lacking. In fact, hanging in the air, it sounded almost stupid, but before the sailors could say anything, or do anything save for laugh, for that matter, she had strode off, turning a corner and breaking into a run.

Snap. She hadn't stuck to the route that would take her to the Oceanic Museum, now she would have to keep walking and hope that she somehow ended up there. The streets were now quieter, though people still traveled upon them, though the light seemed dimmer. She once again lifted her watch to her face, the time read, 6:55. Double snap. That left her hardly enough time to get to the museum. She picked up her pace, and rounded another corner, feeling more than a little nervous should she arrive late.

Lucky. Was Kelly's only thought as she spotted the museum in front of her. So she had somehow managed to get there after all. Still running, she checked the time once more, 6:58, so she wasn't late, either. That was probably just pure luck that she turned onto any random street and managed to make it to the museum.

Slipping past the green-ish glass doors, she faced the front desk. Except that there were no people there. Strange. She thought, this wasn't right. Even at this time of day, the Oceanic Museum didn't close till 7:30 PM. But before she could think any more, she felt a strong pair of arms seize her from behind, wrapping a blindfold around her head, blocking out her vision, with an almost practiced hand, and half carrying, half dragging her across the floor. It must have been a man that had blindfolded her, and she felt fear and suspicion in her stomach. So was this really all a trap?

She heard the gentle woosh of air as doors closed, and then the sensation of floating for a brief moment, and she realized that they must be in an elevator. However, the inside of the elevator seemed stuffy, though she couldn't imagine why. All of a sudden, Kelly felt a cool rush of air, along with a slight jerk, and decided the elevator must have stopped. Then, light filled her eyes, momentarily blinding her as her eyes adjusted to the sudden brightness. Before she could take in her surroundings, a booming voice seemed to come out of nowhere, causing her to jump in surprise.

“Hello, children!” A small, petite lady bellowed, “I’m Professor Hann!" She seemed to add as an afterthought.

“I’m Logan,” said a tall man next to her, “I work for the government. I’m a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well,” he stressing the ‘very’. Her eyes turned on him, and in the process, noticed that there were several other people about her age in the room with her.

“Now, time for your Pokemon!” came the booming voice of Professor Hann once again, “After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive,” the Professor went to the back, and came back with eight Pokeballs. Then she said.

“Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together,” she handed a tall, lanky boy a Pokeball that was completely white.

“Gale, you will receive a Larvitar. Both of your stubbornness and ability of executing strategies will work together finely,” Logan said, handing a girl with long, straight blonde hair and startling sapphire blue eyes that were noticable from a distance a Pokeball the exact color of her eyes.

“Dom, you will get a Rhyhorn. Your competitiveness, smarts, and simple traits will make you and Rhyhorn work together at your strongest,” it was Hann this time, and she handed a tall, musclar boy a blue and black Pokeball.

“Sydney, you get a Drifloon. Your carefree and loose personalities will mesh,” A girl a bit shorter than her with long, dark hair received a lavender colored Pokeball from Professor Hann.

"Wes, you will recieve a Growlite," Logan said, "You are both joyous, happy, outgoing and fun-loving," Logan handed a fairly tall boy with light colored hair a firey red and orange Pokeball.

Kelly opened the Pokeball, following the lead of the other trainers. A orange weasel-like Pokemon appeared, blinking up at her.

“Ah, yes.

Kelly had not taken this in completely, though she felt she had gotten the message well enough, and bent down to eye level with her Buizel.

"Um...hello!" She said rather brightly, and the Buizel's face lit up.

"Bui...buizel!" It seemed to know that they would be friends, and Kelly could see how they were different. She was shyer and more withdrawn, Buizel seemed to be outspoken and bold, though she couldn't quite see how opposites would attract.

Sydney was still quite shaken and stirred from her long voyage to Slateport City in just a few hours. She was quite fit and in shape from all the running that she usually partakes in, but for some reason that particular workout wasn’t going in her favor at all. Other than her somewhat odd and irregular breathing patterns that she hoped no one else had noticed, she was also feeling uneasy about the whole situation that she was in. The letter still seemed rather suspicious to her and felt that maybe she should turn back and leave before she got herself into some deep trouble.

After the moment of hyperventilation was over, she ventured inside of the Oceanic Museum, which was surprisingly free of charge. As she walked inside, she was immediately met with something quite undesired by her. Instant darkness. A blindfold. She tried to break free of the stranger’s tough grasp, but her short stature wasn’t enough to let herself loose.

“Don’t worry,” The stranger divulged.

“Let me go right now or I’ll be forced to kick you where you wouldn’t like to be kicked!” Syd yelled rather loudly.

The two had reached a very small elevator with another group of people inside as well. As soon as they had made their way inside the tiny space, they began to descend downwards to Lord knows where. Syd tensed up and was nearly about to scream when they had came to a stop. The strange man removed Syd’s blindfold and revealed to her a short lady sporting a white lab coat, who seemed to be either her height or possibly even shorter.

“Hello, children!” the lady said with a big, booming voice which you wouldn’t match with her small, dainty body, “I’m Professor Hann!”

+ Oh my god… + Sydney thought. She was a bit startled by the woman’s loud voice yet small body structure.

“I’m Logan,” said a tall man next to her, “I work for the government. I’m a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well.”

It didn’t sit too well with Sydney, the way Logan had stressed the word “very.” It wasn’t that she didn’t want to get to know him, it was just the fact that this was all happening sort of quickly, and Sydney tended to go with the flow at a slow pace, at least most of the time. She decided to go along with it though and see how she faired. It would definitely spice up her life, she thought. One of her main goals was to defeat her brother and she figured maybe this “mission,” or whatever it was, would somehow aid her in reaching that goal.

“Now, time for your Pokemon!” said the booming voice of Professor Hann, “After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive,” the Professor went to the back, and came back with eight Pokeballs.

Sydney then looked her nicely colored Pokeball and released the Drifloon that was inside. The white light that appeared from the ball materialized into a balloon-like figure that let out an odd yet cute sounding cry.

“Wooon~” Drifloon uttered as it had appeared.

“Whoa, cool! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Pokemon like this before.” Syd exclaimed. She approached the Drifloon, who seemed to be a bit shy at first but then extended its heart-shaped expenditure to Sydney and the two shook hands. Professor Hann and Logan had definitely made quite a good choice, as Sydney could tell that the two would make a pretty good team.

“Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs,” Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. “They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.”

Sydney took a look at the PokeTech, observing its outstanding design and high-tech features. She decided to put it into her pocket for safe-keeping but so she still had easy access to it.

+ News? I hope this won’t be anything that involves jumping out of planes or anything… + Sydney thought with a disturbed look on her face. She looked around and saw the other trainers with their Pokemon; she noticed one guy who had brought a guitar along with him.

“Awesome guitar. I love rockin’ out with my friend’s guitar back in Petalburg City. What songs do you know how to play? Or are you a beginner.” Syd asked the boy.

Grey set his things down outside the Oceanic Museam.

"Sorry I'm late!" he said as he ran into the museam. As he burst in he is blindfolded. He started trying to get free of the kidnappers' grasp.

"Don't worry," said the person. Male, definatley male, Grey thought.

The man pushed him up the stairs into a small elevator. Grey knew the elevator was stuffed, and slowly his claustrophobia kicked in. He felt as if he were about to puke. Besides his gagging, everyone in the elevator went still. Grey could hear someone scream as the elevator took off. Grey could feel the tenseness in the air. He held his breath to prevent puking. As they decended to who knows where, Grey closed his eyes. What did I do to deserve this? The letter must have been a trap. he though. Soon enough, the elevator came to a halt, and his eyes were burned by a bright light.

"Hello, children!" said a loud person as Greys blindfold was taken off. "I'm Professor Hann!" she added. Grey was surprised to see such a short body matched with a lound voice.

“I’m Logan,” said a tall man who seemed to appear next to her, “I work for the government. I’m a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well,”

Grey's mind started wondering after the short introduction. He had noticed the short, stubby Professor leave, only to reappear with a few PokeBalls. He heard her say his name and he quickly came back to earth.

"Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together,” she handed Grey a blue and green PokeBall, with hints of red. He studied the PokeBall as she handed out the rest of the PokeBalls. How does she know a thing about my personality? he wondered. Ralts, he thought, I've always liked that Pokemon. But I hope its male...

Grey tried to pay attention when he heard the professor say 'sad'. This made him decide not to listen; sad wasn't exactly what he wanted to hear. Then he noticed everyone opening their Pokeballs to reveal their Pokemon. Grey looked around and saw a Larvitar, Rhyhorn, Growlithe, Drifloon, Riolu, and a Buizel. Soon he caught on and opened his PokeBall to release his Ralts.

"Hey little buddy," he whispered to his new Pokemon.

Then Grey hears Professor Hann, “Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs,” She handed him a Red PokeTech (whatever that was), and then listened to what it was. “They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.”

He flipped open the small device and as it noticed Ralts, the screen blared with information. He saw that the Ralts was male, then let out a sigh of relief.

Then he heard, “We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spys. We will be training in Mahogany Town, Johto. Pryce will be there to help us. We will be traveling by plane, but you must be in Mauville City at 8:00 am sharp.”

Grey heard a high-pitched 'beep' and noticed that the man named Logan ran back to a computer. He came back with a bad look on his face.

“There is some news,” he said, “But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town.”

Mahogan Town, aye? Isn't that in Johto? Grey thought.

Dom took a quick look at his watch. The hands corresponded to 6:57.

I better make my way inside now. He thought to himself. He got up from where he sat and headed inside. He looked for somebody to flash the envolope to; but everybody let him pass with ease.

The moment Dom passed the main security guards he was grabbed and blindfolded.

"HEY! WHAT'RE YOU-" Dom tried to scream. But before he could finish, a hand was clasped over his mouth. It was a thick, rough hand; more than likely a males.

"Don't worry.." A tough, scratchy voice uttered as he pulled Dom along.

Definatly male.. Dom thought. But why am I being carried away?

After a few moments, Dom felt himself in a closed space. He could feel the presence of others around him; but he was unaware of how many.

Then, out of nowhere, the room moved downward. Dom jumped slightly from the suprise and realized he was in a elevator. The elevator came to a groaning stop after a few seconds and Dom was escorted out and de-blindfolded.

“Hello, children!” Said a small woman with a suprisingly loud voice. "I’m Professor Hann!”

“I’m Logan,” Said a very tall boy that was standing next to the Professor. “I work for the government. I’m a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well,”

“Now, time for your Pokemon!” Professor Hann boomed again.

Pokemon? Dom thought with a sudden grin taking over his face.

“After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive,” Hann said. She retreived a tray of eight strangley colored Pokeballs.

“Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts.

Dom stared at the ebony and navy colored pokeball. It was magnificent. He noticed the other trainers had called out their Pokemon already, so Dom followed suit.

He pressed the button in the middle of the ball, and in a brilliant red flash his Pokemon appeared.

It was a quadraped and had stone-like protrusions coming from it.

"Rhy...Horn?" The Pokemon said quizically while staring at Dom. Dom stared for a moment, the knelt down and patted the Pokemon. Even though it was rock-hard, the Pokemon seemed to enjoy the petting.

"Rhy~!" It cried with joy.

“Awesome guitar. I love rockin’ out with my friend’s guitar back in Petalburg City. What songs do you know how to play? Or are you a beginner.” Dom heard a female voice from behind him.

He turned around to find a girl with her new Drifloon by her side.

"Well, you play too?" Dom asked the girl in front of him. "Not to brag, but i'm not a beginner."

He pulled his guitar around and played a gentle tune that filled the air.

"And if you don't like that kind of music; then how about this?" He said as he started to play a wicked solo on his guitar.

"It's a real shame this is only an acoustic. An electric would have sounded much better." Dom said with a small sigh. It was then that he noticed his Rhyhorn was staring at the guitar with dream-filled eyes.

"So you like that too, eh?" He said with a smile as he patted the Rhyhorn again.

“Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs,” Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. “They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.”

A PokeTech? Awesome! Dom thought to himself as he stared at the device. He quickly pocketed it as Hann started to speak again.

“We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spys. We will be training in Mahogany Town, Johto. Pryce will be there to help us. We will be traveling by plane, but you must be in Mauville City at 8:00 am sharp.” Logan said.

"Hmm, Mauville." Dom thought aloud as he listened. "It's to bad we can't continue this conversation... Sydney, is it?" Dom said to the girl who asked about his guitar.

Just then a beebing noise came from a nearby computer. Professor Hann and Logan ran to the computer for a moment and came back with a shocked face.

“There is some news,” Logan said, “But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town.”

"Welp, ok then!" Dom said to no one in particular. "I guess I'll head out now!" And with that he started to make his leave to Mauville.

Chapter 3: Route 110

You leave Professor Hann’s lab, but before you do, she stops you and gives you five Pokeballs. You must now go to the town directly north of Slateport, Mauville, by going through Route 110. (Note: no cycling rode)

What to do on a route:
• Battle a made up rival.
• Battle a random trainer.
• Battle another RPer (explained below)
• Catch Pokemon.
• Level up your Pokemon.

If you choose to battle another RPer, then you must notify that person via PM or OOC thread. You will decide who wins, and then you can both post the battle, describing your characters win/loss.
You can do up to two things per post. Please try not to make three posts just to do everything. You can only catch one pokemon.

As Gale calmly put away her ocarina, she headed out of the museum. She noticed the carnival music had stopped playing, and silence crept around every corner. It was as if everything had gone mute for her sake (she loved the silence). She then blanked out, and when she stopped blanking, five PokeBalls, minimized, were in her hands. Um... she wondered how they got there, but it didn't matter; they would help her catch a Pokemon.

Earlier, there was a policeman that had blocked the way to Route 110. But he seemed to be snoozing on the job (Gale didn't even know why he was even blocking it), and she headed straight towards the gate. Since the guard was in such a deep sleep, Gale grabbed the remaining donut in the box beside him. She took a bite out of it, and smiled. Mm... Marble Glazed, she thought, walking towards the breezy route.

Noticing the one short path that seemed like a shortcut to get to Mauville, Gale headed inside the building, where she was stopped by a woman who told her she couldn't go through unless she had a bike. Sighing, Gale left the building and began walking up straight, until she came to a fork. Figuring Mauville was northwest of where she was, she turned to her left and walked the path. On the way, she noticed two trainers battling it out. One was using a Roselia; the other was using a Pichu. It seemed like the Roselia was winning, but Gale wasn't too sure. At last, she came to a somewhat wide lake that connected to the other side a few meters out. Groaning because she had gone the wrong way, Gale turned around, only to find a small brown Pokemon staring at her with its big eyes. Taking out her PokeTech, Gale began to search information on this Pokemon.

"Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/0/04/Spr_4p_133.png

Due to having irregular genes, various causes will make it undergo a transformation," Gale read. "Whoa... Cool..." The small fox-like creature smiled, and Gale immediately smiled back. "Heya, little sweetie, how would you like to join my team?" Gale held out a hand, and the Eevee immediately became defensive. Like a cat, it arched its back and its tail hairs stood on their ends. Backing off, Gale figured she'd have to battle the small critter.

"Come on out, Terra!" she shouted. Marvelous sapphire sparkles burst from the Ribbon Ball as the Larvitar appeared, eyeing the Eevee carefully.

"Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokemon.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/d/d3/Spr_3r_246.png

It is born deep underground. It can't emerge until it has entirely consumed the soil around it," Gale said, once again reading the data her PokeTech had transferred. The Eevee soon lunged at Terra, but the Larvitar knew better than that. She jumped out of the way just in time, and the Eevee turned, ready to attack again. Quickly stumbling through her PokeTech to find the moves Terra knew, Gale nearly dropped the mechanical device. She picked it up before it fell to the ground, and looked at Terra's moves.

"Um... Terra, Dragon Dance!" Gale shouted. The Larvitar turned a bright crimson red, and at once it spread around her as if it were an aura. She soon became speedier, and was able to dodge the Eevee's next attack.

"Now, Iron Head!" Gale commanded. Terra's head turned a complete silver; her scar turning a bright gold, and she rammed into the Eevee with all her might. The fox-like Pokemon fell back, and Gale reached into her pocket for a PokeBall.

"PokeBall, go!" she shouted, throwing the ball at the small Eevee. It seemed to absorb the Eevee with its bright light, and it fell to the ground, the circle in the middle beeping a nice red...

(Yeah... I wasn't exactly sure if we were able to catch these things without your consent or what, plus I wasn't sure if you'd give them a random gender, ability (if they have multiple ones), and nature. I'd really like her to be a girl so "Ciela Crystal" can work out, but...)

OOC: Sorry for the late post, I just got very busy, anyway, here is a merged Chapter 2 + 3 post =P

RP:

Chapter 2

'ARE YA' HAPPY NOW?' screamed a rage filled Wes.

But as soon as he had said that, a large bulky man, much like the man in Wes' dream came.
'Don’t worry' said the large bulky man.
Wes was dragged over towards the right hand side of the Oceanic Museum and into what he suspected was an elevator.
He tried to break free of the large man's grasp, but he was much to strong. Then just as Wes settled down, the elevator started and he heard numerous other people give a sudden little shout.
He felt more comfortable now knowing that he wasn't alone. Then after about 15 seconds, the elevator opened back up and they were taken into a cold dark room.
The bags were taken off everybody's heads.

'Welcome children, to the oceanic museum, I am Professor Hann, nice to meet you.' said a tall thin lady in a white lab coat.

'And my name is Logan' said the shady looking bulky man. 'I assure you we be getting to know each other very well.

'Now, now Logan, don't scare the young children.' said Prof. Hann. 'Now, time children, for you to meet your pokemon that you have been carefully selected to travel with.'

The Professor went into a back room and came out with a tray with 8 differently colored, specially modified, Pokeballs.

Wes waited a very long time as he seemed to be at the back of the line. He watched the other children receive their pokemon, including a Larvitar, Rhyhorn and a Drifloon.

After a few minutes Prof. Hann reached Wes.
'Now Wes' said Logan in a deep voice, as if trying to scare Wes even more.
'We have decided that you will receive a Growlithe, you are both joyous, happy, outgoing and fun-loving, you should make a great pair.

Logan handed Wes a Black Pokeball with to Red diagonal stripes along the side. Wes watched while the last girl received her Pokemon, Buizel.

'On a sad note, news is that three of the people were unable to make it. Now,' said Professor Hann, 'Time for you to get to know your Pokemon!'

And then as if right on cue, the Pokeball almost burst open and out jumped a cute and happy looking Growlithe. The Growlithe looked up at Wes, it looked as if it was saying to Wes 'Nice to meet you'. Wes could only smile back, as his new Growlithe was the first Pokemon he had ever known.

I hope everybody enjoys the Pokemon they now own' Wes frowned at Prof. Hann, and then looked at Growlithe, who was looking at Prof. Hann in a very confused way, and he then looked back at Wes.
Wes then said in a soft, quiet voice 'Don't worry, I don't own you, we're partners, and we will be working together in this.'
Growlithe smiled back at Wes and gave his face lick.

'Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs,” Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. “They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.'

Wes looked at his PokeTech, he instantly new this was going to be somewhat annoying to travel with, so he decided that as soon as he got out, he would buy a strap for it, so it could attach to his arm, as the PokeTech seemed small enough to do so, in fact, they reminded Wes a lot of the Poketch from Sinnoh.

Prof. Hann then directed for everybody to leave the room, and Wes followed the rest of the children out.

Everybody seemed to happy to have received their very own Pokemon, they were all happily patting and playing with their Pokemon.
Wes looked at Growlithe, at the same moment, they could both tell what each other were thinking, they both gave a nod, and they were off towards Route 110.

~~

OOC: Yeah, this will be lame, you'll figure it out the part I'm talking about, I'm just doing it because I want Wes and Growlithe to share a very strong bond and friendship.

Chapter 3

'Wes wait! I forgot to give you these!' said Prof. Hann a she was running towards Wes and Growlithe.

'Oh umm thanks I guess' said Wes.

Wes and Growlithe continued their journey up towards Route 110, on the way they saw a boy come out of the Pokemon Center with a very tough and strong looking Poochyena. The boy could not have been much younger than Wes and he to, started to head off towards Route 110. Wes new from the minute he saw the boy walking, that he wasn't they type of person he liked to hang out with.

Wes then reached into his pocket and pulled out a few of the Pokeball's he was given. Wes wasn't sure he wanted to catch more Pokemon though, so he put the balls back in his pocket. But at that moment he realized that he had left Growlithe's Pokeball back at the Oceanic Museum.

'Hey Growlithe, we left your Pokeball back at the Oceanic Museum, we should have time to go back and get it before the Museum closes, come on lets go!' said Wes.

But as Wes turned around, Growlithe gave a tug on Wes' jeans. And gave him a look that Wes knew meant that Growlithe would rather be without the ball.

Wes decided that he would rather have Growlithe around all the time, and figured that if he was a Pokemon, that a Pokeball would be the last place he'd want to spend his time.

It was getting dark now though so Wes and Growlithe decided that instead of falling behind the rest of the kids, and resting for the night, that they would go do a bit of training.

They hurried off towards Route 110, and as they entered past the trees, they heard the cries of a Pokemon somewhere nearby and it sounded like it was in pain. Wes and Growlithe ran off towards the screams of pain and found the young boy they saw earlier and his Poochyena, attacking what looked to be a baby Eevee.

'You know what to do' whispered Wes to Growlithe.

'Go Poochyena! Finish the pathetic thing off with Bite!' shouted the young boy at his Poochyena.

But just as the Poochyena was about to inflict the final, painful blow on on the baby Eevee, Growlithe tackled the Poochyena to the ground whilst surrounded by a ball of flames. Wes noticed that his PokeTech had responded to this by displaying the move 'Flame Wheel' and information on it.
The Poochyena hit the ground hard and the young Eevee quickly ran into the bushes to escape more pain.

'What the hell do ya' think you're doing?!' said the young boy.

'You were attacking that poor baby Eevee, you nearly killed the poor thing. And at that moment the Eevee came out from behind the bushes, looking battered and bruised and hid behind Wes.
'And - Are those rocks in your hand?' said Wes, who couldn't believe his eyes.

They young boy quickly threw the rocks into the bushes. 'Umm no...' lied the young boy.

'That's cruelty to Pokemon, if you're going to train, let it be as fair as it can be, even I know that much.' said Wes

'Hey! That thing was attacking us! It was just self-defense!' said the young boy.

'I find that rather hard to believe! The thing for a start is just a baby! And even if for some reason it was, that still gives you no right to throw rocks at it!' said Wes.
'If you're gonna fight, then pick on something you're own size, battle me!'

'Haha, you? By the looks of it, you haven't even got a badge yet!' joked the young boy.

'And I suppose you have then?' said Wes

'Haha, glad you asked. I in fact have 3 Badges, I've just arrived back from Mauville where I defeated the GYM and received my 3rd Badge!' boasted the young boy.

'I'll take you on, badges or not! Come on, Bring It!' shouted Wes.

At that moment, the young boy chuckled and then signaled for his Poochyena to attack Wes. But just in time, Growlithe came to the rescue with another Flame Wheel attack, and then held Poochyena on the ground with his paw against Poochyena's throat, growling at him. Growlithe gave Wes a look as if asking, 'What now?'.

'Just leave the pathetic thing.' said Wes. But as Growlithe looked back at Poochyena, he received a claw to the face and the Poochyena ran off back to the young boy. Growlithe put a paw to his face and saw blood falling down his cheek. He growled loudly at the young boy and his Poochyena.

'Grr - This won't be the last you hear from Jack Orford!' he shouted as he and Poochyena ran off back towards Slateport City.

'Bah, little punk, he'll pay for that' said Wes under his breath. He looked at Growlithe who stood growling loudly back towards Slateport City, Wes could tell Growlithe was thinking the same thing.

Sydney felt a bit relieved now as she thought they were going to be held captive or something just moments before. She returned Drifloon to its Pokeball and proceeded to make her way outside of the museum. Before she could walk much further, Professor Hann stopped her and handed five Pokeballs to her so she would be able to capture additional Pokemon to have along with her and Drifloon. Syd thanked Professor Hann and continued northward towards the next destination, Mauville City. She would first have to successfully make her way through Route 110, which for a beginning trainer, wouldn’t be all that easy.

~

Nearly half an hour later, Syd still continued to make her way through the route, surprisingly without much trouble at all. This was her first time being out on her own, so she was definitely a bit nervous. Her main goal was to reach Mauville City, but if she was able to snag a Pokemon on the way without distracting her too much, then she figured she would be fine. Her opportunity came almost immediately when she noticed an adorable Teddiursa looking in a tree’s hollow, possibly searching for honey, although she was unsure why honey would be in a hollowed tree unless someone put it there. She took out her PokeTech so she can learn more about the little bear cub Pokemon.

“Wow…it looks cool and cute at the same time. Who knew it was even possible?” Sydney muttered to herself.

“Teddi…Teddiursa!” Teddiursa fell out from the hollow and turned its head towards Sydney. For some odd reason, the bear Pokemon began to blush brightly.

“…Huh? What’s wrong with it? Do you have a fever Teddiursa?” Syd asked with a puzzled look on her face.

Teddiursa immediately leaped up and made its way towards Syd, hugging her tightly as soon as it became of reach to her. Sydney quickly pulled Teddiursa off of her as a result of her confusion and reached for Drifloon’s Pokeball.

“Err, okay, Drifloon, go!” Sydney cried as she threw her Pokeball high into the air.

“Woooooon~” Drifloon uttered as it burst from the Pokeball instantly.

“Drifloon, use Will-O-Wisp!” Syd exclaimed. She had seen a Drifloon used plenty of times before on television so she had some knowledge of their attacks.

Drifloon floated quickly towards Teddiursa, whilst its eyes proceeded to glow a very light shade of blue. A numerous group of blue flames then surrounded Drifloon as it readied itself to attack Teddiursa with the burning Ghost-type attack. The flames circled around Drifloon in some sort of “X” formation, and Drifloon began to spin around in a fast motion. Teddiursa saw this as a chance to make its move, and used a powerful looking Hidden Power, which raced towards Drifloon. Drifloon’s Will-O-Wisp “X” formation shielded against the Hidden Power, and then Drifloon retaliated by throwing the Will-O-Wisp upon Teddiursa, causing major burns to inflict it.

“Great job Drifloon! Now, let’s see if we can catch this thing…” Syd reached for one of her Pokeballs but before she could throw it, another Pokeball had already hit Teddiursa, as well as successfully capturing it.

“Woon?” Drifloon cried in a sad tone of voice.

“Haha. Thanks Syd. You really saved me the trouble of battling it myself.” A voice that sounded so much like her brother’s had remarked.

“Roman? What the hell is wrong with you? That Teddiursa was going to be mine, you stupid jacka-.” Sydney angrily responded before being interrupted.

“Yeah, well, I don’t care. This Teddiursa was too good for you anyways. You’re only capable of training weak Pokemon, like that pathetic Drifloon of yours, haha.” Roman retorted, looking towards Drifloon, who had a sad look on its face.

“It’s ten times better than the piece of crap that you picked. I want a battle, right here and now, if you want to talk all big and tough.” Sydney mockingly suggested.

“Nah, that’s alright. I don’t have time for rookies. I have four badges now so I’m close to being one of the big-shot trainers now, unlike you, who’ll never get one, unless they felt really sorry for you for losing to them badly. Anyways, I’m going to Slateport City. I have to get Dewford Gym’s badge that I didn’t bother to get before.” Roman replied, rudely brushing past her on his way to Slateport.

Syd just turned around and continued walking to Mauville City with an odd smile on her face.

“Head up, chest out…and count backwards from 10…”

Dom began to make his way out, but was stopped by Professor Hann. SHe handed him five Pokeballs and sent him on his way.

As Dom exited the oceanic museum the night air flowed crisply against his face. He hadn't realized just how much time had passed. His watch said it was 8:30 now.

"Dang, I spent a whole hour and a half in there?" Dom wondered aloud. His Rhyhorn, who had been following him since it's release of it's Pokeball, had a certain happy spring in her step. She seemed happy to be with her new owner.

"Alright...Route 110.." Dom said peering at his map, then back at the actual route. "It looks alot less confusing on the map..." He said with a sigh.

Dom decided to pass the time by playing a song on his guitar. He had already discovered that his Rhyhorn had a love for his music.

"Rhyy~" Rhyhorn cired, as if singing along with the music.

Ting
Ting

A very faint sound came from a bush nearby. It sounded like a bell.

Ting
Ting

"Man, what is that tinging noise?" Dom said in a quizical tone. He followed the sound until it got louder and louder.

Ting...
Ting...
Ting...

Dom rummaged through the bushes for roughly five minutes until he found, much to his dismay, an egg.

"This is what's making the sound?" Dom said while eyeing the egg carfully.

He reached for his PokeTech, just to see if it had any information.

___________

Pokemon Egg.
Species: Unkown

The faint sound emmited from the egg may verify the Pokemon it will hatch in to. This egg is in the early stages of development. Caring for, and nursing the egg will make it hatch faster.

___________

"Intersting..." Dom muttered quietly while reading the data. "You think we should keep it, Rhyhorn?"

Rhyhorn sniffed the egg, possibly to see if it meant any harm. "Rhy...horn!" The Pokemon said cheerily.

"Alright then! This is our new Pokemon. Er..Soon to be Pokemon!" Dom said as he eyed the egg again.

"What a nice looking egg you have there.." A mysterious voice said from behind Dom. "How about you...hand it over."

"I don't think so!" Dom said with a sudden angry tone. "You wan't it; you'll have to fight for it! Rhyhorn, take care of this guy with Horn Attack!"

Rhyhorn obliged and charged at the mystery man. She was determined to protect their new egg.

"I don't think so..Snorunt, come out and use Powder Snow!" And as the mystery man said those words, his Pokemon appeared. It was a tiny thing; with a black body and tent-like coat around it.

It spewed white snow from it's mouth that hit Rhyhorn head on. Rhyhorn flinched a bit but kept going with it's attack. Rhyhorn's horn hit Snorunt dead on and sent it back to it's trainers feet.

"We're not done yet! Snorunt, get your ass up and fight!" The man said forcefully. Snorunt carefully eased itself up. It was obviously injured.

Rhyhorn began to paw at the ground, she was ready for another attack.

"Rhyhorn, stop" Dom said qiuetly. "That Snorunt can't possibly go on. Let's leave now."

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?! We're not through! You hear me?! You'll be hearing from me again! Remember my name! Tim Westling!" Tim shouted as Dom walked away.

"People like him...make me sick." Dom uttered with anger in his voice. "No respect whatsoever for their Pokemon.. Oh well, that's behind us now. Let's keep going"

As the ball closed with a loud "ping", Gale sighed, and stared at it for a few seconds. She then proceeded to pick it up, Terra right behind her.

"Hmm... Female..." Gale muttered. "Well, Eevee has, what? Seven evolutions?" Terra nodded, though she probably didn't know herself. "Well, Glaceon would be one of the most prettiest... Ciela! For a first name! and for a middle name... Crystal! Because ice is crystal-clear!" Terra seemed to like the name, as she put her left arm up in the air.

"Larv!" she exclaimed in agreement. Smiling, Gale then opened up Ciela's PokeBall, and out came the small critter. Taking one look at Gale, then at Terra, Ciela gave a bit of a glare.

"It's alright, Ciela Crystal," Gale calmly said, reaching her arm out for Ciela to sniff. "I'm your friend." It was then that Gale noticed the abnormality in Ciela's eyes. Her left eye was a cobalt blue; her right a beautiful turquoise blue. Ciela walked timidly over to Gale and sniffed her hand. She then seemed to stare up at the Azure Flute Gale still had around her neck.

"You want to listen to me play?" Gale asked. She took the Azure Flute off her neck and began playing the same tune she had when she first met Professor Hann. It was the Torn World, as she had named it. It seemed as though Ciela was...immobilized by the sad, haunting tune. When Gale stopped, the small Eevee was in a daze. Smiling, Gale reached down and patted the critter's head. Ciela looked up at her.

"Vui!" she replied in response to Gale's patting. Walking over to Terra, Ciela stared at the scar Terra held, while at the same time, Terra was gazing at the Eevee's different colored eyes. After a moment, Ciela seemed to reach her paw out to Terra, who shook it. Seeing how the two made an agreement, Gale smiled yet again.

"Ah, isn't it nice, a girl bonding with her Pokemon?" a strange voice said behind her. Spinning around, a beyond gorgeous, model-like figure was staring straight at her. This girl probably had an E-cup, much bigger than Gale's, and yet was just the right size - not too fat, not too lean. The girl had radiant reddish-brown eyes, and gorgeous raven-colored long silky hair, much longer than Gale's. She was wearing a tattered royal purple dress, which even made her look more beautiful and mysterious. Her light, lavender-colored dress shoes added even more to her features. Gale cocked her head quizzically, as if asking who she was.

"I am Rhea Bluebird Swallowtail," the girl replied. "You know Rin and Ren, correct? Well, I happened to be acquainted with them." Of course, Gale thought. Rin and Ren were long-time coordinators and battlers who worked as a pair. They both mocked Gale for her lack of Pokemon. But now, since she had Terra and Ciela, Gale could show the two what she was made of.

"Anyways," Rhea continued. "I have been chosen to battle with you every now and then. Seeing how I caught you in an IMPORTANT moment..." She seemed to stretch out the "important", "I'll show you my Pokemon, then leave. Come on out, Silk Flutter!" A beautiful Masquerain came out of the ball Rhea had thrown, but Terra and Ciela seemed...afraid of it. Gale then noticed the pattern on Silk's wings, they were shaped like eyes. And the red on her face/body, they reminded her of a mouth. So it probably figured the two would be afraid. Rhea recalled Silk, and walked away without another word, a smug look on her face.

"What's her problem?" Gale muttered under her breath. Terra and Ciela were still in a daze, probably still scared from that Masquerain. "Well," Gale continued, "better get on the road to Mauville." Turning to the path that actually LED to Mauville, Gale was about to start off when the Masquerain appeared in front of her, bearing a small gift. Gale took it from the creature, assuming it was for her, and the Masquerain flew back in the direction Rhea had left. Opening it up, a pearl white ribbon was revealed, and at this point, Gale freaked out.

"ARE THEY PSYCHIC OR SOMETHING???" she asked. "Well, at least I got my ribbon..." Getting out some super glue, she stuck it on the top portion of the Ribbon Ball, and recalled Terra. Then, getting out a icicle sticker, she stuck it on the red part of Ciela's ball to indicate which that was. She then recalled Ciela, and continued towards Mauville.

(Rhea actually spied on her with Silk. How she was able to hear the conversation Gale held with Terra is unknown, so...)

Dom was now quite a bit further down the route. Above him he could hear spokes of bicycles spinning.

I must be under Cycling Road.. Dom thought to himself. He kept on walking until he noticed something odd in the middle of the path. To be more specific, it was a Pokemon.

"That's an..Oddish; right?" Dom asked himself while his brain pondered the answer. He pulled out his PokeTech for a quick look on the data.

Oddish
The Weed Pokemon
Gender: Female

It often plants its root feet in the ground during the day and sows seeds as it walks about at night.

_____

"Well, we are going to need more than one Pokemon and an Egg if we want to succeed, right Rhyhorn?" Dom asked his Pokemon.

"Rhy, Rhyhorn!" The Pokemon cried in agreement.

"Then it's settled. Rhyhorn, get that Oddish with Stomp!" Dom commanded. Rhyhorn obeyed and charged to the unexpecting Oddish.

Rhyhorn raised it's foot and slammed down on the Oddish. The poor thing couldn't even get up. It was a one-hit knockout.

"Alright, Pokeball go!" Dom said as he chunked the red and white orb at the knocked out Pokemon.

With a flash of red, the Oddish was called into the ball. The ball shook for a few moments and stopped. The Pokemon had been succesfully caught.

"Alright, now we're talking!" Dom said as he pumped his fist in the air. "That means when this egg hatches, I'll have three Pokemon!"

Dom stuck the ball on his belt then swung his guitar around. He played a jaunty tune as he continued his journey to Mauville.

It was still late night. Sydney took a look at her PokeTech, which conveniently had a built-in watch. The time read “10:06 P.M.” She stayed awake through most of the night anyways while she was still living at home, so this hour of the day didn’t bother her much at all. She would be able to make to Mauville City at the designated time. Well, that is, if she didn’t run into anymore trouble along the way. The confrontation with her brother a few moments earlier had slowed her down a bit though, as she had her mind set more on kicking his butt one day instead of the task at hand: making it to her destination in one piece. Even though Drifloon had been returned to its Pokeball, she still held the Pokeball tightly in her hands, just in case anything was to catch her by surprise.

“I wonder if there are any other Pokemon around here…I want Drifloon to get some more experience before we get to Mahogany Town, or whatever it’s called.” Sydney divulged to herself.

Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes behind her. It sounded like it could’ve been a person, or a very large Pokemon. Syd turned around and walked over toward some hedges located between a few tall trees. A young boy who looked about thirteen or so jumped out along with what looked like a Zigzagoon but Sydney had problems telling in the darkness.

“Whoa, what the hell is your problem? Is this what little kids do at ten o’clock at night nowadays?” Syd asked in a startled tone of voice.

“Who you callin’ little? You’re just about as old as I am, ya dumb girl!” The boy rudely exclaimed.

“Uh, I’m sixteen and by the looks of you, you look like you’re around ten or so. Who are you anyways? Isn’t it past your bedtime little boy?” Syd mockingly questioned him.

“The name’s Spicer Orford and you won’t forget it neither! My brother Jack and I have been kickin’ ass and takin’ names ‘round this region and we won’t let no dumb girl try and outdo us. You wanna battle, girl? Or are you too afraid you’ll break a nail or somethin’ hahaha!” Spicer tauntingly suggested.

“Meh…you’re so immature. I need to get to Mauville City soon and all you’re doing is prolonging me from getting there even more. I guess Drifloon could use some training though…I might as well. I don’t think it’ll take that long to get to Mauville anyways.” Syd replied as she took out Drifloon’s Pokeball and threw it.

“Wooooo~” Drifloon cried as it emerged from the Pokeball.

“Alright Drifloon, let’s rock this guy’s socks. Let’s see… I think Zigzagoon is a Normal type so Ghost moves won’t work. So I’ll try this move. Drifloon, use Secret Power!” Syd ordered abruptly.

“Woo, woo!” Drifloon answered in agreement and immediately rushed towards the Zigzagoon. As it got closer to its target, Drifloon began to spin almost like a drill and glow a bright pinkish color with sparkles surrounding it.

“Oh hell naw! That Drifloon ain’t gettin’ any closer to my Ziggy! Zigzagoon, use Water Pulse now!” Spicer frustratingly yelled.

Zigzagoon instantly obeyed and quickly leaped up into the air, dodging Drifloon’s Secret Power. A ball of water formed in front of Zigzagoon’s mouth and the raccoon Pokemon dropped down to the ground, releasing Water Pulse that burst all around it. A wave of water crashed into Drifloon and sent it harshly into one of the nearby trees.

“Argh. Drifloon, you alright?” Sydney asked, looking over to her slightly injured Pokemon. Drifloon floated back up from the tree and nodded while putting its “game face” back on. “Okay, Hypnosis!”

Drifloon’s eyes changed to a very deep bluish color, and the “X” on its face began to glow brightly. It brought its hands to its “X” mouth and did something that resembled blowing a kiss, which sent an illusion “X” towards Zigzagoon. Zigzagoon’s eyes drooped and it yawned until it eventually fell into a deep slumber.

“What the-? That dumb balloon! Wake up Zigzagoon!” Spicer angrily uttered.

“Alright, now Secret Power!” Syd instructed again.

Drifloon then hurried towards Zigzagoon with its body glowing a bright pink with sparkles covering over it. It rammed into Zigzagoon and the brown Pokemon flew straight into its trainer, knocking them both out.

“Hah. Now you’ll think twice before insulting a girl won’t you?” Sydney teasingly asked as she returned Drifloon and walked further down the route to Mauville City.

Okay, this took forever. My apologies for that.

~+ In Character +~

The sun had nearly disappeared entirely into the ocean, now an eerie shade of black blue due to the rapidly dimming light, as Kelly left the Oceanic Museum, which was nearing its closing time. Her Buizel was in its Pokeball, for the Professor had suggested that a Pokemon stay in its Pokeball when in the city, though it was, as many things were, optional, and nothing more than a suggestion. She squinted in the pinkish glow out at the ocean. The waves continued to pound gently against the shores, appearing darker now, but still touched with a sliver of gold where the last rays of sunlight danced off the crystalline water. She knew her destination, though truthfully, she felt that she would likely need aid in getting there. Her gaze swept across her surroundings, falling on an Information Booth.

"Aha!" Kelly exclaimed, running to the booth, where a bored looking man was sitting. "I need a map please." She said smoothly. The man's eyes surveyed the speaker, a rather surprised look on his face. It was clear that he didn't expect anyone to come to the booth at this time.

"Which kind?" He asked, gesturing to the row of maps behind him.

"Er...a map of the Hoenn Region?" Kelly answered his question hesitantly. The man turned and reached for a map at the right side of the rack, handing it to Kelly, who accepted the map.

"That'll be 50 yen." He said, his voice bored and uninterested, as if this had become all too routine for him. Kelly nodded, reaching into her Pocket and pulling out the money she kept in there, counting out the desired amount, and handing it to the man, who took it and stowed it away in a container, the expression on his face never changing. Kelly took the map and walked quickly away, glad to be away from the Information Booth.

--+--+--+--+--

“Ugh,” Kelly said, as she walked quickly past a dock. The entire area here smelled strongly of fish, something she preferred dead and served on a plate in lemon juice as opposed to lying limply in enormous nets in the ships. She spied several sailors laughing ahead of her and quickened her pace, making her way around them. She’d be out of this area soon, in fact, she’d be out of Slateport, and on her way to…Mauville, she believed, yes, it was Mauville.

--+--+--+--+--

The air on the route was crisp and cool, and smelled of earth with a defined scent of damp leaves and grass. It was so unlike the, though sometimes only slightly, fish tinged scent of Slateport City that she couldn’t quite believe that she had just left Slateport City. Unsure of what she was to do, save for follow the route, which would likely take her to Mauville, or it should.

“Buizel, come on out!” Kelly said, taking out a Pokeball, feeling that she would prefer to have company at the moment. A weasel like Pokémon appeared, stretching its neck upward and blinking.

“Hey there Buizel, come on, let’s keep on going,” Kelly suggested, gesturing to the area in front of them. However, it became apparent that Buizel was the one who preferred to lead. In an instant, he had scurried in front and begun walking. Kelly followed, careful not to lose sight of her Pokémon, when she heard a cry from Buizel.
“Bui buizel bui!”

“What is it?” Kelly cried, alarmed, as she bounded forward. A Pokémon resembling a teddy bear stood in front of Buizel, its head cocked to one side as it surveyed this strange Pokémon, an expression of curiosity on its face.

“Awww!” Kelly sighed, it was obviously one of the cutest Pokémon she had ever seen, though she was unsure of its name. As she pondered this, trying to remember if she had seen this Pokémon somewhere before, perhaps back at home, her PokeTech sprang to life.

Teddiursa
The Little Bear Pokémon

The PokeTech recited in a cool, mechanical voice, which was flat and emotionless, though that was to be expected of a mechanical device such as the PokeTech.

If it finds honey, its cresent mark glows. It allows its paws to be soaked with honey so that it can lick them all the time, and it also makes its own honey by blending fruits and pollen collected by Beedrill. They also have a habit of hoarding food in many hidden locations before food becomes scarce during the wintertime.

Surely enough, the Teddiursa lifted a paw to its mouth and drew its tongue across it as the PokeTech ended its recitation.

“Its adorable!” Kelly commented, though at that Buizel gave her a strange look, as if he believed she were truly crazy, it seemed that he didn’t care much for the Teddiursa. “And I’m going to catch it, come on Buizel!”
