I really liked this game. It was a great new style of this game. Except it was too easy. I liked it and all, except there was no real challenge here. I just won the game and noticed it only took two days for me to win it. I'm not really satisfied with this game. The last game took 3 months for me to complete and provided a greater challenge. I like all the new features in the game but the game was way too easy. I was able to beat Darkrai without trying. Does anyone else think this game was too easy?

The next boss should be easier.

The fact that's easier is a relief for me.. >>; Mainly because after a certain point I didn't even bother finishing the first game. I kept getting stuck in places, and I didn't like the game enough to try much harder, and actually complete it. :/

But I'm gonna give the new one a try, and hopefully I'll like it better..

Yeah, Darkrai was cake, I was being extremly reckless and I used 2 of the Five Magnetons I had brought with me.

Then again, I just got it for the transfers

I would have to agree it's too easy (except Regigigas), even compared to ranger 1. But at least it's longer.

Its easy for me. I think it is because I was really good in the original. So to play this one didn't give me as much of a challenge as the original.

I just completed the manaphy egg and riolu missions. They were easy, I got two nice Pokemon though!

I think I find the first Ranger more challenging simply because you're stuck with an electric-type throughout the entire game.

Yes. ALso the fact every time you lost the line you had to start over.

people are finding easy because of the same reason of which is they have completed pokemon ranger 1 if you completed pokemon ranger 1 then you already know how to do alot of things and it would seem very easy to them.

some people however that may not have played pokemon ranger 1 may find it a bit hard only for some people though.

I think it's WAY better then the first one, i beat the first one in 2 days + all the speical missions except for the egg one, it got to boring. I love this one and all it's new features and im on my 2nd day of playing it and im only on rank 3 :)

I think it's ridiculously easy compared to the first. :| I haven't had a SINGLE problem with ANYTHING in this game--I think I'm right near the end (I'm climbing the Altru tower or whatever) and no boss has given me a challenge. It was only in the last mission that my styler's charge even dropped below half.

Not to mention Pokémon can follow you everywhere--I usually have an amazing team with one or two slots open for Pokémon I need to get around the field and the rest is reserve for battles and whatnot. I actually really like how I can bring my Cherrim everywhere (♥) but it's still way too easy.

But the most annoying part of the whole game? It treats you like an idiot. Not only did they dumb down the capture system so they could advertise it as a "pick up and play" Pokémon game, but the game text is so redundant. Almost anyone with the reading skills to play this game knows basic directions. Tell someone to head east and they already know they're heading to the right side of their game screen. So it's not necessary to append every direction with an arrow. It really, really bothers me to see stuff like, "Hey ____ you have a mission in Pueltown! That's north (↑) of here. Go through the forest and when you get there, go talk to this guy. Remember, you want to go north (↑) of Vieltown!" >:| I mean, if they just put an arrow the first time they referenced a direction, or how to get to a town, fine. But everytime? And sometimes twice in the same explanation? It's almost insulting. :(

The game is easy compared to the first one. I still haven't completed the first one. They seemed to have dumber everything down, capture is way to simple with that whole friendship bar thing. first one was much better.

@Lightning: I hated the directions. It made the game so boring having them tell you exactly where to go. Also being told exactly what needed to be done made it no fun. I like to have a bit of a puzzle. But they tell you what pokemon would work for the job and everything. Not to far in though. Got annoyed with the simplicity of it.

I really like this game, but I'll definitely echo the "easy" reviews. It's repayable, but just because it's cute and fun, not because it's an amazing mental exercise. =)

That was probably the one thing that stuck out to me the most. I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was weird. The directions were the strangest part for me. (Even more than the fact that you get classic case of hero-stupid when it comes to deciphering Dim Sun's clues.) I like the game, a lot, but my goodness, I've passed the third grade, I know how to figure out N/E/W/S.

I will admit I loved the styler adaptation simply because I lost so much time on the original Ranger trying to reloop something. No more attacks to worry over, no more "oh whyyy" if the styler goes up, etc. That and the charges made me happy. So much easier to catch stuff now. XD

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one too. XD; I mean, the obvious clues were fine--it IS a game geared at kids--but really? Arrows? I hear they weren't in the Japanese version so I don't know what made them add them to the English version. :/ I mean, it's not even like the map is confusing. Often when they're giving you directions, there's no where else to go. Especially in the beginning where everywhere but the place they're making you go is blocked off anyway. It was just... augh. XD;

I didn't like the new styler function in the sense that it makes the game waaaay too easy, but I must admit it is nice to not have to worry when my line is broken. XD; I tend to get pretty cocky and continue my line even when it's probably going to break and now that there's no penalty for it, I'm having waaaay fewer problems than before. But... it still takes all the challenge out of the game for me. ._.

I think the story mode was too easy, then the capture arena was haaaaaaaaaaaaard
