Community Game

Hey... I am looking to make a community game website, like Habbo Hotel (http://habbohotel.co.uk). my friend is thinking about helping.
I might use the Cowtoons Workshop engine (http://cowtoon.com). Can someone help me out? I wanna make this worth my time and effort.

In the plans i have it will be powered by:
php
mysql
javascript (?)
and all the coke in my fridge.

PHP, MySQL, and Javascript can't make a game unless it's a text adventure. Habbo Hotel uses Shockwave which has no Linux surport which is bad for people who uses Linux like me. Are you planning to have this web based or a downloadable? A web based game could use Java, not Javascript, like Runescape or Flash, I guess. A downloadable could use Python, C/C++, and many others but require learning. I can't help, would be cool if I could.

humm... i was going to use flash. not shockwave. and why is there no shockwave support for linux?

It could only be text from what you're suggesting... unless you used multiple image layers... like that RPG thing for IPB...

i wanted to make a flash/php based game like: http://www.cowtoon.com/isolite/. iirc that is flash and needs php/mysql/socket server.

I'm useless at PHP/MySQL (I can use em, but don't know the codes). I'm good at sites tho, I could help you out with the site for it.
