I seriously dont get this Pokemon. 108 spirits traped, then broken free?

What does this mean, and do you like the fact that it has no weakness?

As for me, i did hate it when i was fighting Cynthia in Pearl. Had to do the Elite 4 bout say 6 times. My Infernape always got knocked out. But i got lucky and i beat her. Now, I can wup Spiritomb and Cynthia to the Moon. XDDDDDD

... Kay, from what I gather, you're asking about it having no weakness and all that. But since you're just talking about Spiritomb from the games, it belongs in the Diamond / Pearl / Platinum forum~

Spiritomb is awesome. The combined essence of 108 evil souls bound to a fissure in a keystone? AWESOME.

And yeah, the Elite Four has always been easy.

Well, here's the story on Spiritomb if you don't get it. Spiritomb is composed of 108 spirits trapped in a stone for doing bad deeds 500 years ago. The spirits that form Spiritomb would be the purple / green portal you see (aka it's face). The light brown rock that it is bound to is the Odd Keystone, which is the stone it was trapped in. According to sources, Spiritomb is based on the spirit that is bound to a single place, called the Jibakurei. It is also based on a Buddhist tradition performed in Japan; a bell rings 108 times to chase away the 108 temptations of some sort in order to acheive nirvana. It's funny how Spiritomb is composed of 108 spirits, the bell rings 108 times to chase away 108 temptations, and it is also #108 in Sinnoh's regional PokeDex. :D

I love Spiritomb, and I totally don't mind the fact that it has no weaknesses. It makes it a little harder to take down, but is still 100% beatable. It's durable, and makes a pretty nice wall and annoyer.

In Mystery Dungeon Time, when you beat an angry Spiritomb the spirits shrink back inside the Keystone and it cries, "r-r-r-r-RUN AWAY!!!!!" xDDDD, and then it hops off.

I find it odd it has no weakness; being a bunch of spirits and all you'd think it would be a Ghost or Dark type.

EDIT: Wait a minute!! It IS a Ghost/Dark type!! http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Spiritomb

Spiritomb is a fine Pokémon and all (specially its 108 references...), but the only time I dislike them is when hackers somewhere hack them with Wonder Guard. Good thing I have at least 1 Pokémon with Fire Fang...
