Useless Pokemon: Probabably Dunsparce, Bidoof, Sunkern, Magikarp and Feebas. I find Dunsparce the most useless because at least the others evolve :\
Annoying Pokemon: Definitely Zubat, Geodude and Bidoof. Even though Zubat and Geodude turn up more often, I still feel Bidoof is the most annoying Pokemon ever! :(

Tenta-bloody-cool. Every sea is full of them, and they do nothing. You can't train grass-types against them, they give you no XP and poison you when you're stuck in the middle of the ocean.

Magikarp: I hate it how there is always that irritating trainer in the game who has six of them!
Zubat: I hate it when they manage to confuse me or poison my pokemon when I'm trying to train!

Bronzor: I hate this pokemon. It has like, no weaknesses, extremely high defenses, and knows confuse ray. Do I need to explain this one? x_x
Graveler: I hate the Graveler that are always on Victory Road and will use Explosion 95% of the time if you don't knock them out on the first turn! They're just horrible.

Useless Pokemon:

Jynx: She has horrible stats and can't learn many moves. I don't understand why she didn't get an evolution like Tangela, Magmar and Electabuzz!
Volbeat/Illumise: What is with all of these useless pokemon that don't evolve? They aren't good for anything, have horrible stats, and are begging for evolutions! It irritates me how these pokemon are made when they are completely useless.
Wigglytuff: I love the Jigglypuff evolutionary line, but Wigglytuff is just useless in the video games. Besides its high HP, it is completely outclassed by Clefable. : /
Luvdisc: Just horrible.

And pretty much any pokemon that has horrible stats, is fully evolved (or doesn't evolve), and is not good for anything annoys me. >_< Why are these pokemon created when they aren't good for anything? In my opinion, every single pokemon that is fully evolved should be useful in some way, and not just be 'fillers' in the pokedex. : /

I don't understand why so many people say Magikarp. It evolves into Gyarados! That makes it absolutely useful. Not only that, Magikarp is one of the best pokemon to level up IMO. I try to catch it at the lowest level possible so I can have more time training it. I've played through D/P twice so far, and I've had Magikarp/Gyarados both times so far, and I don't see why that would change when I get Platinum next month. I've also used Magikarp and Gyarados in all of the previous generations.

I would have to agree with Lila on the annoying pokemon, especially Bronzor! You mentioned everything I hate about it, and it doesn't even give out enough XP to train. One of my favorite spots to train in D/P is right below cycling road because the Ponyta give out such high XP. I always manage to run into more Bronzor though. Grrrr.

And anyone who has anything bad to say about the Magikarp man in all the games can come see me! As annoying as that battle is, I always find it amusing. Except when I'm using the VS Seeker, and accidently end up challenging him again. Argh!

Who doesn't think that that little bat thing's annoying? Zubat and his buddy Golbat have been in every cave in every game and still are. I could stand them, if they would actually let me run away and wouldn't abouse Supersonic or Confure Ray in every single battle. They are the only reason I bring Repels with me when I go into some cave. It's a pain when I want to catch something in that cave and then all I find is Zubat/Golbat.

Sometimes I just want to shoot my DS.

I find just about all pre-evolutions useless. I see no point in them existing except for being fillers for completing your Pokedex. Most of them are very weak, and they cannot breed until you evolve them which makes chain breeding annoying.

As for annoying, definitely Zubat and Golbat. Zubat for being so common in caves and Golbat for being common and faster then most of my Pokemon.

I don't think any Pokemon is useless, honestly. Even Magikarp becomes Gyrados. What's so useless about Gyrados? I used to kick butt in Red and Blue with my Gyrados. Metapod becomes Butterfree. She might not have the best stats; but she is one heckuva Pokemon! And, regardless of rather or not the Pokemon evolves; you can make due. I beat a game once with a Plusle in my party. Everyone says Plusle is useless because he doesn't evolve, though. xD

Now, as far as annoying goes, it used to annoy me when I so much as turned around in a cave and I'd run into a zubat! Ugg... and it seems to get worse in every game.

As for the thread's quetion, Zubat is the most annoying when encountered in the wild, but I don't think any Pokemon deserves to be called "useless".

I like Dunsparce, probably because I was breeding for a Modest/Serence Grace and got it first go!

Most annoying is definately Zubat or Bidoof, but at least with Bidoof when you use tackle the move hit's it right in the face... Brilliant!

I actually found Wrap to be a really useful move if you've got a pokemon with high speed, because you could use several times in a row without the other guy even getting a go. :P

I had a great Victreebell that I used for catching pokemon. Take away most of the wild pokemon's health with a powerful move, then put it to sleep with sleep powder, then use wrap until it's got a miniscule bit of health left, throw a ball and you're done. I love Wrap. :)

The most annoying for me would be Bidoof/Bibarel. I really hate those horrible cries and disturbing features... @_x;;

Though generally not for anything in the games, I hate Mudkip because of the whole stupidly annoying "So I herd you liek Mudkipz" thing. Thankfully, its fully evolved form is awesome. ^^

Zubat and Golbat are terribly annoying... especially when a lot of the time, when you're travelling through caves, they are ALL you will encounter. If you've got a slower Pokemon at the same or a close level as a Golbat, say goodbye to a chance of a getaway without taking damage or getting confused, so that when you change your mind and decide to kill it, you'll hit yourself out of confusion... >.< (in my experience, it takes about 3 attempts to flee from a Golbat, when your Pokemon is at a similar level to it)

Kricketot and Kricketune; the latter especially annoys me, because of that horrific cry... it makes my ears bleed... ;-; Whenever I see one come into battle, I turn the volume down really quickly.

As for useless, the only one I'll go with is Unown. Magikarp and Abra at least have a reason for sucking; they evolve into more awesome Pokemon, later on. Unown don't evolve and like has been said, has only one attack; Hidden Power.

Zigzagoon: I swear, if there is anything that made your third generation games a disappointment, it's probably down to Zigzagoon. Not only did the fox-dog-cat-beaver creature pop up everywhere, it was also a complete waste of time battling him, because the experience points you received were not worth it at all. I don't know how many times I must've run from Zigzagoon while I played through my game, but I'm betting if I put all that time into writing a presidential victory speech, it'd end up better than Obama's.

Zubat: Call me bias if you will, but this Pokémon here managed to secure a place in the top five by running into me in Mount Moon when I restarted my Firered a while ago. Now, I admit that by reading that sentence alone, I look like an utter prick who's so worried about his valuable time on earth that he can't stand running into a measly Zubat because it might delay him, but I assure you that this is not the case! The Pokémon I encountered was a shiny; alternately coloured; unbelievably rare. So I'm excited and happy. I'm going to catch a shiny! I whittle his hit points down a bit and it hits red a couple of seconds later. So I decided that was enough; I look in my bag to find a Poké Ball to throw at him, and I find out that I have none left. Devastated, I smash my Gameboy Advance against the wall. Havn't played Firered since. Other irritating facts about the bat is that it always attacks you at the wrong time; normally when your last Pokémon is poisoned and you need to get to a Pokémon Center.

Mewtwo: Not necessarily one of the Pokémon you instantly hate because of its looks or its power, but moreso the amount of effort and humiliation put into catching it. After you eventually make it lose a bit of its health, it gets it back by using Recover. After that, it proceeds to reveal that it was just playing with you and destroys half of your team. Then it evades sixty Ultra Balls, so you're forced to waste a Master Ball on a Pokémon you're never going to use. Not a cool cat.

Dunsparce: Why am I posting a sprite of Dunsparce in this thread? I don't know. It doesn't make sense, does it? Why would Ken choose to create some sort of mixture of a lizard and a fish? I don't know either. It also doesn't make sense. In fact, Dunsparce's pitiful existence doesn't make sense. It can't do anything; it doesn't follow up any sort of side-quest. At all. It's only there for people to finish their PokéDex, and that's not a proper reason at all. Have you realised that every Pokémon has some sort of function? That they aren't entirely useless? Hell, Magicarp exists to evolve into Gyrados. What about Dunsparce? Nope, nothing. Easily one of the most overlooked, unloved, neglected and useless Pokémon of all time.

Quilfish: If you ask the general Pokémon gaming population what a Quilfish is, they'll look at you blankly. And that's okay. I'm not surprised and I don't really blame them. Why? Because the Pokémon doesn't serve any sort of purpose at all. Much like Dunsparce, it only existed to be caught in swarms to show how high-tech Pokémon Gold and Silver were.

I hate training Magikarp. It has to be the single most uselessly annoying and annoyingly useless Pokémon ever. Yes, it evolves into Gyarados but you have to work damned hard to get to that stage (Especially if you're at the beginning of the game). Training him up earlier took me the best part of an hour and a half, and that's using an emulator with the speed toggle on. Would have taken me at least 3 on a normal Game Boy!

That said, i'm reaping the benefits now with Gyarados. I've only got 3 badges and he's already at level 50. 95% of the training is from trainer battles (I raised him 4 or so levels in Diglett's Cave before I fought Surge), and i've been offered very little challenge from anyone so far.

So in short, Magikarp is awful to train, but it's worth it for Gyarados imo.

Personally I don't reckon any pokemon is deemed 'useless' to me. At least the ones that are ineffective in combat have some uses in contests =P.

Most annoying pokemon... lets see:
Zubat: Now don't get me wrong here, I love Zubat coz they're so adorable and cuddly to my opinion =D, and they're good sweepers towards the end, if they evolve that is.
The major problem with them is the fact they overpopulate in caves and every criminal organisation (Rocket, Magma, Aqua and Galactic) have these pokemon with them which can get on my nerves.

Tentacool: Yea, those buggers drive me nuts, no really. They're way too common out at sea and they literally drive me nuts. Trainers out at sea also raise them and they can be a pain when it comes to defense and the fact they can confuse you.

Zigzagoon: They're like everywhere in Hoenn and it's really annoying. Plus, most of the beginning trainers have them. Nonetheless, they are useful HMers to my opinion.

Bidoof: Similar reasons to the Zigzagoon, those overpopulating Bidoofs seems to be everywhere in Sinnoh games, and yea, it's kinda frustrating to see them everywhere.

Magikarp: They appear too much when you fish, not just Old and Good Rod but Super Rod too aww =(.

The pokemon I hate are any pokemon that is totally useless until it evolves or gets to level like 13 or something, or only knows bide until then, except magikarp.
Why? Because it's magikarp's only claim to fame, that you have to switch it out. Honestly, seedot is totally a stupid pokemon, it only learns bide and whenever I use it my opponents use nothing but tail whip for two turns and then hit me when my defense is low as soon as bide isn't in effect.

I think magikarp is a cool pokemon, because you get a real feeling of accomplishment when you beat the elite four with a gyrados that you trained from a level five magikarp (I did this on diamond).

I also like zubat, because it's one of the only pokemon you can get early in the game that evolves by happiness, and for some reason i think that's cool (I wish it didn't show up in caves all the time though)

The pokemon I hate the most is definitely bibarrel or bronzong. Bibarrel is ugly, useless, and stupid, and the only shiny pokemon I ever found was a bibarrel, which somehow makes me hate them even more >:( Bronzong sucks because it is freaking impossible to beat, it took down all of my pokemon and it was five levels lower than all of them too.

Arceus is annoying just because it's more powerful than any pokemon in the game, but it can only be got from an event. This just bugs me, especially the fact that if you hack yourself to the area where he is there's no way to get out. Nintendo would rather have our games be totally broken then let us get the strongest pokemon in the game without having to wait for the event to come to the U.S? What the heck?

I have a long list of Pokemon that annoy me, though.

For some reason, the first one to come to mind is Miltank. I think that Gym battle way back in G/S/C is still stuck in my as one of the most annoying Gym challenges ever. & It's been like.. at least 7 years since I've fought that battle last.

Spinda, Dunsparce, Burmy, etc. And a whole lot of 'em.

But the one I find most annoying is Bronzong, and you know why. The bell chimes and it's very hard to beat, especially on the hands of an Elite 4. And stupid Bidoof's has the ticket to insanity.
