This is a Halo-based RP. To put it simply, it begins sometime after the events of Halo 2 after the Covanent has been repelled from Earth's shores. after an era of relative peace and rebuilding (including the restart of the SPARTAN program), humans once again rose th banners of war, this time against each other. The Reds and the Blues warred viciously against each other, neither side gaining an advantage. Blood Gulch earned its grim cognomon thrice over. The fights even extended into remote locations such as Thw Wizard and between the ruins of abandoned ships. All that ended when both sides lost contact with the outposts placed on the icy planet, Sidewinder. Both sides sent teams to investigate. None were ever heard from again. Fearing a resurgance of Covanent activity, the Reds and the Blues went into an uneasy truce and began sending forces slowly towards Sidewinder.

Name: John O'Malley
Armor color: Freelancer black

Weapons carried: Assault rifle, shotgun
Occupation: Freelancer

And I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you wore
And I'm lost inside a bar
And I'm drunk inside a war
And I wonder where you are

I sung quietly to myself inside my helmet again and again as we neared our dustoff site on Sidewinder. Tex had been gone for years now and I still sung her a little dirge each time I started a new mission. Outwardly, I gave every appearance of total confidence, checking my weapons and occasionally giving an order to my small unit in the complex military hand code. Blue Command had contacted me, one of the new SPARTANS for a small command position with a unit headed to Sidewinder for post-recon and mop-up. It paid better than my previous job with the Reds and I willingly jumped ship. I fealt a sudden halt of forward momentum as the transport started descending for a landing.

I was in the transport, and kept a firm hold on the plasma grenade I was altering as we began the descent. The pay for this job wasn't the best I had seen, but I had to keep myself fed, so I finally hired myself out to military contractors.

I jumped lightly out of the transport, shotgun and AR heald steady in two directions. The way the mission had been phrased mad it sound like a heavy assault mission, but this...There was nothing around. Motioning to two of my soldiers, I put my weapons away and jumped into the driver's seat of an older-model Warthog. Flipping on my radio, I ordered a quick "Fan out, groups of two" to the rest of the unit as the two Marines with me hopped into the remaining spaces on the vehicle. I floored the petal and shot off on a basic scout loop towards both bases in this canyon.

I had been in the transport as well, I had fooled most into thinking I was male, there was no way I'd let them know I was female. once I was acertained that nothing was out there, I too disembarked the transport, making sure my rocket launcher was loaded.

As the transport landed, I resealed the plasma grenade, and took off. My orders were sketchy at best, and as long as I stayed in line with those parameters, the rest was up to me.

I saw the old Warthogs, and was instantyl alarmed. i had been baned from driving any vehicle that couldn't fly or float at least. this could be becasue while I was an excellent flyer, I was useless on the ground. I'd be stuck usign the guns. which was fine with me, now I had to con somebody into driving..

I hopped into one of the warthogs, and after muttering something about an old pos, drove up to the person in the dark red armor, with a considerable ammount of skill. "Mind taking the guns?" I asked "I don't exactly trust the marines."

I skidded to a stop in front of the old Red base. The check of the ground and upper levels went quickly, everything was spotless and in perfect condition. When I went below with the rest of the marines, though, it was a different story. I was glad of the air filters in my helmet, the stnch of gore must have been overwhelming. mangled bodies lay everywhere, mutilated and massacred. All of them were human. I pulled out my shotgun, motioning for my marines to do the same. A pistol and Needler appeared in their hands as we progressed deeper into the base, encountering the same situation. No alien bodies appeared at all.

"certainly" I said with a smile. though not like anyone could see it under the helet, and my voice had been altered to sound exatly like a man. they'd never let a woman onto the battlefield. I hopped into the back of the vehicle, and prepared the guns. now, just to hope there would be something i could shoot..

I remained commentless as I shifted into drive, and took off. The intonations of that voice had been... Wrong, somehow. But I moved on, time to contemplate this in a non-combat area.
