Is there one available?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's a program used to record what's happening on your computer screen and is often used to record ROM videos.

No, I don't want any stupid little trials that only record for 60 seconds. I want the real deal, so... is there a free downloadable screen capture program out there?

Visual Boy Advance has a built in video capture tool. There really aren't any free screen capture programs which don't show their watermark.

Have you tried google searching for one yet? though I heard good things about Camtasia (http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp) it may be a trial but there shouldn't be any problems at all

Why not take a look over at the Jing Project (http://www.jingproject.com/)

I think Hypercam (http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/) is a free one, just couldn't remember it when I was reading this thread D:

He's looking for programs which don't put any watermark on the output.

Oh, I was sure it was hypercam that was free and didn't put any watermark on

I've downloaded Jing and I must say, it looks like it's exactly what I was looking for.
I won't know for sure until I try it out for real, but it looks like a very good program.

Haven't tried it, but according to Wikipedia, it's an open source alternative to Fraps.

Camtasia, Taksi, Camstudio are all OK. Fraps is useful only with 3d software, but it makes perfect captures. To access the default screen capture for Visual boay advance, look through the menus. It was in there somewhere. I recorded my stuff in lossless perfect quality using that. (Which, admitedly, doesn't work well with VLC media player. That thing has an issue with lossless codecs)
