View Full Version : Something that will make a Pokemon Sad...

April 17th, 2009, 7:23 PM
Opinions anyone?

What would you think make a Pokemon sad?

Just state a Pokemon, and something that would make it sad... :(

*Don't Cry Pikachu! *:(

P.S. = Tears of Sorrow and Tears of Joy are not the same! :cer_cry:

April 17th, 2009, 7:25 PM
I'm sure if I kick a Pichu in a face, that would make it sad...and might give it a migraine...

April 17th, 2009, 7:26 PM
I'll give an example:

Pikachu cries because its Ketchup was gone! :(

P.S. = That was Episode uhmmm... I forgot the number..

April 17th, 2009, 7:27 PM
If you took away Pinkachu's ketchup he would be sad. :(
lolol We were thinking the same thing...

April 17th, 2009, 7:45 PM
Maybe if you don't give your pokemon food and gifts. It will feel sad. :[

April 17th, 2009, 7:46 PM
If you don't play with a pokemon enough, it will be sad :'(

April 17th, 2009, 7:52 PM
Another is

When you tire a Pokemon too much in battles, it will be sad...

P.S. = Sorrows... :(

April 17th, 2009, 8:01 PM
Pikachu cries because its Ketchup was gone! :(

Pikachu would not cry over not having ketchup. Pikachu would view the situation in a philosophical manner, understanding that the state of having or not having ketchup does not define his own actions i.e. he is not bound into sadness by a normally dismal situation. Pikachu would understand that his happiness is not determined by the haves or have nots of material desire, but by his perception of the world around him. Pikachu would not cry over a lack of ketchup.

As for the topic, turning Ash into stone. That gets some mon-tears flowing.

April 17th, 2009, 8:25 PM
Well, we all have our own opinions.

It depends on how we watch or see it...

Well, for another, taking a toy from a toddler Pokemon would make it sad.

P.S. = I still want some Ketchup! ;)

April 17th, 2009, 8:25 PM
Nidoran(girl) and Nidoran(boy) can't see each other in one of those early episodes. They were sad.

April 18th, 2009, 12:15 AM
..well.. maybe you should ask me..

..what makes me sad is.. when my trainer.. dosen't talk to me..
..or play with me.. :'(

April 18th, 2009, 12:24 AM
A Pokemon cries when it is a Cubone. Adorable critter :3

April 18th, 2009, 2:00 AM
Mudkipz cry when you say you don't liek them.

April 18th, 2009, 2:18 AM
Cubones mother getting murdered by Team Rocket. XD And I'd think Cubone's mother (aka. Marowak) would be pretty sad too, if it wasn't dead. ;)

Though, I'd think if a Pokemon couldn't find its owner, then it'd be sad. :(

April 18th, 2009, 5:21 AM
Being a Sunkern could be a reason to be sad. Think about it - you, by the games, are the weakest Pokemon ever. By the dex, you defend youself by shaking your leaves at predators. Not much going for you, right? And there's not that much chance for Trainers to catch you - the best you'll ever be is a Sunflora. Heck, at least Magikarp can one day be a Gyarados, which is by far a more popular Pokemon, but not that many really dig the forgetable Sunflora, so getting someone to catch you and hence give you protection from the wild isn't likely.

Please, people. Think of the Sunkern.

Other stuff...umm let's see. Being a Shedinja on a Sandstorm team, for one...not getting fed (that'd make anyone upset, really)... being a Slowpoke nowhere near a water source (meaning no nearby Shelder = no way to evolve... although tbh, the Slowpokes probably don't mind that much, being slow and all -_-)...

April 18th, 2009, 5:25 AM
Cubone's mother found peace in the end. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyS3rZSVtfM) She isn't sad.

you, by the games, are the weakest Pokemon ever.

That position is taken by Luvdisc.

April 18th, 2009, 10:08 AM
omg, you're right. The best thing they have going for them is the Heart Scale.

April 18th, 2009, 10:17 AM
If you only want to battle with i and not befriend it.

April 18th, 2009, 10:31 AM
- Stealing a Heart Scale then releasing Luvdisc
- Using your Azumarill to defeat a gym leader then
trade it to some random by stander kid (Paul)
- Being in that porygon episode that gave some
500 kids seizures because everyone will hate you.
- Being Pikachu because you'll never get to evolve
- Being a ditto. You have no identity. Your identity
is everyone else's.
- Being Smeargle. You're an awfully good painter, but
no one gives a damn. They just care about sending you
out in battle to get crushed and obliterated by a move like
Leech Seed.
- Falling off a cliff when all your pokemon are looking
- keep them away from the Daycare Centre ;)
- Being a ditto who finds out the child that hatched out of
the egg never resembles her/himself.
- Bibarel. Never gets any spotlight in the battle field,
but is a slave when it comes to the actual field.
- Bidoof. You're scared of growing. You don't ever want
to become a Bibarel. Ever.
- Being Magikarp. You're waiting to evolve into gyarados
but it's completely impossible to train a Level 5 Splashtastic
Magikarp whom got purchased for $500 into an amazing
- Being Feebas. You hate eating Beauty blocks OVER and
OVER and OVER and OVEr and OVer and Over and over and...
*10 hours later* and o...ver... ov..er... Penumbra fainted!
- Being a wild Silcoon, Cascoon, Metapod, or Kakuna. All you can
do is wait to die, and use Harden as a last-resort attempt to live.
- Being any legendary pokemon in the Anime. They forever wonder
this simple question: "Why didn't Ash catch me?" :(

Anyway that's all I could think of.

In the first episode w/ brock in pokemon advanced, pikachu cries when all the pokeblock is gone.

April 18th, 2009, 12:15 PM
I think if a Pokémon happens to get lost and is left all alone in a dark forest at night that would make it sad, lonely, and frightened too.

April 18th, 2009, 2:12 PM
I'm sure if I kick a Pichu in a face, that would make it sad...and might give it a migraine...

That made me lol XD; But the thread starter DID specify no violence, so try to keep it clean from now on :3

April 18th, 2009, 2:14 PM
Something that will make a pokemon sad is being the pokemon of a mean trainer. A pokemon will be sad if it is treated wrong.

~Bliss :)

April 18th, 2009, 2:35 PM
How about being the partner character in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon? The main character fades from existance at some point, so that's sure to make the partner sad.

April 18th, 2009, 3:40 PM
If you took away cubone's bone, it will be very sad!

April 18th, 2009, 4:33 PM
you, by the games, are the weakest Pokemon ever.

That position is taken by Luvdisc. I'm inclined to agree - and after all, given the amount of Heart Scales in the Underground I personally believe that trainers way back then thought so too... -_- But Sunkern has the lowest base stats out of any Pokemon, IIRC.

April 18th, 2009, 4:54 PM
What would you think make a Pokemon sad?

I'd be inclined to say a Poké Ball with no air holes.

April 18th, 2009, 5:55 PM
Another one would be not encouraging your pokemon to its dream goal. :)

April 18th, 2009, 7:02 PM
If your Pokémon was to lose something valuable to it, that might get it terribly sad.

Also, if your Pokémon was in love with another, but was rejected that will make it even more depressed; not to forget heartbroken.

EDIT: After reading this, I hope it never happens to any Pokémon out there.

April 18th, 2009, 7:33 PM
A pokemon cries when you take it to a big open place, tell it you'll be right back, then leave it standing there and go home and eat cookies. Make sure your pokemon doesn't know where your home is, or at least how to get to your home from that location or your in for a world of hurt.

April 18th, 2009, 7:46 PM
well if I were a rock type/fire type i would get bumbed if I got splashed with water
or if i was meowth and i lost my charm (referance to anime) or if i were a hippip and i was about to eat a taco and the wind blew me away i would get very unhappy

April 19th, 2009, 12:01 PM
One thing that would make a Pichu sad is that if a Pikachu made fun of how it faints every time it uses thundershock.

~Bliss :)

April 19th, 2009, 12:07 PM
using it as an HM slave and never battling it.
Keeping it in the PC all the time
Battling it against much higher level pokemon while you revive your better pokemon
A big hammer?
^^ I think that upsets everyone yes?

April 19th, 2009, 12:12 PM
If you took away cubone's bone, it will be very sad!

Cubone is EVERYTIME sad. But just try to take away his bone, and you will feel a buckle growing on your head... he isn´t wearing that weapon for nothing, you know. =)

April 19th, 2009, 12:45 PM
Something that will make a pokemon sad is when the trainer forces it to breed with a ditto when it's not interested, That would make a pokemon really sad. :c

Oblivion Reaper 2.0
April 19th, 2009, 2:19 PM
take away it's food...that would suck

April 19th, 2009, 7:09 PM
If you took away cubone's bone, it will be very sad!

Never mind, comment too inappropriate :3.

Let's see, if you stole a computer language from an Alakazam, it would be so sad, it'd write a suicide script in another language.

Also, you can make a Porygon sad by learning C#. Yep, it's true. By the time you learn C#, they try to kill so you can't program an anti-Pokemon.

April 19th, 2009, 8:45 PM
Not giving a Pokemon a gift for Christmas or it's Birthday... Or even not remembering those events, will sure make it sad!

P.S. = Oh My Gosh... I forgot to give Pichu a gift for his birthday! :(

"Shadow Lugia"
April 19th, 2009, 9:31 PM
Having to be Jessie's pokemon. She's pretty scary (in a creepy sort of way), and Wobbuffet is smarter than her.

April 20th, 2009, 6:06 AM
Taking away a Clamperl's pearl would make it feel terrible. It would make me feel terrible as well. xD

April 20th, 2009, 8:32 PM
probably if you start a kind and loving relationship with the pokemon and you cheat on the pokemon...that should make it sad

April 20th, 2009, 8:46 PM
You tell your pokemon that it's not loved and that you want him to know that.

April 20th, 2009, 8:50 PM
Taking away a Clamperl's pearl would make it feel terrible. It would make me feel terrible as well. xD
Noo, taking away a Spoink's pearl will make it feel sad because it would spend days looking for a replacement.

April 20th, 2009, 9:20 PM
I guess they will be sad if their trainer said to them that they are useless.

April 20th, 2009, 9:35 PM
That's easy. Because Pokémon are like animals, neglecting them will make them sad. Giving them food they don't like and forcing them to eat it will make them sad. No love = no joy. Simple as that.

April 20th, 2009, 9:43 PM
Sprinkle water on a Sudowoodo. :)

April 21st, 2009, 1:12 AM
Telling your pokemon that if it doesn't do better you will abandon it.

April 21st, 2009, 4:08 AM
Using POKEMON for PROFIT! :(

And not attending to their DAILY NEEDS! :(

P.S. = NOBODY TREATS MY PICHU A SLAVE! Do Not Disturb it! :)

April 21st, 2009, 4:23 AM
A Pokémon will be sad if the trainer dosen't have interest in his/her Pokémon...

April 21st, 2009, 4:39 AM
Turning it into a Teddirusa (?) would make it sad.

(If you watch the anime, you know what I mean.)

April 21st, 2009, 7:50 AM
Using a evolution stone on a pokemon that doesn't want to evolve would make it feel sad. xD

April 21st, 2009, 6:24 PM
y, pulling a spine from sandslash's back

taking a kangaskhans baby away from it's mother or the other way around either way one ends up sad

April 21st, 2009, 6:59 PM
Not reading a Pokemon's Newspaper will make it sad!

As well as me! *sniff*

P.S. = Support Pokemon Times! :)

Letting your Pokemon sleep outside of your house will make it sad... :(

P.S. = :(

Support Pokemon Times! Post on my Newspaper Thread! :)
