View Full Version : Pokemon Being Real. . . Good or Bad?

The question still remains. Is the thought of Pokemon being real a good one?

In a sense, I believe so. Being a Pokemon trainer would be cool, definitely.
But, with all the evil people in the world, I think crime rates would increase if Pokemon fell into the wrong hands. Also, read some of the Pokedex entries. A lot of the ghost types do pretty freaky stuff that could very well be harmful.

So, your thoughts?

If the world was a perfect world like the Pokemon world is, then yes it would be bad.

Otherwise, no. There are a lot of gaps in logic in Pokemon. How did the humans become superior to Pokemon? etc.

I think we'd have too many Koffings and pollution related pokemon XD

But I can see how we as humans might have become superior, namely the technology.

As for it transplanting on to our Earth, I'm not sure... Even battling may be a bit illogical, like that PETA would go crazy.

I definitely could not see the various safari zones existing though.

Otherwise its hard to say.

The idea is good and would be interesting but there are a hell of a lot of "plot" holes.

Much like what Cherii said!

Yes, I'm sure technology will stop every single Pokemon in the world from destroying our towns and becoming superior over our powerless selves.

Owned. :P

Anyway, I think though it would be fun to battle other trainers, and have Pokemon as pets, think about how bad it would it a criminal got hold of a Salamence? :\ It has its pros and cons, I suppose. :\

Ya know I've always wondered the same thing, and in my opinion I would say it would be bad because of the abilities they all have, like flamethrower, thunderbolt, etc. It seems like they could be deadly and use by criminals to commit crimes easier. But y'all bring up the good point of technology help keeping them under control, I never would have thought of that. Either I guess they'd be good as long as they are tame and under control.

Our weekly calendar would be like:
M. - Team Rocket attacks the city with an armada of Lv.70 Gyarados'.
T. - There is an earthquake in Distortion World, making Earth scrambled.
W. - Missingno invades cyberspace, making all computers crush.
T. - Team Galactic launches a space rocket, wasting millions of american dollars.
F. - The Aquas and Magmas awake Groudon and Kyogre.
Weekends - Holidays in Acapulco, where a lingerie contest is interrupted by the ivasion of a school of Tentacool and a giant Tentacruel.

Can anyone survive this schedule?

Well umm i think real pokemon is good and bad why?

Good:
- Awesome to be a trainer
- Help us protect us
- Fight off bad people

Bad:
- They would be used for evil
- treated badly
- Well try to hurt people

And it would be great for casinos. Who wouldn't want to bet in a pokemon fight?

Well even though it is for comedy relief, Team Rocket always has some form of giant Pokemon grabbing technology in some cases two times in an episode (not to mention other baddies that have their own ships - which some even take advantage of a Pokemon's power). But as well like any animal they'd probably stay within their safe habit.

Just a thought anyway... :\

Such as the case in the Second Mewtwo movie...

Good and bad, both.

Good because it would make a lot of people's lives more amusing, and completely change the world.. Yet at the same time, the world could also be destroyed by the Pokemon, if it weren't as sugar-coated as the fictional series.

It all would be good and bad. xD

It would be good that the grass pokemon would help our Earth look clean and green, and it would be helpful that pokemon will use flash in the dark instead of wasting our light. :)

The bad part is that some people might train the pokemon to be evil and it could destroy our world into pieces, like Tyranitar. :\

It would depend on the situation. It's both good and bad. If Pokemon were real, we would need to keep Pokemon out of criminal hands...

Oh come on half the funs busting the bad guys XD Idk i think there would be pretty screwed up experiments and such going on with Pokemon but it would be like having super animals... that you could legally **** fight with... and can make alllll your deams come true :D *Sparkles Sparkles*

I would rather BE a Pokémon. Without all the trainers of course, like Mystery Dungeon.

It would be awesome, plot holes or no plot holes. Life would actually be fun x3
-But then logic makes it's move and D:-

It would be cool!

The concept is good, with some side effects. Your life will be more fun with pokemon, but many people will tend to use them in crimes...

Scientists, putting them in glass cages poking them feeding them different things, they'll probably most likely be used as new types of lab rats.....That's just my opinion.

But on the lighter side, some 10-35 yer old people will break in and save all the pokemon ^_^

*hi fives* Completely agree.
When everyone is saying Pokémon are on the side of evil, they too can do good. Who says all 8 foot Pokémon are desparate to K1LL EVRY1 W1TH THERE P0WESAS, there's no reason Pokémon would randomly come out the wild and attack people. :S Unless I'm missing something...

Pokemon normally obey their trainers, Arceus, or whatever they believe is best. In other words, they'd rather run from Team Dimension ^\/^
But very rarely Arceus, it's only for when they get ****ed up, or if Arceus gives them a destiny or something :/
Sooooooooo
no bads :D
so HELL YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No it would be terrible. It would be the equivalent of dog fighting... Everywhere. That coupled with the fact that we probabaly wouldent be the dominant species anymore. Psychic pokemon alone would be superior to us:s Alakazam could use his super computer intellect to destroy the human race.

I dunno. Wild animals randomly attack us all the time. Plus in the start of each game you always have to have a pokemon with you. If you didnt have any pokemon and a wild meowth appeared, he would scratch the hell out of you... And possibly jack your money.

And Mewtwo, Giratina, Entei...

I love pokemon, but NO!

First off, idk what you mean...
Pokemon are real, and it seems to have worked out so far. But I'll humor your question.

"If" Pokemon were real, then even if evil people had them, the good ones would have stronger bonds with the Pokemon they had and therefore have stronger Pokemon.

And besides, Pokemon have consiences too (although not as sensitive) and would be able to resist the more evil demands such as killing.

Pokemon could make the world a better place and easily fix damages caused by others. Plus, energy would be easily obtained from electric types (with premission of course). Same with fighting types and physical labor (premission still needed).

As long as people didn't mess up relations with Pokemon, they would gladly help us in our exploits and such. We would just have to remember to treat them with the respect and gratitude expected from close friends. POEKMON AREN'T TOOLS.

Imagine what Country A and Country B could do with pokemon like Groudon and Kyogre. Not only that, but with super-powerhouses like Rayquaza whom Country C tries so hard to get, we could definitely be sure that the world would just be like the Pokemon world: Kawaii-desu. ^__^

Just throwing a few examples out there. If humanity wasn't so corrupted, maybe the thought of Pokemon being real would be a nice one indeed. Maybe if we were sensible, in the future God could create pokemon to replace animals, and our lives would finally be complete.

I get the feeling there would be a lot more carnage with them around, if they were real. A lot of pokemon seem to have pokedex entries that involve them being able to destroy an absurd amount of stuff when they get angry. o_o;

Pokeballs...when you catch a pokemon in it, it automatically tames the pokemon. Hense why wild pokemon are wild and trainer pokemon are not.
