Mew Glitch in FRLG?

Has anyone tried the mew glitch in FRLG?Where you use stregnth on the S.S Anne.

There was one in RBY that exploited the games coding,
something about flying the moment a trainer battled you, going to vermillion town, and encountering mew. It did work.

In the old red blue yellow version. You pressed start the moment you walked into a square where the trainer would notice you. sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but it was a way to get mew.

Details about this glitch. It is for Red/Blue, not Fire Red or Leaf Green.
It does work, I have tried it.

I don't think there's a MEW GLITCH at Fire Red & Leaf Green now. I used to think there was to, as the original versions, but now it's most likely you will have to trade it from Emerald, as you can travel to FAR EDGE ISLAND where MEW can be CAUGHT without cheating.

you have to go to a nintendo event to get the ticket to get to far edge island, or shark the ticket to get mew. And that's in the japanese, with nintendo, they'll probably just remove it for the U.S.

The Mew place is called World's Edge Island... not Far Edge Island. Since it's either on the edge of Hoenn, or just outside it or something. But... with the opportunity to actually capture a Mew, I hardly think there would be a neccessity in putting a glitch in to get one...

yeah, you can't and could never get Mew by examining the truck, but you know they're just asking you to try it in FR/LG with that suggestive water to the sides of the path to the boat >.> you can't see the end of it; makes you really want to surf over there just to at least see if the truck is still there.

the flying away glitch, i've tried it, and it worked. i traded the mew to Crystal, and now it's level 70, and you encounter it at level 7.

HOWEVER, the Mew Glitch doesn't exist on FRLG. Certainly it does back in RB, but not for FRLG. If you read just how the Mew Glitch works (not how to execute it, but why is it there), then you'll know that Gamefreak is a little bit better to realize that by now.
