Let's say Kanto island was just discovered(later followed by Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Island). We found that pokemon live there and start a civilization, and the many branches of Pokemon training. Would you move there? Would you just visit? Or are the games or anime or whatever enough for you?

I'd move there. It would be paradise.

Book that airline ticket, because I wouldn't miss living there. I mean honestly, reality isn't as adventurous as that in Pokémon. To have just a taste of something so different, I really wouldn't want to miss it. Who knows, it could really be a start of something new.

Of course you also have to consider some realistic facts. if Pokémon was really discovered on some island, and their consecutive regions, then you know scientists, biologists and all would just love to run experiments and tests on the Pokémon. Then, the government might want to take over and keep people from going there.

I'd totally move there, despite the fees it would cost. Who'd need Internet when I have Pokémon to train!? =3

In a heartbeat...although it's true that it would never work out in real life. For one thing, the government in the pokemon world seems to be both completely socialist and incompetent at the same time--they have Pokémon centers that are run for free (along with free access to a storage system) and a police force, yet in the games it appears the police force is completely incompetent against Team Rocket/Magma/Aqua.

The pokemon world as shown in the games and anime is a utopia. If it were possible for such a place to exist, I'd definitely want to live there, but it's really not.

I'd definitely move out there, or at the very least I'd visit.

It might not be as ideal as the games and show seem to be, but it's bound to be a lot of fun. New adventures always are.

Going there would be unimaginable, and there would be endless to do. Trust me, no matter how much it would cost go, you know I'll be there.

You have a point. Otherwise, if not for the place overrun with army and scientists, I would definitely move there. Paradise.

It's true, you know if something as large as Pokémon was discovered to be true, the government, military, and all would be all over it like syrup on a pancake. xD

Though, I would still take the first flight there once approved.

OF COURSEEEEE
I would move there and train in order to become a Gym Leader :D

I would move there and train to become a Coordinator. xD Elekid would be the first Pokémon I look for.

Ah, that would be a good idea. I would loved to be a pioneer of the Kanto region.

I would then train to be the very best. =D That being said, I need to go back to my Rock Shop next to Pewter City.....

There already is. The US government has just covered it up.

Yes. Go to Hoenn...REAL paradise...Ah...

Stuff the government, the screaming outcries of literally a billion people 8-20 is going to cull them. xD

Probably, but I must weigh my options. There might be a lot of dangers awaiting. But because the place is majestic, I'll live there.

Well yeah. 8D Education is important, though, so convincing my parents to let me go journey off on my own would be pretty hard.

And it could end up pretty dangerousssss. D: You'd probably have to travel in groups.

Yes I would. First thing I would do is go down to the beach and catch me a Trapinch. Train it and fly on my flygon all day long.

They'd better get a Pokemon Trainer's School, Pokemon Tech, Pokemon Summer Academy, something that would make us all set in the education field.

I'd take a plane to Kanto (and subsequent) Islands as soon as I could. :) And the "group travel" idea sounds awesome! Imagine you and your friends fending for yourselves in the wild and supporting each other through thick and thin. Duking it out for the title of Pokemon League/Pokemon Contest Champion! The only downsides are:
1. World governments/scientists/researchers would swarm at the Pokemon site, terminating our journey before it even begins
2. Potentially getting KO'd/confused/burned/poisoned/paralyzed/frozen/hypnotized/ leeched by Leech Seed/Hyper-Beamed/hit by Explosion/*insert frightening condition here*, etc. if you get on a wild Pokemon's nerves and it manages to attack you directly
3. Getting jumped by wild Pokemon
4. Losing money every time you lose/whiting out
5. If life there is like the lackluster Pokemon life seen in anime (though hopefully it won't be)
6. The potential trouble in getting a Pokemon in the first place, since you have to track down the Professor(s) for starter Pokemon and PokeBalls
7. Those annoying crime syndicates!
8. Probopass and Spiritomb :cer_pissed:

It'd be awesome to see my (hopefully shiny) Blaziken. :t257: Though I'd bring PokeSav/Action Replay ONLY for event Pokemon if needed. And I'd get Rayquaza (maybe) to break the PRNG for a while (like in Emerald) so we can force shinies! :D :cer_giggle:

Also, consider that legendaries would be legendary; there would only be one for everyone to try to catch.

Oh, I would love to go to each region, and get a glimpse at each Legendary Pokémon. I think Groudon might make me wee-wee my pants (j/k) xD

May 8th, 2009, 07:52 AM
But if we all go, which one will be the fastest [not necessarily the best] and get the Legendary?! I can just imagine showing off Darkrai at your side xD

ReyRey-Pyon
May 8th, 2009, 08:00 AM
I would totally

But it real life isn't a cartoon, so it would be extreamly dangerous with all them electric rats and ghosts running around, and giant singing puff balls and bats attacking you every single step you take

Plus the police force isn't doing **** to prevent villains such as Galactic, Rocket, Aqua and Magma
And you wouldn't have a big bad Giratina to protect you like in the games, {{But you'd have a Big Bad *Other pokemon, so its alllll cool <3}}

and we're aren't all Ash ketchum of pallet town, who is the chosen one, has an aura and all kinds of majikaroo powers that can save the world from imploding

But I'd like the thrill honestly
Being able to fly on the back of a Pidgeot , Swimming on a blastoise, Training for battle, and truely aiming to become "The very best like no one ever was" would be pretty sweet
I'd love to go on a journey with my old companions IRL, truely feel the thrill of battling The Elite four, Rubbing defeat in the face of your rival

<3

I'd live in Johto forcereal <3

lololol Kanto Island.

Kanto is a real region in Japan. Jōto is also a real region, though it doesn't go by that name in the real world. Hōen is just Kyūshū turned 90 degrees anti-clockwise. Shinō is Hokkaidō.

Still, to answer your question, no I wouldn't rush there to catch them, kill them or what have you.

I'd love to live in Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh, it would be a dream come true! :D Imagine training your favourite Pokemon, it's just paradise. However, you have to consider the downsides such as evil teams, handing out money (if that rule applies, since this is the real world, after all), getting attacked by wild Pokemon etc. But overall, I'd love to live there! :D

Artemis
May 8th, 2009, 08:47 AM
I'd go live in the Hoenn...taking nice warm spas when needed or visiting the beach when wanted. I wouldn't think catching the legends to be easy though, as if Pokémon were discovered to be real then they probably would be at least 5 times stronger than what we see in the anime. xD

But think, since about 10 million people will move there, they'd have to have 10 million starters for the 10 million people. o.O

Pokémon Centers obviously aren't run for free! >D Now I think about it, they must be run off taxes like the NHS in the UK.
Heh, heh, I'd become a politician in the Pokémon world. As soon as we have a good police force they'll be no need for 10 year olds to save the world(!). Not sure exactly what could be gained, but proper Pokémon conservation laws and protection would be helpful. With all the trainers, rare Pokémon like Farfetch'd could be extint if every one just moved in like that...

I would spend a summer there. Or maybe a year in b/w high school and college.

I wouldn't live there, though.

I'd build my boat and go there as an exile.

Because I'm pretty sure the price to live there would be like...

100 x10100001000000x100000 dollars.

Do the math.

I'd want to move there, but my family would be against it, so I would just have to visit often. Think about it though, eventually Pokemon would spread everywhere. Someone would pick up their Pokemon and sneak it to home, then another person would do the same, then another, and another and another. Breeding would begin, the planet would eventually become chock full of Pokemon.

That would be awesome though. :o

If my parents were to try and hold me back, and would somehow find a way and sneak my way out and get to the newly discovered land. xD I do wonder, will there be people alrighty existing there? I mean after billions of years the Earth has existed, I'm sure someone landed there, but simply decided to stay forever...

What don't you trust me?

And I lol'd heartily at all the people who said they would go. Living the lives you are now, you likely have no survival skills and now knowledge on how to fend for yourselves. You really think you'd be capable of going off to a foreign country on your own, especially when it's swarming with dangerous creatures like Pokemon?

Naïveté.

Dropping the bomb here:

If we move there, we're going to bring invasive species over, including disease, weeds, predators, etc.
And lol, whoever controls the Pokemon will control the world, so the world will constantly be at war :3

I'll definitely move there. I want to be a Pokemon Trainer and Coordinator at the same time. I'll definitely look for a Feebas and I'm gonna make it evolve into Milotic.
