in a Competitive battling perspective,

What do you think will happen with alot of the Johto Pokemon?

Obviously, a lot of the pkmn will probably moved from UU to OU or NU to UU, so what do you think?

The changes to Diamond/Pearl's system would've already set in stone the usefulness of most of the Pokémon in competitive battling now, wouldn't it? The only modifications GameFreak could do to the formula would be the movesets, at this point. More move tutors, for instance? More moves some Pokémon are capable of learning?

I don't belive it'll change a whole lot. They may be used a little more, but for the serious battlers, they'll g owith what helps them win and be good at battling, not what looks cool or for the sake of nestalgia.

I think a lot of people are over thinking this game, yes there will be A LOT of changes, but some changes people are thinking are just way to extravagant.

I suppose it depends on the move tutors and who receives them, really. Platinum shifted the metagame in numerous ways with its additions, perhaps these remakes can cause some shifts depending on the move tutors that come up, if they do happen to add them? Maybe measures are taken to help Ho-Oh's 50% entry hazard through Stealth Rock?

*shrugs* Things could happen.

I'm kinda hoping it does shift the metagame in some ways, however. It's always funny to see us adapt to change. At least for me it is. XD

No, pokemons will not be moved to other groups in the metagame, because this isn't a new generation. You can expect some pokemon to have acces to some more moves, but that won't change drastically their function and efectiveness.

The big change is between generations, like the phisical and special division of moves, in D/P.

Nothing would change much at all. Platinum set a good place for all the Pokémon in the competitive battling field. The most they might be able to change that can impact competitive battling is maybe the change in accuracy for some moves along with tutors, and possibly some Pokémon learnign new moves that wasn't given in Platinum. Other than that, not too much could be different for people who enjoy competitive battling.
