Let's say.. you breed a Ditto with a Zangoose, and the Ditto has a high Attack EV value. (or the Zangoose, for that matter). Will the baby have a high attack too?

I don't think so. Babies only inherit an amount of their parents IV values. EVs are at 0 when they are born. You'll have to EV train it to get it's Attack EVs up.

Okay, thanks. That's just saved me an hour of Parent EV training. XD

Yeah, it's true that you can pass on 50% of the parent's IVs to a baby, but EVs start at 0 when a baby is born, which makes EV training a little easier to plan.

If it did work like that, it would cause havoc for breeders, since many people want a Rock Slide Blaiken, but considering your way, Half the Blaziken's EVs (which could have been given left right and centre since it's ingame) would go into the egg and you wouldn't be able to train it exactly the way you want. It works on isolated occasions, such as the Ditto-??? theory, but in mainly all others, it wouldn't work out the way you wanted to. :/

What does EV stand for? Until recently all of my Pokemon knowlage has come from personal experience so I'm not familier with terms like these..
