hi, i don't know if anyone saw or has da new duel disk launcher, for anyone who doesn't know wut it is let me explain: dis is da same duel disk kaiba corp created for battle city, dis duel disk launcher has 5 slots for monster cards, 5 slots for m/t cards, it has da field card slot, it has a deck holder and a graveyard, it also has life points and it only goes up to 9990 and u can go from stanby position to dueling position by pushing a button.

Well if anyone has dis or know anyone dat does plz post here to tell me if all dat is true about da duel disk, Thanx.

I really want it! It would make duling sooooooo much easier, and I can whip ppl easier *cough*my 6 year old cousins and ex-boyfriend*cough* because I am not worrying about my cards being seen/falling over from teh deck ^^

It's in the Toys R Us Big Toy Book. It's like $35. My parents said it's dumb and they are my only source of income so I probably won't get it (unless they were trying to fool me and are getting it for me for Christmas). They also said it looked giant becasue in the picture in teh BIg Toy Book they have it on what seems to be a small 8 yr. old kid. I would definately whine about it until they got it for me if it had holograms which I doubt they can put in a child's toy for a few years...

I noticed the last pic in Dragon Master's post had a box that said "electronic" on it...I wonder how this thing will work...although $35 is way too cheap for fully computerized holograms, I wonder what the electronics in this product do...

ashley03: I had already said the price before you posted...

tmbjr: I think the life point counter is supposed to light up but I'm not sure...

da electronic stuff is da life point counter and da light to see da lifepoints, just like shadow said, and also to change da duel disk from standby to dueling mode just like in da show.

Its just a dumb money scam, it costs $35 - $100, doesn't make holograms, and is so big it makes you look like an idiot.

I give it 0.5/10 at best.

The really good thing about Duel-disk is that they allow you to duel while standing up, my legs get pins and needles everytime after I duel someone while sitting down.

=X I would only get it so that I don't have to make my own when attempting to cosplay a duelling YGO character. Meh.. I'm probably going to ask for it for my birthday or something ANYWAY. I like collecting YGO stuff. XD

It would be more interesting and worth the money if they could come up with a way to make it more advanced so you could actually do interesting things with it, though. ^_^;

Could it be some kind of coloured transparent that is in shapes of Duel Monsters and can be projected on a screen when light passes through it? ^_^;; Just a guess.

My friends and I rather spend our money on actual cards rather than that Duel-disk. Who knows I might get a secret rare in those $35-$40 worth of booster packs...

I'd have to say that Aimy's right on this one. Might as well do that, pitch in the Zellers/Walmart trick (well, I know in Zellers at Pickering Town Centre works), get a couple more holos, and hope for a secret rare (even if you don't, you got 6 more holos lol).

I have a Duel Disk, as do some of my friends, and I don't consider it a waste of money. To those of you who are saying it's a waste of money, It's a novelty item people, it's not supposed to be practical. Some of us happen to like dueling with some flare. Here is my breakdown on the duel disk.

First off, any player with sleeves on their cards probably wouldn't want to use it, as it requires the cards to be sleeveless. It is however,aan excellent way to duel without looking for a flat surface and something to sit on. It has electronic lifepoint counter and flashing lights. a button on the bottom opens it and you push on the sides to close it. A flap over the deck area flips up and down to protect your cards from slipping out of the deck zone while walking. I think it was money well spent on my part, and nothing is cooler and more exhilerating than both players dueling with duel disks.

The thing is just a waste of money the graveyard starts to fill up at around 15 cards and the cards also get crmpled up in it.

Actually the cards don't crumple up unless you don't put them in right, and it fits close to thirty cards in teh graveyard, and if your a good duelist, you shouldn't be worrying about the graveyard limit. The duel should be over long before it's reached. ;)

Lol, I picked mine up last week. I'm mostly going to use it for cosplaying, but it could prove to be fun for dueling as well. ^_^;

I have a few gripes about it, though. =\ It doesn't fit well on my wrist.. it's either too tight or not tight enough and it slips around when I lift up my arm. @_@ Then again, I am much older than the targeted user, but still. XD; I'm thinking about getting longer velcro straps if I can find them... that way I won't have to cut off my circulation just to use it. o.o;;

I don't like the button that brings it from standby to duel mode. >_> Lol, I wasn't expecting very much when I pressed it, and it hit me in the head as it expanded, lmao. XD
