Pokemon gold remake(sort of)

Hello everyone. as a challenge in an I.T lesson i have to make a basic game usic any programs that we have. i decided to get rpg maker xp and i downloaded the pokemon essentials starter kit aswell.i have done new bark town and all i have left to do is to map elm's lab and put some people in it lol. i dont have to make the whole thing but i have to have enough done so that i can present it. i will post screenshots here and updates. i was wondering where is the best place to get more sounds and maybe some more tiles. im mainly looking for the tiles for the ground and the ones for the trees.d/p/p trees and tiles are prefered

I wouldn't call using the Pokemon Essensials kit cheating if you were making a game for your own enjoyment, but it sounds like you're supposed to make the whole thing from ground up.
It is cheating for a school assignment, because someone's already done most of the game for you.
Try making something simpler, that you can code yourself.

i understand what you mean but heres something i forgot to mention, its not an asignment but just a fun end of year activity and that i only have a week and a half to do it

Hate to break it to you, but there's no way you can remake Gold in that short amount of time.

A week and a half's not gonna do it. These projects can take months and months and months.
