Anyone here into FMA? It's coming to close in Japan this weekend with 51 episodes and a movie that airs next year in theaters. FUNimation's working on the dubbed version and releasing it in English on Adult Swim.

The series goes like this: Edward and Alphonse Elric are young Alchemists in-training. They live in a village known as Rizenbul with their mother. Years have gone by and their father has been gone for years without a trace and was known as one of the greatest alchemists. They manage to get by without their father until they find out their mother is ill and is dying from a sickness she's been holding back for years due to the pain of not having her husband nearby. She dies and Ed decides to resurrect her using alchemy, even though Human Transmutation has been forbidden.

Ed and Al preform the transmutation but fail, costing Ed an arm and a leg and Al his whole body. Al's body was transmuted into a suit of armor due to Ed giving up his arm for his brother. Now the two brothers are searching for ways to create the legendary Philosopher's Stone to try and gain back what they had lost.

I simply love this series to death. The whole theme of "Equivalent Trade" and alchemy has really interested me. It's quite a dramatic series and has TONS of twists that leave you with your jaw wide open at certain moments. The series starts off at a humorous and relaxing pace but soon starts to get pretty dark. The music sets the mood alot, as well. It can be chirpy and cheerful or be slow and depressing or eerily dark.

If you haven't seen the series, look around on the web for it or wait for it to air on Nov. 6th on Adult Swim. This is one of those series' you do not want to miss.

Considering it'll most likely be an hour long, it's best to wait for the sub. Sonchou released 50's sub about a day or so earlier than normal, and I believe they wanna finish the series fast.

And yes, I feel pity for Lust as well. ;-; ...Gluttony just plain scares the living hell out of me now. x-X;

Yeah, it's a regular 22 minute episode. x_x They mislead us all by putting it on an hour earlier, rather than half an hour earlier.

I endulged myself in spoilers. It sounds like an awesome episode and isn't too rushed since alot is left over for the movie to continue on to.

I saw the final episode today (finally). I tried the best I could to hold back any tears because of it. And leaves you on edge, to see what happens in the movie. I seriously can't wait for it.

Who else thinks something happened to Envy while crossing the gate? I think he may end up being the villain of the upcoming movie.

I can see Envy being the villian of the movie. Especially since daddy is there too... and we all know how much he -loves- daddy.

Dunno why people complained about the SSS sub. It came out in clean, viewable quality, the font for the subtitles were very nice and easy to read, and there were really only two things I noticed that were messed up.

The first one was Al's age. They found him as a 13 year old, not 10.

Al asked if it was bad for him to train with Izumi to help bring his brother back. Not just if he could train with her.

I can't see why people complained either. It came out before any other sub did. It didn't seem rushed like the Saiyaman speedsub for 50 was. SS make a TON of name errors (I can't fathom how many different misspelled names they've given Winry, Lior, Ryla, Ishbal and Rizenbul) and their font is just plain ugly. Nanashi (formally known as Fork)..eh, I just don't trust them. Not after the different versions of subs they had to do for one episode. And usually their translation is horrible. Wish Spoon had continued on; episodes 41 and 42 really pushed them way behind schedule due to them airing on the same day.

I actually liked Shinsen's things... and because I couldn't get Spoon when I was in that time frame, I ended up watching Sonchou subs and became used to the name spellings...

And from my limited knowledge of Japanese, the "l" and "r" are very similar. =/


Didn\'t you see at the end where Wrath had the auto-mail? So he\'s become the Fullmetal Moofy! (Moofy is the fan name for him if you didn\'t know...)

Yeah, L and R are pretty much the same, though the official naming for some of the characters were as mentioned.

I'm wondering if Spoon will continue to translate the rest of the episodes they didn't do since they seemed determined to continue.

Saw the last episode...it was ok, still if the sereis hadent started so soon after the manga, maybe they waited a year or so it could have acutlly gone on longer...

Usually whenever an anime starts a little soon and early in the manga's life, the creators try to end the series soon so they don't ruin the manga series' true ending and try not to run it on (just like how .hack//LotTB ended at 12 episodes about two years ago when it had just ended in the manga not too long ago). Not to mention, Studio BONES left it at a cliffhanger and is kindly giving a movie to finally end it there.
