Agh, so jel. She's ravishing. Too bad my mother hates anything that's not a puppy. Lately I've been wanting to adopt a tarantula, my mom would shart a brick.

Sure if you want.

Colby is a very beautiful snake, the day I got her, I was so excited and I wanted to spend so much time with her. I'm glad you all liked the pictures! And no haha, no poison fang for her lol. Tarantulas are sick, just get it anyways, if your mom doesn't have to take care of it, then she shouldn't worry. lol and I trained her to stay out of her pokeball... ;) just kidding :D.

Many more photos will be posted in my Album soon if anyone is interested!

Leopard geckos rock, I have three and I love them.

I'm not a big python fan though.

I really want to get a corn snake or a hognose, but my mom is pretty firm on no more pets, she's going to freak when I get the money for a gargoyle gecko+setup.

ThornPython4

My favorite animal is the Cobra, but I'm very much afraid of snakes. >.>

I like all the other types of reptiles though. I always name the ones that are at my parents' pet store.

Nova, it sounds cool :] plus, it reminds me of my friends snake who has the same name lol

ThornPython4

Oh, Retics aren't illegal where I am, sorry. Burmese are nice snakes, I saw a baby the other day in a pet store near me when I was buying my mice.

Haha that's awesome. I named my other 2 based on personality and a character from a book series I read... Glaedr got his name from a golden dragon in Brisingr (Eragon series) and Colby got her name because of her odd personality and her colour. :D

I liked Nyoka. I like forigein names.

ThornPython4
August 17th, 2009, 09:13 AM
It's also a great name because Ball Pythons are native to Africa, so it would fit. But I'm still open to new name ideas as well!

Nova. It has that ring to it that just sounds plain cool.

Nyoka because it has a really nice ring to it, that plus the fact that it is very symbolic.

You know you can just edit your post instead of double posting, you've done it twice. But they both look so cute, you should get a Betta fish, i have one, they are really easy to take care of, and they can be Beautiful. Mine is red, so i named him Inferno, he looks like dim fire. All you need is a fish bowl, stuff to clean it, food, and of course the fish. Its cool.

ThornPython4
August 20th, 2009, 03:24 PM
Here are some new photos I took of Nova today! Ha, she is a little nippy right now, but she'll get better once she settles in.

Awww, cute snake. I don't think I'd ever be able to take care of one, I'd be too nervous about bites. :o

ThornPython4
August 22nd, 2009, 02:05 PM
I'm not too afraid of bites. I have been bitten twice by a garter snake. I managed to have her trust me enough to slither through my hands and take her around the house. Here's another pic of her in one of my mom's plants.

Pretty... But uhm, does he bite ?

It's a girl, but she can strike if she feels uncomfortable, she is only 3 week old and is still figuring things out. All snakes bite, remember that. Baby ball pythons are usually nippy, but they get better if you work with them.

Now that is a very good pic right there.

Thank you, when she slithered to the top, all I saw was the plant bend over, it was so funny, she held on tightly and I think she found it entertaining.

If you are starting out, Ball Pythons make great snakes for beginners. If you want to know more about Ball Pythons, I will try to answer any questions you have.

That snake looks pretty cool.
I've always wanted a Chameleon, but I have enough pets.

Chameleons are very pretty, I wanted one but my mom said no, plus you can't handle them too much, mostly just for show. I have 3 ball pythons, 5 red-bellied snakes (4 babies), 2 sub-adult Garter snakes (1 year old), a cat, 4 rabbits (female pregnant, due any day now), and a 55 gall tank with 20+ fish (Ciclids). :D

that's good, I really love animals too. Here are some new pics of Nova eating today!!!

The first pic is when she just killed her mouse. Second is of her with the mouse completely swallowed and you can see a bulge in her stomach-kinda cute. The third pic is just her finishing up, I know the quality is horrible for the last two, sorry about that!
