Why iz it that sprite request threads aren't aloud?? Back on pfu they were no problem.

It's because the mods decided it was getting spammy. If you don't like it Serebii Forums still allows it. (But we won't be happy :|)

My guess is, it's because you're not on PFU. :B Different forums have different policies on things.
