How many posts are needed to be able to post links? I'm sure it's 15.

I ask because someone with only one post managed to post a link to a forum in Webmaster Discussion.

It is but I think you can post one thread/link but no more until you manage to do the 15 post thingy

You can post PokeCommunity links if you don't have 15 posts.
That's how links in new member's sigs work.

Say you wanted to link someone to a thread, post, album picture, etc, but you didn't have fifteen posts.

At least, that's what I've learned from looking at that "working" link in that thread over at Webmaster's Discussion. Link to said thread, which is made up of 1 spammy, 1 mini-modding, and 1 off-topic post. (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=192912)

You need 15 posts to be able to post links, I think.

When I joined, I could create any links, anywhere, until my post count > 15.
Not when p < 1, or even when p < 15.

Wait, so you were able to link to any other website, without more then 15 posts?

There is an explanation: you can post links with http://www.pokecommunity.com/, so new members can link to other posts. That guy wrote: "address.com" and coded "http://www.pokecommunity.com/address.com", so, at a first glance, you'd think he bypassed the rule. But actually, his link would lead to a 404 error, thus making it completely useless as if he hadn't put any link at all.

Example: address.com (http://www.pokecommunity.com/address.com)

Shouldn't the no links til 15 posts include any links, regardless if www.pokecommunity.com is added at the front?

But you might want to link to another post, and the purpose of said rule is preventing people from advertising other places. If the only website you can link to is this one, then there is no real problem.
