I have to say, honestly, as a graphic-maker myself, these are pretty poor. A lot of it is just brush spam and then some text, and a lot of the renders are poorly placed, along with brushing over them. Additionally, the render is supposed to be the key focal point of any banner, meaning your eyes are supposed to focus on it. With almost every banner of yours, mine don't, and the text-only ones are very basic.

It's a good start, but it could be so much better.

I'm going to have to go with patch., these could all use some work. I see that you often block off your focal, which is not good. =| Try to soft erase around the focal when doing your tags, or put your effects on a whole other layer.

Similarly your typography could use work, firstly, don't make your text too big like in the one with the Cyndaquil, text background = no. Also, don't use blend effect on your text, I'd just keep the text how it is.

It's a good start though. (better than mine. 8'D) Try looking at some tutorials and such around PC or elsewhere, that's where I learned how to use my effects. Best of luck.
