You see, I wanted to do Game Walkthroughs using certain ah, devcices, and I wanted to know some ways to capture it. The thing is, I'm using a low-end Linux running laptop, which limits my options quite a bit. So does anyone have suggestions?

...like a camera? Or a microphone? Can't you just say what the device is?

Anyway. Audacity. It's probably in your repository.

Edit: Oh, you mean VIDEO recording software. That's a bit different.

Cankiri, Glc, XVidCap, and RecordMyDesktop are all free and available on Linux (I used this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_screencasting_software) Wikipedia page to find them). Search your repository. There are others on that list that work on Linux, but not all of them are specifically for screen capture (or aren't open source or free).

Have you tried HyperCam? I'm pretty sure it will work marvelously on your computer. But that's just a guess.

HyperCam not only records the game, but the background music. Say you were listening to music via BearShare/LimeWire/WMP, it would record that.

Which emulator are you going to use?

Hope I helped ^^
