I want to create a second-generation team for the Battle Tower, though I could use some assistance with it. My thoughts:

Vulpix
Item: (the herb that prevents stat loss)
Fire Blast
Overheat
Confuse Ray
?

Absol
Item: Chesto (?) berry (one that rids of sleep condition)
Swords Dance
Rest
Double-Edge or Return
Shadow Ball

Undecided third pokemon, though I was thinking of a Water/Ice-type (Walrein) or a Water/Electric (Lanturn).

Oh thank you! ^__^ Well, I was thinking about Ninetails...Fire Blast is more powerful than Flamethrower, but I guess that works. As for Will-o-wisp, Flamethrower already has a chance of burning, doesn't it? No arguments for Absol. I like the movesets on Walrein and Lanturn...now to decide who to use.

So...this lineup can actually be successful in the Battle Tower...?

The chance is only 10% though. Burn is very helpful as it halves the foe's attack. The 75% chance of Wil-o-wisp makes it very effective.

Yes, that is why will-o-wisp is on there

Burn is a really effective status ailment on your opponent.

The team can have a good chance in battle tower, you just have to know which moves to use and what pokemon to use.

That'd be great! I still haven't come up with a set team, though. My Blaziken is the only guaranteed member, and none of my Pokemon have reached lv. 100. They're not even close >.<
