5.1 Surround Sound on my Laptop.

Alright, i already know my laptop has only 2 channels, and i was wondering if anyone knows of a cheap product or can recommended me one similar to this one, maybe it's good enough? I know i won't get full 5.1 but as long as it sounds better then my crappy USB speakers then it's cool, besides im getting a Desktop soon.

Now, I haven't a clue how it'd work, i believe I'd plug the rear into one of my headphone jacks and then plug the product into the two left over ones and then I'd put the sub woofer and front into the two extra jacks from the product?

Yeah, it's obvious I need help here :P

That'll probably work as good as anything I could recommend. For that price point, I don't think you'll find anything much better.

Yep, I've actually got the previous model to that system in my room. I have a 3.5mm Audio jack -> dual RCA jacks running into the RCA -> component sound adaptor that came with the speakers. I find that I get brilliant sound. But remember, the less adaptors and cables, the better. There's less room for quality loss.

Logitech and quality don't really mix, added to the fact it's a laptop's onboard sound chip.. :P

But, i will be purchasing this, does anyone have any experience with setting it up? I'm assuming you just plug it into the headphone jack and then plug the cables into it. Theres 3 in total.

Yeah, 3.5mm audio cable goes from the computer, then you need to split it into either all three cables for the system, or two and then three. The cables to then go into the back of the sub, where everything else splits off. I explained part of this in my last post.
