Hello all! Here's a toolbox showcasing some programs I've been working on.

Cry Editor GSC
A cry editor for Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions!

Version 2.0
http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/3750/indexhlw.png Download As: Zip (http://skeetendo.110mb.com/Cry%20Editor%20GSC.zip)

As you can see, this lets you edit the base cry, the length, echo, pitch, all the information that makes up a Pokémon's cry. Very useful for adding new Pokémon to your hack.
It has been tested on Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions and should be bug-free. If you find one let me know.
New to Version 2.0- Support for Crystal, added About dialog, nicer GUI with easy to use slider bars to adjust the values instead of the old plain-hex entry boxes.

GSC Item Editor
An Item Editor for Pokémon Gold, Silver AND Crystal

Version 1.2

My latest tool. This allows you to edit everything about (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=116847) items in Gold, Silver, and Crystal Versions. Has no known bugs, but if you find one let me know. It detects which version you loaded and will load the data appropriately, and if it doesn't recognize the rom, it won't let you edit it. It also refuses to let you edit Item 0. Also, Items &HB4 and above (Brick Piece, the mail, TMs, etc) are handled differently and do not have valid ASM pointers listed. The editor will disable the ASM box on these items.
In the next version- Gamer2020 was kind enough to give me a module for loading text, so the next version will allow you to edit Item Names.

Check out Coolboyman's Ultimate Item Tutorial (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=116847) for values for the different boxes.

These are looking good my friend. I'll try the cry editor, and make some shrieks a bit. Lol
But, I have a question for the Item editor. Is there a list of Uses, effects, types & vars?

I did not include a list, but you can find them in Coolboyman's tutorial. I'll link to it here to make it easier, and the next version will include a list or somethign similar.

EDIT: Version 2.0 of Cry Editor is released! Now with added support for Crystal, and an easier to use GUI.

Agree. I would love to have something like that.

I would, but I don't have the format or offset for those games. I could make one for RBY though. And if someone wants to hook me up with the format and offsets then I don't see why not!

I thought you would post these tools here. And a cry editor for RBY sounds awesome, although I probably wouldn't use it. :P

Ok, so I released Version 1.2 of the item editor, fixed a line of code that should fix a bug with saving. Originally it would load the items properly, but would save the ASM pointer to... not where it was supposed to be. This has been fixed.

That's the plan. Right now I'm more focused on learning ASM and working on SaR and helping Melash with Ancient Emerald to work on adding that at the moment, sicne the program works and all. But I'll get around to that at some point, prolly after the next beta of SaR is out.

Good tools!

I've never hacked Gold and Silver, but would be curious, with the number of tools that have created

Anyway, I hope to do more ^^

Greetz!
