Play music in your head/on your computer/iPod while playing Pokemon? I never can play without it. I tend to play hardcore music to battles, and anything else while anything else is happening :3.

Most of the time I do because I dont really like listening to the bgm of pokemon games and besides I can play better listening to music that I like listening to.

I LOVE playing music along with pokemon! It's so awesome. ^^ And I'm like you--I also really enjoy the hardcore music as my own "battle themes." Hardcore really fits that, doesn't it? I've gotta have my music with my games, too.

Haha yes, I do the same thing. I'd be listening to Machine Head, In Flames, Owl City, and other great bands! It makes me more entertain with the game pretending my music is in the game. lol

Yeah. I do it. But not much(infact, very less). Its rare for me to play music other than the original game's music while playing a game, but I play it sometimes. :3

(and thus I can't say that I don't play other music coz I do it sometimes. XD)

Yep. I either turn the radio to a hard rock station or put in a CD and start mashing the A button.

Of course, when I get the GB player in HG/SS, the only music I hear shall be 8-bit.

Yeah, I do listen to alternate music while I play the games. Only exception would be during the boss battles with really good music (Cynthia, Archie/Maxie, Cyrus).

The background music on routes and in some towns is just too repetitive. Same with the generic "Wild Pokemon Battle theme."

On and off. I don't feel so engaged in the adventure if I'm not listening to the music they've provided, but every once in awhile I have to mute the game and put my iTunes on shuffle.

Although the game music is good, I sometimes have it off completely and just listen to an album on my iPod in the background. I don't change it for battles because I'm too lazy (which also explains having it playing an album, not choosing songs). There's no particular genre in the background, it just varies depending on what I feel like listening to.

Nope. I always like to hear the music from the game while I play them. I can listen to other songs and music when I'm doing something else that doesn't have music.
When something has got a music of its own, I will hear it most of the times. And when that music is great like these ones, I will listen for sure. They create the "feel" factor for the games, after all.

Sometimes I play music. Mostly I'll watch movies while playing Pokemon, especially when I'm leveling up. It provides a nice distraction from all the mundane training. I hardly ever listen to the in-game music.

Most of the time I listen to my iPod when I play my Platinum version. :3 The in-game music gets a bit tedious when you've heard all of it a thousand times over, so it's always nice to hear something else for a change while you're battling someone or catching Pokémon or whatever.

I almost always play my DS in front of the TV. I haven't heard game music in, hmm. A very long time. Though it didn't used to be that way--I can still hum the traditional pokemon centre music because back in the Red/Blue days I did play with the music on, and would get all pumped during battles, hehe.

But I've gotten used to no game music since I often also play my DS when I'm on the way to work and headphones would just get in the way on the bus or metro.
