How often do we have to update? And, when you say before the third gym, that means before you beat it, right? Or before the town itself?

Before you beat the gym leader. And also, update if you can. Its up to you when to update.

Hey, Zelfier. I'll take Ruby. Shiftry, Manectric, and Aggron please! :)
Sure, I 'll add you on.

I was thinking of using Shiftry, Mightyena, and Ninjask on Emerald. So yeah, I'm using those :).

In Kanto you can skip the 3rd gym till before Giovanni's gym, so you could basically use anything... Maybe you should edit that into something like before Rock Tunnel or before getting Cut

I'll play with Bellsprout, Mankey and Drowzee in LG.

seeing as how my team is rather feminine, i decided to use the girl character named Maria.

I started with a squirtle and beat my rival (Jonas), although none of that matters because it is unimportant to the challenge. I then exited the lab and sped through the beginning stuff to get some pokeballs. with the pokeballs i received, i caught many caterpies, hoping for one with a nature that didn't hinder special attack, but i was unlucky in that respect until i eventually came across a timid caterpie that i caught and named BakeryJane. BakeryJane was rather fast for a caterpie, but training was still difficult. I persevered and BakeryJane evolved twice, once into a metapod, the second to a butterfree. BakeryJane took on Jonas and won easily. She continued to destroy the trainers I came in contact with in viridian forest, and when I got out of the forest, i felt she was ready to take on brock. She was not and she died. But the second time, with much luck, BakeryJane was victorious over brock. I ran, with my new running shoes, to the entrance to mt. moon, crushing the dreams of trainers along the way. inside the cave, i was determined to find a clefairy, but luck was not on my side. Finally, i came across a clefairy and caught it, naming it Thomas. its modesty was overwhelming, but i decided to keep it. i realized that i also must catch a spearow to trade for CH'DING, so i did and named it a naughty word. i fought my way through the cave and taught Thomas mega punch outside. I beat my rival and then the nugget bridge and won a ticket for a cruise! i skipped misty for a bit and went to get the final member of my team, CH'DING. i forgot to save before trading, but it was adamant, so i swallowed my pride and decided it would do. CH'DING didn't like to obey me once it reached level 11, so i stopped training it and went to beat misty. I lost the first time, but then i taught BakeryJane thief and won because i'm super awesome. i went aboard the cruise ship and beat some trainers along with my rival and got HM01 from the captain. i was forced to leave for causing so much trouble, so i obliged. i beat the lieutenant next, using BakeryJane to show how intimidated i was (i wasn't). rock tunnel was next, so i entered it and then eventually exited it, it was exciting. many trainers fell at the wings of CH'DING along the route next to lavender town, and erika fell just as hard, but CH'DING wouldn't obey me, so i used BakeryJane. afterward, i scared the rockets out of the casino and out of that ghost tower thing. after obtaining the flute, i woke up a snorlax and killed it with CH'DING. arriving in fuchsia, i wanted to take on the gym leader, but then i had to save and stop playing. damn. oh, and at some point, i evolved Thomas. yeah, whatever.

I finally started today. Named myself Kevin and my rival Justin (both, especially Kevin are stereotypical names for anti-social kids in germany, there is even the term "Kevinismus" (kevinism) for this). Randomly chose Squirtle and beat justin's Bulbasaur. Got to Viridian and obtained the parcel, which I - Oh, surprise - delivered to Oak. Caught myself some Mankeys, i'm going with a jolly one now, not nicknamed yet. Viridian Forest was a major pain with it, Weedles always got poisonhax. Mankey even fainted once (outside of a battle), luckily i still had a Caterpie and a Weedle i caught just before with me. In another battle, i needed 2 Potions and 1 Antidote to beat 2 Weedles and 1 Kakuna. But then i reached Pewter and everything became easy again. Brock's underling caused me only little trouble, Mankey got some Sand-Attacks by Sandshrew into its face, but i got lucky and hit. Beat Brock, which was - of course - easy. Obtained Running Shoes and saved.

Can't really decide which fighting move is the better one. Leer for anything bulky, Rock Tomb to beat especially Bug and Flying types better. 80 Acc isn't really amazing, but otherwise Spearow destroys me.

Progress

After capturing Seedot, I quickly leveled him up to Lv. 7 to learn Growth. After level-grinding, I headed to Petalburg. Mudkip sorta leveled up cause I need him to level up Seedot. I saw a Lv. 5 Poochy but decided not to catch it. I'll catch some in Rustboro later on. So, in Petalburg, I level-grinded Seedot to Lv. 10. After that, I did the Wally event. Then saved.

i've done a lot since my last update, and honestly, i don't feel like writing a story about it.
but here's my time against the elite four and champion:
-Lorelei was probably the easiest of the four. Thomas was able to set up a couple calm minds and then thunderbolted her entire team except for jynx which she flamthrowered.
-Bruno was, and always has been, the saddest of the elite four. he was completely destroyed by BakeryJane who i did not really design to kill a lot of things. the first onix was taken out by a single giga drain. hitmonchan was put to sleep and it had its dreams eaten twice before it fell. machamp was also put to sleep and dream-eaten, but it woke up after the first one and used rock tomb and almost killed BakeryJane, but it was put back to sleep and eaten. the final onix also went down with one giga drain, and by the end of the battle, BakeryJane was at full health.
-I don't know the name of the 3rd member of the elite four, but she uses ghost or poison types or something. either way, she was pretty lame. i had CH'DING take out the first gengar and golbat, but switched to BakeryJane for arbok and kept her out for the second gengar and haunter. they all had their dreams eaten. it was satisfying eating the dreams of the ghosts. for 10 years, i've always been on the receiving end of a dream eater from morty's gengar in g/s/c, but no more.
-Lance was also pretty bad. Thomas thunderbolted gyrados and aerodactyl. aerodactyl was only brought to the red, so when lance healed, i used calm mind and then swept the rest of his team with thunderbolts/ice beams.
-Jonas. Jonas started off with a pidgeot that kept using sand-attack, so i switched Thomas out for BakeryJane who put it to sleep. then i switched back to Thomas and did a couple calm minds. pidgeot and gyrados went down to thunderbolts and alakazam to two flamethrowers. arcanine took a couple hits because i got rid of water pulse. i also ran out of thunderbolts, the only attack i have that hits it neutrally. luckily, it became infatuated with Thomas and didn't kill her, so three ice beams took it out. venasaur came out last and started charging for a solar beam. i knew Thomas had no chance of surviving as she only had around 13 hp left, but she got a crit with an ice beam and ended its life.

and THAT'S the story of how i became champion.

-Got started, named myself Rin, as always
-Picked Squirtle for my starter, to be an HM slave, and nicknamed it "Slave" accordingly x]
-Did all the stuff you have to do to get the Pokedex
-Spent about five minutes catching Pidgeys until I found an Adamant one. I nicknamed it "Fierce" and decided on a whim to have all three have nicknames starting with F
-Went around catching Mankeys, couldn't find one with a really good nature so I just settled for an Impish one and named it "Fury".
-Catching Pikachus in Viridian Forest was... not too fun to say the least xD; The first one I found ended up killing Fury as I was trying to catch it, and sending out Fierce or Slave was not a good idea, so I had to run @w@ I decided that I would just use whichever Pikachu I caught first no matter what the nature because they were a pain in the butt to catch. But luckily the first one was Rash natured which is +sp. atk which is pretty good, so I nicknamed him Flash
-AND THEN MY TEAM WAS COMPLETE YAY
-Went though Viridian Forest without much trouble
-Grinded my team to lvl 12-ish
-Tore through Brock using only Fury's Low Kick, which OHKO'd his Onix 8D
-Headed for Mt. Moon yay! Got the Running Shoes, thank god! @w@
-Went through Mt. Moon with a bit of difficulty -- I had to use an Escape Rope when I was actually getting kind of close to the exit cuz Flash was dead, Fury was poisoned, and Fierce wasn't looking to great either. But then I got through and selected the Dome Fossil!
-Got to Cerulean! Yay!
-Now I'm grinding my team to about 20-ish before I do the Rival battle(I think I just named him Green lol).

Fought my way to Cerulean. The Nerd almost destroyed me, first the Grimer used Poison Gas, then Fury Swipes and Rock Tomb missed multiple times in a row.... 3 Potions and 1 Escape Rope saved me from blacking out. There was an Antidote nearby, but i didn't know about it, so i had to go through Mt.Moon again...

So, at Cerulean, the first thing I decided to do was fighting my rival, whatever his name was again. His Pidgeotto got off a Sand-Attack on Mankey, but even though most of Mankey's moves are already inaccurate, none of them missed in that battle, so i won quite easily.
Then, after barely surviving Nugget Bridge, i could finally catch my second team member, a Bellsprout. i decided to go with a Neutral one, because i really have no idea what moves i will give it later on, Sludge Bomb is obtained incredibly late, so it isn't that good here physically, but on the Special Side it has nothing else than Grass and maybe HP... And i don't want lowered defenses, since it would lower its Sleep Powdering qualities...
So, after catching a neutral Bellsprout and a random Spearow for the Pokedex, i fought my way to Bill's house to obtain the Boat Ticket.
Then, i had some major trouble beating Misty, bad luck was on my side, it took me about ten attempts not to get a messages like "Starmie used Water Pulse! Bellsprout is confused! It hurt itself in its confusion! Starmie used Swift! Bellsprout fainted. Go Mankey! Starmie used Water Pulse! Critical Hit! Mankey fainted!"
Oh, and Sleep Powder misses were also common, strangely always against Starmie, but never against Staryu...
But finally, i got lucky and managed to beat her when my pretty simplistic "put Staryu to sleep, Spam Growth, attack till Staryu dies, put Starmie to sleep, attack till Starmie dies" strategy finally worked out.
Then, i beat the Grunt, taught Mankey Dig and caught 3 Meowths near the daycare. Of course i'm going to use them as Pickup slaves. Bellsprout evolved while looking for them, so i'm now the proud owner of a Weepinbell.

Since I've gathered only a little bit of progress and caught only Treecko yet, I'd like to switch Manectric to Exploud, and Swellow to Crobat. (sorry for changing again, I can't make up my mind since after researches, I came to know that Swellow and Manectric have bad movesets, so.) This will be my final team. Thanks!

alright, i finished that lame sevii islands quest. it was uneventful, and after finishing it, i didn't feel done with the challenge, so i decided to beat the elite four again.
-Lorelei was still pretty bad. Thomas got up maybe one calm mind and managed to sweep her team.
-I expected Bruno to start off with hitmontop like he does in g/s/c, so i put CH'DING in front, but instead, he had a steelix, so i had to switch out to Thomas who took out most of the team until machamp. i sent out CH'DING for machamp, used swords dance and had machamp's cross chop miss. machamp and hitmonlee were taken down by CH'DING and the last steelix by Thomas.
-Agatha lead with gengar, so i lead with BakeryJane. i don't remember what happened after that because it ended rather quickly. i believe Thomas took out the last gengar because she's awesome and normal.
-Lance wasn't much of a challenge. gyrados took one thunderbolt after a calm mind, kingdra took a couple thunderbolts, aerodactyl took one i think, dragonite(s) (i can't remember the team) took (a) single ice beam(s), considering the two calm minds, nevermeltice, 4x effective, and Thomas being modest.
-Jonas started with a heracross, but i was expecting a pidgeot, so i had BakeryJane first. i used sleep powder anyway and switched to CH'DING to finish it. tyranitar was the biggest problem with its sandstream and not being part ground. i eventually killed it with Thomas and thunderbolt, but i had to use a lot of max potions (they were all leftover from the first time i fought the elite four. didn't use any of them that time.) the rest of them were easy, arcainine got hit with a couple thunderbolts by Thomas, and venasaur tried its best, but one ice beam is all it took.

Final Team:
BakeryJane lvl 66 @ King's Rock

Dream Eater
Toxic
SleepPowder
Giga Drain

Thomas lvl 75 @ Nevermeltice

CH'DING lvl 71 @ Stick

Weepinbell solo'ed the way to Vermilion and almost caught up to Mankey in term sof levels. Arrived at Vermilion, i first got the Bike Voucher and then, the Bike. Then, i caught myself a Drowzee, Sassy nature is a good one, i think, since both Drowzee's physical and special movepool are not the greatest, so i'll have to use attacks from both sides of the spectrum, but don't want to lessen Drowzee's natural bulk, but the Speed isn't too good anyway, so i can sacrifice it. Shortly after, one of the Meowths had picked up a Hidden Power TM. After finding out that Drowzee has a weak HP Bug, Weepinbell a powerful HP Steel and Mankey a slightly less than Weepinbell, but still powerful HP Rock, i decided to use my Hidden Power TM on Mankey to finally get a reliable Rock type move. Then, it was time to train Drowzee, which i used the trainers on the route to the east for. Mankey evolved to Primeape somewhere there after beating some Magnemites. so, after beating all trainers on that route and on the SS. Anne, it was time to challenge Surge's gym. Drowzee easily beat the underlings thanks to Hypnosis and its decent special defense (only Sonicboom hurt, but it hurt a lot). Against Surge, i chose to go the save way and destroyed him by Primeape using Dig.
On to Rock Tunnel!

Primeape / Primeape f Lv.29 @ /
Jolly Nature / Vital Spirit
~ HP Rock
~ Mega Punch
~ Low Kick
~ Dig
So yeah, as said above, HP Rock is finally a reliable option against Flying and Bug types. If its power is high enough, i'll maybe even use it over Rock Slide.... Maybe... Otherwise hasn't changed too much, except for getting a lot better because of evolving of course.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/2/23/Spr_3f_070.png
Weepinbell / Weepinbell m Lv.27 @ /
Hardy Nature / Chlorophyll
~ Vine Whip
~ Acid
~ Secret Power
~ Sleep Powder
Acid doesn't hurt anything else than Tangela super-effective, and Secret Power has 10 Power more when neutral, but it still does more for me than Growth. Vine Whip OHKOs Geodude and most Waters anyway since this evolved into Weepinbell.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/0/07/Spr_3f_096.png
Drowzee / Drowzee m Lv.25 @ /
Sassy Nature / Insomnia
~ Brick Break
~ Hypnosis
~ Thief
~ Confusion
I put Brick Break on this and not on Primeape because Primeape has already enough good moves, so it can wait until i reach Celadon and buy a second TM. So yeah, Confusion for most stuff, Brick Break for anything weak to Fighting, Thief for other psychics. Hypnosis is incredibly inaccurate, but there's no real better option here. Headbutt? Outclassed by BB. Poison Gas? Even worse Acc. Disable? Lol.

They made Rock Tunnel harder to complete without Flash in FRLG, so i got me the Flash HM and taught it to one of my Meowths. Drowzee evolved into Hypno somewhere in that timeframe. Later, arrived in lavender, i first gave some nicknames to my Pokemon, and then beat my rival again, and because Primeape's HP Rock failed to OHKO Pidgeotto, i decided to go with Rock Slide instead, it has done pretty good for me up to now, didn't miss too much yet.
After this, it was time to go to Celadon. First i bought me another Brick Break TM for Primeape, then i got the Tea from the mansion so i could access Saffron. For some reason i decided to beat the Fighting gym first, then Erika, and then the massive amount of team Rocket quests. Somewhere between all this, i finally had collected enough money to buy a Shadow Ball TM for Hypno. Now, i finally have completed the Silph Co, shortly before the end of it, Weepinbell finally learned Razor Leaf, so i let it evolve into Victreebell now.
Next are Psychic Gym and Fuschia. Hyono will be pretty overleveled soon...

I decided to name all of my Pokemon after one of the deadly sins, and for Primeape, Wrath fits of course best.
About the moveset... Rock Slide because HP Rock wasn't that good, Aerial Ace might be weak, but has nice coverage, especially helps against the common Grass/Poison and Bug/Poison types. Brick Break>Cross Chop for Accuracy and PP reasons.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/1/12/Spr_3f_071.png
Gluttony / Victreebel m Lv.43 @ Leftovers
Hardy Nature / Chlorophyll

~ Sleep Powder
Hasn't changed too much, except that it has now finally a decent Grass-type move in Razor Leaf.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/d0/Spr_3f_097.png
Pedophile / Hypno m Lv.43 @ Leftovers
Sassy Nature / Insomnia
~ Brick Break
~ Hypnosis
~ Shadow Ball
~ Psychic
Lust would be the fitting sin here, but that would sound strange as a pokemon nickname, so i decided to name it Pedophile instead, which Hypno, as everyone knows, is.
Psychic for most stuff, Shadow Ball for other Psychics, Brick Break as filler with nice coverage, and the ability to hit Steels hard. Not quite sure about the last slot, whether i should use the unreliable Hypnosis or Calm Mind, which only boosts 1 of Hypno's moves and his already monstrous Special Defense, still leaving it vulnerable to physical attacks...

Today me an' Stewart went and dealt with all of that Wally crap in Petalburg, then headed west to find us a new buddy. We found a Slakoth, whom we named Gino, only later finding out that Gino was actually a GinA, but Gino seems okay with the name, so we're stickin' with it. We ended up meeting a moron from Devon who was being robbed by a Pirate (probably) with mommy issues. The Pirate fell swiftly to Gino's lazy wrath, and we moved on, enriched by one Great Ball...

After grinding a couple levels apiece in the Forest we emerged and kicked butt until we arrived at the Rustboro Gym, which Stewart pretty much destroyed solo, at level 13/14, with only occasional switching out, so Gino could say he helped. :P

After winning the badge, we headed outside, saw that idiot from Devon getting robbed, and decided that we should follow and help him. Before heading into the tunnel to confront the Pirate, however, Gino and Stewart leveled a little outside, with Stewart evolving into Marshtomp, which was just swell.

When I finally went into the cave, the Pirate fell easily before Gino, which was just as pathetic as before... We then went to Devon and became their new delivery boy (apparently), and got a PokeNav, which'll allow people to call us whenever they feel like it... joy.

After easily beating my 'rival' May on the road out of Rustboro, I headed down to Mr. Briney's house, and begged a ride to Dewford.

Once in Dewford I headed into Whatsit Cave, and taught Shroomish Flash, which we can't use until we win the badge, of course... I then caught a female Aron, and named her Stella (for Steel...), then I saved and headed off.

Good day everybody. I bring you my 3rd update. I've done more of Level-Grinding Seedot for it to evolve. First, I ran through Petalburg Forest attacking each bug with Bide! I hate it! Seedot almost fainted once, good thing a brought a Potion. I still have to go back to Petalburg to heal. Around this time, I decided to swap Mightyena with Manectric and Ninjask with Swellow. I decided to go for the swap since its a much better team. After getting out of that forest I went to fetch Bullet Seed TM. I used it on Seedot and boom!

Seedot = Bullet Seed Machine

Now when I got to Rustoboro I went to level up Seedot because he was around Lv. 13 that time, I also boxed HMSlave01, aka Mudkip. After Seedot evolved, I went to the Gym and smashed the Gym Trainers unmercifully. I went for a quick heal and faced Roxanne. The fight between the Dudes were easy. The fight between Nosepass; the Nose Monster, wasn't very easy. I survived him anyways, and now I have myself a badge!

It's NNed ShutUp because since it's pretty loud, Uproar handles most stuff and the rest are fillers. Need Flamethrower desperately, it is for $70000 and I have just $28000. Good I have Zigzagoon.

Annoyer/Golbat m.
Level 22/Hasty Nature
~ Bite
~ Astonish
~ Wing Attack
~ Supersonic
NNed Annoyer, since Zubat/Golbat annoy most people, Bite handles most stuff, Wing Attack is more than useful, Supersonic is rarely used and Astonish is a filler, I didn't want the sucking Leech Life.

I also did some research, and got all the movesets for my team:
Crobat: Aerial Ace, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Shadow Ball
Sceptile: Brick Break, Leaf Blade, Earthquake, Return
Exploud: Shock Wave, Ice Beam, Water Pulse, Flamethrower
So, anyone want to improve the movesets?

Since my last update, i defeated the next 2 gyms and cleared all the water routes and the routes around Fuschia. I also caught Zapdos (with Master Ball, i was too lazy do catch it with regular methods), and in total i now have caught 55 Pokemon, so there are just 5 left for the National Dex, i think i'll get them in Cinnabar Mansion (Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, Muk, Ponyta), which is my next destination.

I beat the Elite 4 now.
Blaine and Giovanni were both easy, Hypno CM-swept Blaine and Victreebel and Hypno OHKOd each of Giovanni's Pokemon. And got the EQ TM now, so i could finally replace Primeape's Dig with EQ, which is a major improvement, especially against anything that learns EQ, Magnitude or Protect.
Victory Road was easy, only Victreebel died once, getting hit by a Psychic crit when already weakened by a Mr.Mime after a missed Sleep Powder.
Lorelei's team happened to die the same way as Blaine, with the difference that Victreebel put Dewgong to sleep before Hypno set up.
Bruno was -as always- easy, only Machamp caused some trouble, i accidentally didn't switch Primeape out after KOing the Hitmons (which both have a lot more Sp.Def than Def), CC did quite a lot, leaving it with about half HP. The onixes died of course against Victreebel.
Agatha was the easiest, she didn't attack once. The last gengar outspeeded Hypno, but it used Hypnosis, too bad Hypno's ablility is Insomnia...
Lance was the hardest. Victreebel took care of the Gyarados and even managed to beat Aerodactyl, but lost a huge amount of health against it.
Dragonite easily got beaten by Primeape, but the Dragonairs both survived a hit. The first used Dragon Rage, the 40 damage didn't really hurt, but the second used Outrage and KOd Primeape. Victreebel killed it.
After healing Victreebell with a Hyper Potion and Primeape with a revive, it was time to defeat my rival again. Pidgeot caused some minor trouble, but Primeape beat it. Gyarados was easier than Lance's one, this time I put it to sleep and OHKOd with Primeape instead of spamming Razor Leaf. Next was Alakazam, Hypno set up on it and swept it, Arcanine and Venusaur... But then, against Rhydon, Psychic was out of PP (it already has 2 PP Ups on it, but apparently it's still not enough...), and Brick Break could barely 4HKO it, but Hypno didn't like to take too many EQs from Rhydon. So i switched in Victreebel, it barely survived with something like 15 HP and KOd with Razor Leaf.

Nice update WKnite.
Which reminds me, I'm going for a Fire Red challenge using one type: which is I'm still thinking about.
I also updated the rules and changed the THIRD rule. Be sure to read it.

Count me in! I will take pokemon no one else has and use:
Mawile, Swalot, and Masquerain
But its going to take a while to catch a surskit...
Well actually, this seems a bit easy, so...
what should i do?
center-less run?
any ideas for challenges?
Well, w/e i already started. caught a surskit surprisingly fast, after the first 6 tries or so...

Well, I finally managed to beat brock after 2 hours of training and 3 attempts. The 2 hours of training eventually led to a total of 4 evolutions:
Weedle > Kakuna > Beedrill
Caterpie > Metapod > Butterfree

Butterfree's confusion was the move that won me the gym battle. After beating Brock, I skipped as many trainers as possible on the way to Mt. Moon, and once there, caught a Paras. Backtracked back to Pewter City, beating all the trainers I had previously skipped with Paras by spamming scratch. Also taught Paras Bullet Seed, but with all the flying and bug types around, it hasnt been of much use.

Current Team:
Butterfree lv15
Naive
Confusion
Tackle
PoisonPowder
SleepPowder

Beedrill lv13
Adamant (1st time!!)
Poison Sting
Harden
String Shot
Fury Attack

Paras lv15
Docile

Bullet Seed
PoisonPowder

Since the pokemons I wanted were to be female, I spent a little 'while' trying to capture my first pokemon. Nevertheless: here's my update so far:

- Started my file and named myself Andrew. Named my Rival Zachary.
- Started with Charmander and defeated Zachary at Oak's Lab (it was pretty easy).
- Travelled to Viridian City while fleeing every wild pokemon I could find. Obtained Oak's Parcel.
- Went back to Pallet and delivered the parcel to Oak. Obtained Pokédex and 5 poké balls.
- Travelled to Viridian City (again) and obtained the Teachy TV.
- Travelled to Viridian Forest.
- After wandering around for ages, managed to find a female Pikachu 3rd attempt. Named it Meghan
- Went back to Viridian City and went to the PokéCenter to ditch Charmander in the PC.
- Went to Route 1 to train Meghan to level 7.
- Went to Route 22 and fought Zachary. Beat him easily and Meghan grew to level 8.
- Travelled back to Viridian Forest and captured a Weedle.
- Left Viridian Forest and captured a Pidgey (which'll be my HM Slave).
- Went back to Route 22 and caught a Rattata & Mankey.
- Went to a PokéCenter and ditched: Pidgey, Weedle, Mankey, Rattata.
- Travelled once again back to Viridian Forest and beat all the trainers there. Meghan grew to level 11.
- Arrived at Pewter City and took on the Gym Challange.
- The first trainer I fought gave me hassle (as his Geodude kept using Defense Curl putting up it's defence). Managed to defeat that and beat his Sandshrew no problem. Meghan grew to level 12.
- Fought against Brock and lost against him.

Well, that's my current update for now. If only it didn't take me nearly an hour to find a female Pikachu, I'd have arrived at the second gym already. Either way, I'm going to need to train some more before I can even think of beating Brock :(.

Current Team:

Meghan (Pikachu).
Gender: Female.
Level: 12.
Nature: Serious (natures don't bother me).
Moves:
* Thundershock
* Tail Whip.
* Quick Attack
* Thunderwave

I knew I shouldn't have gotten rid of growl ¬_¬' I'll also update again later :)

I finally managed to beat the Elite 4 now.
I had already beaten Lorelei and Bruno before my last update, and then I got stuck against Agatha. Well, with some luck and thanks to the fact that Victreebel outspeeded Misdreavus, i finally managed to beat her now.
I didn't expect to beat Lance, so I didn't save, but I did beat him, Primeape swept half of his team (but died more than once in that process) The rest got worn down by Victreebel's Sludge Bomb while asleep.
Then it was rival time. I expected him to still lead with Pidgeot, but I was wrong. But it didn't matter, the Heracross he sent out against my Primeape got OHKOd anyway. The same happened to Tyranitar, which was next. (why does he sent Tar and not Alakazam against a fast fighting type? lol...)
Next was Arcanine, it took an EQ because of intimidate and KOd Primeape and Victreebel which I accidentally sent out instead of Hypno, but somehow Primeape beat it after getting revived. Then came Alakazam, which now knew Shadow Ball. But since it's Attack stat is pathetic, Hypno CMed up (so the rest will be easier) and beat it. This would not have been necessary, Gyarados KOd it with a Hyper Beam shortly after, just to get Rock Slided to death while recharging. Last one was venusaur, it killed Primeape which I accidentally left in with Sludge Bomb, but got killed by Hypno after 2 Psychics without doing any serious damage.

Sucked against the first Elite 4 round, but crucial in the second one. I should have spend the time to get an Adamant one, the more attack would really have helped.

http://i50.tinypic.com/5m0lsy_th.pnghttp://i48.tinypic.com/2aezdsp_th.pnghttp://i46.tinypic.com/2eedbhh_th.png
MVP, definetely. Sleep Powder saved me so many times, it's not even funny. OK, the rest wasn't really good (I didn't even manage to get rid of Secret Power), but still the MVP.

It got a lot worse towards the end, but still a good Pokemon. Too bad the only thing that got boosted by CM was Psychic... But there were no other options, the HP was Bug and its power was horrible. And Thief isn't better as well.

Well, here's another update done recently:

- Trained Meghan in Viridian Forest till she reached level 15. Taught her 'Double Team' over T-Wave.
- Went back to Pewter City and challanged Brock.
- Defeated Brock after the 2nd attempt. While he wasn't as hard like last time, I had to keep spamming 'Double Team' so that Geodude couldn't hit me. After a long haul, I beat his Onix no bother. Obtained Boulder Badge & aquired the tm Rock Tomb.
- Got Running Shoes from the Aide.
- Travelled to Route 3 and beat all the trainers there. Meghan grew to level 18.
- Got to Route 4 and entered the PokéCenter. Bought the Magikarp and ditched it in the PC.
- Went to Mt. Moon and obtained the TM 'Bullet Seed'. Also aquired a Escape Rope.
- Fought some trainers (that were in my way) and Meghan grew to level 19.
- Caught a Zubat & Paras.
- Nearly got defeated of a Rocket Grunt (but had a Revive in hand). Nearly wasted all my Poke Balls before I made Zubat use one attack (did hardly any damage). Sandshrew finished it off before I got Meghan to defeat it.
- Found a Clefairy (female) and captured it. Nicknamed it 'Emily'.
- Used the Escape rope and entered the Pokecenter to ditch Zubat & Paras.
- Entered Mt. Moon a 2nd time and fought more trainers. Emily grew to level 13 whereas Meghan grew to level 20.
- Fought against the Super Nerd to get a Fossil. Took the Helix Fossil.
- Fainted before I entered the Cerulean PokéCenter (I was poisoned but i didn't get the antidote because i thought i could get healed before i died).
- Went through Mt. Moon a third time and got out of it (avoided trainers and wild battles).
- Arrived at Cerulean City and healed my pokes. Also bought 3 Super Potions.
- Went north and fought Zachary once again. Wasn't too difficult other than if it weren't for the Super Potions I bought, Pidgeotto would have obliterated Meghan with Quick Attack (as it left me with 25hp due to Critical hit). Managed to defeat that annoyed with 3hp left and beat my Rival's other poké with relevant ease. Emily grew to level 14 whereas Meghan grew to level 21. Obtained Fame Checker.
- Defeated Nugget Bridge and obtained a Nugget as my prize. Emily was the only one who grew a level here which was level 17.
- Caught a Female Oddish. Nicknamed it 'Petal'.
- picked up the TM 'Attract'.
- Beat all the trainers on my way to Bill. Meghan grew to level 22. Emily grew to level 18. Petal grew to level 17.
- Obtained the S.S Anne from Bill and got: Eevee, Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon added to my Pokédex.

That's all for now. I'll update once again later :)

Edit: Just forgot to add my current team as well. Knew I was forgetting something :(.

Mmkay, after about another hour of training, my team was lv 18, so I went to challenge the Nugget Bridge. Beedrill managed to beat all of my rival's pokemon, up until it lost a psuedo stall war with his Bulbasaur (Sleep powder + Leech seed FML). Butterfree cleaned up with Confusion in the end. Completeley destroyed nugget bridge, and beat Misty using Paras' Bullet Seed for Staryu, and Beedrill's newly learned Twinneedle for Starmie. After this, I went and beat the S.S Anne with Paras, who evolved into Parasect (FINALLY!!!!!). However, since Paras had already evolved, I decided to beat my rival single handedly with Beedrill for the EXP. This time, i managed to beat all of his pokemon, thanks to a combo of Twinneedle and Beedrill's new toy, Brick Break.

Im now getting ready to take on Lt.Surge with Parasect, because of his resistance to Electricity, and his Dig.

Current Team:
Parasect lv24
Docile
Dig
Scratch (Soon to be Slash, then Double Edge)
Leech Life (Soon to be Spore)
Bullet Seed

Butterfree lv24
Naive
Confusion (Soon to be Psybeam, then Psychic)
Tackle (Soon to be Gust, then Silver Wind)
Poisonpowder
Sleep Powder

Beedrill lv24
Adamant
Twinneedle
Brick Break
Focus Enegy (Soon to be Aerial Ace)

Haven't gone through hoenn at all this year so I'll use my sapphire. I'll take for ever because I also just re-started my fire red today and am going through that using just 1 pokemon.

Hmm...
I'll use a Wingull
a Torchic
And Aggron

I'll be evolving them and I shouldn't need any HM slaves. Should be fun but I probably won't start until tomorrow

Just so that I don't forget all that's been happening lately, I'm going to post my update now (before I fight the Third Gym Leader).

- Took on the Cerulean Gym Challange.
- Defeated all the Trainers in Misty's Gym Using Petal. She grew to level 18 and learned the move 'Sleep Powder'. Got rid of the move 'Sweet Scent'.
- Took on Misty. She wasn't as difficult as Brock, but her Staryu had a fetish for making Petal Confused in 1 attempt with Water Pulse. Luckily for me, Petal hardly hurt herself in her confusion and managed to take down Staryu with 3 Absorb's. But Petal got hit with Confusion Twice. When she used Starmie, I switched to Meghan and managed to get it's health down to yellow till two Water Pulse's finished Meghan off. Brought out Petal (who had some damage to her) and made her do Absorb. Took around 2 Swift's to finish off Petal (but managed to Bring down Starmie to red health). Finally, brought out Emily and Starmie's Water Pulse left Emily with half health before finishing off Starmie with Pound. Emily grew to level 19. Obtained the Cascade Badge and the TM 'Water Pulse'.
- Took on the Rocket Grunt to obtain the TM 'Dig'.
- Taught Meghan 'Dig' and got rid of the move 'Slam'.
- Headed towards Route 6 (after underground path) and defeated all the trainers. Petal grew to level 19. Emily grew to level 21 (learned Minimize and forgot Double-slap). Meghan grew to level 23.
- Arrived in Vermillion City.
- Obtained the VS. Seeker.
- Listened to the President of the Pokéfan club and got a bike Voucher.
- Obtained the Old Rod from a Fisherman.
- Caught Diglett in Diglett's Cave.
- Left Diglett's Cave after Petal fainted.
- Bought 5 Super Potions & 15 Parlyz Heal's at the Poké Mart (hey, best be prepared no?).
- Ditched Diglett in the PC at the PokéCenter.
- After many stops at the PokéCenter, and after some training at Diglett's Cave, Petal grew to level 21. it tried to evolve... but I pressed 'B' to stop it from happening. Also - Emily grew to level 22.

I'd have kept playing, but my brother's SP battery went on Red so I saved my file and turned it off. Here's my team so far:

Meghan (Pikachu).
Gender: Female
Level: 23
Nature: Serious
Moves:
* Thundershock
* Dig
* Tail Whip
* Double Team

Emily (Clefairy).
Gender: Female
Level: 22
Nature: Modest
Moves:
* Pound
* Growl
* Minimize
* Sing

Petal (Oddish).
Gender: Female
Level: 21
Nature: Quiet
Moves:
* Absorb

I played Emerald 386 and I must say its pretty hard. I can't allow it because all Pokemon up to the 3rd Gen catch-able isn't fair. Just a normal challenge so that everyone will play fair. (b")b

So now, my main Pokémon is an Ivysaur, Lv. 30, with
Tackle
Poisonpowder
Leech Seed
Razor Leaf

Going to navigate Rock Tunnel, catch a Growlithe, and grind until there's no tomorrow.

Oh, I want to try this out. Sapphire for me!!

I'll be using Sableye, Numel, and Seviper.

Does it count as cheating to use a Zigzagoon in the 6th slot just to pick up stuff? And do we have to use the first one we catch, or can we get a bunch for a preferred nature?

I'd like to join if that's okay.

Username: Arishoz
Game: Emerald
Team: Manectric, Swalot, Camerupt.

I'll have my first update up soon.

I have an update, even though I haven't actually caught the first member of my team yet.

Started game, picked the male character, named him Spencer. Treecko for starter. Did the usual Sapphire stuff, caught a Zigzagoon and a Taillow for HM 'mons, rescued Peeko, took a ferry ride over to Dewford. Went into the cave.

Went back and forth, back and forth, BACK AND FORTH looking for a damn Sableye. Encountered a wild Abra and caught her with a lucky pokeball before she teleported. Then, as if in payback for the luck, I encountered a wild Sableye. Got it down to red health, not quite as low as possible, but any more hits would KO it.

Then I threw two ultra balls, two great balls, (thank you, Zigzagoon with Pick Up) and eight pokeballs at it. Nothing doing. Ran out of balls, and KO'd the thing out of spite.

Exited the cave in disgust. Checked on the Abra to discover she was modest (woot!! Gotta get through E4 on Diamond so I can Pal Park that) considered switching Sableye to Abra before remembering that I don't have the ability to trade between GBA games anymore so couldn't evolve her. Oh well. At least I won't have to go through grinding her up eight levels for an offensive move.

Will re-enter that accursed cave again soon. Sableye SHALL BE MINE.

Update time!

Got Flash; had to catch several other Pokémon to get my count up to 10
Taught Flash to Meowth (which apparently has Pickup :D)
Went through the Rock Tunnel to Vermillion and took the Underground Path to Cerulean
Caught a Magikarp at Lv. 5
Went to Rock Tunnel and entered after healing
Saved
Navigated the depths of the Tunnel, grinding to train the Magikarp
Beat all of the trainers and nearly ran out of PP for Razor Leaf and Tackle
At this point, the Magikarp was at Lv. 17. Partly due to laziness, I used 3 Rare Candies that Meowth had picked up and evolved Magikarp into Gyarados :D
Healed in Lavender Town
Saved

I've decided to use Gyarados as my second party member, so here's what I have so far:
Ivysaur
Lv. 34
-Tackle
-PoisonPowder
-Leech Seed
-Razor Leaf

Gyarados
Lv. 20
-Splash
-Tackle
-Bite
- --

Going to catch Growlithe soon. Very, very soon.

Update!!

-FINALLY Caught a Sabeleye! Only took two balls this time. She turned out to be Adamant. Named her Ceres.
-Ceres was level 10, so we spent some time grinding up in the cave before facing the Gym.
-Gym was cake. I have never loved Night Shade so much before. Ceres was level 17 by the end. Brawly used Knock Off a couple times but otherwise Bulk Up wasn't much use to him, lol.
-Went to visit Steven in the cave again.
-Departed Petalburg for Slateport. Navigated around the beach trainers to explore the city.
-Dealt with Captain Stern's goods and the Aqua grunts. Wandered north of Slateport and fought a couple of trainers. Still have to go back and do the beach run.
-Saved.

Alright, I'll have a whack at this too.

I shall be using FireRed, and my Pokemon (when fully evolved) shall be Wigglytuff, Golduck and Arcanine.

Edit: Have begun:

Chose Bulbasaur. Beat James.
Made my way through all the Oak's Parcel stuff, got Pokedex and Town Map.
Currently training up Bulbasaur to take on Brock, because I can't find Psyduck, Jigglypuff or Growlithe until after Pewter City.

Edit.2: Brock went down easily after a few Vine Whip attacks from Bulbasaur, but I was almost destroyed by Lass Janice and her two Pidgey when I left Pewter City. Currently training and making my way to a place where I can catch my first chosen Pokemon.

Triospecies Challenge: The MasterPokémon Sapphire

I breathe in, and open up VisualBoy Advance, ready for the Triospecies challenge. I've decided the game I'm going to use, and the three Pokémon I'm going to use, so without much hesitation, I load Sapphire. For pure nostalgia, seeing as Sapphire was my first Pokémon game that I independently finished, I watch the intro that has Brendan on his bike, looking at Latias fly pass, but as it reaches the Duskull part, I get bored and skip to the title screen.
"New Game"
Wow, this music brings me back.
Anyway, Birch materializes, and I quickly answer his questions: I’m a Boy, and my name is Haroun. A couple of seconds later and I am inside the truck.
Littleroot Town! I love this nostalgia. It brings back memories~
Anyway, I ‘spacebar’ through the boring lecture your mum gives you, and go to set my clock to the according time. I don't really pay attention to the news, like I never used to (:P), and get out of my house.
I walk to May's house (after accidentally trying to enter Route 101), and listen to her being oh so nervous over my sexiness ramble, and let her run away.
Next stop, Route 10, to save Birch from a wimpy Poochyena! I grab a Torchic, which won't be there for long, as soon as I catch Wurmple. :3 Anyway, I own the Poochyena and receive Torchic, who I nickname Idontneedu, because I don't. :D
I get to Oldale, and take my complimentary Potion, before going straight to Route 103, where I go north to meet the girl who is head over heels 'cause of me~ May, who battles me. However she managed to get a Pokémno super-effective to Idontneedu is beyond me, but I don't care as I thrashed her, anyway. I go back to Oldale, heal, and save outside.
I stalk follow May back to Littleroot, and enter Birch's lab again, where I get my Pokédex and Pokéballs. Mum's kind and gives me my Adidas'. Woot, now I can hold spacebar AND X, and go super fast!
I run up to Route 101 and my first victim is the one I want - a Level 2 Wurmple, Female!
After one Scratch, I threw a Pokéball at the Wurmple, and shoot! It was so close, too! Anyway, another Pokéball is thrown and I capture Wurmple, calling her, in proper lowercase, Dustox (a force of habit).
I now hastily run to Oldale Town and deposit Idontneedu. Dustox'll have to fend for herself!
I heal and save in the PokéCenter. Part one complete!

Stats:
Pokémon: Wurmple - 1/3
Progress: Recieved PokéDex and Pokéballs, Defeated May, received Running Shoes, caught Wurmple.

May I try this challenge? It's been a while since I've done one.
If so, I've decided to use Leaf Green and use (fully evolved) Victreebel, Poliwrath, and Flareon.

Well, I got a Virus on my computer from my brother downloading stuff, and the Malware remover deleted my save file. I would do the challenge on my actual cartridge, but It's just faster on the computer.
Mind if I do Emerald instead? I'll use Shiftry, Crawdaunt, and Camerupt.

Yet another update from me!
Yesterday was a great day for me, as I finally grinded up to the levels I wanted and progressed. In a nutshell:

Completed the Pokémon Tower, but stopped when I got to the Marowak because I didn't have a Silph Scope
Went to Celadon and completed the Game Corner/Rocket Hideout with no problems whatsoever
Beat Giovanni and got the Silph Scope, then headed back to Lavender and completed the top floor of the Tower
Got the Poké Flute from Mr. Fuji
Headed back to Celadon and beat Erika with ease (Flame Wheel FTW)
Caught the wild Snorlax (first time I ever did so; it owes me a LOT of Great Balls)
Headed down to Fuschia and tried to challenge the Gym, but turned back when I realized how strong Koga would be
Flew to Saffron (at some point, I had already obtained the Tea and gave it to the security guards)
Using my prior experience in FireRed, I got the Card Key from the 9th floor
Beat both my rival and Giovanni and got the Master Ball
Beat Sabrina with relative ease (Venasaur couldn't stand Psychic a lot)
Headed back to Fuschia
Got the Gold Teeth, Surf, and Strength
Began challenging the Gym... again...
Saved

I'll post Pokémon movesets and whatnot later.

MOAR UPDATES

Beat Koga (I officially hate Poison types with the deep burning fire of a thousand suns; thank God for Leech Seed)
Traveled to Cinnabar and easily found the Secret Key in the Mansion
Beat Blaine (once again, easily) with Gyarados, which now knows Surf)
Flew to Viridian and beat Giovanni with Venusaur and Gyarados
Beat my rival and his Pokémon (that battle actually took effort)
Validated myself with the guards near Victory Road
Saved

I'm going to level up Growlithe until it learns Flamethrower, and then kill the 1337 4. :)

We have to update before each Gym Match, and it's taken me a while but I'm finally strong enough to beat Misty. ^_^;

Caught Lv3 Female Jigglypuff on Route 3. Nicknamed her Hypnos after the Greek god of sleep.
Hypnos only knew sing, so I trained her with Ivysaur. Upon growing to Lv4, she learned Defense Curl.
Entered Mt Moon and trained Hypnos to Lv8.
Picked up a Moon Stone and decided to save evolution until Hypnos had a better moveset.
Chose Dome Fossil and barely got out with my Pokemon alive! ;_;
After healing in Cerulean City I trained Hynos some more. Upon reaching Lv9 she learned Pound.
After more training Hypnos reached Lv14 and learned Disable, and when she reached Lv19 she learned Rollout & forgot Defense Curl.
When she reached Lv22 I fought James again. During the battle defeated Pidgeotto & Ratatta quite easily but only just defeated Charmander by using Rollout. Abra kept trying to use Teleport, so Hypnos easily defeated it.
Obtained Fame Checker from James
Went through Nugget Bridge + TR grunt pretty easily. Hypnos to Lv25
Trained in grass and defeated trainer in grass next to bridge. Upon reaching Lv29, I decided not to learn Rest.
Went to visit Bill, defeating trainers along the way. He called me beautiful. =3 Obtained SS Ticket.
Went back to Dig dude's house & fought Rocket Grunt. Hypnos grew to Lv30 & I obtained Dig TM.
Jouneyed to Vermillion City. Obtained VS Seeker & Bike Voucher. Exchanged voucher for Bike.
Did more training and Hypnos reached Lv33
Got on SS Anne. Fought some trainers, learned I had to get through Rock Tunnel before I could capture a Growlithe. Hypnos reached Lv35
Headed back to Cerulean to face Misty, Hypnos having recently exchanged Pound for Body Slam.

Hypnos is a male name, but I don't plan on changing it.
Caught some Pokemon including Ekans, Oddish, Meowth, Dugtrio & Pidgey because I wanted to. Meowth's pickup ability is proving useful, Dugtrio is my Digger and Pidgey is my flier. Pidgey is currently in the Day Care.

Current Triospecies Pokemon:
Hypnos (Jigglypuff)
Lv35
Cute Charm
Sing
Rollout
Body Slam
Disable

Ho ho! Lombre eh?
Cool, your added.

I meant ludicolo my bad >.> not lombre whatever though.

Heres an update though:

Current team:
Lombre:
Level 16 Modest Nature
-Nature Power
-Absorb
-Astonish
-Bullet Seed

Whismur
Level 14 Careful nature
-Pound
-Uproar
-Astonish
-Howl

Mudkip
Level 9 Jolly Nature
-Tackle
-Growl
-Mudslap

Nincada
Level 6
-Cut
-Scratch

Darn need more posts to put up the sprites

Started up named "Owner?!" picked up mudkip for starter and moved out to oldale and back. After finishing up intro stuff caught a lotad (level 3) at route 102 and promptly leveled it up to 7 via switching with my mudkip before fully using it. Traveled through rustboro, met dad, continued through route 104 and petalburg woods battling trainers as I went. Some particularly annoying battles were lotad vs. seedot.

Got to rustboro and trained my lotad to 14 where it evolved into a lombre. Also picked up bullet seed on the way. Caught a whismur and took on the gym with lombre and whismur leeching off double battles and the gym leader. Beat Roxanne and retrieved Devon Goods to get a Pokenav, now heading south to battle rival and to the 2nd gym as well as a fresh makuhita to train.

Major updates from me!

Got through Victory Road; wasn't too hard except for that one person with that Chansey. Took a million turns to get through it.
Got up to Indigo Plateau, where I saved. At this point, my Growlithe didn't know Flamethrower, so I grinded in Victory Road and on Mt. Ember until it did.
Went to Celadon to get a Fire Stone, which I used too evolve Growlithe into Arcanine
Went to Two Island to teach Venusaur Frenzy Plant, since I didn't feel like teaching it Strength and I needed it for Lorelei
Headed back to Indigo Plateau and saved
Deposited my two HM slaves (Aerodactyl and Meowth)
Stocked up on items (I went in with 20 Revives, 20 Full Restores, and a bunch of other items)
Challenged Lorelei. If it wasn't for Gyarados, I would have died right then and there. I did die about three times (of course I used the save that I took before I started the challenge so I wouldn't lose anything), but on my fourth run, I got through without any major difficulties and saved after healing.
Beat Koga easily; Arcanine knew Aerial Ace, which made it a walk in the park (oddly enough, Gyarados can't learn it, despite it being a Flying type)
Agatha was quite annoying. Her Gengar with Double Team spammed it, and I couldn't hit it. So out of frustration, I sent out Arcanine and Aerial Aced it to death. Cheapness for the win ^_^
Lance... oh my god, I hate him so much. It wasn't so much an issue with his other Pokémon; they went down without much of a problem. His Dragonite, however, took a lot of work to kill. I Toxic'd it, Leech Seeded it, and Frenzy Planted it at one point, but nothing killed it. Gyarados, at that point, was the only surviving member. By a Deux Ex, I hung on with about 12 HP after an Outrage and watched as it went down to a Leech Seed drain. Epic win right there.
Healed my Pokémon (at this point, I had about 8 Revives/Full Restores and a few other items) and saved for Paul
Went into the Champion's room and faced him. His Pidgeot was annoying due to its Speed, but after some strategizing, I killed it. Paul sent out his Rhydon, which promptly fell to a Surf from Gyarados. He sent out his Gyarados, which I countered with Venusaur (the fact it can't learn any Flying moves was good for me :) ). He spammed Dragon Rage while I Leech Seeded it, and eventually, he began using Thrash. I then killed it with Frenzy Plant :D . His Alakazam... that was not fun. I Leech Seeded it while it used Future Sight, then died to a Psychic. The next millenia was spent reviving and fainting and squeezing in attacks at every possible moment, until it finally died. He then sent out Exeggutor, which I destroyed with a few powerful Flamethrowers (I think it was a 2HKO). Finally, he sent out Charizard. Gyarados was the counter, and I squeezed a few Surfs in until he used a Full Restore. I then healed myself and began spamming Surf again, until he used ANOTHER Full restore. I hit him with a few more Surfs before Charizard sent out a critical Fire Blast, rendering Gyarados out for the count (keep in mind that it had about 5 HP or some ridiculously low figure like that). I then switched into a hurt Arcanine, and not wanting this win to slip through my fingers, I used ExtremeSpeed. His Charizard went down, and I became Champion.
My three Pokémon became Hall of Famers and I went back to Pallet Town, saving.
Began talking around, figuring out how to get to the other Sevii Islands. Turns out, I need to complete my abysmally empty Pokédex, which had a bit over 100 entries seen and a ridiculously low 24 caught. I've got some work to do...
Saved

So, yeah. Beat the 1337 4, finally! My current party is:
Venusaur
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/2/23/Spr_3f_003.png
Level 51
Moves:

Frenzy Plant
Toxic
Leech Seed (for those of you who talk it down, you're gravely mistaken. It's an awesome move, and saved my butt during the E4 challenge)
Razor Leaf

Stats:
HP: 153
Attack: 87
Defense: 111
Special Attack: 120
Special Defense: 134
Speed: 114

Gyarados
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/1/17/Spr_3f_130.png
Level 49
Moves:

Bite
Strength
Earthquake (for those pesky Electric types)
Surf

Stats:
HP: 172
Attack: 126
Defense: 113
Special Attack: 78
Special Defense: 120
Speed: 108

Arcanine
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/2/2b/Spr_3f_059.png
Level 50
Moves:

Bite
ExtremeSpeed
Aerial Ace
Flamethrower (this is the reason why I waited so long to evolve it)

Stats:
HP: 161
Attack: 134
Defense: 106
Special Attack: 126
Special Defense: 92
Speed: 103

Now, I need to get the National Pokédex and do the Sevii Islands. I've yet to see a bunch of them; I'll post back as I continue seeing them. (For some reason, I haven't seen a Squirtle. Weird.)

EDIT: I've seen 44 Pokémon now. 16 to go.

If remember right, you can "see" a Squirtle on the route before Vermilion. The boy who is talking with a girl.

It doesn't really matter now; I got the National Pokédex. So I guess... MOAR UPDATES!

Caught a bunch of Pokémon and evolved the stuff that doesn't require any effort (Eevee into Vaporeon, Weedle into Beedrill, etc.) so my Pokédex was filled with 60 complete entries
Saw Prof. Oak and got the National Pokédex
Took the ferry to One Island
Spoke to Celio
Went to face the Rocket Grunts at the base of Mt. Ember (I really like that one grunt's line where he says "Develop amnesia conveniently and forget everything you heard!")
Navigated the innards of Mt. Ember until I got the Ruby, then used an Escape Rope to go back to the surface. Cheap, I know ^_^
Gave the Ruby to Celio and got the Rainbow Pass and the new Town Map
Went to Five Island
Decided not to figure out Icefall Cave immediately and moved onto Six Island
Realized that once I got to the Rocket Warehouse that I'd need to go to Icefall, went back to Five Island and saved

I'm moving along in the challenge. Once I complete Celio's Network Machine, I can finally finish it! I estimate I'll be done in a day or so.

Well, I finished it. I finally finished FireRed.
EDIT: Listing now.

Got HM07 and taught it to Vaporeon.
Faced Rocket Grunt and beat him.
Went to Ruin Valley and sliced open the door with Cut
Nearly got the Sapphire, but that guy stole it from me.
Went to the Rocket Warehouse and beat everyone.
Taught Sludge Bomb to Venusaur, deleting Frenzy Plant.
Got the Sapphire (again) and gave it to Celio.
Went to Cerulean Cave and caught Mewtwo.
Saved.
Today (everything prior was yesterday), I level grinded and beat the E4 again. Wasn't fun. I don't feel like recounting the entire story, but I beat Paul a second time. So yeah.
Saved.

This challenge was fun. Believe it or not, it's the first time that I've ever beat FireRed, so I'm very pleased. And now, I can abuse the Emerald cloning glitch with Mewtwo and other things! :D Thank you, Zelfier, for making the challenge.

Oh yeah, I haven't read your other post yet. :P
You're on the winners list.

Also, if you want to do that you can but you cannot post updates here since this is just for GBA games.

EDIT:

Also, since your the very active challenger here:

Whatever, I am here to take this challenge again, on Ruby version. This time my team shall consist of Graveler, Muk and Xatu.

Here's already my first update: Consists only of boring early stuff, so don't even bother to read.
The early stuff was the same as always: I chose Mudkip because it's the best slave, caught 5 Zigzagoons, skipped as many trainers as possible, beat Roxanne and got access to Dewford.
Caught a Geodude (with Ultra Ball, pour le lulz) there, deposited Mudkip (lv.14) and beat all the skipped trainers and then delivered these goods.
All that was pretty obvious, but then I decided to go for Brawly before Slateport, and after one 5 or so tries, I beat him. With 1 HP left after a 2-hit Arm Thrust follwed by an OHKOing Magnitude 9. Pretty close.
Sailed to Slateport's beach then and saved there.

Team:

Grave / Geodude f Lv.21 @ Silk Scarf
Impish Nature / Rock Head

- Defense Curl
- Magnitude
- Rock Throw
In the weird pirated Gold and Silver versions I had the dubious luck to have, Graveler was called Grave due to a 5 character limit. I thought I might as well steal that "idea".
About the moves: I made some pretty obvious choices here. No Mud Sport because its a waste of a slot, no Rock Tomb because it never hits and no Selfdestruct because it would be foolish.

Update:
Slateport stuff was easy, except for some of the Wingulls and the surfing Zigzagoon.
My rival fight was a lot harder. I could OHKO the Numel with my freshly evolved Graveler, OHKO the Wailmer if Magnitude was 7 or higher, but not the Groyvle, since it resists Magnitude and Rock Throw is too weak. Somehow I finally defeated that thing after a lots of attempts, a lot of grinding, and even more attempts with a Magnitude 10, probably even a critical one.
In Mauville, I only defeated Wattson and went to Fiery Path as soon as possible. When I finally met a Grimer (I should have chosen Sapphire and not Ruby...), it had a crappy nature. Luckily, it was female, so I had to catch a male Koffing and breed them. The first hatched Grimer already came with a decent nature, so I'm using that one. Gave some TMs to it and saved.

Once again, I got a Pokemon nickname from LOTR, this time it's Sarumans spy. Let's see how well this thing will do.

More Update: Beat everyone left around Mauville. Did the entire Mt.Chimney thing. Beat Flannery quite easily. Unlike the next boss, since now it was:
Norman time! First Slaking: It used Facade, Grimer used Sludge and poisoned it. Then, it soon died after a couple of Digs.
Vigoroth: No chance against Graveler.
Second Slaking: Graveler was still out, and on the first turn I gave Grimer a Super Potion. I completely forgot about that that thing has Focus Punch, so Graveler died. Grimer then killed the helpless Slaking via Digrape.

At first, I had some problems with this thing, but since its around level 30, it has done a very well job. And I never knew this learns Dig. Sadly only Dig and not EQ...

Update: Beat Winona.

Team (here I made by far more progress than in the story):
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/3c/Spr_1b_075.png
Grave / Graveler f Lv.43 @ Soft Sand
Impish Nature / Rock Head
- Secret Power
- Defense Curl
- Magnitude
- Rock Throw
Wait, did I say I made more progress with my team than in the story? Well, Graveler is the exception...
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/a/af/Spr_1b_089.png
Grima / Muk f Lv.47 @ Blackglasses
Quiet Nature / Stench
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb
- Dig
- Thunderbolt
As Grimer this was already a good Pokemon, but Grimer was nothing compared to Muk. This thing is purely made of awesomeness, seriously.

Next: Getting Natu, doing all that Team Magma stuff, and maybe even beating the twins.

Update: What I said above+Wallace. I also tried to kill as many of these annoying swimmers as possible while Groudon's drought was active. That made it a lot easier for me to let Xatu catch up.

Team:
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/f/f0/Spr_2s_075.png
Grave / Graveler f Lv.45 @ Soft Sand
Impish Nature / Rock Head
- Secret Power
- Defense Curl
- Earthquake
- Rock Throw
I really need to improve this moveset, it's horrible. I only can think of Brick Break currently though.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/c/c2/Spr_2s_089.png
Grima / Muk f Lv.47 @ Blackglasses
Quiet Nature / Stench
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb
- Dig
- Thunderbolt
I still didn't do what I wanted to do all the time: Get rid of these damn Blackglasses.
(Edit:Muk was definetely not 47 at that time (copypasting fail), it must have been somewhere in its lower or mid 50s.)
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/b/b9/Spr_2s_178.png
Sacrifice! / Xatu f Lv.46 @ Lax Incense
Rash Nature / Synchronize
- Shadow Ball
- Giga Drain
- Night Shade
- Aerial Ace
Xatu looks like the statue of some kind of deity, so sacrifice a goat or something to it!

Update: Beat Elite 4. because of Graveler and Xatu being underleveled, most of the stuff was up to Muk. So, naturally I had a lot of problems with anything Muk can't handle that well.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/b/ba/E_Sidney.pngNo problem. Muk killed most stuff, but Graveler also saw some action in this battle with Brick Break.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/d7/E_Phoebe.pngI hate how she manages to waste tons of my PP every time I fight her. Xatu failed to kill even the first Dusclops, so Muk had to do stuff again. And since Ghost resists Poison, this was anything but easy. Somehow Muk managed to beat her, but it took me quite some Hyper Potions because Psychic kept reducing Muk's awesome Special Defense.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/0/00/E_Glacia.pngEasy. Muk's Sludge Bomb or Flamethrower 2HKOd everything, even Walrein.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/34/E_Drake.pngShelgon died pretty fast, but then I had a problem: 2 Flygons. Luckily, it turned out that none of them has Earthquake, so Muk could slowly defeat them, again with the help of Potions. Altaria died fast, while Salamence caused some problems. It killed Muk with a crit Fly, so I had to use my first in-battle revive.
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/8/88/RS_Steven.pngAargh. Why? Because most of his Pokemon know Earthquake. First was Skarmory, no problem for Muk. After one round he switched to Claydol, so I went to Xatu. It managed to weaken the weird thing significantly, so Muk could kill it. Then, Skarmory returned and died. Next was Aggron, it took a lot of Potions for Muk to kill it. Then it was Metagross time. It outspeeded Muk and could 2HKO it with Earthquake, so I couldn't hit it and he soon got a crit. Then I had to use repetive revives, until he finally started using Hyper Beam. He missed with it 3 or 4 times in a row (finally some luck for me), while Xatu revived my team weakened it with Night Shade. When it hit, Muk returned and killed it off. Finally.
But the battle was not over yet, Steven still had 2 Pokemo remaining. One of them was Cradily. It got boosts on both his first 2 Ancient Powers, but Muk still killed it easily. Armaldo was a different thing. Again, it got +2 on all stats very fast (seriously, wtf?), but luckily it could still only 3HKO Muk so I could occassionally hit. After a lot of Hyper Potions (on Muk) and Full Restores (on Armaldo), it finally died.

http://i46.tinypic.com/22j6e9_th.png
Conclusion of this challenge: I should have done a Muk Solo run instead, since it outclassed my other teammembers by far. And I should have done some grinding before challenging the Elite 4.

Final Team, in very compact form (natures and abilities didn't change anyways, of course):
:t075: Lv. 49 @ Soft Sand - Secret Power, Brick Break, EQ, Rock Throw
:t089: Lv. 62 @ Shell Bell - Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Dig, Thunderbolt
:t178: Lv. 48 @ Lax Incense - Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Night Shade, Aerial Ace

Well, at least this isn't over a month old, otherwise it'd be locked. Um. I think I might give this a try since I'm too impatient with waiting on scramble challenges. I don't know the sign-up sheet, so here.

User: Sydian

Pokemon: Sceptile, Ninetales, and Gardevoir

Yes, I'm aware of the gaps in between catching Pokemon. That's a bother, but oh well. I'm also going to attempt SRing for a shiny Treecko, so it might be a while before I actually start. Depends on how quickly I get a shiny. I might give up on it and just start though. I'll update after every gym; just makes it easier on all of us.

Edit: Changing Luvdisc to Gardevoir because I like double battles and don't feel like missing out on so many. ;;

Edit: Gonna just RNG for a shiny Treecko on Platinum, so I'm about to start the challenge.

Current Progress

(April 16th, 2010)

With my Signature Challenge Userbar completed, there’s nothing holding me back from entering this Challenge. I boot up my Emerald ROM on VisualBoyAdvance, and I’m ready to go!
Boot up ITunes, because I enjoy listening to Rock & Roll while I play Pokémon. It’s just one of those strange quirks of mine.
Named my character Arcelio, started up my clock (which sucks, because it refuses to run with the VBA’s installed Real Time Clock function), and retrieved the usual Potion from Item Storage.
Met May, went off to Route 101, saved Prof. Birch from a Wild Zigzagoon (after choosing Mudkip as my Starter Pokémon), and ran off to Route 101 and Oldale Town.
Decided to do some good, old-fashioned Level Grinding on Route 101. Got Mudkip up to Level 7 (and learned Mud-Slap) before being forced to go to the Pokémon Center upon reaching Oldale Town.
Ran to Route 103, and immediately challenged May, sure that I would defeat her Treecko easily.
Trounced May with Mudkip’s Tackle attack, and reached Level 8.
Did some more Grinding on Route 103, and attained Level 9 with the defeat of a Poochyena.
Got distracted reading a ‘Let’s Play!’ for Pokémon Firered. Damn distractions… I swear, they’ll be the death of me.
Got un-sidetracked, which is extremely difficult, considering how hard I was laughing. I almost completely forgot that I was looking for a R/S/E Strategy Guide.
Got distracted again, after realizing that I had yet to read the newest chapters of the Mangas BLEACH, Naruto, Bakuman, and Fairy Tail. BRB, Manga.
Finally downloaded the Pokémon Emerald Strategy Guide, but got distracted once more by the ‘Game Development’ section…
I have returned from my adventures on the Internetz. I apologize for the delay.
My Mudkip completely wrecks a Wild Poochyena, gains a Level (Level 10), and learns Water Gun!
Finally returned to Oldale Town, only for May to yell at me that we’re going back home. How mean!
Made it back to the Lab with no problems, and May gave me back my Balls (Pokéballs…).
Caught a Wild Zigzagoon, to abuse its Pickup ability throughout the game.
On my return to Oldale Town, I spoke to the Pokémart Representative and received a free Potion. Awesome!
Healed up at the Pokémon Center, and entered Route 102. Such a shame that I didn’t choose Ralts, Poochyena, and Shroomish as my three Pokémon. I could have collected all three of them by now, and trained them to a respectable Level. Oh well, maybe next time.
Defeated every trainer on Route 102, grabbed the berries, and nabbed the Potion at the bottom of the map. During the trainer battles, Mudkip advanced another two Levels (Level 12). Looks like, with the way things are going, Mudkip’ll be evolving at the next Gym.
During a battle with a Wild Zigzagoon, my own Zigzagoon decided to pick up a Great Ball. Great job, Zigzagoon!
Entered Petalburg City, and helped Wally acquire a Ralts, then this weird guy starts asking me about why my clothes aren’t dirty, or something stalker-ish like that. Creepy…
Beat all the trainers on the Route 104 beach, then defeated Cindy as well, and finished out the area by stealing the berries.
Entered Petalburg Woods. Time to catch me a Shroomish!
Found a Shroomish. Little bastard put me to Sleep using its Effect Spore. Caught it anyway, and decided not to nickname him.
Found a hidden Potion on the left side of Petalburg Woods, then left to head back to the Pokémon Center to heal up Mudkip and Shroomish, but not before finding another Pokéball outside of the Woods, and then took the newly picked up X Attack from my Zigzagoon. Mudkip gained two more Levels in the Woods (Level 14).
Warded off a Team Aqua Grunt, got a Great Ball as a gift, and Leveled-Up Shroomish twice against a Trainer battle against two Nincada (Level 8).
Raided Route 104 for berries, including the Pretty Petal Flower Shop, defeated all the Trainers, and ran to Rustboro for healing. Shroomish gained another two Levels during the battles (Level10) and Mudkip gained a Level (Level 15).
After healing at the Pokémon Center, I made a beeline to the Gym, bowling over Gym Trainer after Gym Trainer in my wake. Finally reached Roxanne, and challenged her Rock-type Pokémon with my Shroomish and Mudkip. While battling the Gym Trainers, Shroomish gained another two Levels (Level 12).
Through the use of Stun Spore, Leech Seed, and Absorb, not only did my Shroomish defeat every one of Roxanne’s Pokémon, he Leveled-Up three times (Level 15)!
Returned to the PokéCenter for a well-deserved healing, saved my game, and ended the Challenge for the night.

Personal Thoughts: Great start so far. I caught Shroomish with minimal effort and searching, which is great. Level Grinding is coming along quite well, and all that’s left is to collect my Electrike for the third and final member of the team. Sadly, that’ll have to wait until Route 110.

(April 17 2010)

Well, after creating at least four Userbars for various hacks, I'm finally ready to start up the Challenge again.
Started up VisualBoyAdvance, Emerald ROM already set in. Watch the usual opening, hit CONTINUE, and began.
Threw my Volume switch on my laptop to maximum, and boot up iTunes.
Took a Potion that my Zigzagoon picked up (For anyone wondering, I don't include Zigzagoon on the 'Current Team' list, because he's not really part of the team. He's just there to pick up items and use HMs.)
Went north from Rustboro and grabbed a Super Potion on Route 15. Now, to help the Devon Corporation.

After a battle with a Bug Catcher, Mudkip evolved after gaining a Level during the battle (Level 16), into a Marshtomp. Upon Leveling-Up, I deleted Mud-Slap to make room for Mud Shot.
After battling every Trainer I could, I entered Rusturf Tunnel. That's such a stupid name, 'Rusturf'. Seriously Game_Freak, use better names. Oh yeah, Shroomish Leveled-Up again (Level 16), and learned Mega Drain (I got rid of Absorb). I nabbed the X Special on the side of the Tunnel though.
Snatched the Pokeball in Rusturf Tunnel, battled the Team Aqua Grunt, won, and returned Peeko to Mr. Briney. Shroomish gained another Level during the Team Aqua Grunt battle (Level 17). Zigzagoon picked up a Super Potion throughout all the commotion.
Got yet another Great Ball from the Devon Employee, met Mr. Stone, and received the PokeNav, as well as the task of of being a deliveryboy. I could have sworn I signed up to be a Pokemon Master, not deliver things.
Ransacked everything of use in Rustboro, including the Apartments, and the Cutter's House (Yay, HM 01! If only Cut didn't suck so badly...). Registered May in my PokeNav, then easily defeated her in battle. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!

Taught HM 01 (Cut) to Zigzagoon, took his X Attack, then left off to Mr. Briney's house.
Realized there are more Trainers on Route 116, after cutting down the trees, so I backtracked.
Thoroughly defeated every Trainer left, because their noobishness angered me.
Entered Petalburg Woods, cut down a tree (and sped up global warming), got a free Miracle Seed (which the game refuses to allow me to plant), got another Great Ball, another X Attack, and Zigzagoon picked up an Escape Rope.
Got to Mr. Briney's house without any problems, and took a fun boat ride to Dewford Town.
Entered Dewford Cave after healing at the PokeCenter, because Flash is for noobs that haven't memorized maps.
Found Steven, got the Steel Wing TM (which I'll never use, since none of the three Pokemon I chose have wings), and left Dewford Cave. TO THE CHOPPA! I mean Gym. Yeah... Gym.

Tracked down every Trainer inside Dewford Gym, and defeated all of them using Shroomish. Returned to the PokeCenter for some healing, then ran back to battle Brawly.
Broke Brawly in a quick Pokemon battle, making this the first time that I've ever battled Brawly without using a Pokemon that knew Wing Attack (Taillow, Wingull).

Well, it's been a while!

As you remember, I chose Torchic, Ralts, and Aron's final stages. Well, here's the major events!

Got Torchic.
Grinded Torchic to level 20, getting 4 trace ralts. Adamant, Docile, Jolly, and Brave. :/ I took the Jolly one. Torchic is Flambe and Ralts is Psycodeath
Played a lot more.
Caught ZOD the Aron. KNEEEEL BEFORE ZOD!
Beat up a bunch of people.
Got a bunch of evolutions.
Got to the weather instatute.

CURRENT TEAM:

Flambe the Blazekin, level 41
(Neutral nature)
Flamethrower
Double Kick
Quick Attack
Bulk Up.

Flambe is awesome, eh, kills pokemon and doesn't afraid of anything.

Psycodeath the Gardevoir, level 42
Jolly
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Calm Mind
Double Team.

Took me AGES to find a Trace Ralts, but it was worth it. Psycodeath happens to be the only female on the team, but that's cause Starters are usually male and Zod HAD to be male to fit the name.

Zod the Aggron, level 42.
Impish
Iron Tail
Rock Tomb
Take Down (Since it has Rock Head...)
Mud Slap.

KNEEEEEEL BEFORE ZOD! Zod is awesomely cool.

EDIT: How is my team Electrode, Tentacruel, and Charizard? Explinations would help. :/

Sorry about the delay. I just finished my G/S/C Gym Leader Challenge, and I had to post my progress (I beat Red without going past Level 60). Then, as I was getting ready to start up this Challenge again, I was struck by inspiration for the newest Userbars for this Challenge. I've gotta say though, it's easier making Userbars for Mono-type Challenges, since you can kind of predict what people will use (i.e; Water will use Gyarados, Fire will use their Fire Starter Pokemon, ect, ect). After this, I'm starting my Pokémon SoulSilver Mono-type Challenge (Normal-type), so I don't know when the next update will be, so I'll try to get up to at least Wattson right now.

Booted up VisualBoyAdvance, and opened my R/S/E/FR/LG Challenges folder, finding my Emerald ROM with my data for this Challenge.
Started off my game where I last left off, Dewford Town.
Got on Mr. Briney's boat, and set sail for Slateport City.
After finally reaching my destination, I talked to a little girl that gave me a Soft Sand. Equipped Soft Sand to Marshtomp to increase Mud Shot's power.
Zigzagoon picked up another Great Ball, bringing the grand total up to three Great Balls that he's found.
Entered the Soda Stand, and thoroughly smashed every Trainer in there, just to get some free soda.
After getting my six free sodas, I bought twenty-four more... I'm thirsty.
Beat every Trainer on the beach, then moved into Slateport. Now to find that annoying Captain.
What is up with all the blue uniforms? You would think they would try to be a bit more inconspicuous. Are the police completely useless?
Went to the Shipyard, talked to the second-in-command, and then left to Route 110, to catch my Electrike.
Used my Shroomish's Stun Spore and Tackle attack, along with a normal PokéBall to catch an Electrike. Didn't nickname him.
Went back to Slateport and entered the Museum.
Why the hell am I paying an entrance fee, when this entire Museum is being robbed? They should be paying me to save this boring place.
Talked to one of the Aqua Grunts, who told me that it took some time getting past two women that wanted the $50 entry fee. ...Are you kidding me? You're a damn criminal, yet you, not only payed the entrance fee, but you actually got stopped by security? Team Aqua = Worst Criminals Ever.
Weird Stalker Scott tracked me down again... I'm getting scared now. How the hell does everyone keep getting my damn PokéNav number!?
Set sail back to Dewford, to go back to Petalburg, to run to Rustboro. I want that EXP Share.
Reached my destination, gave the EXP Share to Electrike, and started Level Grinding my Shroomish.
Ran out of the Woods, set sail to Dewford, then Slateport.
Defeated all Trainers on Routes 110 and 103.
Entered the Trick House, since it's free EXP.
Shroomish evolved into a Breloom! Yay. As soon as I get back to Slateport, I'm naming him 1-UP. Extra points to those that understand that joke.

Got the code, opened the door, and got the Trick Master to give me a free Rare Candy. Then he complained about losing, and how he would be back. All in all, Fission Mailed.
Beat May. Grovyle was a real prick. Breloom (who I named 1-UP) eventually beat him after Electrike used Thunder Wave to slow him down.
Went back to Slateport, healed, then renamed everyone. The nicknames will be in the 'Current Team' section.
Entered Mauville City, beat all the Trainers on the right, went to the PokéCenter, healed, then went off to the Gym.
Beat Wally, which makes me kind of depressed. I mean, I basically just beat the hell out of the only friend that a sick kid has. Makes me feel like a ****.
Stalker Scott showed up again. I really should get a taser-gun for these kind of situations. He then tells me he idolizes people that hurt sick people, and their friends. Sick bastard...
Entered the Gym, and defeated all the Trainers, and solved the puzzle easily.
Stomped Wattson down with Marshtomp and Breloom.

And that's it for the day. Not bad for the day. Caught my Electrike, got a new Badge, forced May to gb2kitchen, and Leveled-Up quite a bit.

Defeated Brawly last week, but didn't update 'cause for some reason PC won't load properly the past few days. Anyways:

After defeating Roxanne, I went out of her GYM to withdraw Loafy.
I taught Loafy Cut.
Went onto Rusturf Tunnel and saved Peeko. Got the Devon Goods.
Backtracked to Rustuboro City and got a Great Ball, yay!
Got the PokeNav.
Defeated May, sorta. Brenny took a lot of damage when he battled Torchic.
Went to Dewford via Mr. Briney.
Got the Old Rod.
Fished for a Magikarp, captured him and named him Flood.
Captured an Aron at the cave and named him Potter.
Did the Letter to Steven event first.
Grinded Potter to Lv. 17 and took on the GYM.

Got some time on my hands, so I figured I'd update. Enjoy.

Traveled up to Route 111, battling Trainer after Trainer.
Challenged the 'Winstrate' family with Breloom at the head of the party. This should kill a few minutes.
Victor wasn't even a mild threat to me, or Breloom. His Taillow never got the chance to attack so much as once before it was destroyed by Headbutt, Zigzagoon following suit after a Mach Punch.
Victoria was just as easy, no sexual innuendo implied. Her Roselia never stood up to Breloom, one Headbutt laying it down for the count.
Stomped through Vivi like it was a walk in the park. So far, these matches wouldn't even make decent entertainment. Hell, these battles make public television nearly watchable. But only nearly.
Vicky wasn't difficult either. Her Meditite lived through one Headbutt, used Meditate, then died from a Mach Punch. This confirms that the entire Winstrate family sucks, and only noobs are beaten by them. Take that, nameless blue-haired NPC on the right! Does that sting?

Wally called me while I was leaving Route 111, after realizing I need Rock Smash. Seriously, how do all of these damned people keep getting my number!?
Went off towards the east, entering Route 117. Defeated two female Trainers in a double battle, and spoke with the Day Care Couple afterward.
Got nine Wepear Berries. I don't know what they do, but hey, at least I've got 'em.
Beat down Pokemon Breeder Isaac, which wasn't that hard. His six Pokemon were still no match for Breloom.
Started Level Grinding, since I felt like Elecktrike was starting to get left behind, along with Marshtomp.
Is it just me, or does every member of the Triathlon Trainer Class have Doduo? I mean seriously people, try a little variety. If you did, maybe my Electrike would stop kicking your asses so badly. I doubt it, but you never know.
Beat Pokemon Breeder Lydia just as easily as Isaac. Her three Water-type Pokemon were great EXP for my Electrike.
I think I missed HM Rock Smash earlier in the game, so I'm going to trace my steps back, and go to Rustoboro. Worst case scenario: I ended up going back there for nothing, but at least I got some EXP on the way.
Beat down every trainer on Cycling Road with Marshtomp.
The HM Rock Smash was in Mauville... Goddammit.
Taught Rock Smash to my HM Slave, Zigzagoon, and had him break the rock in Rusturf Tunnel. It's still a stupid name for a tunnel. Got HM Strength for my good deed though, which goes to show that you should help out strangers, provided that you have probable cause to believe that they'll give you nice things if you do.
Broke the rock on Route 111, and fought against a news crew. Attack the press! I chose to not give them an interview, since I prefer if thousands of people didn't know who I was. Not like it'd help though, considering they can get my PokeNav number without even trying.

Electrike evolved into a Manectric! Yay! I now have a team full of Stage 2 Evolutions. That won't last long though, I can tell.
Saved my game on the outskirts of a desert sandstorm, and closed out VBA.

Ok, defeated Wattson hours ago. :D
I'm too lazy to say what I've done. You already know that its storyline stuff. >.>
Oh, and by the way Flood and Brenny evolved. Now they're unstoppable!
I was gonna go for a Spore + Focus Punching Breloom, but its better to evolve him early.

Ok, just the battle with Wattson:

TEAM

Brenny, the Breloom
Male Lv. 25 @Miracle Seed
~ Headbutt
~ Mach Punch
~ Stun Spore
~ Mega Drain
He's fast, he's mean but he's not a Spore + Focus Punching Breloom.

Potter, the Aron
Male Lv. 24 @Soft Sand
~ Tackle
~ Mud Slap
~ Metal Claw
~ Headbutt
With high defense that can make him survive Self Destruct attacks, he is only damageable by water.

Flood, the Gyarados
Male Lv.24
~ Splash
~ Tackle
~ Bite
High attack, FTW!!!!!

Actually, this team was after Wattson. I'm currently at Fallarbor right now, I'll update once I beat Flannery. :D
EDIT: Anyone knows where I can get an early Heart Scale?

This is going to be so much fun! I'll post an update soon.

Game: Ruby
Team: Shedinja, Ninjask, and Swampert

Game: Ruby (Emulator)
Team: Shiftry, Masquerain, Aggron

Yep gonna start now.
OK, I picked Mudkip because none of my team can Surf, and beat May with ease (it took four tackles) I now have my five Poke Balls and I'm going to catch Seedot and Surskit with it.

EDIT: Would it be against the rules to hack the game to make Surskit more common in places it already exists? I haven't done it yet, just making sure its allowed.
REDIT: Never mind, I found one anyways.

It's been a while since I last did a challenge (Normal Mono Type challenge on FireRed a year or two years ago), so this one sounds nice and I'll be doing:

Game: Ruby (Catridge)
Pokémon: Linoone (Normal) | Mightyena (Dark) | Crobat (Poison/Flying)

I'll start my challenge soon hopefully. I'm looking forward to this.

Part One - (Just Like) Starting Over
Date played: 12/05/2010

So this story of a young trainer started like any other, with the predictable opening introducing the Pokémon universe and the other usual tedious stuff. This story however started a little differently. Our main protaganist was travelling to his new home in the back of a moving van. Great parenting Mother and Norman! I'm going to call the Social Services and Childline once I've beaten the Elite Four.

Anyway, I was introduced to my new home, which currently consisted of a Machoke doing strange things to the television set and another Machoke constantly walking back and forth with a box. Dear me.

So on the orders of Mother, I set the clock and got the traditional Potion from the computer and left to meet the most boring neighbours ever. Bland mother and May, who I originally thought was the most irritating character in the series, until Lyra came along. May is a sucky rival, unlike the extremely cool R/B/Y and G/S/C rivals.

So, found Professor Birch, who fails so hard since he can't defend himself from a Poochyena (protaganist likes the look of that little wolf) and grabbed Treecko from the bag of drugs, I mean balls. Defeated Poochyena with ease, vow to catch one soon and return with Birch to his lab of tricks, where I nickname Treecko, Gecko. After trying to refuse to see his **** of a daughter, I eventually agree and Birch tells me she'll teach me how to be a trainer. Yeah right, I'm the master, she's just a crappy character.

Do the usual stuff, beat May's Torchic easily, despite not having even trained Gecko. He grew a level and returned back home to get a few Poké Balls, the Pokémon equivilant of Wikipedia in the Pokédex and the Running Shoes from our wonderful parent of a Mother. This makes up for keeping me in the back of a van.

Straight away, a Zigzagoon (Raquel, may change the nickname) and Poochyena (Duran, named after the band Duran Duran and their song, Hungry Like the Wolf) appear and they are caught easily. Training them is difficult, but worthwhile. Is irritated by how often Tackle actually misses though.

Raquel's Pick Up ability is useful though and has currently managed to pick up items such as a Nugget, five Super Potions, a Full Restore and three Ultra Balls. Underrated Pokémon definitely. Duran is a little weak at this stage, but still quite good, just fragile and his attack is a little bit weaker than I'd like.

Saw Norman and dickhead Wally (again, another crap character) who needed help catching a Ralts, when he seemed perfectly fine to me. Pointless tutorial.

Went into Petalburg Woods, saw Team Magma bullying a man in uniform and I proved that Duran was highly superior to the Grunt's Poochyena and he ran off crying, since he failed to even make an attack on me. Man in uniform cried with happiness and gave me a Great Ball. Would've preferred a Master Ball, but still can't have everything.

Training my team for Roxanne was a little tedious, however and I fought every trainer and battled in the grass repeatedly. Once Duran learned Bite, he became much more useful and has since overtaken Raquel as my stronger team member and handled Roxanne pretty easily, despite her instance on using two potions on her Geodude and Raquel getting knocked out by Nosepass after a few Sand-Attacks. Got the first badge and now I'm going to take a break in updating until I've beaten the next Gym.
