this game gets me confuzlled and I WANT MEWTWO what do I do to get mewtwo? what do you do to the mysticticket? and how come the battle tower people have shiny pokemon? I mean just last night two twins had a green espeon....was it green? I dunno the light was not bright enough! I mean YEAH I have shiny wooper and pidgeot (HOURs OF SEARCHING FOR A PIDGEY!) I am pretty happy with myself with that but please help!

Mewtwo - Catch 60 Pokemon, defeat Elite 4, go to Prof. Oak and get the National Dex. Then go to Cerulean City, up the bridge, then surf down 'till you see Cerulean Cave. Navigate your way through that and you'll find Mewtwo

Mystic Ticket - Cheat using a GS/AR or go to a Nintendo event when they release it

Shinies - Any Pokemon you encounter either in battle or in the wild can be shiny. Even ones in Battle Tower. It's nothing out of the ordinary

You've been inside Cerulean Cave? The way to Mewtwo is not terribly hard, but it is not the most obvious route. Just keep trying, and you'll reach Mewtwo eventually. Remember to save before all Legendary battles!! :dead:

There is a good chance of seeing quite a few Shiny Pokemon in the Battle Tower. I think the programmers did it to make us mad. LoL!

I've seen only two of them in the wild. :disappoin

Well, it seems that the thread creator's questions have been answered so I shall answer Tacoman's question. ^_^

Well, shiny Pokemon are differenty colored from their regular version. Here's and example of a regular colored Charmander, versus it's shiny colored version:

As you can see they are different colors entirely. You can tell if a Pokemon's shiny because it will sparkle once it enters battle. The ways to obtain shiny Pokemon are just by chance and pure luck. You have to travel in the game for a loooooooooooong time before you see a shiny Pokemon, normally. Or, there's a cheat to get certain shinies, but let's not go there.

You need to fix the Network Trading Machine on One Island to gain access to the Cerulean Cave. Read the FAQ on information on fixing the machine (which involves the Sapphire plate you mentioned so you might as well read it).

The sapphire is on island 6.
