ok im trying to hunt for a female abra in the granit cave in Ruby. all i am finding is ****ed males and i need a female....i know that you an get females but does anyone know the actual percentage chance at all?

is it the same as G/S/C? i think that was 75% males and 25% females

ive encountered over 30 so far and no females at all.

also if i level up a kadabra to learn psychic could i breed it with the female abra i eventually get and get an abra with psychic when the egg hatches? or can u only get egg moves? (otherwords is it like G/S/C breeding were u can get naturaly learned moves early by breeding and then the breeding chains and stuff like that?)

thanks in advance and a quick answer would be great.

thanks

Yep, it's 75 percent male and 25 percent female.

And for the second question...I'm pretty sure the Abra will be orn with Psychic.

There are 3 types of moves a Baby Pokemon can learn. Egg Moves, TM moves, and Inheritance moves. Egg moves you already know about, TM moves are moves which to teach to the father and the baby Pokemon should have. Inheritance moves are a bit different though. BOTH parents must know the move (in this case Pyschic) to be able to pass it on to the child. So, you'll have to level both a Kadabra and an Abra to Lv 36 in order for your baby Abra to learn it. Sorry. :/

No idea where you're getting inheritance moves from, but it's only males that determine egg moves. So, you just have to have a male Kadabra with Psychic, not necessarily a female (but if you want a baby Abra, you need a female Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam).

I just called them that off the top of my head. >.< But in the case of both parents knowing a move that the baby can learn, it'll automatically breed down to the baby. I don't know why, but I tried this with my Meditite. When the Father Meditite had Hi Jump Kick, the baby did not learn it. But when both parents had Hi Jump Kick, the Meditite learnt it. I didn't expect it... but it works. :/

i found it only works with some moves...i tryed to get my abra to get these moves:

phychic
recover
reflect

he only got Psychic and Reflect and not Recover (the one i really wanted with psychic) i think it also depends on ow many moves the pokemon can actually get from hatching (from memory now Abra family can only learn 2 max moves after reading my GSC strat book)

ok thanks again guys..

Kadabra learns Recover naturally on level up anyway, so no need to worry about getting it via breeding. And you can pass on all 4 moves if the child can learn them.

Recover wasn't passed because Abra itself cannot learn it.

In this case Abra can learn Psychic and Reflect WITH just a male for two reasons:

1.) Psychic and Reflect are TMs. If they are TMs, then just the male needs to know it.

2.) Abra can't learn Psychic by level, nor Reflect :/

all abra can learn through level up is just teleport

Yeah, that is true. But it can still learn a wide variety of moves by breeding, TM or Move Tutor - and since you can breed TMs and Move Tutor moves, all of these possible moves can be bred onto Abra:

Attract
Barrier
Calm Mind
Counter
Double Team
Double-Edge
Dream Eater
Encore
Facade
Fire Punch
Flash
Focus Punch
Frustration
Hidden Power
Ice Punch
Iron Tail
Knock Off
Light Screen
Mega Kick
Mega Punch
Metronome
Mimic
Protect
Psychic
Rain Dance
Reflect
Rest
Return
Safeguard
Secret Power
Seismic Toss
Shadow Ball
Shock Wave
Skill Swap
Snatch
Substitute
Sunny Day
Taunt
Theif
Thunder Wave
Thunderpunch
Torment
Toxic

Not a bad list for a Pokemon that learns only one move naturally (before evolving)
