What is your favorite trait that you look for in a potential friend?

Do you have friends that have this trait?

Do you have this trait?

Personally I hate it when someone tries to mess with me, and my friends just stay quite. I like it when my friends stand up next to me, and say " I got your back, do you want me to kick his ass?"
I have a couple of friends like that already do that, when ever my friends get bullied I try to stand up for them more and more. It can really bring friends closer together.

What is your favorite trait that you look for in a potential friend?
Loyalty. I don't want a friend that says they're my friend, but then go off and never talk to me again.

Do you have friends that have this trait?
Yes. Many of my friends have been my friends for years now.

Do you have this trait?
Definitely. I'm loyal to anybody who I think is worth it.

I want my friend to think like me. I want to him to have the same point of view with me. I want to be his best friend. (Only because the others would be very stupid to be his friends.)
Anyway, I want him to be smart.

1. Someone who can appreciate me, stupidity, (non-existent) humour, wackiness and all.

2. That's the only way someone would want to be my friend.

3. I always try not to judge people and pick favourites.

I look for loyalty or humour in someone else. If they lack either, I doubt I'll get along with them very well.

Of course they do. Otherwise they wouldn't be my friend?

I'd like to think I'm funny. And somewhat loyal. But at the end of the day, everyone betrays someone at least once.

A sense of humor is probably the biggest thing, along with trustworthyness. If they don't have a good sense of humor, I probably won't get along well with them.

I look for:

Open minded
Good sense of humour
Good sense of Games/Movies/Books
Can handle me (Lot's of people say I'm too 'unstable' for them to hang out with)
Will tell me when I'm in the wrong
Will stand up to me

Thats about it. I would say trustworthy, but I have really bad trust problems. But uh... I guess a trustworthy person would be nice.

And I do have friends like that, all of WeAreSoStartled are like that, that's why I adore them.

Do I have those traits? I'd like to think I do, depending on the person.

Well, the first thing I look for is having a good time with a person-because if you don't like being around them, what's the point? After that I look to see if I can trust them or not. Then I try to show that they can trust me too. :)

The problem with this tactic is, I tend to be really quiet at first. :x
