yeah, i haven't done any graphics in quite some time, so i decided to do some.. also no flashy format here, i'm just showing some guys some new stuff.
March 6th, 2010, 2:52 PM
You and youre memeish titles and stuffs.
Anyways, regarding this supposed gallery~
The first one just has awesome colours, could do with a bit more going on but I dunno what.
Second one, I feel could've started like 50px more to the right, to have prevented all that relative emptiness over there, it's cool though. I also need that font ;D
March 8th, 2010, 12:15 PM
Oh, wow ^^ great to see you back on the gfx scene.
They are all good but I agree with Dukey-kun about the no more heroes tag could use a little something extra in the background
March 8th, 2010, 12:27 PM
its original around these parts.
I know what you mean about the NMH one. i was fairly lazy with it D:
Yeah, it's good to be back. ^^
and yeah, as i said, i wasnt doing too much with that one, it was basically an extra so i could post a gallery.
felt like doing a vert. but, eh, wasn't too sure on colour.
March 8th, 2010, 3:43 PM
all of the colorings are gorgeous.
March 9th, 2010, 8:58 AM
they're pretty cool the midna one looks possitivly devios ^^ like it keep up the good work.

at your 1st post.
1st signature- Nice Blending though but the flow is kinda blurry.no c4d no vectors. you used gradient map with purple and orange -> Soft Light->100% i was wondering in this
steps you should make a change of the opacity. the signature is kinda lonely or something.
2nd Signature- Good Use Of render its has nice effects though the background is kinda empty and its lacking some text.
3rd signature- This 3rd is one of my favorites. but it seems to be crop. but i like the effects but i don't know with you if you really made the effects.
4th Signature- Hmmm..this is kinda complicated the render was like swallowing by a dark hole? good use of c4d and nice use of smudges. bad lighting effects.bad text why is it
near the render?
5th- i can't understand a thing though the background seems to be black and white and its acceptable but i can't accept its darkness. its dark no sorry im wrong its too dark for me.he looks like in a body of a water and din't seems to match his facial expression..to bad for you i can rate you..6/10...

ty for the posts gaiz. :3
oh and Maho Minami, personally, i know you're trying your hardest to critique, but you can't just do things on basic assumptions. for example, i did, use a purple/orange gradiant map, but however, i did not put it to soft light 100%. i set it to luminosity, and used other layers to create that effect. but thanks anyway. ^^
did some vectoring. a friend of mine liked bleach, so i did this for him. ulquiorra = emo hotness.
i'm having mixed feelings on adding shading. opinions?
March 12th, 2010, 5:16 AM
hmm i see im not a pro though but i like the steps on how you rendered that bleach guy.
i like the simplicity of that render :3 7/10
March 12th, 2010, 4:33 PM
I can't really find anything much wrong with the vector, though the line at the base is bugging me xD
On the vert, the black & white's contrast should be higher imo, it's all a bit too grey.
On the colour one, I like this, the dark blues could be a bit more vibrant though.

dear lord i hope i can bump. D:
made this to celebrate my obtaining of a legit darkrai. :3
April 7th, 2010, 5:45 AM
^^ I love this one! I suppose some of that love must come from the fact that I love WInd Waker.
The Darkrai one is good, but I think you put too much smoke over Darkrai. It could do with a bit less smoke, and more foreground, but it is still good. I also love the Midna sig.
April 9th, 2010, 2:32 PM
woo, thanks firestar. ;D
jack white = <3
April 9th, 2010, 5:07 PM
I love the white stripe horizontal tag. Very nice. As for the darkrai tag, it's okay with the smoke but maybe tone the red down on it

Jack White (http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg238/rowy95/bb-1.png)
I like this vertical; it looks nice. However, I don't think that cut-off stock at the bottom is necessary. The vertical would still look nice without it.
April 11th, 2010, 1:25 AM
The cut of tag isn't nessessary, as BH said, but otherwise I like it.
What is the little white bit at the end when you posted it here, not there on this ^^.
EDIT: This thread deserves this (hence the name):
April 12th, 2010, 1:22 PM
Thanks guys, and yeah, the little cut off at the end was because the stock wasn't big enough, and i couldn't think of anything else to fill it up. D:
just some random little shiz i forgot to post. :D
April 14th, 2010, 12:02 PM
Very nice. I think that is a very effective use of Grayscale, and it looks very good. Amazing once again!
April 25th, 2010, 8:04 AM
Very nice! Even though it's just black, white, & grey it still has that 'Pop out at you' effect
May 14th, 2010, 12:01 AM
'sup all. kind hoping i can bump here.
anyone else a marvel fanatic? i've been scanning a lot of my comics to the computer and got this crazy idea to make a banner out of one :3

If you're going with inverted tags (http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg238/rowy95/hartttz.png) they need serious depth. Which you're lacking here imo. What would improve this would be some smudge brushing and some abstract stocks around the sides, apply image and work with dodge & burn. But yeah, B&W tags need depth and this is just lacking a little.
Latest (http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg238/rowy95/toxinncopy.png); big issue is the lack of a focal. I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to be looking at, it almost looks like a scratch abstract sig. You need a focal, otherwise it has no flow and it's just a little... messy really.
Jack White (http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg238/rowy95/bb-1.png); is almost getting there, color issues though, too bright and too much red. Try using levels/curves to change that and hop back into selective color or color mixer. I'm not fond of the overuse of red, though I know it is a red stock, there's no need to keep it that way or focus on red. Graphics are about being innovative!
You're on the right track, just keep pushing it, take some more tuts and or look at other graphics for inspiration.
June 19th, 2010, 4:25 PM
Well, i haven't been on this thing in a while. Here's another dump of crap. Kinda makes me wish i didn't stop making graphics last year, i could've gone somewhere with it. :3 they're pretty much all requests from smogon.
and also some art, although it's not really the right place, i hope i dont get penalized.
Oh and by the by, my good abegnation,
If you're going with inverted tags (http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg238/rowy95/hartttz.png)
It's not really an inverted tag per se, if it was, the colours would be inverted into negative. Don't think bad of me, i'm kind of a nazi at 'gfx jargon'

I like the vertical sigs...they have nice lighting and blending on most...i dont care for the poor vectoring but i will admit it is very difficult.
