After the rumored new DS system hit the internet, Nintendo surprised all of us by announcing a new DS system that will be their main attraction during E3, which sadly I am to young to attend.

Nintendo's new DS system will be called the Nintendo 3DS. As you might've already assumed this DS system will have a 3D like system, but unlike movies, like Avatar, this new DS system will NOT require you to wear the goofy looking red and blue glasses.

The 3D system will work something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWAg1s7xfz0) DSiWare game that was released in Japan called Rittai Kakushi e Attakoreda. If you haven't figured it out, it will use a camera to detect your movements, and change the screen thus simulating depth. Which is pretty cool if you ask me.

The Nintendo 3DS will feature backwards compatibility with other DS systems. I am not to sure about the games, however, if there will be 3DS exclusive games. Most of the games will probably work on the non-3D systems though it will take away from the game, but there will be at least one 3DS exclusive game, I bet.

It will be relived at E3, and probably released before March 2011, since Nintendo had said that it will be released before the end of the next cert.

No details have been released beside the 3D and the backwards compatibility, so we will have to wait until more details to be released. Anyway I assume they are doing this because CoroCoro will be having details about Generation 5, and it would have a lot of stuff about this new system, and features GameFreak have added, because of the new system.

The Pokemon part is speculation, of course.

Until more information has been released...
