Jynx Question

I read on a website that there are no male Jynx in Pokemon Crystal so how can you get Smoochum if you can find a male Jynx to breed with a female Jynx, Is the website wrong.

There are no male Jynx - period. All Jynx are female. You can however breed with other human-shaped Pokemon like the Abra or Machop families, or Magmar, Electabuzz, Mr Mime... go look in the Beginners Breeding Guide, then in the Egg Groups list, all of that information still applies to Pokemon Crystal.

You could also try to breed a ditto with your Jynx....

Jynx is all female. That's why it looks like a female. Anyway you can breed it with Humanoid egg groups which is Spinda, Abra, Machamp etc.

There are quite a few Pokemon that 'look male' or 'look female', but can be either. However, Jynx is not such a one, but like the others said, there are many alternatives to exclusive intra-specie breeding. Ditto is a life-saver, but such a pairing takes a lot of patience, particularly if the Pokemon are not yet friendly with you or with each other.

Thanks for the help everyone , i left Ditto and Jynx in the daycare centre, i got an egg , it has hatched and i now have Smoochum.

Hehe sweetkiss comes in handy especially if you use it on all of the legendaries(thats what I did!)

Or you can have a Pokemon Maker and just make yourself a male Jynx ... ;)

Yes, that is certainly possible, but if you want to do it without cheating, it's a useless suggestion. I hardly think people are going to waste £30 on a cheating device just for a male Jynx now, are they?
