View Full Version : PM Ads strike again?

Um... yesterday did anyone suddenly get a barrage of PM advertisements to join a certain site? I'm all out of touch regarding the PC rules now (mainly because I hardly ever visit any forums that have anything to do with applying PC rules... really Strategy and fanfic are quite on their own)... not sure if it's still "allowed" or not.
Well, regardless of the fact that they maybe allowed now, isn't it a bit annoying that you're getting "spam advertisements" as if your PM box is another hotmail account...? x_x;

No it's still not allowed. It most likely some new member joined PC just to PM their forum link because PC is large with a lot of members.

Yea you tell a staff member about it and send the PM to the one you told. And we will ban that member or tell them to stop sending PMs with forum links.

Do you think they signed up here to actually post on PC...I think not. They signed up here with 0 posts #1 to advertise their forums to gullible members which will then in turn go sign up at their "oh so great" invision board or proboards forums leaving them to chat with only 10 people which are active only every 100 minutes. #2 to blatantly post their forum link even though there are rules that state you may not everywhere
I agree with what Andy says on this topic...

Generally people send them to random people.... and then they get banned, because you have to agree to the rules before signing up now. XD
