View Full Version : Personality Types

Well, Plume and I were just talking about this xD so I decided to see what other people got.

Here's the site (so you can do it, too!):

http://www.mypersonality.info/

Account creation is required, but it's fun, and no e-mail activation :D

Basically, it tests your personality type, and your multiple intelligences. If you do it a few years apart, you'll see where you improve in some places, and how things have affected you.

For example, when I was 15, I took this test. That was a couple years back. Here's the results from back then:

http://badges.mypersonality.info/badge/0/20/200673.png (http://yusshinze.mypersonality.info)

and here's the current-day results. Not much of a difference, but I did improve in linguistics and my interpersonality.

This type of test is called the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and can be taken many places on the 'Net, account or not.
I already have and I'm an ISTP.

...never taken this one before, but the results aren't too far off from personality tests I've taken in the past. XD

I suppose it's fairly accurate.

Personality tests can be fun, but remember that it only says as much about you as a 50 question test can say about you. People are far more complicated than that; we have complexities and subtleties that a bunch of questions aren't going to understand.

What fun. This killed some time. Not that I really know what it's trying to tell me I am.

True, but it's always fun to see the results!

Vendak, you can click on the names (like, "Musical" and "Introverted") to learn more about them.

I know what introverted means, I was just questioning how it can try to tell me my personality in the "ISTP info" section, when it only knows basic facts such as my introversion. I should've worded my sentence better.

While this is true and that we have to take into account a plethora of other criteria when we want to determine someones personality, we always need a base category. What I mean is, these tests help to determine that base category and what kind of behavior we might expect to see from the person in question. For instance, the test tells me I'm an INTP, but doesn't tell me a whole lot of other things. The test never claims to be able to tell what our personality is exactly, but it provides a categorization for people who behave slightly just the way that you do.

The fact that the test also provides a percentage as to how much of what you are also shows that you can't really be the same as everyone else. It's saying that you're x, and this guy is x, but your degrees of x vary and that makes us individuals.

I just know there's going to be some negative comments on my post later. >.<

I did this a while back, forgot my details but I remember I was ENTP, but the T was like 54% or something so I'm almost directly down the middle of thinking/feeling.

There are a lot of "Strategists" and "Engineers" on Pokecommunity. I wonder if that has any significance...

And what's an "Originator" supposed to be. What am I, arrgghh????

The website says originators are people like Walt Disney, Wierd Al Yankovich and Celine Dion. Hmm.

ENTP - The "Originator"

ENTPs are logical, innovative, curious and downright inventive. They see possibilities for improvement everywhere and possess the ability to understand complex concepts. ENTPs are introspective and carefree nonconformists. They often neglect the more common areas of life while pursuing new solutions. ENTPs can be good conversationalists and exciting company.

Lame. SPLIT PERSONALITIES.

I was an ISFJ - The "Defender" when I took the test twice in psychology. I read the description; seems very applicable.

I was an INTP - The "Engineer" the first time I took this website's test. So not into logic/theories.

I am an ISFP - The "Artist" today. Loyal and sensitive, but hardly creative or artistic.

INTJ with a wide spectrum of ability. This fits me well. :3

I will say that I'm really borderline on the J part, being only 53% I'm almost an INTP. XD

In response to that, I present you this.

An INTPs ideal is to provide all the ideas for a project and have a charismatic leader, who agrees with him, carry them out. The only area in which an INTP will carry out his own ideas to completion is in his personal interest world, where other people are not involved. For this reason, INTPs are fascinated by computer technology as well as the Internet which gives him a voice that he would not otherwise have.
From here (http://www.intp.org/intprofile.html).
It may not be true for some people since the test only gives a probable analysis, but that's why I can see so many INTPs on the net. General introverts the lot of us...

I know what you mean lol I took the test a few years ago, and I was INTJ; now I'm ISTJ. Not only that, but I did another test on Facebook from the same site, and they said I was most likely an INTJ - again.

Pretty accurate result, though I've taken many quizzes and I am more Visual than I am Verbal. But it's an accurate result all the same.
