I have Sapphire and I have FireRed, and I'm going to make my team of six as such:

MewTwo
Metagross
Salamance
Kyogre
Rayquaza
Blaziken

Before I start worrying about breeding and movesets and such, is this a decent team? And also, is Blaziken a good option, he's the only one I'm worried about, since I need a fight/fire type.

It would be more fun to be able to win with uot the lengendaries, but they do make it easier to win. Well I think it's okay. You can work with it!

Many people dislike playing against "ubers", which on this team are Mewtwo, Rayquaza and Kyogre .

There are 2 Tier 2 Pokemon that are oobers, and one Tier 1.That isn't really good.I suggest you ditch them and post again.Sorry =/.

get rid of kyogre, rayquaza, mewtwo. possibly keep metagross. replace mewtwo w/ alakasm, replace kyogre with vaporeon, milotic or lantern, and replace rayquaza with gyarados.

I'm not battling online, I battle people around here in town at the cafe's, so in other words I'll use what I want, which is those six. Around here you use whatever you want, no one cares. I guess we just aren't as anal in my town. =p

But seriously, is Blaziken a good choice, he's the only one I'm worried about..?

Also, I am thinking about using Absol or Tyranitar instead of Rayquaza, which would be the optimum choice? I feel I need a dark pokemon in there.

Please don't double post, thanks.

And most fully-evolved Pokemon can be useful to some extend, it's just that some are better than others.

As for Blaziken, it's not that he's not useful, but he's not easy to use in the EV system, making his job as a mixed sweeper harder.

Blaziken@Salac Berry
EV: 252 Att, 252 Speed, 6 Sp Def
Nature: + Att, - Sp Att
Overheat
Reversal
Endure
Rock Slide

Overheat overcomes the -Sp Att nature for some good to heavy Fire damage, the rest is just for physical pwnage. Having Tyranitar on the same team will mess this strategy up, however.

Being anal has nothing to do with the limiting of ubers who upset the metagame. Mewtwo's the reason no other psychic types are usable (Well, except for maybe the tank Psys like Claydol and... Claydol).

And if your town isn't anal enough to ban ubers, why the hell would you even consider Absol, the already subpar worthless pokemon when compared to the might of ubers? Just take Rayquaza or Ttar and be done with it. ._.

tho it's like a team of sweepers, that might kill you in the end.

can u like totally like not me so like mean when ppl are like totally seriosuly jsut trying to help u like alot. u know? calling ppl anal is like so being anal, or at least just like super rude, so jsut like plz dont do it? thx. anyways for dark types consider houndoom. ppl love flamethrower/crunch combined, then rest (with chesto berry), and then possibly roar/toxic *forgot what standard moveset is
like totally ya!

Kirby00, go find the standard movesets, there's a coupla GameFAQs pages devoted to them.

Houndoom@Lum Berry
EV: 252 Sp Att, 252 Speed, 6 Sp Def
Nature: + Sp Att, - Att
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Flamethrower
Crunch/Pursuit

Rest is a bad move on Houndoom, gives you that free turn to switch in a physical attacker, and ANY physical move is a OHKO for Houndoom (especially the ever-common Brick Break and Earthquake).

why would u use sunnyday, esp if u are weak to physical. its very easy to be surprised by a mixed sweeper u think is sp. based. neways if ANY move can be sued against houndoom that is psyical and a 1hko then why risk using sunny day. i mean even a delibird could use a body slam .if it goes 1st and 1hko a houndoom. really if u feel that way, a sunny beamer is just to risky

I never said it was the best moveset for Houndoom, I said it was the standard. There are plenty of ways to make Houndoom interesting. Think for yourself, then try them out. If they don't work, then it's a bad moveset, if it works, keep using it.

This is why I encourage the use of NetBattle, so you can test out your movesets.

bite (flinch), flamethrower (burning), roar, toxic

It's funny that you say Houndoom is weak physically and yet you suggest using a Go-Last move.

Also, I never called him anal, please read before commenting.

Kirby, I told you already not ot depend on flitch. You thought if you use Bite then you get a good chance of flinching? Well it doesn't, infact, Bite hardly ever flitches.

it has 30% which is almost 1/3. its not too bad...

That might be more useful on pokemon that can usually withstand a hit or two, but houndoom is far too fragile to risk itself like that.
