No president is complete without it....I wanted to post in the ANDinm board but i can't....I say we have a congress with 8 seats....And you need a political party....Sorry if this in the wrong fourm....

I think this is a bad idea, seeing as the PC president and Vice President don't really do anything special. (Sorry if you guys find this offensive XD) And I don't see how a whole congress could get some colored names. It just seems like a scam to get them if you ask me. =/

mods do help people out...but the point behind it is that mods can have too much power at times...the congreses objective is to act in need of the presedent...what if neither of them decided to give up their position..we need a bavkup...

...that is IF the president did anything. Brittany's titles dosn't give her any powers...and the mods were picked by the admin's so they know what they are doing. Mods all do a good job, it is fine as it stands.

We do not have a lot of power. A Moderator is mini-admins, or the Forums cleanup crew. President dosent do anything but get a colored name.

And mod colored names are for members to easily identify us.

To be honest the congress thing is a bad idea. What good is it but more user groups. We have about *counts*12 maybe more.

The congress idea is bad. We don't need a group of people to say "Yes or no" when we have to lock a thread or something. It's not needed, and the President was not ment to be a staff member. A colored user name and a larger PM box is good.

We honestly don't need any more usergroups. -_- If we had a congress, it would just be a bunch of people holding an incredibly pointless position -- nothing could be done. You have to understand the President and Vice President don't actually DO anything. (Well, FG does, but she doubles as a mod.)

We do not need members who take the control of threads. Moderators are given their powers for tasks on threads, and the it's not the President's job to control it, not a congress (if made).

First, Mods don't have too much power as you state.
Secondly, the President and VP aren’t that powerful throughout the forum. Except the VP which in this case is FG, who is a mod. And there is really no need for this congress as you state. We had elections only for Pres and VP, not congress. If we did we would have had a vote aswell.

If you feel a Mod is abusing his or her privileges, you report them, not whine to other community members. Whining won't get you anywhere. But anyways, I doubt the higher authorities would listen, because Mods have their powers for a reason.

President was a position designed to give a person the position of a wanna-be mod. I don't think positions for wanna-be members should be allowed...

Well thats kinda obvious... and I totally agree.
We have more of a problem with whiners, than we do about the problems they whine about(in my opinion)

Well thats kinda obvious... and I totally agree.
We have more of a problem with whiners, than we do about the problems they whine about(in my opinion)

For example, double posts are not allowed because we should try to reduce the amount of unneeded posts, and remember to use the edit button. But when 20 people spend their posts whining about a double post, that creates: 19 unneeded posts, 19 spammy messages, and 19 messages prone to getting off-topic.

well, if the mods and admins do something that is unpopular the pepole of PC can PM the congress and we could get decisions reversed they dont have to have powers like mods maybe a different color name thats all but the colors of all congress members would be the same.

Forum Leaders are people htat actually do something for PC. Admins, S-Mods, Mods, Practeur, Abby, and President could be given duties if we evre think of anything *evil laugh* but mods are pretty much congress and Steve, Kwes, Casey, and Dubs is our Presidents.

You should never try to challenge the power of Admins and Sub-Admins. They will never give you enough power to reverse their decisions. Thats why there are only a few of these elites, because they are the most knowlagable, trustworthy members, that you should never expect to make a decision that might hurt PC. And if that day ever comes when they actually do something that hurts PC, deal with it. The only people that can change what they did, or take the action needed is another Admin.

Now if it's a small decision, like a forum being moved to somewhere you don't think it should be, or a post that you didn't like, just PM them directly(no need for a congress XD). I'm sure they will be happy to tell you why they took that action.

Mods on the other-hand... Just PM Kairi or something, she'll make any changes needed that she sees fit(if any).You know what else is not needed? Repeatly having everyone say the same thing.. Even with a congress what gives them the right to stop Admins from doing something? If there was one and they pulled a stunt like that then it's "bye, bye congress".



Like I said, PC don't need a bunch of members to tell the staff how to do their job. If something needs to be done we don't need to ask them before doing it. PC is not a Government, it's a forum.
And I would not like to ask some one if this could be done. And a matter of fact if PC had a congress thing then I would not ask them about anything (I was given this spot to do things around PC, not to run off to ask a group of people is this the right thing to do).

If the Senior Staff Member sees that the thread should be locked then it will be locked and that's the end of that. And if it is seen that it should stay open then it's going to stay open. It's not biased or anything, that Senior Staff Member will have the last say so on that matter if two Mods are fighting over a thread.
